Headcanons: Dating Maison Talo Would Include

A/N: Yay, more House House! I love Maison a lot but unfortunately it's hard for me to come up with ideas to write for him. I don't know why, but it kinda bums me out. Never mind that tho, let's get to the headcanons!

🏠- Well this is...yep

🏠- Maison can't even remember the last person he genuinely loved or if he even had one, so this is gonna be interesting

🏠- First things first, he knows dating him is very unconventional, so he tries to make the relationship seem as normal as possible.

🏠- What I mean by this is he finds himself in his human form much more often than he's used to, and unless he has to eat, his house form doesn't degrade it's true shape

🏠- He'll also always let you know when he's about to feed so you have enough time to get outta dodge or stay away for a bit

🏠- He's got two phones now. One for "potential buyers" and one for you

🏠- He makes sure to send you a lil "I love you" text everyday

🏠- Although I should probably mention that he prefers calling you over texting, but he understands that calling you takes time and that texting is more convenient

I have so many thoughts about every member and their feelings towards returning to BTS that it verges on fanfic

JK - has emotional attachment to BTS but is very confident about going solo and wants to explore that. I sincerely doubt he'll sideline his solo career to stay with the group full-time especially since he's been deemed the chosen one by bsh and scooter and is well aware of it

Tae - I think he probably loves the relevance and money that comes with being a BTS member but I really don't think he likes the grind or keeping up with other members work ethic for practice and what not (isn't that the real crux of the infamous dumpling fight?). I bet he loved being super lazy and calling the shots during his solo career like no choreo (lol armys designated dance line member who hates dancing) and making time for travel and variety shows instead of working on and releasing a ton of songs. I can see him staying if they scale back stuff to cater to him

Jimin - he's got an emotional attachment to BTS as well and I think the him of 2021 would've been gung ho to be back in the group full-time but I think working on songs by himself and doing promo by himself - while it was hard and he's admitted it was hard and time consuming....I think he really loved it. He seemed to find the whole process creatively fulfilling - much more than his recent activities in BTS actually. Plus like Tae, I bet he liked finally being able to call the shots too. If they get back as BTS and he's sidelined again (which I unfortunately think he will be), I think he'll be reluctant to stay full time. Also feel his solo success has quietly made him more confident in himself and his capabilities even if he doesn't constantly toot his own horn like JK

RM - another guy who loves the relevance of being in BTS but finds everything about the experience of being a member stifling. If his solo career had gotten the traction of Jimin's or JK's, then he'd be out of BTS like yesterday. Pending that, I think he might actually put the group first. Being a BTS member got him to the world stage - that means something to him

JHope - he's so opaque to me. I really have no idea

Yoongi - definitely would continue the group full-time. I think he's someone who would've been able to continue his solo career with full steam even while being a group member full time and he probably finds it easier to make connections as a BTS member and would take full advantage of that

Jin - again I'm not very sure. I feel he'd be okay with either. I don't think he craves clout and just has a healthy appetite to be successful. I don't think he'd mind a smaller career as a solo artist but I also think he wouldn't mind continuing in BTS either. But he's also not properly done his solo album and it's associated promo yet and that definitely has an affect so we'd have to check back in six months

This is the healthiest fanfic I've ever seen. I completely agree with your assessment of each member.

Speaking of bordering on fanfic, sometimes I think part of the reason Jimin has been so adamant about staying together as a group is because he knows the others aren't as popular as he is and will struggle in their solo careers. Basically, he wants to stay together so the others don't fall short and feel humiliated. JHope and Jin come to mind, because neither have broad appeal.

Taehyung and Jungkook will never be as successful as Jimin, at least not on their own merits, but they both have a large enough following to carve out decent solo careers. Tae has seemed bored with being in BTS for quite some time. Go be an actor/influencers or whatever. I think Jungkook is really looking forward to going solo. I've never seen him happier than Left & Right, the World Cup, SEVEN/Golden videos and performances, but especially the Festa dinner where they announced their hiatus. He could hardly contain his excitement while the rest of the group looked like their dogs had just died.

