🔥 Better BBQ
Default replacements for The Grillinator 'Big BQ' aka community grill, Brand name Metal Kettle, Grandiose Grill, Hob-O-Chan 3000, Rocket Heifer Barbeque and Char-Pane Grill.
And Hotdogs default.
✦ Download (SFS)
I've also included a few recolours for Rocket Heifer Barbeque [Seasons EP] and optional texture replacement for it.
I recommend this mod to enable "close lid" interaction for BBQs.
*This is for The Sims 2
Pics and info below the cut:
Inside the archive you'll find replacement file for three small grills, and another for three large (two-tile) grills.
Grandiose Grill (first pic below) received the most extensive makeover as the original UV-mapping is absurd and I had to change it. Edited doors use the wooden top part (much larger than original door texture bit). This replacement is compatible with recolours and texture defaults*, like these cluedo woods by @tvickiesims .
Please note: the lid, grill and panel are all linked to new (additional) texture, so these parts always look the same. You can choose between clean or worn version tho.
Grandiose Grill and Rocket Heifer both have broken lit-up/unlit coal states. One's always off, the other's always on. My default includes a fix for that. Basically, the charcoal subset has to be named "coal", and the SHPE has to point to unlit state TXMT, or it won't work properly.
Polycount is a bit higher for most of these mesh edits, but still reasonable IMO. Archive contains details.
Bonus: Hotdogs default - replaced meshes, textures and TXMTs. I've edited UVs and fixed the normals (weird light). Polycount is unchanged. Comes with Maxis-match mustard or ketchup.
Hotdog default includes diagonal sausages 🤓
Enjoy!

Get creative with veggie burgers
Check out my latest column
The unofficial start of summer passed last weekend, which means grilling season has begun, at least it has here in the Northeast.
Baked Falafel Burgers. You’ll be amazed at how vibrant the flavors are, how the parsley and lemon shine through. (Photo by Evi Abeler)
A juicy hamburger, a perfectly cooked steak, ribs, BBQ chicken or grilled hot dogs come to mind most often when one thinks of grilling or barbecue. However, if you have guests who are vegetarian or vegan, these menu items simply won’t do. A mass-produced packaged veggie burger is what most of us think is all that’s available to serve them.
With plant-based diets on the rise, we need to be creative in what to offer at a barbecue get-together. There are freshly made options available at the ready food counter at markets, and there is a bounty of delectable recipes to prepare at home.
As I have been trying to incorporate more vegetables in my diet, when dining out, trying chef-driven innovative varieties of veggie burgers is part of the fun. Those that don’t make the mark are when the restaurant purchases them ready-made and frozen. The times I have really enjoyed one, the chef put creative thought into the dish.
I am always on the lookout for tasty recipes for veggie burgers. When I saw the front cover of “Veggie Burgers Every Which Way: Fresh, Flavorful & Healthy Plant-Based Burgers” by Lucas Volger (2023, The Experiment, $25.95), I got hungry looking at the beautiful and hearty burger.
What also caught my attention was the back cover that says, “Veggie burgers for veggie lovers and curious carnivores alike.”
In his preface the author writes, “I’ve never been very excited about a veggie burger that tastes like meat. My perspective in this book was, and continues to be, that veggie burgers should be creative expressions of vegetables.”
Interestingly, the vegans I know are not interested nor excited about Beyond or Impossible burgers because they, too, aren’t looking for the texture and taste of meat. On the other hand, there are carnivores that choose to go meatless every so often and replace a meat burger with something that closely replicates it.
Once considered a hippie food … where did the creation begin? As with most food items or dishes, there are a few claims as to its founding. There’s one that was mentioned several times in my research.
It was in London in 1982 when Gregory Sams, a nutritionist, invented the first commercially made veggie burger he called VegeBurger. It was a dry mix packet. Fast-forward several decades, and the humble veggie burger has been elevated.
Volger’s book, with unique, delicious recipes tailored to a variety of diets (over half are vegan and/or gluten free), will excite each palate and suit every craving at this summer’s barbecues. The book is all-encompassing, with chapters on bean and grain burgers; vegetable burgers; tofu, seitan and TVP burgers; burger buns; sides; salads and fries; condiments and toppings. Volger also shares his universally fail-safe cooking methods.
So, move over freezer patties and faux meats and welcome Baked Falafel Burgers (recipe below); Spicy Peanut and Carrot Burgers (recipe below); Quinoa, Red Bean and Walnut Burgers (recipe at https://bit.ly/3Vipgo4); Sesame Sweet Potato and Cabbage Burgers; Corn Burgers With Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Goat Cheese; Tofu and Chard Burgers; and Tortilla-Crusted Stuffed Portobello Burgers.
Baked Falafel Burgers
Vegan, gluten free
Makes four 4-inch burgers
The headnote says: “In this falafel method, the chickpeas are soaked overnight but not cooked. (If we were deep-frying the burgers rather than baking them, this would be the traditional falafel method.) Store-bought falafel mixes — many of which are wonderful — use ground, unsoaked dried beans, but I find that the soaking makes for a significantly less dense, more tender falafel. The mixture is a bit more delicate than other burgers in this book, but you’ll be amazed at how vibrant the flavors are, how the parsley and lemon shine through. Serve with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce, Tahini Yogurt Sauce or plain tahini along with a squirt of sriracha, as a nod to the street food that fed me throughout my college years. Unfortunately, cooked chickpeas will not work in this recipe; there will be too much liquid and the burgers will fall apart as they cook.”
