I don't know what happened but I fell into the Evka/Antoine pit overnight after rereading parts of Tevinter Nights, and there's only a handful of things when I search for them so I'm adding to that pile myself!!

They've appeared multiple times in short stories and even the comics so I'm just waiting for DA4 stuff like "👀". Bioware pls give us the cute Wardens (preferably alive and well shjhfg but I'm expecting them to hurt me emotionally anyway bc this is DA after all, and there's been so much foreshadowing ;;v;;)

A Letter Dated Six Months Ago

If Rook is a Grey Warden:

Warden [surname],

If our calculations are correct―and none of us have gone astray―this letter should be at the inn where you and Varric are to meet Scout Harding. As with Varric, we worked with her before. She's a good scout and a good shot. We think you'll like her. Please tell her we say hello!

Anyway, to the point! It's probably best you've gone to work with Varric a while. Our superiors in the Wardens can't deny that the village is safe and the darkspawn stopped. But they are still not especially pleased with you. Or your methods. Or the people who helped with your plan. Evka and I have been given a somewhat remote assignment that no one else wanted. But we are no strangers to that! We've enclosed a list of addresses where you are most likely to reach us for the next few months. Should you need.

Finally, do not feel you are in exile. We know something of what Varric is after. When the world needs protection from malevolent forces―that's what Grey Wardens do! You're in the right place.

Be vigilant and stay safe.

y'know, in reference to Antoine's reply to that one Lords of Fortune dialogue at Lavendel ("The Wardens throw parties. Sometimes. Sometimes they're even fun."), entirely possible that the last time the Wardens threw a party and it was even fun was Evka and Antoine's wedding

Lethanavir has such a negative/pessimistic view of the Grey Wardens, in fact, it's so much that he wasn't surprised when he heard that the Mage who blew up the Chantry in Kirkwall was also a Grey Warden, he said something akin to, "Of course it was a Grey Warden. I bet his precious order is going to protect him from the consequences of this, and frame it as him 'fighting the blight.' somehow." To me, it's funny to role-play as someone who has such a cynical view of the Grey Wardens because I actually am fond of the Order.

I personally love both Davrin and Anders, and I always let them live in my playthroughs, so it actually kind of hurts to play someone who actively holds such disdain towards the Grey Wardens as a whole, even though it is not rational nor justified. I think that Lethanavir is justified to dislike my Hero of Ferelden though, because he was one of those Wardens he's worried about, aka the kind of Warden who used his status in the order to commit war-crimes during the Fifth Blight and act as morally reprehensible as possible.

Furthermore, I think that he grows to not only trust in Davrin, but also to get to trust in Evka and Antoine, and he sees that some Wardens are good people. It didn't help the Wardens' case that his first meeting with someone from the Order was the First Warden, because it already set the expectation in his mind that every single Grey Warden was going to be an unrepentant asshole with no redeeming qualities, as well as being a single-minded individual who's boorishly committed to "fighting the Blight" even when the circumstances of the Blight being faced are different.

Man I bet Antoine helps braid Evka's hair every morning. She could absolutely do it herself in half the time, but she knows he loves to play with her hair as much as she loves him playing with it. Just imagine both of them all sleepy talking about the day to come, and Antoine just leaning forward to press a little kiss to her cheek because she's just everything to him, and Evka turning her head so he can press one to the other cheek too.

Wardens Evka & Antoine continue orbiting in my brain (now joined by the new cast from yesterday's trailer). I hope we see these two in some form again!

Also very light shade thrown at those knockoff doppelgangers in The Missing sdhjfg except Evka's goofy "everything's going to shit" grin was actually kind of endearing

Okay, but Antoine getting sick or injured and being nursed back to health by Evka would be adorable.

Antoine doing the same for Evka would be cute as well, but I'm specifically picking on Antoine because he has gotten hurt or has greatly concerned his wife in 3/4 of the pair's appearances.
