it was about 10pm on a friday when geto, gojo, and some others were out having a small drink after a meeting. they agreed it was a celebratory gathering to start the weekend. after a couple rounds, gojo had realized geto had been more quieter than usual, taking note of his eyes drooping and posture leaning back and worth slowly.

“the fuck? are you good?”, gojo chuckled, patting him on the back

“‘want my girl.. m’tired as shit.”

it wasn’t too late, so gojo called you and thankfully, you picked up.

“hi, gojo, what’s up? something wrong?”

“yo, uh, nah but i think your boyfriend is about to knock out.. i think you should come pick him up. we’re at the local bar down the street”

“what?! jeez, m’coming!”

you groaned, running out of your shared apartment, taking your car and driving it to the small bar located on the corner of the street a few blocks down, somewhere you knew geto and his friends visited often when they wanted to celebrate.

rushing in, you half expected you boyfriend to be knocked out already but he was fortunately unfortunately awake. gojo spotted you and helped geto up, helping geto carry his own weight with his arms.

“sugu! oh my gosh, what did i say about not—“

“who the fuck are you?”, getos eyes raked over your body—lingering on your chest—before looking back up with a scowl.

gojo nearly drops geto in shock of what he was hearing. suguru geto? the suguru that was head over heels obsessed with you?

“i have a girlfriend.. don’t.. don’t fucking touch me”, geto slurred out, eyes dropping and barely able to stay open

you took a step closer, stifling a laugh as you moved your head to try to match with his swaying neck.

“baby, it’s me i’m—“

“i said i have a girl.. so leave me alone. wanna get out of this fucking shithole and go home to her.. she’s on the way here so go away..”.

“suguru!”, you nearly shouted as you took his face in your hands and opened his eyelids with your pointer and thumb, “it’s me, hello?”

geto’s face stayed frozen, focused on your for a few seconds before he stumbled forward and enveloped you in his large frame, letting out a quiet whine and almost falling asleep right on you. you stumbled backwards, barely even able to catch him.

“sugu, honey, are you okay?”

“you came for me.. i thought some stripper was trying to take me home”

“wha—?”

“i missed you. satoru stinks like shit.. let’s go home”, he drunkenly mumbled, rubbing his nose in the crook of your neck, traveling up to take a strong whiff of your hair.

gojo stepped forward, helping you get him into the passenger seat of the car, buckling his best friend in so he wouldn’t fall over hit his head.

“don’t give your girlfriend any trouble, suguru”

you laughed, thanking him and bidding him a good night as you drove back home.

“i have a migraine, angel.. can you suck me off?”, he groaned, his head lolling side to side on the car seat headrest.

“yeah, yeah”, you sighed with a smile, “let’s see if you can even make it home”

you giggled, watching him groan as he rubbed his eyes. you were definitely going to tease him about this the next day and thank god gojo took a video of all of it.

Bakugo walks into your shared apartment to see you in the living room surrounded by packages, all excitedly torn open with discarded bubble wrap lying around you. Various Dynamight themed trinkets are littered at your feet, everything from keychains to can badges and exclusive cafe coasters.

He chuckles to himself while placing his boots in the closet by the door. “Go on another shoppin’ spree, sweets?”

You turn your head away bashfully, tapping your fingers against your thighs. “…yeah. Someone was selling a bunch of limited edition merch.”

Bakugo strolls into the living room and observes all the items on the floor. He leans down to leave a kiss on your cheek before turning to head for the bathroom to shower.

“Ya know I can get ya that shit for free, babe,” he calls over his shoulder. “I am Dynamight.”

“I know!” You answer, picking up one of the keychains and smiling. “Just being a supportive girlfriend is all.”

Okay, doodle request:

Reigen meeting Serizawa before Claw got to him. Maybe helping him start leaving his room?

I had a lot of fun with this one. I wanted it to parallel the scene of Serizawa meeting Suzuki, and so pages 6-8 are directly referenced from the manga (just in a flipped format so it reads left to right like the rest of the pages) and I also referenced some shots from the anime (like the final panel of page 10). For the dialogue in those middle pages, I referenced lines from the unofficial English translation of the manga, the official English translation of the manga, and the anime. (I was picking and choosing which lines I liked better). I also had fun with the colouring, which is something I love to do in comics especially. It starts out with Reigen in a muted, paler, desaturated palette with no highlights. But when he meets Mrs. Serizawa (I gave the name “Azumi” because it means something along the lines of “safe home/harbour”), she’s much more warmer and saturated and she has highlights. Once she starts explaining her son’s situation, that’s when Reigen has the variation of colour as well as the introduction of some small highlights. Then, the colour palette changes in every panel after that point. Serizawa is done with a grayscale palette, with the only colour on him being the bright light of the TV screen (reflecting video games as his only joy and his escape from reality). As Reigen talks to him, Reigen slowly start to lose some of that variety and saturation (AKA hope) he got from Mrs. Serizawa until he goes grayscale as well when he thinks that Serizawa might know he’s a fraud. He decides to switch up his approach and actually open up, which is what causes the variations in colour to return. Serizawa stops being grayscale in the panel where Reigen reveals that he too is lonely. (He’s a gray-blue palette, but it’s not true grayscale). The next page is in bright colours as Reigen opens up and doesn’t lie, which causes Serizawa to have bright colour as well, since now there is light and hope. In the page after that, Serizawa’s colour fades until he is grayscale again because it’s him not believing fully and still having doubts, while Reigen maintains that bright colour. (Also silly Falsettos reference on that page). I have Reigen’s colours shift from yellow until he reaches pink which is the colour I just have assigned as His Colour (since his tie is pink). Serizawa gains colour again and he shifts from that muted dark blue to finally orange (which is his colour) as he finally accepts Reigen’s help. The light from the TV is no longer coloured, and is just white, because Serizawa now has a new source of colour in his life (that being a real friend.) It ends with them being in their normal palettes at a normal happy saturation, contrasting the muted colours of the start of the comic. With the umbrella, I still wanted to include it and give it a role in the story, but in a different way from how Suzuki used it. While Suzuki used it to directly manipulate and control Serizawa, Reigen used it as a way to open up a choice for Serizawa to either let Reigen stay or make him leave. He asks Serizawa if he can sit and stay for a while since it’s raining outside and he didn’t bring an umbrella, despite clearly having done so. And then I ended the comic with a shot of the umbrella to emphasize that point.

Sorry for the long and probably unnecessary explanation. I just really love explaining my intentions and symbolisms in my art. Yeah I just had a good time over the last few days doing this :) I thought it was an interesting idea and I couldn’t think of a way to reflect it better than in a comic (which was also partially inspired by this wonderful Ageswap AU comic made by @fend13th about Reigen helping Serizawa)
