Lance is tired. Just... tired. Five extra steps to every mission that the others don't follow – bind, cry because it fucking hurts over the blue-black bruises of the last fight, get hit a few times more than necessary, spend 20 minutes catching your breath, ignore the bruises the binder pushes at until the next fight.

more trans lance, i think i was scrolling throught the tag here. this one is sad i will say. i have to believe he gets healhty and starts to truly trust his team after this :(( but the fic was wonderful despite the fact that it hurts

Keith's search for his stolen jacket is set aside when more pressing matters arise. The sobs coming from behind Lance's closed door are a bit more than worrying, so Keith lets himself in. He tries to provide all the support he can, but he can only do so much for the sniveling lump of a boy with tear-filled eyes and a refusal to explain himself.

i LOVE this fic ive read it so many times. it's a 2016 fic, so i love it on principle, but it also has a perfectly balanced mix of arguing and banter and angst and begrudging attraction like!! shocked it's only a few thousand words. i've also had "tell me next time i say something stupid" "everything you say is stupid" screenshotted forever lol i laughed out loud

Keith has been friends with Lance for a while, and has long since been aware of his feelings for him. As he's taking Lance home to visit his parents for the first time during semester break, he's hoping to finally confess.

June 6,23 1:00pm - I'll be going back into town to legally change my name and gender, I just called the rcmp to make the appointment, turns out. there's only one available appointment and that happens to be on my birthday! Thats 2[two] weeks from now. I'm still going to go into town and shop for the household. we need so much stuff dude, it's kind of concerning.

9:03pm - our fckn power went out .-. it sucks, mum and I were trying to make fried bread tonight to have as a snack 😕 there is not enough head in this house for this bread to rise 😤

also, mum and I decided I should go into town to do some grocery shopping this Friday. we are running out of so many stuff man, that is the reason why we wanted to make fried bread. I am hoping that it goes back on some time tonight or tomorrow. I want those fried bread!! 😭

June 7, 23 9:02pm - we ended up making fried bread anyway! as late as it was, we still fried them ^-^ we ended up with 4 a piece, not to mention that we planned about me going into town again. there are some changes to those plans but we are both getting them done!

by the way, I just heard about the wild fires. I hope everyone can find a safe place to stay and have lots of stuff you need during this time. I heard it started at the same time! that's nuts.

Time Skip to Friday, Lunch time before the dance, Y/n POV 

“Don’t forget your writing assignment is due Monday and it will be presented to the class.” Mr Yagami said as the class left for lunch. I turned to Tendou as we walked out together.

“So did you finally tell them you and I are going together tonight babe?” He asked me.

“I will right now Satori. They both have been a little more on edge since shit with Mei last weekend honestly. I didn’t want to salt Tsuki’s wound. Shirabu also already knows anyway and he supports it.” 

“Oh there is Tsukishima.” He said as he dipped down a side hall heading outside. “See you at 9 babe.” 

At my locker my friends were already waiting for me to head to lunch. We headed to the court yard and sat at our usual table as I looked at Shirabu. 

“I think it’s time to include you guys in the loop before tonight happens.” I said. 

“What loop?” Tsukishima said with a hint of annoyance. 

“Tendou is taking me to the dance because I like him and you cannot change my mind. So either you support me or I can just leave the table and go hang out with him.” I said as fast as I could. Tsukishima let out a loud sigh. 

“Oh I am happy for you  y/n! I don’t mean to rush off but I have to go grab something from my teacher. I am happy for you!” Yamaguchi said as he stood up. 

“I can tell you are genuine Yams, don’t worry. I will see you later in class!” I looked over to Tsukishima. 

“I guess it’s fine. I don’t want to lose our friendship for some shitty guy. If he hurts you I will say I told you so.” 

“I will take it.” I said happy as my friends had accepted Tendou as my date.

Mei POV

I texted my sisters group and no one responded. I even tried to message my best friend who ignored me too. I checked my messages with Oikawa to see if he had responded yet. Just a short while ago I overheard Oikawa say I was nothing but an expensive fuck. I could feel my heart shatter when I heard him say that. I ran and immediately texted him I was unable to go to the dance tonight cause my father said I am too young. I now sat under a tree as I let my tears free fall from my eyes.  

“Mei… is that you?” I turned my head to see Yamaguchi. 

“Hi…” I said just above a whisper. 

“What happened? Why are you here all alone crying outside?” 

