Psalm 40 (NKJV)
I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.
Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered.
Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”
I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly; Indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O Lord, You Yourself know. I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly.
Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord; Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. For innumerable evils have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; They are more than the hairs of my head; Therefore my heart fails me.
Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me! Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion Who seek to destroy my life; Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor Who wish me evil. Let them be confounded because of their shame, Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”
Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually, “The Lord be magnified!” But I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God.

In Touch Bible Study Notes “To Wait Is To Wait”
“It’s likely we’ve all had the difficult experience of praying for something and wondering how long God would take to respond. We express our desire, pray sincerely, and sometimes get impatient when we don’t get our answer. We might even begin to create a backup plan if it seems He’s taking too long to come through.”
Learning to wait patiently on God is an acquired skill, and it’s essential, too. The “Hebrew word qawa, is repeated, which gives the verse a literal sense of “to wait, I waited on the Lord.” That repetition also lets us know the writer 📝 is stating something important. David recognized that patient stillness helped his faith to grow-a truth he emphasized by writing ✍️ it twice.”
We are to pray, persevering as we anticipate God’s answer. “If, while waiting, we look to God for wisdom and direction, we will begin to see His work in our life and recognize His goodness. Not only does waiting patiently express our trust in and reliance on God, it also helps us develop greater faith.”
My thoughts on this study are follows:
God knows our lives better than we do. He sees the bigger picture while we can only see this moment. So it’s natural that we would trust in Him for our lives. When we pray, the request may not be answered anytime soon or when we expect it to, but will be answered in God’s time. We shouldn’t cease praying or believing though, just because things aren’t going right or the way we think they should. We should pray anyway, trusting God, to know that He is listening. We should be grateful, thankful and patient. God loves us, and desires to hear us talking to Him, telling Him about our day, asking and praising, worshiping, being present with Him. He wants that relationship with us, but we must go through His Son, Jesus Christ, so that we can have that life altering experience to know them both. When we don’t know to pray, then the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf, for the words that we can’t say, and we are still connected to the Lord in prayer. May you be blessed as you read these words today.
Verses read:
Psalm 40:1-3
“I waited patiently for the LORD; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in the LORD.”
Psalm 40:1-3 KJV
Romans 5:3-5
“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
Romans 5:3-5 KJV

WWE Smackdown 4/19 - Howdy Teasers
Zoom into the top of the head and you get "I'm Nobody". The name of the image in the source code is "Nobody".
Click the "I'm Nobody" and you end up here: https://wwe.com/sol_rutilo with more about The Allegory of the Cave.
Sol Rutilo is latin for "The Sun is Shining".
The title of the image itself is "Liberandum" which is latin for "To Be Delivered", referencing to be freed, to free, freedom, etc.
In the video on this new page, the coordinates "45.7455N, 14.4674E" appear. This leads to "Krizna Jama".... Cross Cave (sometimes called "Kross Cave"). Possible reference to Karrion Kross joining the family?
The Miry Clay reference is to Psalms 40:1-2 “I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps”
From here, we can deduce that the reference is to David being in an impossibly dark situation before being rescued after calling out to the lord. Uncle Howdy as the deliverer?
In the source code of the second site, "Thank you ArtificialEllis, the world needs to know". Assuming this is referencing a Reddit user who posted last week's QR. That's the only reference of ArtificialEllis I can find.

Psalms chapter 40
1 (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

`He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
Psalms 40:2 KJV
We often find ourselves mired in daily struggles. We become bogged down with anxiety, stress and depression. We feel as though we are sinking deeper into a dark pit and find it difficult to get out. God is our redeemer! When we call upon Him, He comes to our rescue by lifting our burdens, placing our feet back on track and nudging us to walk in the right direction.
Oh God, you are our refuge in times of darkness. We are thankful for your faithfulness and desire to love us unconditionally. In Jesus' Name, Amen. ★