RM? I swear he's ready to leave BTS, but you're right, he's attached to the fame. There's a real internal struggle going on in his brain. I hope he doesn't sing too much in his future endeavors. He's a great songwriter, though, so please continue in that direction. But for his own dignity, I need him to go solo, especially if more crap like Butter is on the horizon.

As for Yoongi, I have no idea. I don't get that guy at all.

"Some queerbaiting comments but I guess until he straight up says I'm gay, that'll unfortunately continue." Sadly, even if he was to say he is queer/bi/gay he'll still be accused of queerbaiting. Aside from the trolls, I think the only way the comments will lessen in time is if he was to settle down publicly with a man, get married, have kids etc but I don't see that happening soon as he's still performing heterosexuality and uses his pr relationships to sell music/movies. I do think they encourage the Bradrry rumors to a degree, like sharing clothes, Harry publicly turning up wherever Brad is etc. They're using the same tactics as with the beards. But the 'hand holding' thing blew up and I get a bad feeling that we'll get another Emily type stunt soon to quiet the fandom. I'm really curious how Harry will go about CO if he isn't with Louis anymore as that will lose him the support of Larries. They don't account for a huge part of his fandom but their content often goes viral on social media. They're vital to him, which is why promo is often aimed at them.

So I think we come from very different places. As I've said quite a lot - I don't think pop stars or their teams think of us the way we think about themselves.

The main point I want to make is how absurd the idea that Harry would have to settle down with a man get married and have kids for people to believe he's queer. How do you think queer communities understand relationships? What signifiers do you think people take as indicators as. Because it isn't settling down, getting married and having kids. That's some weird heteronormative bullshit

I think that the accusations of queerbaiting would stop if Harry made it clear he was fucking men. I don't think saying he was attracted to men, or made vague references that implied he had fucked men in the past would necessarily be enough. But if he made it clear he was fucking men (or a man) in the present or was very specific about fucking men (or a man) in the past then no-one is going to say 'but has he settled down'?

I am wondering what is in the future for the other 4. Harry is obviously set for life at this point, creatively and financially. A hard worker who went at it right from the get-go, and who has talent, work ethic, connections and creative interests enough to give him a great career.

Liam struggles, and I can see him being in and out of rehab for years to come. He has some talent. His little SA tour might give him a push and it might not. He gets in his own way but partly that’s his addictions and his odd brain chemistry. But with a dwindling audience he can’t hope to get very far without some major changes.

Niall will plod along. He’s a hard worker and he seems ok to work with, interested in music certainly. He’s not very interesting but he doesn’t seem that bad. I predict he’ll slow the music down and rely on his golf business. I think he’d enjoy that.

Zayn I can imagine will just carry on the same as now, maybe a couple more revelations about the band ending just to garner sympathy or attention. He’s obviously had talent and not nurtured it, and I wonder if he can turn that around. He’s so MOR in the genre he’s chosen that I can’t see him having much longevity to be honest.

Louis fascinates me, because he has the least talent by a long long way but by god he is screwing what he can out of it. But, how much are these attempts costing him, financially? His tours cannot be profitable, unless there’s some metric we can’t see (always possible). It costs money to make a documentary and if he covered those costs then great but he needs profit. With no talent and with the image he’s crafting for himself being so unattractive, he doesn’t really have a hope of progressing. I can imagine him doing one more album and then not touring it. I can’t imagine he’s cash rich at all and it takes investment to tour. Look at his outfits and stage set-up. That’s not a man who can afford to put on a show. He does seem to be caning it on tour and will that be a long-term drinking problem afterwards? Will he go quiet a bit, concentrate on helping to raise his son, and disappear? He seems too stubborn (unfortunately). But what else can he (afford to) do?

Agree that Louis is investing a lot of his own money into his projects and barely getting any return, particularly in the case of his documentary. He must have spent at least £3m on AOTV, thinking that a big streaming service like Netflix or Amazon would pay him a nice chunk to have it on their platform - but they know a vanity project by a has been when they see one, and they weren't interested. He tried to finance the Asian tour on his own too, but got cold feet and pulled out at the last minute.