Ingredients:
1 cup dried chickpeas, rinsed thoroughly
1 onion, roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves
½ cup roughly chopped fresh parsley
Zest of 1 lemon plus juice of ½
1 tablespoon toasted cumin seeds
½ teaspoon baking soda (GF)
¾ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon chickpea or all-purpose flour, if needed
Olive oil, for greasing
Directions:
Cover the chickpeas with 4 to 5 inches of water in a bowl and let stand for 24 hours. Drain thoroughly. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Combine the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, lemon zest and juice, cumin, baking soda, salt, pepper and cayenne in a food processor. Pulse until coarsely combined. If the mixture is struggling to come together, add a bit of water, but no more than 2 tablespoons. (The burgers will fall apart when cooking if there’s too much liquid.) If water is added, stir in the chickpea flour. Adjust seasonings. Shape into 6 patties, about 1/3 cup each. It will be a fairly wet dough.
Liberally oil a baking sheet. Transfer the patties to the baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping them once halfway through, until golden and firm. Serve warm.
Spicy Peanut and Carrot Burgers. Peanut butter and a few fragrant aromatics serve to amplify and enhance the carrot, making this another one of those veggie burgers that’s all about the vegetables. (Photo by Christina Heaston)
Spicy Peanut and Carrot Burgers
Makes four 6-inch burgers
The headnote says: “This recipe helped me realize that coarsely shredding hardy vegetables, like carrots, is the secret to creating a vegetable-centric veggie burger — it preserves more of a vegetable’s texture than, say, roasting and puréeing it, and moreover it gives an interesting and varied texture to the finished burger. Peanut butter and a few fragrant aromatics serve to amplify and enhance the carrot, making this another one of those veggie burgers that’s all about the vegetables. A natural peanut butter will deliver a clean peanut flavor, whereas a processed one that has added sugar will be kind of cloying here. I love these paired with a zesty cabbage slaw or some shredded cabbage that’s tossed with a bit of salt and lime juice.”
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 scallions, green and white parts, thinly sliced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
1 serrano chile pepper, finely chopped (and seeded, if desired)
4 cups grated carrots (about 8 medium carrots)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground coriander
¾ teaspoon ground turmeric
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
Zest of 1 lime and juice of ½
¼ cup roughly chopped cilantro
½ cup panko or coarse bread crumbs
Directions:
Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a large, lidded sauté pan over medium heat. Add the scallions and cook until they just begin to soften, about 2 minutes. Add the garlic, ginger, and chile and stir for 30 seconds, until fragrant. Stir in the carrots, salt, coriander, turmeric, and cinnamon. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, until the carrots are soft but not mushy.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, peanut butter, lime zest and juice. Stir in the carrot mixture and the cilantro. Fold in the panko. Let stand for about 10 minutes, so the panko soaks up some of the moisture. Adjust seasonings. Shape into 4 patties, about 1/3 cup each.
To cook, warm a wide skillet over medium heat, then add the remaining oil. Add as many burgers as will fit comfortably without crowding the pan (usually 3 burgers will fit into a 10-inch, and cook until browned and crisped on the bottom, 5 to 7 minutes, then flip and repeat on the other side. The burgers will firm up a bit as they cook, and further once they’re removed from the heat and have cooled slightly. Serve warm.
Watermelon and Citrus Salad. Make this salad when watermelon is at its peak, sugar-sweet and juicy. (Photo by Evi Abeler)
Watermelon and Citrus Salad
Vegan, gluten free
Makes 4 servings
The headnote says: “Make this salad when watermelon is at its peak, sugar-sweet and juicy. I prefer basil to the fresh mint typically used in watermelon salad, but feel free to use mint instead.”
Ingredients:
Vinaigrette:
¼ cup fresh orange juice
Juice of 1 lime
1 tablespoon red or white wine vinegar
Mustard
1 shallot, sliced into rings
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground white pepper
Directions:
To make the vinaigrette, combine the orange juice, lime juice, vinegar, mustard, shallot, salt and pepper in a small bowl or jar. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Salad:
2 oranges
6 cups watermelon, cut into 1-inch cubes
¾ cup thinly sliced fresh basil
½ cup toasted sliced or slivered almonds
½ cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
Olive oil, for drizzling
Directions:
Slice off the top and bottom ends of the oranges and place the flat bottom on a cutting board. With a sharp chef ’s knife, cut off the peel in strips all the way around the orange, following the curve of the fruit. Slice the oranges into ¼-inch-thick rounds.
Arrange the watermelon and orange over a platter, then drizzle with the vinaigrette. Just before serving, garnish with the basil, almonds and feta cheese, if using, and drizzle with olive oil.

The annual company picnic is this Sunday, and so far the setup has all gone quite smoothly. We were able to reserve the "good" picnic area, the weather forecast is perfect, and we're expecting a large turnout from all of our offices.
