now even though stiles is meow meow cutiepie, he is also a very cunning, complex character with a lot of layers and issues. now these characters were all his friends first and i sort of think that he did know about the crushes

my babe is a romantic at heart and even though a relationship is quite enticing to a teenager, he never, ever like took advantage of it or gave them any hope because a) he values friendships a lot and he is not going to lose a friend over some silly crush and 2) he wants the kind of love his parents had, the all consuming, deeply loyal, crazy for each other love

My first impression of them

C: Providing clear protection/support to Boyd while clearly unwell herself? I love.

M: Incredibly intrigued! Malia being introduced as a girl who has been a full shift coyote for years after suffering major trauma was so interesting and I was smitten.

2. When I think I truly started to like them (or dislike them, if you’ve sent me a character I don’t like)

C: Probably 3x04 when she was angry and wanted revenge and violence on the Alpha pack (no matter how unlikely it would be) and realized her brother had changed in ways she didn't want.

M: When she decked Stiles. I was worried they wouldn't continue her story, but when she hears him, sees his face, and punches him, I couldn't help but love her.

13. Your favorite friendship they have

C: Boyd, short that we got to experience it

M: Kira! I'm not big on them as a romantic or sexual ship, but as friends I adore their differences and learning from one another.

16. A childhood headcanon

C: She rebelled against Laura, the older sister, and instead wanted to be just like her big brother Derek.

M: She received a Bop It toy for her birthday one year and swiftly broke it in frustration.

18. How do you think they were as a kid? (Like, were they shy, noisy, wild, etc)

C: I do sort of see her as a quieter kid, though far from shy. Laura was always with Talia training, while Peter took Derek under his wing. That left Cora to trail around and easily prank her siblings while not getting in trouble because she was quiet enough for her parents to not blame.

M: Playful, and fiercely protective of her sister. If Kylie even scraped her knee, Malia was intent on making it better.

21. When do you think they were at their happiest?

C: Getting to leave Beacon Hills after reuniting with Derek (and Peter) in 3a. She never really felt like it was her home, even if she was a Hale. I like to think she enjoys traveling and visiting packs around the world.

M: This one is hard! In all honesty, I like to think she found happiness in keeping contact with friends after the movie and pursuing what she was interested in instead of feeling like a constant pawn in somebody's relationship or plan. Maybe she travels the world with her cousin!

22. When do you think they were at their lowest?

C: When Peter informed her about Derek. She's gotten used to losing people, used to not growing close to anyone long enough to make a difference. But when it's her brother, the boy she used to get into messes with as a child, she goes off grid for longer than anyone expects.

M: Her visit to Canaan. Already she's coping with the loss of something critical (the memory of Stiles, her anchor) as well as juggling her increased power from her mother, but then she starts seeing visions of her dead family. Of the sister she couldn't save from Corinne.

24. What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone?

C: A couple of the people who died in the Hale fire were only there because she was hiding in the woods as a game and they'd gone in trying to find her.

M: She's kept something significant from everyone important to her. Flannels of Stiles, the hilt of Kira's broken sword, a couple of Scott's t-shirts she's cut into crop tops, Lydia's nail polish. She keeps talismans like she kept Kylie's doll.

27. If they could meet a character from another show/movie/etc, who would be the most fun for them to meet?

I only just started it, but maybe someone from Yellowjackets, a contrast of different versions of survival.

28. The most unnecessary thing they ever did?

Honestly I'm struggling to think of something. Nobody does everything out of necessity, but most unnecessary is throwing me off.

if  you  weren’t  so  weak,  whispers  allison. if  you  realized  i  was  one  of  the  good  guys,  shouts  aiden.  if  you  figured  it  out  quickly  enough,  screams  tracy.

another  scream.  louder  this  time,  capable  of  obliterating  everything  in  her  path.  arms  curl  around  her  body,  protecting  her  from  the  sheer  magnitude  of  her  voice.  