The AFHF is unlikely to be the annual event he wants it to be because only a few thousand Louies buy tickets for it. He's really struggling to sell tickets this year. I think he'll bring out one more album and tour it in small venues, and after that he'll just have to admit defeat, unless he wants to go bankrupt.

Niall is probably sick of doing the utmost when it comes to promo - on every platform possible - and not receiving the recognition he thinks he deserves in terms of certificates and awards. He's already prioritising golf over music when it comes to planning his year.

Liam needs to stay away from the party scene if he's serious about his sobriety, but it's the only lifestyle he knows and his girlfriend loves it too. Kate romanticises alcohol and can't resist posting photos of artfully framed glasses of wine and champagne. He has no chance with a selfish partner like that.

Zayn has just released an earworm that could do well on the charts with some TLC, but he still won't leave his farm. His new label don't seem to have much influence over him. IG stories with chickens are cute but won't expose his new single to a wider audience like performing on a breakfast show would.

but it can't be done if everything around him keeps being confined into the fandom limits and If he's never showed to be part of the actual artists circles

in his case there's also the added fact that they've effectively built an aura around him through all the smear campaigns that has convinced people that being a fan of him is embarrassing and that he's an easy and encouraged target for criticism and snarky comments, ahah it's so funny to make fun of him and how he looks etc and his voice sucks ! (even if I've never actually heard him sing!) etc etc none of that is driven by reality it's all drive what people have been pushed to think about him by the media first and now by these social dynamics and he'll never get a real chance until that entire system of preconceptions has been dismantled and unfortunately no matter how much louis would like it, simply making good music and good shows isn't going to be enough to do it, you need to fix all the stupid pr/appearance shit too

Yeah unfortunately Zayn didn’t do well with this album or the last one. He also has an image issue to overcome. That DV incident with Y*londa really tarnished him, especially after being sent to anger management. There was also that incident with that Jake Paul character a bit ago then he kind of disappeared so there was no official repair from all of that. People didn’t forget. Though I think his team has done a good job recently with the interviews and bringing up his daughter each time he speaks publicly so I think it’s eventually going to overshadow what happened. I’m a casual listener of his because I’m an ot5 but I have diehard fans of Zayn that left his fandom because of all that and haven’t returned.

I think Zayn's solo career started out excellent, but his personality, his addiction struggles and not touring makes it hard to keep people's attention on you if your not often in public. 2022 Asia tour?

Alright, so.

a) the 2020 asia tour got cancelled in May 2021, before it could go on to its planned Taiwan leg

b) the international tour is set to resume in May 2022, in Zurich

but

c) a whole bunch of former cast members headed for Taiwan today (7–8 January), saying things like 'see you again in March', and there are performance dates listed on Taiwanese ticketing websites through February and March.

This looks like a return of the Asia tour, rather than an early leg of the international tour. There's still nothing on the official Cats website, but the promo materal includes photos from the 2017 and 2020 Asia tours, it's run by GWB Entertainment (who did the Asia tours), and seems to be offering replacement dates for people who had tickets to the failed 2021 tour.

I'll be tagging any updates as '2022 asia tour', but considering it as effectively 'season 2' of the 2020 tour.

Currently suspected/confirmed cast below the cut! If you want the updates, track the post: I'll comment as I find things out or notice possibilities, as well as editing them into the post.

Leading the company: Dane Quixall, hoorah! Dane has been resident director and superswing with the international tour for years - in fact, his presence is the one thing that makes it look more like the international tour than the Asia tour, but otoh he said something about it being a 'different company' this time... Before that he was in the UK tour of 2013, and the German tent tour of 2010–13. He has always been a swing and usually a member of the creative team too, so he'll presumably be the same this time.