We've got a catering company set to come out and BBQ on-site, with an ice cream truck stopping by a few hours later. We're also doing a tie-dye event with company shirts for everybody.
The one tricky part has been our selection of halal food, since the restaurant where we used to get the halal fried chicken went out of business. According to the person who lives near there, it was replaced by another halal fried chicken restaurant and that one went out of business, too.
We've found an acceptable substitute -- a halal fast food chain that we can have deliver directly to the picnic -- but I very much would have preferred getting the good stuff (At the last picnic, everybody preferred the halal fried chicken over the chicken grilled on-site by our catering company).
Hopefully things go smoothly.
#I'm still salty about last year: I cancelled it day-of due to the weather and the it stopped raining AT START TIME.#My work#Picnic#Company Picnic

Webkinz Recipes By The Cuddly and Snuggly Teddy Bears!
OOPS ALL CARBS (I swear this wasn't on purpose im sorry). Comfort Foods for the Teddy Bears. Man, I wish these had plushie versions. Also, I haven't made one of these in a while; they are so fun tho. Anyway. Here we go!
"Jest The Best Bagel" Funny Face Mini Veggie Pizza (THE REST OF THE OWL. [sorry] Replace the bread flat things with bagels for authenticity. Also, you can make whatever faces you want; animal ones are really cute)
"Peanut Butter & Honey Sandwich" Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwiches (This recipe has butter in it as well, which I assume you can choose not to use for dairy purposes. Or not needing a refrigerator purposes)
"Choco Chip Waffles" Double Chocolate Waffles (The sheer amount of chocolate may kill you. Chocolate batter, chips and sauce. Worth it)
"Lasagna" World's Best Lasagna (Bold claim, Website. I always forget how to spell lasagna. I guarantee I could not do it without spell check, but to be fair, I haven't eaten it much. There is about fifteen million lasagna recipes out there, so options abundant)
"Cinnamon Bun" Cinnamon Raisin Rolls (I almost forgot about the raisins! I was putting just a regular cinnamon roll recipe, until I looked at the in-game recipe again. Remembered now)
"Birthday Party Sandwich" Mac and Cheese Dogs (Um. This one has you make your own Mac and cheese, but feel free to take the boxed kind and put it with some boiled hot dogs between two white bread slices. Then turned into grilled cheese with chili. I don't know if this is making me hungry or sick. Maybe just do the recipe version...)
"Teddy Bear Porridge" Peanut Butter Kiwi Oatmeal (Peanut butter and oatmeal is pretty good tho. Also please shape the kiwi slices and maybe grab a few blueberries/banana slices if you got any. Also, I didn't know the difference between oatmeal and porridge; turns out oatmeal is a type of porridge. My ignorance, cured)
"Honey BBQ Chips" BBQ Sweetpotato Chips Recipe (HUNGRY. HUNGRY. I WANT THESE. I think I have a craving rn so I have zero other commentary. sweetpotato)
I recently got the Cuddly Teddy Bear for Black Friday to renew my account and I LOVE HIM. I'd get the Snuggly one next year if it wasn't a member only pet. RIP. (If you lose your membership, do these pets just get snapped how does this work)
Part 1: Dreamy Sheep
Part 2: Pink Poodle
Part 3: Cocoa Dinosaur and Marshmallow Bunny
Part 4: Midnight Monster
Part 5: Love Puppy
Does anyone actually read this far?
I kinda wish that we could still visit each others houses in Webkinz. I'm gonna make the Backrooms in my house. I'm really gonna. All those kinscash old furniture items fit. And the hotel theme. I'm ignoring the estore stuff because I'm cheap. I even named my Cuddly Teddy Lucky 'O Milk. His room is party themed. Thus, the inclusion of the Jester Bagel and Party Sandwich. Little secret there. Okay, now I should check to make sure all the above links go to the right places. Thanks.
Have a song.

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot
If there's any type of threshold for when a cuisine is fully adapted into American culture, making that cuisine all-you-can-eat is certainly one of them. Once upon a time hot pot and Korean BBQ were seen as an exotic meal but places like KPot off Capital Blvd has fast tracked it into awareness.
KPot is part of a chain of restaurant that has rapidly expanding across the US. With a few opened in North Carolina, the KPot location at the Capital Boulevard Shoppee plaza is the first one in the Triangle with more pending locations.
The concept is simple. You get two hours (you have a running clock on the tablet you order on) to cook as much meat as you can eat. Each table at KPot is equipped with a table grill and personal burners for hot pot. I find the personal burners a nice touch as it means that diners can have their own individual hot pot. You are provided the choice to choose just one cooking method, but having both hot pot and Korean BBQ is just a few more dollars.
The item options are plentiful and run the gambit from seafood to dumplings to beef. The service is attentive, maybe even over zealous, quick to replace your grill once char starts to build. But they are quick to come out with the ordered items and keeping drinks full.
Unlike some other Hot Pot or Korean BBQ places, there aren't any pre-prepared foods you can order from the kitchen (shout out to brown sugar rice cakes). But the items from the kitchen are fresh and well seasoned. Their selection of pork belly is noteworthy with smoke garlic being an item that is punched in with each order.