(  a  sweet  little  redhead  wanders  into  the  room,  her  pretty  shoes  tap-tap-tapping  on  the  cold,  cement  floor.  so  warm  and  vibrant,  the  brightest  part  of  her  darkened  world.  little  lydia  isn’t  supposed  to  be  here,  and  yet  lorraine  isn’t  surprised.  of  course she  came.  of  course  she’s  witnessing  this.  )

the  jeep.  they’re  in  the  jeep.  he’s  holding  her  close  and  vowing  she’ll  be  okay  ———-  but  will  he?

(  it  wasn’t  supposed  to  be  like  this.  if  it  hadn’t  been  for  valack,  if  it  hadn’t  been  for  experiments  gone  wrong  and  vows  to  somehow  fix  what  the  supernatural  broke,  she  could  have  done  more.  helped  more  people.  cultivated  her  powers  in  ways  no  one  would  have  expected.  but  there’s  a  hole  in  her  head  and  the  world  is  slipping  away  and  she  knows  —–  she  knows  this  is  her  granddaughter’s  future.  )

it’s  an  endless  cycle  of  screams.  they  tear  through  her  throat  no  matter  how  hard  she  tries  to  swallow  them  back  down.   go,  stiles.  don’t  die  so  i  can  live. the  jeep  stops  ——-  deaton?  the  clinic?  oh  god,  the  pain.

(  eyes  close.  breathing  stops.  darkness  threatens  to  consume.  )

it  does  consume  her.  she’s  gone.  she  isn’t  breathing.  stiles  frantically  calls  out  to  her,  fingertips  brushing  across  her  skin. he’s  trying.  she’s trying.  but  it’s  too  much  —–  the  darkness  is  too  much.  the  screaming  is  too  much.

° First and foremost, can I just illustrate how supportive af this boy would be? Isaac may not be into plays or musicals as such, but if it’s something you enjoy doing or are passionate about... then he’s here for it!

° No matter what part you play, Isaac thinks it’s amazing. You could legit be a tree in the backdrop and he’d hype you up about it. Boii is just too precious ffs.

Millie headcanons!!

- I see her as having more of a gothic lolita/almost Victorian gothic style tbh? Basically she dresses like Lydia Deetz in Beetlejuice. However I love throwing in more mall goth aspects too. Fancy black dress, messy looking makeup, demonia boots, Victorian mourning jewellery, and spiked choker & bracelets kinda thing you get me?

- Bullied kid with comorbid probably undiagnosed ADHD and depression type beat

- I imagine ITP takes place in like, early or maybe mid 2010s. I've seen on this blog once or twice the idea of Millie being around the pizzaplex and i love that idea but I always saw her as like, a closer to classic Freddy Fazbear's kid.

- Her family is pretty well off. That's why she can actually afford to dress the way she does (yeah I'm jealous what of it)

- She likes horror a Lot. It's something of a hyperfixation of hers, but it leaves her grandpa quite concerned because My Granddaughter Has Been Holed Up In Her Room Watching Horror Movies All Day Is She Mentally Stable

- I know in canon she was only going to stay with her grandpa while her parents were away but I got the vibes that her grandpa basically helped raise her. (In my own weird au where millie and sarah like, band together with the other protags to investigate freddy fazbears and specifically the bite of 83 and shit she just full on lives with him lol)

- She's intimidating as Fuck when she gets mad.

- Her hair is not naturally black (not sure what color it Is tho, maybe blonde??), but she dyes it (I also imagine she likes to throw in some purple streaks or a black to purple ombre sometimes)

- She has like 3 piercings on each ear. The second set no one knew she was getting until she came back home from going out to do so. She was banned from getting piercings as a punishment so the third one was also a secret no one in the family noticed for like months.

- She would love FNaF. I feel like she'd make "man behind the slaughter" jokes. Is that old? Me and my sister still do it.