Returning from the 2020 Asia tour:

Rafe Watts - was Munkustrap, will presumably be Munkustrap this time too. Xavier Pellin - ditto for Mistoffelees Tyler Lotzof - ditto Victoria Alice Batt - ditto Jellylorum Hayden Baum - ditto Skimbleshanks Ellie Nunan - ditto Jennyanydots George Hankers - ditto Mungojerrie Dominique Hamilton - ditto Rumpelteazer Taylor Scanlan - ditto George / onstage swing Anina Plescher - ditto Electra / onstage swing Emily Casey - officially cast as Tantomile, she ended up covering Cassandra for almost half the performances due to first-cast Cass' unfortunate injuries, so she might be playing either here Caitlin New - was a swing covering Bomba, Jenny, Tanto/Cori, and Griz. Probably the same again, unless she's been promoted to first cast for one of those roles Kade Hughes - was Bill Bailey (cover Carbuckety) and will probably be that again, but, since Mukeni's in the cast too (who has never covered Carbuckety to my knowledge) Kade might be Carbuckety this time around.

Will Richardson - cast as Tugger, has formerly played that role in the 2017 Asia tour and in the Oasis production, will presumably be Tugger this time. Ashlee Hammerin - cast as Demeter; formerly a swing in the 2017 Asia tour, covering Demeter, Bomba, Tantomile, and Rumpelteazer. Will presumably be Demeter. Amy Everett - cast as Jemima, played Sillabub previously on the Oasis cruise.

Other productions:

Benjamin Mundy! A surprise, since it's a few years since he was in the show. He was Coricopat in London in 2014 (so this will be the first time he's performed with a non-rap Tugger 🤭). Given he covered Tugger too, he'll probably be an ensemble male role like Alonzo, Cori, or Plato/Admetus, while covering those roles and maybe Munk or Tugger; or he'll be a male swing. Mukeni Nel - yaaaas, our beautiful Mukeni from the 2019 international tour returns to the show! Either in his former role as Bill Bailey/Tumblebrutus, or moving to Carbuckety/Pouncival. Either way, he'll presumably still cover Mistoffelees. Emily Langham - Rumpelteazer in the 2016 UK/International tour, and cover Jellylorum - swing or creative? We have Alice Batt and Dominique Hamilton who I assume will be reprising their roles as Jelly and Teazer, so we'll see what Emily's doing. Carly Miles - Jemima (cover Victoria) in the 2017 Asia tour - again, we already have a Jemima and a Victoria so we'll have to wait and see what role(s) she'll be taking this time.

Possibly:

Brad Little and Kerry Ellis as Deuteronomy and Grizabella: one Taiwanese site lists them, but it might just be going by last year's info. (Brad was Deut throughout the 2020 Asia tour and would have continued into Taiwan, Kerry was meant to join the cast in Taiwan.) Kerry's insta doesn't look like she's going anywhere just yet, but it's possible that a star Grizabella could join the cast later in the rehearsal period. Stevie Hutchinson - Pouncival in the London revival - is travelling somewhere but, again, we know no more than that yet. Turns out it was Miami!

That's still only half the cast, though. The Asia tour had a cast of 24 onstage plus 5 swings, and the International tour has 22 (no Electra or George) plus usually 8 swings. So we'll see what we find out in the next few days!

Cast members whom we know not to be returning include Fletcher Dobinson (busy in London in Moulin Rouge), Jal Joshua (busy in Bring It On), Thomas Inge and his boyfriend Lloyd Davies (source: I asked Thomas), Suzie Melloy (heavily pregnant!), and, sadly for Tyler, her boyfriend Dan Partridge (he has booked himself a spontaneous trip to Sri Lanka now that she's left him all alone!). Cian Hughes and Harry Francis (Carbuckety and Mistoffelees in the 2019 international tour) are also not coming: they've commented things like 'goodbye, see you in a few months' in response to cast member announcements.

Hey Emma. I feel a little bit like a shitty fan and I know the album isn't out yet but I feel pretty disappointed in this new era. If we can even call it 'new' tbh. The growth of Louis' fanbase and engagement over the last couple years made me so so excited for how the LT2 era would be approached and handled and it's been a let down. I feel like Louis and his team had such an amazing opportunity to knock things out of the park and they've squandered it. Part 1.

What I personally find exciting when it comes to artists is their new distinct eras with each new album. New style, new aesthetic, new vibes etc. But it really feels like this is just walls 2.0, down to the promo and everything. It sucks because I know the music is going to be incredible and will probably be my favourite album but it's not getting the treatment it deserves. I know I sound like a hater but it's just because I see so much potential in Louis. Part 2.

