Oct 21 - Introduce your Inquisitor

Here's my girl!!

So my first EVER Inquisitor (and first ever Bioware character) was a Trevelyan. Gwendoline Trevelyan, who was a sword and shield warrior, who I modeled after Brienne from Game of Thrones, who romanced Josephine and it was SO CUTE, and who I adore with all my heart. But since it was my first time playing a Bioware game I made... some interesting choices lol. I know I can kind of "retcon" them if I want and tbh I'll probably go back and replay her again at some point, but I wanted to bring an Inquisitor into DAV that I felt more in control of, if that makes sense.

And clearly, a Lavellan is going to probably have the most impact in DAV from what we've seen. So I went in knowing pretty much all the major choices I wanted to make, but some things still surprised me. I really like my headcanon for her relationship with Blackwall even if it makes me kinda sad. I see Tara as someone who loves listening to stories, heroics, fairy tales etc. so she was really excited to know a Warden, but she was just heartbroken by him lying to her the whole time. It wasn't even what he did necessarily, just that her trust was broken. I think she has more trouble regulating her emotions than she lets on, tries to cover it with humour or deflections, but she's quite sensitive.

Solas's betrayal hurt even more since she was really, truly in love with him. She wanted to be angry but she was just desperately sad. And yes, against all logic she wants to save him, she wants him back with her, and she KNOWS it's stupid but she can't help herself.

It's hard to make a reluctant hero in Inquisition but that's kind of her vibe. She was happy with her clan. She likes being in nature, being creative, playing, taking each day as it comes with no real big plans. She never wanted to be the Inquisitor but felt obligated to see it through (and couldn't exactly say no with the big glowing mark on her hand). Post-Trespasser she did disband them but of course is still searching for Solas, but in a much more informal way that feels more comfortable to her. She would never abandon her friends though and tries to visit them as much as she can!

HOLY SHIT THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ASK! I was so excited to get it that I couldn’t even look at it for a couple of days, but I finally put together my answer!

Gonna write about my lovelies Tobias Lavellan, sexy Hawke and Kya Trevelyan as kids, and talk about the mounts for my less developed OCs Mabel Adaar and Agatha Cadash, cos while I don’t know much about them I DO know what their mounts would be.

DA Kids!

Tobias Lavellan was a lonely child. She was teased a lot because she has a shem name and her and her mother are somewhat ostracised from the rest of the clan because of her mum's past shemlen lovers.  

I found some really great song lyrics I that I think describe the way Toby's mum would talk to her about this. It's from the song 'Lonely Moon' by Cat Empire:"Don't you worry if you feel so lonely cos everyone's lonely, they're all crazy too, like their mothers, like their fathers, everyone's crazy under a lonely moon."

sexy Hawke was the type of kid who ate Clag Glue and was obsessed with bugs. She was a weird kid.

Kya Trevelyan was quiet. She liked to read and kept to herself mostly, but she's always been the type to care deeply about stuff. 

She's a passionate person, and even as a child she was questioning the way of things and railing at the world's injustices. 

She was like me, though I was a little extra. Where I was bringing a bunch of my homemade pamphlets about the Israeli occupation of Palestine to school and talking about it at school assembly (it was weird, I know), Kya mainly kept her righteous anger to herself. 

Mounts!

Toby got a Dracolisk and called her Steven, Kya rides a horse because she wants to look Professional and sexy doesn't ride. She tried once, failed, then gave up. Her journey to Skyhold is Very Long.

Mabel Adaar is my poor confused child. Please note she looks like this:

She's not white but she has this exact expression and demeanour like 98% of the time.

Mabel has a Hart named Shelby. She may be an awkward and confused child most of the time but she's also very soft and romantic (her best friend is Cassandra and she romances Josephine), so I figure a majestic hart would work perfectly for her. Why the name Shelby? Dunno, it was the first name that came to mind.

Agatha Cadash has a giant nug called Nugzoar (it was Krem's idea). Agatha is my Disney Princess, she looks like this:

OC Faceclaim Meme

I was tagged by @captainceranna and @lizmapes to post faceclaims of some OCs I have. I have a lot of OCs!!!! I had to trim the list to some that are very near and dear to me. 

(TOP LEFT) Gwendoline Christie is my faceclaim for my Grey Warden, Sienna Amell. Height, body type, and face scream Sienna. Just swap out blonde waves for red curls and that’s her! 

(TOP RIGHT) I have an Overwatch NPC named Sully (no last name) who closely resembles Ellen Page. Like Sienna, Sully has red curls, but also covered in freckles and soft green eyes. The Seattle-raised omnic medic is new to the OC family but she’s already climbed her way up to the top. 

(BOTTOM LEFT) Elias Gagne isn’t just an Overwatch OC but a character from a comic I’ve been working on for months. It took a long time for me to figure out a faceclaim for the soldier turned mercenary but Brandon Urie was my final decision. Throw on some bulk and that’s my sarcastic Quebecois asshole. 

(BOTTOM RIGHT) I couldn’t make an OC post without bringing up Erin! The Heartbreaking dad Inquisitor has gone through many changes since I first rolled him out. Anson Mount is as close to a faceclaim as I’ll ever get for the pesky Trevelyan. I have booted him over to Overwatch as well but as an omnic! I haven’t finished even establishing what he’d look like but have been checking out humanoid robot concept designs over on pinterest. ^^