- She is absolutely awful with kids, but they love her. She goes out to the park with a black umbrella to brood dramatically in the shade and from the playground she just hears "Millie!!" And then a small crowd of children runs up asking if she'll play with them. She always gives in and agrees to play in the end. She can never even remember their names or anything but they see the sad girl in all black and immediately know She's Friend. She would die for them.

- Oswald is her surrogate brother and ok now that I'm thinking abt millie in the pizzaplex era Gregory would be too 100%.

- She likes chocolate. She gives me the vibes of someone who just, chocolate everything. Her grandpa buys chocolate chips for baking and Millie eats them all.

- As a kid she cried a lot and didnt know how to/was too afraid to stand up for herself. She has a lot of repressed anger from those years and tends to dramatically overreact as a result (I'm not projecting what do you mean)

- OK BOUNCING OFF THAT ONE HC THAT DYLAN HAS DID AS SOMEONE WHO MAYBE HAS IT MYSELF I LOVE THAT. I have an Idea for how it would've formed which is that his familial situation is Very Not Good. Anyways I think, he has probably abt 10 ish alters, Millie would get along with most of his alters. I think Dylan would have multiple persecutor alters which r alters who formed from trauma who harm the body or other alters to try and protect them. Millie actually gets along surprisingly well with one of them.

- On another note w/ Dylan tho Millie's grandpa meets Dylan, finds out just a little bit abt his family and basically tells him like "my home is your home, if you're not safe there, you're always welcome here" so <3 he likes to spend basically all his time at Millie's grandpa's house and he doesnt say it but he worries hes like is your home really that bad do I need to call CPS?

- Millie's parents come home at the end of the year and are like well what'd we miss? And her grandpa's like look at my new grandson Dylan :) Dylan come out and say hi!! And out comes a teenage boy with bright red hair, a bunch of piercings (also a scar on one ear), wearing spiky platform boots, spiked bracelets and choker like Millie's (but in white w/ black spikes) and patched black jeans, wiping Pop Tart crumbs off a My Chemical Romance shirt and he just looks up at them totally nonchalantly and goes "Heyo" and walks off and they're like MAURICE WHAT THE HELL?!? WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET THIS KID?!?! JUVIE?!!?!??

- Millie's grandpa doesn't Know Dylan has DID 100%- Dylan hasn't told him and doesn't plan to- but he notices major changes in personality from time to time and catches Millie, Sarah or Brooke calling him different names occasionally. That plus his vague knowledge of what goes down at Dylan's house, he's sorta put the dots together on his own, but he hasn't said anything yet.

- Ok so like, I love the idea of Brooke having like a pastel/bubblegum-bitch aesthetic. One time Brooke dressed Millie up in a pastel goth style (and Dylan gave her a scene/emo style) and at the time she was like it's so BRIGHT it's so SOFT WHAT but shes been thinking about that ever since and occasionally while shopping she'll pick out a pair of cutesy/pastel earrings or a neon accented choker or something like that.

- Brooke introduces Millie and Dylan to Marina. Millie introduces Brooke to MCR (or something, idk, for as much of a goth as I am I mostly listen to Penelope Scott). Dylan introduces them both to FaLiLV (a Japanese band). Brooke does not like their taste in music.

- Millie's idea of calming down is laying on her bed and listening to screamo.

The one about Millie being terrible with children but them loving her anyway, is so accurate to my Millie as well. She can take care of a child about as well as she can take care of herself (not much at all-), but her cousins absolutely love when she babysits them, and Gregory looks up to her as a role model (Millie's just like "thanks, but reconsider!" lol)

And the one with Millie's grandpa practically adopting Dylan, I swear ur trying to kill me with wholesomeness, I love them sm. In my AU if Dylan was having issues with his family and Millie's grandpa found out, he'd just calmly stand up and walk into the garage, coming back with a baseball bat. He'd calmly tell Millie and the others that he's just going to have a "talk" with Dylan's parents, while Millie knowing damn well just what he means by that starts chasing after him telling him not to do this, Dylan not far behind.