KPot does offer a sauce station with a buffet of banchon like treats and fried foods. Of course, those items are mostly a distraction from the main event.
Admittedly, when cooking on both the hot pot and BBQ, it an become almost too much like actual cooking as you try to manage and time each item cooking. But its a fun novelty to do at least once. But I won't feel bad next time just doing BBQ.
Sometimes the worry for All-You-Can-Eat places is that its a lesser version of a cuisine but KPot wasn't a diminished experience for either hot pot or Korean BBQ.

Exploring the UAE: 10 things to do in Umm Al Quwain
Even while Umm Al Quwain isn't the most well-known emirate in the United Arab Emirates, it does have some undiscovered jewels. There are numerous benefits to visiting, even for just one day, including outdoor activities and traditional Emirati culture. The following are the top 10 things to do while you're there after receiving your emirates visa for South African citizens.
Mangrove Beach
The picturesque setting in Khor Al Yeefrah, hitherto a hidden gem in the emirate, is currently being improved with things like thatched parasols, swings, a cafe, and BBQ spaces. For those who want to explore the diverse flora and fauna in the emirate's protected area, kayaks are available for rent, and on the weekends, a DJ spins music. Although there is a minor entrance fee for cars, the amenities, and the picturesque setting make the trip worthwhile. Already, people like to picnic there at dusk.
Kitesurfing
Get away to Kite Beach Center, where Bali and Zanzibar collide. The first licensed kitesurfing school in the emirate is located at this laid-back beach resort. All instructors are qualified by the International Kiteboarding Organization, and classes are offered for all skill levels. Although there is a little admittance fee (see the website for the most recent costs), it's a terrific place to spend the day relaxing in the sun and taking part in other water sports like kayaking or snorkeling. Additionally, visitors may stay overnight or rent cabanas for four hours, however, reservations are advised due to the busy season.
Tarzan Gym
This unique idea creates a space on the beach that resembles something that might appear in The Flintstones more so than a typical gym. This entertaining gym is tucked away in Kite Beach Centre and is made up of several wooden pieces of equipment. Giant wooden dumbbells, barbells, and monkey bars are just a few of the adult-only "toys" available, making it a fun spot to go with friends and one that looks great on Instagram.
Thunder Road Pizza & Grill
Although Dubai is frequently mentioned as the nation's culinary capital, Thunder Road is a true hidden gem. With hundreds of handcrafted cheeses, mouthwatering pizza, and, to top it all off, stunning ocean views from the patio, this Italian restaurant run by Italians will transport you to Italy. You must taste their handmade burrata. It's Italy meets the US with a pool table and kids' playground at the Barracuda Beach Resort, making it well worth the day trek up the coast. There is even a grocery store there where you can stock up on genuine Italian treats after applying emirates visa for South African nationals.
An abandoned aircraft
On the coast of the tiny emirate, an abandoned Russian cargo jet has become quite the attraction. The former skydiving airport is now home to the Barracuda Beach Resort, and the Soviet-era aircraft is visible from the E11 that leads to the hotel. It has been there for over twenty years. It is a fascinating location for aviation enthusiasts that was once cloaked in secrecy. We now know that the Ilyushin IL-76, sometimes known as "Candid" under NATO operations, originally flew for the Soviet Union in the 1970s to replace the equally illustrious Antonov 12.
Vida Beach Resort
The Vida Beach Hotel, the newest addition to Umm Al Quwain's tourist scene, enables pet owners to enjoy the emirate's lovely coastline without having to locate a sitter. The hotel is stylish and, as one would expect from Emaar, the attention to detail is excellent. It is one of many hotels that have seen a market niche for the growing number of staycation travelers in the nation looking to bring their pets with them.
Umm Al Quwain Fort and Museum – Fort Al Ali
The fort-turned-museum, one of the emirate's most cherished assets, provides tourists with a wealth of historical information. The Al Mualla royal family's founder, Sheikh Rashid Bin Majid Al Mualla, ruled Umm Al Quwain in 1768, making it the city's oldest historical structure. The fort was initially used as his residence and administrative center, but since becoming a museum in 2000, it has become a memorial to the history of the little emirate. Visitors can tour the property's former prison, weapon room, military room, and numerous other household spaces, providing a glimpse into construction methods used long before the contemporary UAE was created.
Siniya Island
Take a boat from the shore to Siniya Island, which is eight kilometers east of Umm Al Quwain, where the island provides a fantastic glimpse into the historical and ecological splendor of the emirate. Before relocating to the mainland 200 years ago, Umm Al Quwain residents first settled on the island. Visitors can see a variety of wildlife on the island, including birds like the Socotra Cormorant and the Arabian Gazelle. The island is known for its mangroves, ghaf trees, and desert flora and fauna. On the island, there are 65 different archaeological sites, including burials, building remnants, and towers.
Dreamland Aqua Park
Dreamland, one of the oldest water parks in the area, has established itself as a landmark. The park, which opened in 1997, is 250,000 square meters in size and has more than 30 rides, slides, and other attractions. Families can camp overnight or rent an air-conditioned cabana for a day to enjoy the park's beautiful gardens on the coast. This area is more than just a waterpark.