“I just.. I am sorry Yamaguchi. Y/n was right, I suck.” He then sat down beside me as he placed a pile of papers beside him . 

“Hey… I know I said some very harsh things to you a few days ago and I definitely could have worded them better but that doesn’t mean you suck, okay?” 

“I do. Y/n finally opened up to me and I blew her off and called Oikawa behind her back.” I saw Yamaguchi shift uncomfortably beside me. “I knew it was wrong but I thought he really liked me, till a little while ago… I heard him tell Iwaizumi I was just an expensive fuck who was showing to be not worth it anymore.” 

“Mei… I am so sorry.” 

“Please Yams, don’t be. If only I listened to Y/n. She tried to warn me so many times and I just wanted to be popular. I just, really wanted to be someone’s someone. I don’t know how y/n does it. Dad didn't care about us after mom left and I took such a great advantage of her to the point I don’t think she will forgive me. I even used the money she was saving for mine and her dresses and now it was just a waste. I really messed up Yams.” I said as I buried my face in my hands. He placed his hand on my back. 

“Hey, y/n has the biggest soft spot for you, I have seen it first hand okay? She will forgive you. And about the dresses, Mei will you go to the dance with me?” I looked into Yamaguchi’s eyes. 

“Are you serious…?” I asked him. 

“Yes Mei. Come with me and we will talk to Shirabu, Tsukishima and y/n together before we go, Okay?” I nodded my head in agreement as he gave me a hug then helped me up.

 Time Skip after school-Y/n POV

“If I had to give Tsuki a title its teen angst cause LOOK AT HIMMMM!” I shouted as I laughed at him. 

“I mean, can he deny it? No.”Shirabu replied. Even Tsukishima was laughing at that moment. We were interpreted by Mei as she entered the room. She sat down and began to tell us about what had happened with Oikawa. 

“I told you he was a piece of shit Mei.” I interrupted. She made no attempt to dig back at me as she carried on her speech. She told us what her and Yamaguchi had spoken about at lunch according to them. 

“You are my younger sister and no matter what I love you, I don’t trust you though so that's something you will have to earn back.” She jumped from her seat as she engulfed me into a hug saying how much she loved me with her whole heart over and over again. 

“I love you too but I got to get ready. Satori will be here in 30 minutes with the limo. You guys sure you don’t want to carpool with us?” 

“All the monsters in a small space… I will take a hard pass y/n.” Yamaguchi said. 

“I will get ready with you if that’s okay though?” Mei said as I reached my hand out for her to take. 

After Mei and I got ready Tendou had just messaged he would be here soon. My father took many pictures of the five of us as we headed out the door. I jumped in Tsukiishima’s car till we got around the corner and I hopped out seeing Tendou leaned up against the limo. 

“Hey babe.” He said as he pulled me into a kiss. We got inside the limo as Terushima was the first to speak to me. 

“Milkshake girl! What’s up?” He was noticeably already intoxicated at this time. “You wanna beer? We are getting pre lit before this fancy shit fest!” 

“I am okay, maybe after the dance.” I said. 

The ride was quite enjoyable as I feel I saw a new side of the rowdy bunch I once hated. We arrived at the school in no time as Tendou helped me out of the limo. 

“Looks pretty fancy already.�� Hanamaki said as he walked up to the door with the rest as they followed close behind him. 

“You ready for the dance, Satori?” I asked him. 

“As ready as I will ever be y/n.” He said taking my arm in his as we walked up the few steps to get to the door.

2020 Fixture Breakdown

Home Games 7 at Marvel  4 at the ‘G. I like this in terms of my personal travel to and from games but a bit worrying for finals should we make them we fckn better and have to play at the ‘G. North at the ‘G does not tickle my fancy at all tbh and Carlton at the ‘G on a Thursday night sounds awful, I’m tired already just thinking about trying to get home.

Away Games in Melbourne 2 at Marvel 3 at the ‘G

This is better. An almost even split sounds good to me. Hate that I have to get tickets to ANZAC Day but that’s the way the news goes. Also a little miffed that the country game isn’t our home game next year, I know I have to be almost alone in saying it but I really do like that it’s an annual game. There’s just something about hearing Waltzing Matilda before a game that really boosts my patriotism.