Dylan's parents would just hear someone pounding on their door, and when they answer there's just an extremely tired and pissed off 60 something year old man on their doorstep, and two teens attempting to hold him back, all while Millie's grandpa is shouting a load of expletives at them.

The whole time Dylan is just panicking, and is all like "M-Mr. Fitzsimmons, you don't have to do this!", whereas Millie knows that her grandfather will not calm down until someone is at least hospitalized.

New fandom discourse?

Wow. This fandom is something else. 

Unlike what appears to be many others in this fandom, I’ve been off the social media sites because I’m still working full (and overtime) during this pandemic, so that means I’ve also been a bit behind in all the venom that’s being spit at other fans. 

I want to make sure I get this correct. There are schisms between:

Beetlebabes and antis

Movie fans and cartoon fans and musical fans

And now a divide between what a fictional character’s sexuality is?!

The sheer amount of policing that goes on in this bloody fandom is utterly astounding, and not in a good way.

Now to kick the murder hornet’s nest. The following are my personal opinions and a challenge.

Regarding specifically Musical Beetlejuice and people who insist he is pan or bi because throughout the show he kisses and gropes Adam: I think there was a conscious decision to have Beej go after Adam and not Barbara, vs OG Juice in the movie. In this day and age with the #metoo movement, OG Juice’s actions twoards Barbara are very predatory and rapey. Unfortunately, it's still played for comedic effect when it's guy on guy--each kiss or grope Beetlejuice gave Adam (or vice versa, when Adam manipulated him) got big laughs afrom the audience. As for the article that’s being cited that Alex Brightman answers the question about Beetlejuice being pan or bi, “It was written that way; he kisses Barbara, he kisses Adam [a married couple who die early in the show]. In the movie, he’s portrayed a little more predatorial. In this one, he’s just enamored with people.” Okay. But also: “He’s lonely. He never knows his boundaries because he’s never had them before. It’s why he has no problem being attracted to everybody.” which is a quote from the same article. 

So even if Mr Brightman said it, if someone wants to hc that Beetlejuice is straight but kisses Adam for manipulation or attention or comedic effect, it’s okay for them to do that.

And to all of you who seem so upset that other people say he's straight: Maybe most casual fans or people looking at this fandom think he’s straight because what they see is Beetlejuice/f!reader or Beetlejuice/Lydia. There is some Beetleland content, but you’re asking folks to accept a poly relationship and maybe that’s not their thing.  So how much content have you personally created where he is with a guy? I can count on two fingers people I know who have done this, and one of them is me. It’s so fucking rare. If you think he's bi or pan, then write or draw him with someone who isn't female! Show him being bi or pan! Flood me with it, so I can pass it on to my friends and people who contact me asking for more Beetlejuice/m!reader or Beetlejuice/trans male reader!  tl;dr: Beetlejuice is whatever you want him to be. Straight, gay, bi, pan . . . whatever.

I have the “too much gene” and as a result a quick idea turned into a short story/beetlejuice x reader/beetlejuice HC.  I’m dyslexic, grammar and spelling aren’t my strong suits.

Having lived in the city your entire life you’ve never actually seen stars. Pictures on a projection are okay, and the view of city lights over the hills are beautiful. But it certainly can’t compare to the majesty of the universe. 

You received a job offer on the east coast, some nowhere town in Connecticut. You’d be able to work from home and still maintain your passion for art. It didn’t take you long to pack your bags and say goodbye to your family before you were off. 

Arriving in Winter River Connecticut was less than favorable. A downpour had done serious damage to your new home, and you wouldn’t be able to work in the house until repairs were done. 

