Neve and Harding had a bet on whether the two would get together before they killed the gods. Neve was convinced they would while Harding thought Neve was CRAZY. (Bellara was just an excited bystander)

When Taash joined the group they sided with Neve preeeeetty quickly on this issue (I mean...do you smell them??!)

Teia LOVED Rook and knew she was perfect as soon as she met her (ESPECIALLY after she helped arrange Caterina's funeral) but didn't know if Lucanis would ever gather up the courage to ask her out.

Viago and Illario thought Teia was crazy. Viago attributed it to Teia just wanting Rook around more because she's nicer than everyone else.

Harding would get annoyed at Neve because she would keep trying to get the two of them to do Lighthouse chores together

Out of all the companions Emmrich shipped them the most

Rook and Lucanis don't know how lucky they are because Taash was THIS close to bashing their skulls together

Taash tried to get tea from Spite (while Lucanis was sleepwalking) but then had to explain what dating was to him, which just made the conversation all the more chaotic.

Many times when Rook and Lucanis would have a conversation in the kitchen or outside Bellara would be trying to listen in

In fact the Veilguard found out they got together when Bellara caught Rook giving Lucanis a peck on the cheek after PAYEYA (Rook swore she heard a creature squeal outside the kitchen that night).

Lucanis was very worried when Harding was staring daggers at Neve during breakfast the next day. Rook said she heard something about a bet but didn't know what it was about.

Neve used the bet money to buy a new hat

Since Rook and Lucanis got together Taash's blood pressure has lowered significantly

Davrin didn't find out until drunk storytime

I've always seen Spite's wings during the romance cutscene more of a Spite going "these two assholes are never getting separated ever again, and I'll protect them from the world" rather than anything sexual.

In the beginning, Spite uses Rook's concern to mock Lucanis, laughing that finally someone actually cares about him, and who knows what else off-screen. Then in the end he's furious at Solas for hurting Rook. His distrust and wrath towards Solas is directly tied to the fact that the wolf hurt Rook (and Lucanis, if romanced). Solas offers him freedom, something Spite longed for after he was forced into this new world, and his immediate response is "lol fuck you".

Idk I'm an aroace Spite truther. I do get it. People want that threesome. But I am a sap at heart and I love Spite's character development and the fact that he's grown to actually care and is willing to go to war for the two chucklefucks in his new life. I think it's boring to reduce it to just threesome/sexy content.

the “and now, i die.” line from rook during weisshaupt is one of the funniest lines in the game because it represent how much they are that guy (tm) that just showed up. they know how ridiculous it is that their trying to fight an elven vape cloud god and it’s neo pet. they just are like “well fuck it, we ball”

Obsessed with the mileage you can get out of Dellamorte cousins biblical comparisons. Illario is Cain is Judas is Abraham, is jealous is the betrayer is the murderer. You think they're immature and unrealistic and the most unlikeable character ever because they were mean to their overbearing mother that one time and the only reason they exist is the be trans and you're mad you don't get to be super mean to them in game. I don't care. I relate to them. I relate to their bluntness and misunderstanding of social cues as an autistic person. I relate to their hyperfocus on their gender while they're figuring it out as an agender person who struggled to feel comfortable in myself until i had words for what i was feeling. I relate to their hostility twords their mom who trained them to be nothing more than what she thought they should be. They're not "bad representation" just because you dont relate to them. Not everything has to be for you. Shut the fuck up about taash.

Y'all I love Assan, don't get me wrong. He's a little sweetheart and I cherish him. However, the way a lot of y'all reduce Davrin down to just "Assan's Dad"™ is so fucking annoying. It's almost to the point where I wish Assan didn't exist as a character.

I've seen people try and say that Davrin "doesn't have a personality outside of caring for Assan" which is just... Completely wrong. He's extremely multifaceted from his care for Assan, to his dedication to the Wardens, to his love of the hunt, to his borderline paranoia that he's going to either die a hero or outlive his friends, to his self-destructive view of himself in a relationship, and even just how he treats Rook and the other companions.

What's even stranger to me is that he is 100% the guy that would like dom you but he gets no attention. If you asked him to he would probably degrade you because he knows you like it. He would probably be controlling, and manhandle you, and all of that shit that people (especially straight women) in fandom thirst over to the point of mischaracterising other characters for it. And yet I see almost no one talk about him outside of Assan and like "ooo I ship him with Lucanis because enemies to lovers and I can only think about Davrin in relation to other characters!"

And you know what. I'm just gonna come out and say it. I genuinely think it's because he's black. That's it. He's a fucking amazing character, and is the exact type of guy so many people would thirst over. But because he's black it's crickets. Pull yourselves together.