Interstate Games

Can never seem to escape the SCG, I’ve always hated playing there think this is a personal attack on me by Gill but it is what it is and we’ll see how we go. I don’t mind playing twice in Adelaide. The annual Thursday night match in Perth is another one we can’t seem to ever escape, a bit sick of it at this point. Giants Stadium still gives me PTSD too and playing Round 23 away sucks. Interstate games are never going to be good when you can’t travel but that’s life.

There are NINE Thursday night games next season and they gave us FOUR of them! Thursday night football is good to watch when other teams are playing but when we’re playing it sucks, I feel like I don’t have anything left to really look forward to for the rest of the weekend. Very happy with our Sundays, I have to be alone in saying this but I love Sunday games the most, I get to watch every other match during the weekend and then end it by watching my own team, pure bliss tbh.

Teams We Play Twice

GWS, Collingwood, Adelaide, North Melbourne, Sydney

This is nice. I have a soft spot for GWS so playing them twice makes me happy. Collingwood and Sydney seem to be the norm recently in terms of a second match so no surprises there. Don’t mind playing Adelaide again and North should be good.

Overall seems like an alright draw, however we won’t really know until the season starts. Super keen for 2020, I miss footy so much already, I just need it to start as soon as possible. Go Dons!

Ahahahaha the fact that Seamus posted this lmfaoo the amount of times I’ve worked with him and Chris or even the owner of one of the companies I work for has come out of nowhere and started fckn talking about the new music theyre dropping or a secret set he’s playing😭

Everyone has a specific roll in a festival..or even event operations/management in general. Once you get into your position, it takes probably 2 years to leave/advance. And you really only have 3 options on how to reputably do so.

Unless you learn a new skillset — [event ops -> dj/spit -> solo/SYO shows -> getting your name recognized in the scene as a second position -> actually getting good at your shit -> then, maybe, you can put in a resume to apply to preform (depending on show numbers)] which takes a minimum of two years.

Or

You get yourself contracted to different positions/companies in the same/similar field, like I’ve been doing for the past year. My situations a little different — I have no intention or interest on being in the scene/on stages. I’d much rather management over specific department(s) (hence box office management) and work in ADA/artist transportation. *or* completely work for myself as 100% 1040/C everything under my own company and be able to play with flow props while I do 1040.

Even though I’ve literally never picked up a flow prop except a weighted hoops and Lyra hoops. And for the 1000th time to anyone who asks me next — no, the burn scar on my hand is not from a fire prop — it is from the toaster oven.

Which, unfortunately, happens to most..because addiction, mental health and being around this type of high-stress environment, where substances and substance abuse is prominent, could take a lot out of a person. Even if you’re not the type of person who dabbles in substances/is disgusted by the simple thought of it. I’m not excusing any behaviors and I am not speaking for anyone else.

However, the single year I’ve spent in this high stressed, unconventional, work-environment.. I can very easily see and understand how simple it may seem for some people to say ‘fuck it’ and choose drugs and partying over making a name for yourself/starting a career in this environment.

Friendly reminder that the music scene is not what I want to do with my life but rather a tool I’ve used to travel to some really incredible places for weeks on end for damn near close to zero expenses, build my knowledge of behind the scenes event management, meet some incredible people, make friends and enjoy my 20s because two years ago I realized I’ve focused my entire childhood and teenage years on worrying about my family and friends’ well-being and I spent 9 years in relationships with 2 people.

I had my childhood ripped away from me and I spent my entire adolescence trying to repair/fill a void caused by trauma. Which I’ve also learned is a very normal reaction to being raped by someone who was supposed to be your protector at a young age. But I’ll be damned for life if I let that shit continue to eat at me.

^ I could be drinking and doing drugs. But I’m not. I’m working, traveling and actually learning how to enjoy myself, making friends, and I’m.. actually happy.

Thank you tumblr for letting me pointlessly rant on one of my many voidump blogs while all of my friends are at work/asleep/waiting to go to work. It’s been real, it’s been fun. I’m off to go get ready for brunch in the city for 11:30, Happy Friday❤️💚

this was such a soft and wonderful character study. the soft slow build and determined communication...yeah this fic was written with such care and you can tell

nothing in the entire history of voltron legendary defender, nay the history of voltron entirely, is funnier than the moment where lance called keith grizzled. he absolutely deserves to be clowned on for that for eternity, even in modern aus, like this fic. lance freaking out about keith getting bigger is funny in every universe in every way and this fic nails it lol

2. only a hippopotamus will do by perfchan

Lance walks into the kitchen and stops. Physically stops, the cup in his hand that’s in need of a refill completely forgotten.