At least there was one motel you could stay in while repairs were underway. Before heading there, you stopped by the Art Supply store and bumped into a vibrant woman; who was lecturing an employee on the differences between water-based and polymer clays. Having noticed that you’d picked up some sculpting tools the vivacious woman introduced herself as “Delia Deetz” and excitedly grabbed hold of a teenager decorated in gothic closing, “And this is Lydia! She’s my step-daughter!” 

You exchanged quick casual conversation but found that Delia was relentless; wanting to know everything about you and your skills. You mentioned you’ve shown in a few exhibitions, nothing big. Positively dazzled (and much to Lydia’s embarrassment) you’d been swept off your feet and invited to their home for dinner. 

The Deetz’s home was... unique. A blend of modern geometric furniture and shapes that clashed with rustic homemade furniture. Once Delia got wind of your situation in your new home you were ushered into the guest bedroom. Guess you were staying the night then? 

Delia talked your ear off. Her husband, Charles, was constantly amused by her enthusiasm. Lydia was interesting though; she’d duck behind walls and whisper to a small group of people, two wearing green, and another in a striped suit. 

It didn’t take long for you to pipe up and ask, “Who are the people in green and the guy in the suit?” 

The entire household went quiet. 

“You can see us?” Piped up a man in green plaid. 

“Yes. Obviously.” 

Elated, the plaid shirted man introduced himself as Adam Maitland and the woman in green was his wife Barbara. They quickly explained they were ghosts and didn’t have much company outside of the Deetz’s. The most peculiar of all, the man in the striped suit, stepped forward. With a snap of his fingers the house turned into a party worthy of a macabre Great Gatsby. Zombie Showgirls dancing, champagne popping, jazz blaring from a skeleton band, singing from sirens, darkness and light dancing at his fingertips. As quickly as it has all appeared, it was gone... he introduced himself as “The Ghost with the Most!” 

“He’s Beetlejuice.” The rest of the house sighed, obviously used to his shenanigans. 

One way or another you’d been at the Deetz/Maitland household for 2 weeks. Repairs were taking longer than you had hoped. 

They were all kind people. You worked with Delia in her studio on your art, you were learning new crafts with the Maitlands, you bonded with Charles over architecture, Lydia took a liking to you after you introduced her to some new bands and horror movies. Beetlejuice remained an anomaly. Every time you were alone with him he’d put on outlandish shows, Mardi Gras themed, Carnival, Greek, each theme peppered with his signature goth and gore. Each party also had an abundance of alcohol and drugs that Beetlejuice ravenously indulged in. 

You didn’t actually know him though. Not as well as you would have liked. He partied hard, he hung out with Lydia, complained a lot, but mostly put on insane shows to keep himself busy. Or so you thought.

The skies had been dark for nearly 3 weeks, icy rain continuing to fall. At this rate you might as well unpack your things and move into the house. You were relaxing with Lydia, helping her sort out her photography into various photo albums.  “Hey Lyds...”  “Hm?” She asked, only half paying attention, as she tried to decide if a picture of crows belonged in the “Foreboding”, “Ominous”, or “Murder” pile.  “How come Beej’s hair is always pink?”  Lydia scoffed, “It’s not pink you dingus. It’s usually green. His hair changes color with his mood. Purple when he’s bummed out, red when he’s angry, and green is his usual M.O.” “Oh...” you sat puzzled, “But, everytime I see him his hair is pink. What does pink mean?”  “Dunno...” she shrugged, sliding the last of her pictures into the albums, “Ask him yourself.” 

Retiring to your room, you pondered about Beetlejuice. Strange guy. You couldn’t quite nail him down. 

You flopped down on to your bed, ready to reply to emails when something glimmering caught your eye. 

Outside of your window you saw them: stars! 

You flew out of the bed and flung open the window as fast as you could, pulling yourself out the window on to the ledge. You gasped, clasping your hands together, “Stars!” You cheered, “Such beautiful stars!” For the first time in weeks the sky was clear and bright; and more beautiful than you ever imagined. 