And I wish he and his team would make different choices sometimes. I don't know if he'll ever have this opportunity again in terms of a 'come back' and it's just disappointing to see how things are playing out. Louis mentioned in one interview that he'd like to keep touring for 10 years and I worry how feasible that will be if he doesn't do anything to expand his fanbase to the gp. Anyway sorry for the rant but I thought you might understand where I'm coming from. End.

You’re not alone in feeling this way! I think it’s been really frustrating for a lot of us that were hopeful for better things to see so much of the same. There’s still not enough focus on Louis’ accomplishments and talent, there’s still too much focus on One Direction and Louis being a former member (despite the fact that his solo career has now lasted longer than the band did), there’s still too much focus on his “personal” life (I say with air quotes), there’s still too much focus on existing fans through listening parties and LTHQ post (with their much smaller audience compared to Louis’ accounts) rather than expanding the fanbase, there’s still not enough promo in the markets that really need it, there’s still not the radio push that Louis needs to really succeed commercially, and there’s still a lack of basic human decency and respect even from interviewers.

I honestly think there are few things more painful as a fan than to watch someone with so much talent not be able to reach their full potential. And part of it is on Louis’ team, part of it is on the media and music industry that has intentionally suppressed Louis’ success over the years and continues to do so to this day (just look at that BBC article), but part of it is also on Louis because while he clearly recognizes that he’s been sabotaged and isn’t being given a fair shot, I also think that he’s too loyal to his team (many of whom continue to be incompetent) and he’s not willing enough to step outside of his comfort zone to make the changes that seriously need to happen for anything to improve.

As fans, there’s not much we can do besides to support him and @ them to try to help where we can, but ultimately, we don’t have the power. If Louis and his team want him to be successful, they have to figure out how to do that and start taking those steps. And unfortunately, if they continue on their current path, which we’ve largely walked before, that’s not going to happen.

Lately, there's much weird energy going on regarding jm related things. Since his OST something or the other is happening, the whole insurance bill followed by company sayin "no comments" but they were backing up that bully girl and also billboard didn't posted any article on his proof video but they posted all the other members till now (surprisingly I haven't seen BTS is 7 trend yet lol) Even him in that Spotify video just sitting without much enthusiasm like he always had is all making me feel like is everything okay??! Also I'm new to this all hate/negative discourse on a celeb (haven't been in any fandom except bts) so it's bit weird to see a particular member getting hate for whatever he is doing. It has certainly been nonstop. The change in the time release for the OST was very random, didn't and still doesn't make sense why would they do that. Everyone else released their Our Blues OSTs at 6pm. It has been a while but so it doesn't sound like the time is something crazy to care about, and in case it hasn't been made obvious by how, days after, Psy released his album at 6pm and not 11pm LMAO, I saw this explanation by traceofjimin.

And they said the time release was discussed and decided on by the artist's agency (or agencies). They know how it works and they still decided to do it. BTS used to release their stuff at 6pm kst too, it changed to accommodate USA time of release but it was 6pm until ON.

Aside from that, I really think the insurance bill and filter issues were done by akgaes. Hybe/bighit has never exactly handled any "scandal" BTS were involved in, probably the tattoo shop thing was the most they gave statements on or said they would do anything about. But usually it's just one single "we deny this" and they move on. So I'm not surprised and I don't think it's weird that they disregarded the bill issue so quickly. And also, to be honest, I don't know what else was there to say. I genuinely think the articles and the way it was dragged out was an akgae thing. Same with the filter credits for that man. Whether his personal info was leaked because someone from the company was "careless" when managing his documents (that's a very sarcastic careless), there's no way to know that. If it was leaked or sold by people that work close to him, I hope Jimin is aware and is handling it.

It also all just piled up over the already existing and recent enlistment controversy, so it's possible that media are just taking advantage of it, you know the saying "when it rains it pours".