Labsah Camel Racing Track
Camel racing is one of the oldest Emirati customs and is popular with both royals and commoners. It is a unique event in the nation and gives locals an opportunity to show off their cherished possessions. This is where the more genuine aspect of the country can be seen, even though it's a little bit rougher around the edges than events like the Dubai World Cup. Weekends in the winter are often when races take place around the 4 km track. Watch this amazing camel race after getting your emirates visa for South African passport holders.

Unofficial Bluey Timeline: Part III
Welcome back to another installment in the UBT! In this week's post, we'll be discussing Episodes 11-15 of Bluey season 1. Can we get 10 notes?!?!?
Bike - Episode 11
Bluey learns to ride a bike.
Debuts and Details:
Episode introduces Bentley, one of Bingo's classmates, as well as Chloe briefly.
This episode focuses on Bluey's journey of riding a bike, to which she is still learning.
Episode takes place in a park, but not the same space as "Shadowlands". Could be a different park or different area in park.
Enjoyable episode that teaches us to not easily give up on ourselves, even when it feels hopeless. I like how the ending is open-ended, cuz it doesn't really matter that Bluey can ride her bike, but that she could.
Favorite Part: Muffin's meltdown
Bob Bilby - Episode 12
Bingo invites Bob Bilby for the weekend (🤯OMG A REFERENCE!!!).
Debuts and Details:
Obviously the titular "Bob Bilby" makes its debut, as well as.......... (in list of appearance)
Four unnamed parents that are assumed to be parents of Harley, Jasper G, Juniper, and Bentley (left to right).
Mrs. Retriever and her whole class (Buddy, Jasper W., Jasper J., Missy, Sadie, Harley, Juniper, Bingo, and Bentley).
Mrs. Terrier is mentioned to have taken Bob Bilby to Scotland. (This may be the same character as the Terriers' mum, but she won't be seen until season 3).
Frank, Chloe's dad, shows up near the shop (at least his head).
There is a mention of a Steve-O, one of Bandit's friends.
Bingo is seen incorrectly fastened onto her booster seat; this wouldn't change until season 2 after complaints.
Bluey is revealed to be a former student of Mrs. Retriever's, as evident by the fact she knew Bob Bilby from a previous visit.
Trixie is first seen alongside a red-tinted Stripe at the mall; this is later corrected during the firework scene.
Bluey is seen riding her bike a considerable distance, meaning she has learned successfully to bike, and the episode "Bike" has to happen before this episode. This may seem like a no-brainer, but in terms of the timeline, we must consider that certain eps HAVE to take place before others.
This episode spans the most amount of in-universe days so far, with a length of at minimum 4 days (accounting for a 2-day weekend)
One of the first episodes to contain plenty of information for the timeline. And what a fun episode it is. I love the bilby that is named "Bob", easily top 1 characters of all time.
Favorite Part: "Are you ready, Bob?" - Chilli (Why was she rizzing Bob like that?)
Spy Game - Episode 13
Bluey and friends struggle to maintain the game during a BBQ (OMG ANOTHER REFERENCE!!!🤯🤯🤯).
Debuts and Details:
Debut of Honey, her parents (Daisy & Marcus), and Mackenzie's mum.
There's an error during the "Honey's mum dancing" scene, where Bandit is at the grill when he's supposed to be at the restroom with Bingo. What's also interesting is that Frank is supposed to take his place from a previous shot, only to be replaced by Bandit in the aforementioned shot.
Bingo plays as "Sparkle Shot", yet Bluey doesn't use that name for her until the end (unusual🤔).
The first instance of Bingo busting (or bursting, I think it's the former)
I like how the episode attempts to teach the lesson the more traditional way with Bandit's demonstration, but even with it not working, the problem with Bluey and Bingo get resolved in its own way that still works.
Favorite Part: Anything with the guards, specifically when they block Frank from the sausage tray.
Takeaway - Episode 14
Bandit orders Chinese food.
Debuts and Details:
Debut of the "Takeaway Lady", the only other side character that shows up in this ep.
It's also the first mention of "Chutney Chimp", although there's an argument that the first sighting of the chimp was with Muffin's backpack in "Bike"
Bluey somewhat knows how to turn the water knob on, but doesn't know how to turn it off.
Bingo plays as "Tap Girl" when Bluey serves her food.
The second consecutive instance of Bingo busting; AND the first instance of a "Bush wee"
Bandit really likes his spring rolls
There's a possible scenario between this episode and "Daddy Robot" in terms of the timeline.
The takeaway they get in this episode is the same that Bandit is seen eating in the begginning of "Daddy Robot"
Or the takeaway that Bandit eats in "Daddy Robot" leads to them buying more in this ep.
Personally, I'd like to go with the former scenario, since there's not much that changes in terms of the timeline, and it helps keep things interesting in terms of placement. Theoretically, this ep could happen at any time, but its these connections that make the timeline interesting. Other than that, this is the "Trying to break Bandit's limits" episode, and I'm all for it.
Favorite Part: "If grown-ups grow from babies, and only grown-ups have babies, who had the first baby?" - Bingo
Butterflies - Episode 15
Bluey plays butterflies with other next door neighbor.