He turns, slowly. Raises an eyebrow. Are those...cookies? He blinks.

Yep. He leans in closer to inspect. Sugar cookies in the shape of pine trees. Green icing, mostly, with the stars on top slathered on in yellow. Well. They’re sort of messy, more like green and yellow blobs, actually. But that’s clearly the intention. Sprinkles for ornaments.

Christmas cookies.

There’s a whole plate of them---a paper plate, stacked high with handmade cookies, wrapped in plastic wrap---and they just randomly appeared. Right here on his kitchen counter.

Lance huffs out little sigh and shakes his head. Maybe mutters something under his breath. But he doesn’t give it much thought once he’s left the kitchen. Afterall, his perpetually cranky, sourfaced roommate basically lives to do weird shit to annoy him. Or something. Lance has found that living with Keith means one thing: expect the unexpected.

And everything tends to get a little crazier when the holidays roll around.

sweetheart keith! overdramatic lance! yes yes yes! and i mean overdramatic lance in this fic lmfao he is epitome dramaqueen bisexual. this fic kills me tho bc for starters its a modern au, and i fckn love modern aus, but further still it is an au wherein lance gets keith as a roommate entirely bc he finds keith hot and his smile breathtaking. what a dumbass nerd. love him

Keith comes back Hot and Lance has a crisis on the bottom bunk.

u know those fics that make u fan ur face a little? not necessarily bc it’s explicit or anything but bc its just so swoony and romantic and shit and ur embarrassed about how affected u are?? that’s this fic.

The five times Lance was his impulse control, and the one time he wasn't.

y’all know me with 5+1s. i love this one in particular tho bc keith is such a prick lmao. i love when keith is rough and scowly and doesnt handle other people well and can’t emote to save his life. i love when he loves deeply and endlessly with his whole heart but in the least conventional possible way, and i love fics where lance slowly learns to recognise the strange ways in which keith says i-love-you and this fic kills that

5. A Human Thing by @xirayn

Lance comes through a wormhole as a woman. It doesn't change much. aka Lance is gender fluid so getting gender bent by space magic only presents one problem, which turns out not to be Keith.

“Lance, can we just talk? After that you can go back to avoiding me.” Lance scoffed even as her eyes remained stubbornly forward. “I’m not avoiding you.” “Then what are you doing?” That earned him a glare, which would have been annoying if not for how happy Keith was to have her looking at him again. “I’m being a good partner and giving you space while I'm not your type.” Keith crossed his arms and met her eyes with a glare of his own, brow furrowed and lips a tight line. “Not my type?” Lance let out a long sigh of exasperation. “Female, Keith. I don't want you to feel like you have to force yourself to be attracted to women just because your boyfriend currently is one.”

genderfluid lance loml! this fic explores that entire concept so so well, even with the complications of extablished klance and team dynamics and UGH this fic is genuinely one of my faves. the slow trickle to the reveal near the end was planted there the whole time, but i was so caught up that i didnt realise it so when it finally came to light i was gagged!!

happy holidays, everyone! today, I let myself sleep in till 2pm. it was nice ^-^ got left overs for supper tonight, on my first cup of coffee. I checked the post office for any packages, there was only one. it wasn't AS cold this afternoon but I know it will be fckn CHILLY tonight. all clear sky today with a little bit of wind.

this may be tmi, however, when I took off my Trans tape, I got really impatient and just pulled them off without pouring oil in that last bit fckn stung (ngl though, kinda liked the sting). forcing myself to take a break for a few days to let my body heal, using the salve that came with the package.

5:43pm - just gonna have a toke with my ma before having supper, my little brother left 45 minutes ago to go cat sitting. he'll probably get paid more there than he would at school. judging from what my mother was saying, he didn't get very much. I am on my third cup of coffee and I took my daily meds earlier today. I also just finished painting my nails all purple too! they look pretty ^-^

9:00pm - I have just been laying around on my bed since 730, moments after I had supper. I almost wanted to take a nap. my little brother just came home from cat sitting. it got really wa in the house, I actually had to change into short ffs. I think I have finally reached the point of boredom. I don't know what movie or series to watch, YouTube is not interesting, I can't read for the life of me and social media is just meh. one thing though. I forgot to start on the fckn laundry today 🙃 I am a little annoyed about that. oh well. I have tomorrow to start on them, and I may be expecting a message from my boss, if I am working this Friday.