Now, the billboard articles........................ It's fishy af. I don't know who's deciding that and if it's hybe, I don't know why would they want to alienate Jimin from album conversation like that but it definitely looks like a conscious choice to not do an article about him. It was deliberate.

About the hate, yeah.. kpop is like that, unfortunately. It definitely does not happen this often or this seriously when it comes to western celebrities. You can google "kpop anti-fans" "kpop anti-fans incidents" and you'll see for yourself. It's crazy. It's an industry and fan culture that for some reason or another has always begotten a lot of hate.

As for Jimin, I think he was like that for most of 2021, sadly. I mean, he was quiet and seemingly uninterested for a lot of their interviews, especially during butter promo. And last year he actually said on few ocassions that he wasn't feeling that happy or excited, it wasn't anything alarming but he did subtly mentioned being too lost in his thoughts and things like that. He's probably got a lot on his plate, honestly. I guess we should just wait and see; he's a person like anyone else and being under the weather sometimes it's completely normal, but it's also not too logical for us to make conclusions based on one or two clips, imo. I would like to know what he really, really, really thinks of this album tho.

Before, the times that anything controversial happened, there was always positive, good BTS content to push that negativity back or even completely ignore it; now, there's nothing like that and even the album-related content released so far is honestly nawtttt making a lot of noise so it's easy to get carried away with the negative stuff.

Hello it's me, Namic anon. Concept: after what everyone thinks is going to be a permanent face turn, Namic has a trios match with a face (not sure who yet) where Kett, the younger brother, gets seriously injured because the face botches a spot. The next week, Mickey, the oldest brother, cuts a viscous promo on the face and demands the face come out so they can "look me in the eyes and tell me how damn sorry y'are." When the face comes out, I attack them from behind, and we're back to heels. We feud with the face for a few weeks and the anger slowly wears off and is revealed more as frustration with the face being careless, and eventually everything is made up and Namic is back to tweener status. Kett comes back to great fanfare and Namic challenges for tag titles that night. Unfortunately, Kett gets hurt again (not on a botch, just bad luck) and the match has to be called. Because the match was a fluke and the next show is his hometown show, Mickey gets to challenge for the titles again in a ladder match (like the title unification between Sammy/Cody, whoever grabs both titles wins), he can choose who to tag with. He says he'll never tag with anyone but his brother and makes it a handicap match (plenty of interference with me at ringside tho 👉👈). He wins out in the end and Kett comes down the ramp to congratulate him, and Mickey hands him his title. Brotherly hug (bonus, because it's a hometown show, baby brother Sean is there and they jump into the audience to get him in on the love too - he's the reason they do this after all!). Solid face turn after that, they couldn't make us heels if they wanted, we're too over.

That almost made me cry! Mickey winning the titles in the handicap match and then the brothers hugging is so freaking pure! That was so beautiful.

CM Punk is staring tonight off and my goodness, it feels like it's been a while since we last saw him even though he was literally here last week. I think it's because he doesn't usually go without cutting a promo and he hasn't had a major one since before Revolution. The Acclaimed are, as predicted, dropping Will Smith references before it's been 5 minutes of the night, but that's okay. Apparently JR was waiting for the same thing. Punk's up against Max Caster, and they're playing the arm game tonight, working each others' shoulders. It takes a little time for Caster to start turning the tables, but he does when he catches Punk mid-air and hits him with a rib breaker. Every bump after seems to be stripping years from Punk's life. But Caster gets cocky and Punk gets back into his groove. The advantage keeps slowly slipping between the two until Punk gets him with a piledriver that JR mistakenly calls a tombstone and makes him tap with the anaconda vice. Schiavone comes out to the ring and asks Punk what his mimed belt signal meant last week. He says he knows that 3 things will happen before his time in AEW is up: he'll have more gray in his beard, more scars in his head and he'll be world champion.

MJF is backstage and says Wardlow's name will no longer be spoken, that he doesn't exist. He starts listing FTR's future matches as easy wins. FTR (wearing NWO-themed gear) protests Max's Anti-Wardlow stance and says they're his friends, regardless of what Max says. He informs them Wardlow used to talk shit about them behind their backs. Behind them, Smart Mark is putting up posters that say Wardlow is banned from all AEW events.