Debuts and Details:
This marks the debut of everyone's absolute favorite, Judo
Judo mentions a "Casper" during her phone call with Bluey, though no idea if this is pretend or real
Judo apparently has a thing against small children, which included Bingo until the episode's conclusion. This is strange given that Judo is seemingly an only child (although with the later season's tendency of introducing new siblings, it might not be the case).(It's probably from experience)
Bluey's school has a swing.
The backyard sandpit is missing throughout the episode [should be near the tree]
Great episode, but never understood the hate for Judo. Yeah she's rude here, but remember most of these characters are like 5-6-7 y/olds. And it's not like she doesn't like Bingo by the end. Honestly, this is why D+ needs to release "Dirt".
And with that ends another installment on the Unofficial Bluey Timeline. This batch has certainly brought up many details and scenarios for the season 1 timeline. Hopefully we get as much progress on next week's batch, as we cover more of Bluey's friends, a claw and a ball. As always, leave any comments about things I may have missed, and I'll see you next week.

Why a Leather BBQ Apron is the Ultimate Grill Master’s Essential
Grilling is more than just cooking—it’s an art. Whether you're a weekend warrior flipping burgers or a seasoned BBQ enthusiast slow-smoking ribs, the right tools make all the difference. And while many people focus on getting the best grill or the finest cuts of meat, one crucial piece of gear is often overlooked: the BBQ apron. A high-quality apron, especially a leather BBQ apron, is an essential piece of equipment for every grill master. It not only provides protection from heat and spills but also adds a touch of professionalism and style. In this blog, we will dive into why a leather BBQ apron, like the one from Chuakoo, is the ultimate tool for grilling success.
1. Durability: Built to Last
One of the most important qualities to look for in a BBQ apron is durability. Leather aprons stand out in this regard due to the inherent toughness of the material. Unlike fabric aprons, which can tear, stain, or wear out over time, a leather apron can withstand the rigors of grilling for years.
Take the Leather BBQ Apron from Chuakoo, for example. Made from premium leather, this apron is built to endure high temperatures, grease splatters, and heavy use. The leather doesn’t absorb stains like fabric aprons do, making it easy to wipe clean after each grilling session. Additionally, leather ages gracefully, developing a rich patina over time that adds character and style.
Whether you're grilling every weekend or only on special occasions, investing in a durable apron like this ensures that you're not constantly replacing flimsy fabric aprons.
2. Protection from Heat and Spills
Safety is a top priority when grilling, and a leather BBQ apron offers superior protection compared to fabric alternatives. Grills can reach extremely high temperatures, and an apron made from leather provides a reliable shield against heat, reducing the risk of burns. Leather's natural heat resistance means it won't catch fire easily, and it protects your clothes and skin from hot grease, coals, and embers.
Furthermore, grilling is often messy, with sauces, oils, and marinades flying around. A leather apron offers excellent coverage, ensuring that no matter how many spills occur, your clothes remain clean and protected underneath. For anyone who takes their grilling seriously, a leather apron is a functional and necessary piece of equipment.
3. Style: Look the Part of a Grill Master
Functionality aside, let's not ignore the fact that leather aprons just look cool. There’s something undeniably stylish about putting on a well-crafted leather apron before you step up to the grill. It exudes confidence, professionalism, and a commitment to the craft of grilling.
Unlike typical fabric aprons, which can often appear plain and utilitarian, a leather BBQ apron has an air of sophistication. The Leather BBQ Apron from Chuakoo is not only highly functional but also a statement piece. With its sleek design and rich texture, this apron adds a rugged, refined touch to any grilling outfit. Whether you're hosting a backyard BBQ with friends or preparing a feast for a special occasion, wearing a leather apron elevates the entire experience.
This isn’t just an apron for men—leather aprons are also popular with female chefs and grill enthusiasts. The rising trend of aprons for women in the kitchen and at the grill means that a leather BBQ apron makes a stylish and practical choice for everyone who takes cooking seriously.
4. Practicality: Features That Enhance Your Grilling Experience
While leather BBQ aprons offer style and protection, they also come packed with practical features that can enhance your grilling experience. The Leather BBQ Apron from Chuakoo comes with multiple pockets, making it easy to store your grilling tools, thermometer, or even a bottle opener. This convenient feature means that everything you need is within arm’s reach, so you won’t have to constantly step away from the grill to grab your tools.
Moreover, leather aprons offer adjustable straps that allow for a custom fit. This ensures that the apron stays securely in place, providing you with full range of motion while protecting your clothes and skin from heat and mess.
Unlike thin fabric aprons that can shift or bunch up during use, a well-fitted leather apron stays in place, giving you peace of mind while grilling. Additionally, leather aprons are generally heavier than their fabric counterparts, which adds to their durability and ensures they don’t get blown around by the wind during outdoor grilling sessions.
5. Versatility: More Than Just a BBQ Apron
A leather apron isn't limited to just grilling. Its durability, heat resistance, and stylish design make it a versatile tool in any chef's arsenal. Whether you're using it for outdoor grilling, smoking, or even in the kitchen for cooking or baking, a leather apron is a multipurpose item that can be used for a variety of cooking tasks.
