Finally watched Gretel & Hansel. I wondered why I misremembered the poster as having the witch pull a string of teeth out of her mouth, then I realized I confused it with an American Horror Story: Roanoke poster.

Honestly, G&H’s scares me more. The implication Holda swallowed whole children including hair is way more terrifying than anything on the AHS poster: “So hungry was I to realize my own powers, I hardly chewed.”

The subject wasn’t even an actual character on the show. We don’t know where she got all those teeth. Maybe she grows them on her nails and they just loosen like baby teeth or they’re worn down like rabbits’. If not, and the most unusual thing about her is that she has twelve fingers, that’s not scary.

Why does everybody has to try to reinvent a great story into some bullshit? 🫠 It reminds me a lot of the 'Creepy Tales' game series

yo this has been bothering me for years WASN’T there like a really short period of time RIGHT before the big cottagecore boom of late 2019-2020 but after the term started getting traction where instead of meaning “aesthetics themed after farms and rural life” it meant like. some kinda weird combination of mori kei/mori girl fashion and like. being a bog witch who lives alone in the middle of the woods in a broken down shack. am i crazy or wasnt there like a few months where thats what people were referring to when they said “cottage core”