Jay Lethal and Mox enter the ring and begin their match with Mox smacking away Lethal's offered handshake. It's a very grapply match and every time Lethal tries to lock Mox in a hold, Mox kicks him off and away. Mox eventually gets him on top of the turnbuckle and Lethal shoves him off, making him land nuts-first on the top rope. After the commercials, they're both on the floor and the ref is counting them up. They get up at 6 and try for a cross-body at the same moment. They're in perfect sync, which is a hazard for them. Mox lands an incredible forearm that fucked up his knee a little too much that almost messes him up later in the match. After a couple nearfalls and a failed figure four, Mox eventually gets the pin. After the match, Mox and Lethal do shake hands.

Next up is FTR up against the Ass Boys Gunn Club. I don't know if this theme is new or not, but I like it. Unfortunately, it's interrupted by MJF strolling out and joining commentary and Schiavone looks like he wants to commit atrocities. The audience is happily chanting 'Ass Boys', but the Gunn boys don't seem bothered. They're selling arm drags and faceplants like champs. The tables don't turn until Billy hits Cash with a haymaker outside the ring and does the DX crotch chop and yells "Suck it, bitch", which I found delightful. After the commercial break, I noticed Gunn Club's tights look awfully Lisa Franky and I feel like that should be a more common theme in wrestler tights. After a couple of nearfalls, the camera cuts to the entrance and Wardlow comes into the arena and points to the commentary desk after knocking down every security guard. He's on a motherfucking mission. The match pretty much stops as Wardlow's dragged away by 15-20 guards, but resumes with a ton of distractions from Billy and the illegal men as Dax gets the pin and win. MJF comes out to the ring and tries to celebrate with them, but FTR is pissed at Max's treatment of Wardlow.

Chris Jericho and his Appreciation Society is backstage and Chris is looking as purple and tasty as ever. They're so anti-pro wrestler and assure everyone that there's only ever gonna be 5 members. They start joking about how Santana, Ortiz and Eddie Kingston have been beat to hell and will never return. They "take a peek" to the left, then to the right, where the three are standing and Eddie beats Chris out to the ring, biting him a lot more than is socially polite. It's a total street fight. The JAS is beaten down one by one with fists, feets and chairs. Jake Hager is the only saving grace who can possibly turn the tables. Eddie gets locked into a sharpshooter and Jericho starts beating him with a baseball bat. They strip his sweater off and Jericho starts whipping him with his belt.

Jade Cargill is prepping for her 30th victory and Smart Mark offers Leva Bates as her opponent, who is properly dismissed. So she picks option 2, Marina Schaffir.

Bryan Danielson and William Regal come out and take to the ring and the commentary table respectively. Wheeler Yuta takes the opposite side and this is feeling incredibly like an audition for the Blackpool Combat Club. Regal literally requests to be stopped if he starts gushing over Bryan too much. Yuta is keeping one of the most impressive bridges I've ever seen through Bryan's knee strikes and the two of them are fighting with a clear amount of respect. They're grappling and striking and holding and I know this match likely won't be a historical greatest, but this is the kind of match that should be studied in wrestling schools. According to Regal, Yuta could easily be the next Bryan, and I don't think I can disagree. The intricate mix of strikes and creative holds get him so damn close to a win. Bryan's ready to get a hold, but Yuta hits him in the face with a massive lugie. Bryan's then on the warpath and beats him full to hell and makes him submit.

The all-too-smug belt thieves Adam Cole and ReDragon stroll out with their stolen championship and tag team belts. There's a box in the corner of the ring marked 'Party Supplies', that, when opened, lets a few gold helium balloons fly out. Cole announces this as the championship party. The belts all have tape with their names on them, and you can't steal what's yours. Then Hangman rolls out (literally) in his longhorn car and begins beating on the three of them hard. In the UDE's haste to run, they leave the belts behind and try to escape, but are intercepted by Jurassic Express, who start giving them what they've asked for. All three men reclaim their belts easily

Schiavone introduces Thunder Rosa, who he looks so proud of. She announces that as happy as she is to be the face of the division, she wants to be the face of women's wrestling and won't just be a pillar, but a foundation.