For those who enjoy cooking both indoors and outdoors, the Leather BBQ Apron offers a consistent level of protection and convenience in all environments. It’s not just a chef apron for grilling; it’s the perfect companion for any cooking activity that involves heat, sharp tools, and the potential for spills.
6. Easy Maintenance and Care
While leather aprons may seem like a high-maintenance option, they are surprisingly easy to care for. Leather naturally repels spills and stains, making clean-up as simple as wiping the apron down with a damp cloth. Unlike fabric aprons that need to be washed regularly, leather aprons don’t require frequent cleaning, making them a practical choice for regular use.
Additionally, with the proper care, leather only gets better with age. Using leather conditioner occasionally helps keep the material soft, supple, and free from cracks. A well-maintained leather apron will not only last for years but will also look even better over time as it develops a unique patina.
7. Why Every Grill Master Needs a Leather BBQ Apron
If you’re serious about grilling, you need the right gear to back you up. A leather BBQ apron is one of the most valuable investments you can make for several reasons:
Durability: Built to last through years of use, heat exposure, and grilling mishaps.
Protection: Shields you from high temperatures, grease splatters, and spills, ensuring your safety.
Style: Look the part of a true grill master with a rugged yet stylish apron that elevates your BBQ game.
Convenience: Practical features like multiple pockets and adjustable straps make grilling easier and more efficient.
Versatility: Useful for a variety of cooking activities, both indoors and outdoors.
The Leather BBQ Apron from Chuakoo embodies all of these qualities, making it the ultimate choice for any grill enthusiast.
Conclusion: Elevate Your Grilling with a Leather BBQ Apron
Every great grill master knows that the right equipment makes all the difference. A leather BBQ apron provides the protection, durability, and style that serious grilling demands. Whether you're a weekend hobbyist or a seasoned chef, investing in a high-quality leather apron ensures that you can grill with confidence and ease. The Ultimate Guide to BBQ Cleaning: Tips and Tricks for a Spotless Grill
Owning a BBQ is a delight for many Melburnians who relish the art of outdoor cooking. However, the joy of grilling can quickly turn sour if your BBQ is dirty or poorly maintained. Regular cleaning is essential not only for hygiene but also to ensure your grill performs at its best. In Melbourne, where BBQs are a popular choice for social gatherings and family meals, knowing how to properly clean your BBQ can enhance your cooking experience. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about BBQ cleaning in Melbourne.
Why Regular BBQ Cleaning is Important
Health and Safety
A dirty BBQ can harbor harmful bacteria and food residues that pose health risks. Grease buildup can cause flare-ups, which might ruin your food and even become a fire hazard. Regular cleaning helps mitigate these risks by keeping your grill sanitary and safe for cooking.
Enhanced Performance
A well-maintained BBQ functions more efficiently. Grease and food buildup can block burners and affect heat distribution, leading to uneven cooking. By keeping your BBQ clean, you ensure consistent performance and improve the quality of your grilled dishes.
Longevity of Your BBQ
Routine cleaning can extend the lifespan of your BBQ. Accumulated grease and grime can cause rust and deterioration of grill parts. By investing time in cleaning, you protect your BBQ from premature wear and tear, ultimately saving money on repairs or replacements.
Essential BBQ Cleaning Tools
Scrapers and Brushes
For removing stubborn grime, a good-quality grill scraper and wire brush are indispensable. These tools help dislodge food particles and grease from grates and surfaces.
Cleaning Solutions
Choose a cleaning solution that’s suitable for your BBQ type. There are various commercial BBQ cleaners available, but make sure they are non-toxic and safe for food contact. Alternatively, a mix of baking soda and vinegar can be an effective and natural cleaning solution.
Cloths and Sponges
Microfiber cloths and non-abrasive sponges are ideal for wiping down surfaces and ensuring all residues are removed without scratching.
Step-by-Step BBQ Cleaning Process
1. Pre-Cleaning Preparation
Before starting the cleaning process, ensure your BBQ is completely cool. Disconnect any gas supply if you have a gas BBQ. Remove the grates and other removable parts.
2. Cleaning the Grates
Using your wire brush or scraper, thoroughly scrub the grates to remove any stuck-on food particles. For a deeper clean, soak the grates in hot, soapy water, then scrub with a brush or sponge. Rinse and dry them before reinserting them into the BBQ.
3. Cleaning the Interior
Wipe down the interior of the BBQ with a cloth or sponge soaked in a cleaning solution. Be sure to clean the walls and bottom where grease may accumulate. For stubborn areas, a combination of baking soda and vinegar can help break down the grime.
4. Cleaning the Exterior
Don’t forget the exterior of your BBQ. Use a mild cleaner suitable for the material of your BBQ (stainless steel, cast iron, etc.) and a soft cloth. This will keep your BBQ looking as good as it performs.
5. Final Touches
Check the drip tray and clean it thoroughly to prevent any grease buildup. Once everything is clean and dry, reassemble your BBQ and it will be ready for your next grilling session.
Professional BBQ Cleaning Services in Melbourne
For those who prefer to leave BBQ cleaning to the experts, Melbourne offers a range of professional BBQ cleaning services. These services use specialized equipment and techniques to ensure a thorough clean, often extending the life of your BBQ and freeing you from the hassle of DIY cleaning.