Blog Post 6: These are a few of my favorite things.
Blog Post 6: These are a few of my favorite things.
This is my second go around here at Clayton State. Three years after high school I graduated with my associates degree in Music and went on to Clayton State University. I changed my major to Communications and Media studies, but never finished. I got married, and we had two beautiful boys, but then, years later, I was reminded of something I desired from long ago. So, I went back to school with the Lord reminding me that He would be with me and He would help me complete this bachelor's degree. So here I am now.
The first time around in college I didn’t do my best. I was distracted by fun and friends, and I missed the joy of learning all I could in that season. This time I vowed to do it differently. I decided to give each and every class and assignment my very best. I wouldn’t just pass through; I would do it well. I would study and learn all I could with great intentionality. I can tell you this, I have enjoyed every second of studying literature and taken something meaningful from every class thus far, and I intend to continue in this manner.
So, looking back it is clear I have matured tremendously. And though I haven’t arrived I am pressing towards the goal to finish and complete my bachelor’s here and then after this to finish my Master’s Degree in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. I am a avid learner, and I guess this explains my love for teaching. It is my opinion that the best teachers are lifelong learners. I am a teacher at a small but thriving Christian Academy. I teach music, and though the pay is meager the joy I have in teaching these little ones about God, my first love, and music, a strong third love right behind my family, it is my great honor and privilege.
I wasn’t always zealous for the Lord Jesus Christ, though I did love Him in the way that I knew how, which was mostly religious practices without any revelation of the relationship aspect of knowing God; it wasn’t a thriving relationship. After I battled with postpartum depression, I found the Lord in a new way, and I felt His close and tangible presence that transformed my life. I will never turn back to Sunday morning Christianity. It is dull and not what God intended for the human soul. Now I write Christian devotionals and have a ministry devoted to encouraging and equipping the Saints to be light in darkness. My life was changed forever by Jesus- not religion, and I will never again be the same.
I am Puerto Rican, and have a love for good food, family fun, and the beach any time I can get there. As a family we love to hike, camp, and play music together. I sing and play guitar, and my husband as well as our sons play the drums. Music is important to us. I am learning to find great contentment in the mundane times by looking at this life as an opportunity and not a burden. To me living life fully means enjoying every single moment and learning from the hardships without staying stuck in the struggle. My heart is set on living every day for the glory of God alone, which you see written in Latin as Soli Deo Gloria. My life isn’t perfect by any means but it is good because I believe in a good God who works all things together for my good and His glory.
I found hope in the cross of Jesus Christ. He renewed and restored me by pulling me out of the pit, setting my feet on a rock, and by putting a new song of praise in my mouth. Now I am overwhelmingly grateful to be alive, and thankful to be where I am; here, writing to you. I know that not everyone shares the same beliefs as me, but I do believe there is great beauty in each person’s story, and I feel there is great power in sharing it. In relation to my story, here are the bible verses I claim:
Psalms 40:2-3
He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear and will trust in the LORD.
May your life be filled with great joy and peace as you go forward in accomplishing these many goals to better yourself and your future generations. I am cheering for you.

In Touch Bible Study Notes "More Than Pausing" 06/19/2024
"Have you ever wondered how to wait? How do we actually accomplish this, waiting patiently on the Lord? We need to be active while we wait, not just twiddle our thumbs until we recognize God's work. And how can we best emulate the "man after God's own heart"? It may seem counterintuitive, but waiting often involves action. The pause sometimes feels quite long, especially if you're waiting for an answer before moving forward. But there are things both we and the Lord can actively accomplish in the interim. For our part, we should talk to God through prayer about our concerns, dreams, and desires. In the stillness and tension of waiting, we must also read His Word diligently to learn more about His character and love. While we seek the answers, care, and encouragement we need from Him, we develop patience and grow as our faith is strengthened and stretched. During this time of actively waiting, we begin to see what God does. Like David, we will be lifted from a pit, given a firm place to stand, and receive a new song to sing. Waiting is so much more than merely pausing-it allows us to experience God in a deeper and more personal way."
My thoughts on this study are as follows:
~When we are waiting on God to answer our prayers, He doesn't expect us to be dormant and still. We should still be striving to move forward, taking action to support our prayers. We shouldn't just be waiting around for Him to fix everything. We have free will, don't we? We can make good decisions, and even endure our circumstances, but that never means we stop actively living, and we especially don't stop believing in God and His plan for our lives. He loves us, and knows us each by name. He knows our heart, and wants us to be in a relationship with Him. God knew we'd need a Savior, to save us from our sin. He designed a perfect plan, for Jesus to come to this Earth, to be born as a child, to grow into a man, and to die a sinless death, and to be resurrected from that death, as our risen Savior. That's something we could never do on our own. We are covered by the blood of the Lamb. One day, He's coming back, to take His people home to Heaven. Which side will you be on when that day comes?~
Verses read:
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
James 1:2-4 KJV
“But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.”
1 Samuel 13:14 KJV
“He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in the LORD.”