The Bunny comes out for her match against a secret opponent as the first qualifying match for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and it is a very happy, very tough looking Toni Storm. These two are absolutely malicious. Almost evil looking. And beating the ever-loving piss out of each other. This is what women's wrestling should be. Can't be argued to be too bloody or catty or filled with cheap shots. Just solid fucking wrestling that ends with a gorgeous pin by Toni (who I'm shocked they didn't rename).

Andrade El Idolo comes out wearing a mask and the world's weirdest suit and the excitement for him is promptly overshadowed by Darby Allin coming out with Sting. Except Sting walks out five steps and then leaves as Darby skates down and gets flattened by a splash. He's getting tossed against and onto every surface before the match has even started. He gets Andrade back when Darby hits him against the stairs and then jumps onto his back with his skateboard. Eventually, even though he can't stand, Darby climbs into the ring and the ref says he can just walk away, just leave, but Darby tells him to ring the bell and start the match. He looks at least 2/3 dead and hasn't been able to stand up on his own for any longer than a few seconds. The first sign of him not being broken in half is him pulling a Code Red after commercials. If it weren't for the bursts of energy, Darby would look very much like he's napping. Andrade tries to use his belt as a weapon, but the ref confiscates it, letting Darby slam him into the corner. He gets Andrade into the Fujiwar armbar, and Jose The Assistant comes out to help, whom Sting intercepts, then Butcher and Blade comes out. Darby dives into all three of them to save Sting and after a little more beating, Andrade gets the unfortunate, but not unexpected, pin. Sting climbs into the ring and takes Darby's pulse, smacking him a little, but he's not waking up. The opponents all gang up on Sting and Private Party comes out, making it 6 on 2. To even the odds, the Hardys come out with chairs and a table happened somewhere, but I have no idea where. Matt hits a twist of fate and Jeff gets a pristine Swanton Bomb that seems to really hurt his ribs.

do you think he's honest when he says that music is the most important thing in his life and it's what he wants to do? I am divided between believe him and not believe him and thinkiing he just says this during the concert to keep the fans there

Oh no, I have no doubt in my heart he means it. He might've broadened his spectrum and garnered a skill here and there in other areas of the entertainment industry but I think music is always what he'll come back to. He loves it so much and it's very very clear to me that this is what gets him going the most. He may enjoy acting here and there, he may have other businesses (after all, he's thankfully smart with his money and knows where to invest) but he's a music scholar through and through. It's his passion and what he wants to do. I don't think it's a line to keep fans - he really means it.

But I think there's something that needs to be said that a lot of people don't say is that, this is, after all, his PASSION but also his JOB. He has to deal with and do things that aren't palatable to a lot of fans because unfortunately, when he was very young and naive, he made it seem he was 'above it all' when it came to the standards of the entertainment industry (such as interviews, PR, etc). But he isn't and even if he doesn't like it - like pap walks and talk shows and that whole schtick - he still has to do it.

It's a business and all of this is part of the business but people have a hard time remembering that, so it garners so much backlash for him. And part of it is his own fault, but part of it is also the fandom's, because they've put him in such an unreachable pedestal that whenever he does anything within his obligations as an artist / musician / actor / public persona, they get furious at him. They can't help but be disappointed because they thought he 'didn't need this' or 'he's above this' but... he isn't. He's just like every other musician, that needs to do promo and interviews and tours to get money, cause that's how they make theirs lol

But bottom line is, as my friend @permanentcross says: gun to his head, he’d always choose music.

I agree that Niall needs to move forward with how he sees promo and things have changed fast. But you're right, I'm sure his team and label have discussed it. He's said in the past he's told his label, he'll go wherever they send him. So he's not just making up his promo as he goes along. They book him for all his stuff, that's the whole point.

yeah, i feel like they are taking everything into consideration, especially with all that is going on and what happened with HBW release. unfortunately niall cant just ~drop music and have it fly off the shelves. he needs promo and to perform. its just how it is. his team/label knows this.