Conclusion
Regular BBQ cleaning is crucial for maintaining a hygienic and efficient grilling environment. By following these tips and investing in the right tools, you can ensure your BBQ remains in top condition, offering you many enjoyable grilling experiences. Whether you choose to clean your BBQ yourself or hire a professional service in Melbourne, maintaining a clean BBQ is an essential part of outdoor cooking. Happy grilling!

As an avid BBQ enthusiast, I know the importance of having the right spare parts on hand to keep my grill running smoothly. Whether it's a replacement grate, a new burner, or a set of stainless steel cooking utensils, having access to high-quality BBQ spare parts online can make all the difference in the world when it comes to enjoying a great grilling experience.
The Importance of High-Quality BBQ Spare Parts
The quality of your BBQ spare parts can have a significant impact on the performance and longevity of your grill. Inferior parts can lead to uneven heating, premature wear and tear, and even safety issues. On the other hand, investing in high-quality spare parts can ensure that your grill continues to deliver consistent, delicious results for years to come.
Types of BBQ Spare Parts Available Online
When it comes to finding BBQ spare parts online, the options can be overwhelming. From basic replacement parts like grates and burners to more specialized items like rotisserie kits and smoker boxes, the online marketplace offers a wide variety of products to choose from. Some of the most common BBQ spare parts available include:
Grates and Cooking Surfaces
Burners and Ignition Systems
Valves and Regulators
Hoses and Connectors
Thermometers and Temperature Gauges
Rotisserie Kits and Smoker Boxes
Cleaning Supplies and Accessories
Factors to Consider When Buying BBQ Spare Parts Online
When shopping for BBQ spare parts online, it's important to consider a few key factors to ensure that you're getting the best possible value for your money. Some of the most important things to look for include:
Compatibility: Make sure the spare part you're purchasing is compatible with your specific grill model and size.
Material Quality: Look for parts made from high-quality materials like stainless steel, which are more durable and resistant to corrosion.
Warranty and Customer Reviews: Check the manufacturer's warranty and read customer reviews to ensure that you're getting a reliable, well-made product.
Shipping and Delivery Time: Consider the shipping time and cost, especially if you need the part urgently.
Price and Value: Compare prices across multiple retailers to ensure you're getting the best deal on the quality of part you need.
Tips for Choosing the Right BBQ Spare Parts
When it comes to selecting the right BBQ spare parts, there are a few key tips to keep in mind:
Measure Carefully: Ensure that the spare part you're purchasing is the correct size and fit for your specific grill model.
Consider Material Quality: Opt for parts made from durable, rust-resistant materials like stainless steel or cast aluminum.
Look for Reputable Brands: Stick with well-known, trusted BBQ brands to ensure you're getting a high-quality product.
Read Reviews: Check customer reviews to get a sense of the part's performance, durability, and overall customer satisfaction.
Prioritize Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance of your BBQ spare parts can help extend their lifespan and ensure optimal performance.
The Benefits of Stainless Steel BBQs
One of the key advantages of investing in a stainless steel BBQ is the durability and longevity of the spare parts. Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, rust, and weathering, making it an ideal material for BBQ components that are exposed to the elements. Additionally, stainless steel parts are often easier to clean and maintain, further extending their useful life.
Common Misconceptions About BBQ Spare Parts
There are a few common misconceptions when it comes to BBQ spare parts that are worth addressing:
Cheaper is Better: While it's tempting to opt for the lowest-priced spare parts, this can often lead to poor quality and premature failure. Investing in high-quality parts, even if they cost a bit more, can pay off in the long run.
All Parts are Created Equal: Not all BBQ spare parts are created equal, and the quality can vary significantly between different manufacturers and materials. It's important to do your research and choose parts that are well-made and suited to your specific grill.
Maintenance is Optional: Proper maintenance and cleaning of your BBQ spare parts is essential for ensuring their longevity and performance. Neglecting this can lead to premature wear and tear, as well as potential safety issues.
How to Properly Maintain and Clean BBQ Spare Parts
Maintaining and cleaning your BBQ spare parts is crucial for ensuring their longevity and optimal performance. Here are some tips for properly caring for your BBQ components:
Clean Regularly: After each use, clean your grates, burners, and other parts with a stiff-bristled brush and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
Inspect for Wear and Tear: Regularly inspect your spare parts for signs of wear, such as cracks, holes, or corrosion, and replace them as needed.
Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply a small amount of food-grade lubricant to any moving parts, such as valves or hinges, to keep them functioning smoothly.
Store Properly: When not in use, store your BBQ spare parts in a dry, protected location to prevent rust and damage.
Follow Manufacturer Instructions: Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions for specific maintenance and cleaning recommendations for your BBQ model and spare parts.
Conclusion: Enjoying a Great BBQ Experience with High-Quality Spare Parts
In conclusion, investing in high-quality BBQ spare parts is essential for ensuring a great grilling experience and extending the life of your grill. By considering factors like compatibility, material quality, and customer reviews, you can find the perfect replacement parts to keep your BBQ running at its best.