“Heh.” you heard a chuckle. Just a few windows down was Beetlejuice, lounging on the roof, “Ya act like you haven’t ever seen gas. Just let one rip and light it on fire. That’s a human thing, right?”  You rolled your eyes, boldly moving towards him, “You don’t get it!” you exclaimed, “I’ve never SEEN stars before! Where I’m from you can see 3 or 4, there are more helicopters in the sky than actual stars! And oh my god, aren’t they gorgeous?” 

Your hands fell over your heart, the romantic in you bursting through. “I love them! I love them all. They’re like jewels in the sky! I wish I could pluck them out of space and hold them in my hands, admire it, love it, set it free like a butterfly--” 

Beetlejuice laughed, for the first time you finally noticed that his hair was a bright green instead of pink. The more boisterous his laugh the brighter green his hair became.  “Oh you’re somethin’ else sweetheart.” He taunted, throwing himself back against the roof dramatically, “Oh stars! Come to me and let me worship you like a lil lap dog!” He mocked, “I’m so deep, I’m a struggling artist! Misunderstood by the world! Only the emptiness of the universe understands my dark soul!”  His taunting continued, mocking your adoration for the stars relentlessly. You’d patiently taken his mockery until you decided to turn the tables.  “What about you, huh?” You took a large step forward, “Are you so bored with everything that you need be drunk or high to keep your mind off your own misery? Don’t think I haven’t seen you at your insane parties! All you do is create them so you can get high off your ass.”  Beetlejuice stopped his mockery on a dime, the green in his hair shifting into shades of pink and red.  “Watch it Breather.” He warned, stepping forward until you two were nose to nose, “It’s a three story drop and I’m not above murder.”  “You watch it!” You snapped, “I thought you were this upbeat, optimistic guy! But you’re actually just a shell of what USED to be a person, absolutely dead inside and trying to fill the void.” Turning your back to him, you headed towards your room, slipping back inside and slamming the window. 

Those stars you wanted to see for so long? Not worth it after all. 

What you didn’t see was The Ghost with the Most, slouching outside your window, quitely cursing himself for being an ass. His hair fading into a deep violet.

there are very few ships that i actively wished that i shipped but a lot of the time i wish that i shipped a ship that was more popular in a lot of my fandoms, like i like the pairing itself but i wish that just ONCE i could ship the most popular ship in a fandom for all the content

looking back on my ff.net account, which was my first Online account, the first thing i ever contributed to any fandom was a sonny with a chance fanfiction back in july of 2009.

ajflkdasf i definitely have, i have this han solo edit that was kind of my first “cracky” edit that i ever posted and then i have the best post i ever made (my riley “look what you made me do” edit) and i also think my girl meets world incorrect quotes would also fall under this category 

F: What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? What fandom was it? 

hm, i would maybe say the walking dead? i’ve considered myself part of the fandom for like 3 years even tho there was a solid like 9 months where i didn’t post any original content, i’ve been a fan for a long time and have plenty of original content to show for my time in the fandom 

G: What was your first fandom? 

honestly?? probably like late 2000s disney/nick shows ajkfldjasf, that’s what all my earliest fandom contributions are for and considering i was joining the internet fandoms at like age 13, it makes sense 

H: Do you prefer real-life TV shows or animated TV shows? 

real life! the only animated show i’ve ever been super into is bob’s burgers, which is like my favorite show of all time, but most of my other favorite shows are real life, not animated. 

I: Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why? 

tumblr has never ruined an entire tv show fandom for me but it’s definitely ruined ships/shipping fandoms for me, like a lot of times if a shipping fandom is really like rude towards one of my favorite characters that’ll make me stop being a fan of that ship/that ship fandom.

J: Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr. 

tbh most fandoms that i join, i join them because of tumblr like i distinctly remember the walking dead being all over my tumblr and originally having no desire to watch it but all the gifs and edits that i saw made me really interested eventually so i caved and watched it. the same kind of goes for girl meets world too. 

