I wanted to work on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, because it includes characters (mostly the girls) whom I barely see artwork of. And I wanted to put my own spin on them :) We don’t know a lot about Alicia or Katie, for instance. I literally found no more information on Alicia than ‘plays chaser on the Gryffindor team’… oh well. So I made it up! ☀️🤗

Being James' sister and dating Regulus ◼ HEADCANONS

When you entered Hogwarts, you were sorted into Gryffindor like you older brother James, which made you both very happy

As a Gryffindor, you didn’t have Slytherin friends, but you didn’t really hate them either

You and Regulus properly met when you were partnered in potions, and you were surprised of how nice and polite he actually was

After that class, you started talking a bit with him every time you shared a class, and soon you started to hang out in the library or in the courtyard

You wrote to him during the holidays, and made sure James didn’t know

You hung out more and more with Regulus in secret, and after a while realized you were having feelings for him. You

Unbeknown to you, Regulus already had feelings for you 

After a while, you contemplated telling Regulus about your feelings, but you thought he wouldn’t want to date a girl who wasn’t in Slytherin

But to your great surprise, he invited you to the Yule ball and you gladly accepted

The night of the Yule Ball, James was shocked to see you two together and angrily confronted you, saying Regulus being in Slytherin wasn’t the problem, but his views on pure-blood purity and wizards being superior to Muggles 

You were surprised to learn it, and told him Regulus never talked to you about it, and had been nothing but kind to you

However, you still talked to Regulus about it on private, and he assured you that what his family thought didn’t matter, and that he cared greatly about you and didn’t want to lose what you had

You said you had to think about it, but as you turned around to leave, he grabbed your arm and kissed you passionately 

“You had no idea for long I wanted to do this…How many times I imagined this moment…”

And that’s when you realized there was mistletoe over you two

He then asked you to be his girlfriend, and you obviously said yes

You decided to tell James right away, so he could see how awesome Regulus was

James wasn’t happy but accepted it, but Sirius tried to tell you Regulus wasn’t good for you, but you refused to listen to him, and Regulus was very thankful for that

Regulus was the best boyfriend you could ask for

He loved to cuddle, to hold you at night

Not much on PDA at first, but with time had no problem kissing you in public

He defended you against his friends - and you did the same

He always got you gifts and took you out on dates

Your parents quickly became fond of him, and you always invited him during the holidays - much to Sirius’ annoyance 

When James realized how happy Regulus made you, he decided to be cordial to him during the holidays, but things remained the same at Hogwarts 

When you and Regulus got married, James accepted to be your witness and was genuinely happy for you

ron weasley wasn’t someone you would consider to be “jealous”, he certainly had his moments. but when it came to you, he found himself constantly jealous. you were extremely attractive, and most girls wouldn’t say the same about him. but to you, he was perfect. you wouldn’t be with him if you didn’t like him.

when the two of you had first met, which had been at a party. parties weren’t really his scene, but his mother begged him to attend so he could keep a watchful eye over ginny. so he went.

at the party he stuck out like a sore thumb. tall, redheaded boy, just standing off to the side. maybe he was just shy, which coincidentally was just how you liked them. you walked over, two beers in hand, your heels clicking against the wood floor.

“beer?” you offered up one to the boy. there was a look of uncertainty on his face, but you still held the beer out, waiting for him to grab. reluctantly he did.

“thanks” he said with a smile. you grabbed him by his hand and found a the nearest couch to sit on. he was shocked to say the least, but he certainly didn’t stop you. after sitting down you grabbed his beer, opening it. then cracking yours open as well and taking a sip.

“im y/n, and you are?” you questioned, never breaking eye contact.

“ron, ron weasley” he answered.

“mkay, and what’re you doing here, ron weasley?” you said, placing your hand on the redheads shoulder.

“i was watching my little sister, but she’s over there snogging with some boy..”

“mmm i see. why don’t you have some fun of your own? let the girl live a little.”

“i don’t see why not..” he said looking at you.

the two of you talked for hours (and maybe participated in some snogging of your own). at the end of the night you’d had to ask for his number of course, with him being shy and all. but you’d definitely be seeing him again.

that was over a year ago. after a month of hanging with each other, you’d asked him out. given you never thought he’d work up the courage to ask you.——————————————————————————————————-————————

Minerva McGonagall/Maggie Smith

It is with a heavy heart, and even a heavier wand, that our most dear, beloved, and treasured witch/actress has passed away.

She was a wonderful person who had battled against cancer. Played a huge part in our childhood and a bigger role in her family. At the age of 89, I say she had lived a good life.

No amount of words of praise and appreciation will ever be enough. Maggie Smith was just that amazing.

Thank you for everything Maggie. Hopefully Alan Rickman, Richard Harris and all the rest of the beloved actors welcomes you in the after life. Thank you for making the wizarding world as magic as you.

May you rest in peace.

The element for Gryffindor house is fire

Regulus Black, Slytherin sorted and named after the star at the heart of the lion constellation, drowned, pulled down by the creatures in the water.

Harry Potter, who would have sorted Slytherin had he not known it's reputation, only surivied the same fate because of the flames that Dumbledore had conjured.

I think there is something poetic in Regulus being doomed by the element of the house that he chose (even if he was a lion at heart) while Harry was saved by the element of the house that he'd chosen (even though he was a snake at heart)

They were each a bit of what the other could have become, and yet were intersecting lines at the end, both fighting for the same cause at the end of their stories and giving their lives for it.