K: How do you feel about the other people in your current fandom(s). 

I HAVE TO SAY that most people in the rucas fandom are pretty wonderful and all things considered the rucas fandom is probably the nicest shipping fandom i’ve ever been in like obviously there are sour apples in every fandom, but most rucas shippers are pretty sweet, i will also say that i’ve never met a mean gleggie shipper which i’m Thankful for. 

L: Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for? 

considering my favorite gifmaker AND fanfic author is maggie @friarlucas aka my bestie, i like to think that i have more than one request BUT if i only had one and am not allowed to request the next chapter of atlp, i would request a follow up to her hp au fic where lucas fell off his broom 

M: A person who got you into a fandom and what fandom they pulled you in to. 

at the beginning of our friendship, samantha @jakeamys kinda pulled me into the dylan o’brien fandom tbh, that’s really the only time i can think of something like that happening tho

HONESTLY probably the gleggie fandom, when i was more firmly in that fandom every single person that i met was an angel and i also have to say that i always felt like most gleggie shippers loved both glenn and maggie and truly just wanted to see them together and just genuinely loved their scenes and that’s all you can ask for which i love, i hope all my gleggie shippers out there are doing well bc i love them all

OK so an au i’ve had on my mind for like a week that i have yet to post abt is a zombie apocalypse au for riley and lucas where the apocalypse happens when they’re in college (+ dating long distance) so riley is in nyc and lucas is in texas so obviously they have no way to contact each other and they’re really far apart and they have no idea if the other one is still alive and then like a year or two into the apocalypse riley is living at this community/camp and one day lucas randomly shows up bc like he was wandering around the area and ended up getting hurt and needed help and he has no idea riley is there and wow they reunite and it’s beautiful

i used to be really into riley and maya and i just kind of lost interest in them, i realized that i just didn’t like them as much as i thought i did so i don’t really consider myself a shipper of them anymore

I seriously love how dramatic thisis but I’m gonna say DECLINED.

Max isn’t really attached to Jonah like that. He’s more of a symbol to her than a real person that she’s actively pursuing and she doesn’t expect anything to really come from their interactions because she knows she’s very abrasively coquettish around him and expects that to scare him away. I have this headcanonthat the whole cheer team built up this idealization of him as this holyunattainable trophy-boy, she has this totally romanticized image of him as thislarger-than-life angel or fairytale prince charming who she’s going to kiss just to prove to herself that she can without her heathen lips burning up. They’ve also only interacted twice (the para reply I’m writing for Sam now will be their third time meeting) and the first few times have just been very brief and playful encounters and Max is the type to develop pretty shallow crushes at first sight but she’s not (immediately) territorial. She really doesn’t know him that well. Up until their last interaction she thought he was in a weird half-incestual polygamous marriage with Eve and Mercy and Levi anyway.

Also, Max is pretty desperate for validation frommen so she doesn’t waste time getting romantically invested in boys who don’tshow very prominent heart eyes for her. So far I think (??) Jonah is more reserved around her?? So she’d rather pursue boys who are openly flirtatious and/or make it pretty obvious that they have a crush on her.

If she saw Eve and Jonah in bed together, her biggest problem would be this snap worry that OH SHIT THEY’RE THE TOKEN COUPLE IN THE HORROR MOVIE OF MY LIFE PLEASE TELL ME THEY DIDN’T SLEEP TOGETHER OH GOD IT’S STARTING AND THEY’RE GONNA DIE FIRST.

As a sidenote: if the boy were Grey Caverly, this would probably be a different story. Second sidenote: if the boy were Sid or Jimmy, she would definitely  s c r e a m  at him to get out and have a serious talk with Eve to stay away.Third sidenote: if that boy were a girl and that girl were Lydia Asher, she would wake them up with a wedding cake and a lot of confetti.

Kassie, stop. Canon does not say one way or the other, you are not allowed to be a brat to them because it’s rude and you would be in the wrong.
