It starts with a phone call in the middle of the night, Amelia panicking so much that Gregory can't understand her, at least until she says "Greg, I'm pregnant!" It's not his, he knows that because he's gay and she's gay and she has a wonderful girlfriend named Dinah that she loves, but some small part of him wants to ask if it is anyway. He slips out of the party he was planning on getting so high at that he forgot everything except the taste of some dude's mouth on his own, and he drives over to Amelia's place to talk her down. She's pregnant, the test on her bathroom counter confirms it, and she doesn't know what to do, because she can't be pregnant, she and Dinah have been so careful with condoms and birth control, but there was that one time during Pride where they maybe hadn't been so careful, Dinah glowing from being around so many trans people just like her, and then, two months later, Amelia's pregnant. "What's the plan?" he asks, sitting on the bathroom tile with her as she sniffles. "Do you need a ride to a clinic or to Babies R Us?" "I want to keep it," she says, "but my parents will not accept that my trans girlfriend knocked me up, not if I want to keep my inheritance. They're okay with her being a woman, but not that she wasn't born a woman, so - I don't know what I'm going to do." "Well, what if we said it was mine?" Gregory offers. They've joked for so long that they might as well just get married to each other to make it easier on their families. "We say that we've been dating quietly for a while, and we're expecting a child so we're going to get married. Our parents would die of happiness, we get them off our backs, we can have Dinah live with us, and we can have the family we've always wanted, where we get to choose our own happiness." "Greg, that's -" "Genius," he says. "Insane is what I was going to say." "Think about it, Ames. Our parents would be thrilled. We could get a house big enough for the four of us, Dinah could move in, and this kid would be so loved. So loved. They could be or do or love whoever they want, and they'd never have to grow up like we did, like Dinah did." They announce their engagement and their wedding plans, a small ceremony hosted at the Sheffield's mansion with just their family and a few close friends, a few weeks later, before Amelia starts to show. They find a house that's suitable, and with both of their trust funds, it's the easiest choice they've ever made, and when their daughter is born, she is given the Gerwitz name. Charlotte Frances Sheffield Gerwitz is born on a damp March afternoon, and she's perfect, with a full head of dusty brown hair and dark blue eyes, all ten toes and all ten fingers, and she is so loved, so so loved, by all three of her parents.

I really love reading people's hcs, especially if it's abtmy special interests. so i was wondering if you have any from the real world (y'know; sheffield, o'brien, real argilla and others ((I'M VERY NORMAL ABT O'BRIEN ">:D

it mostly comes down to sheff and o’brien since everyone else has like next to no complete info or are uber similar to their ai counterparts but i have a few!! sorry if this isn’t the longest list.

-i mentioned in a previous post greg being a dog trainer but i also see him as doing a thing i see a lot of people at my local dog park do, being using the river as a way to train dogs to swim and retrieve things underwater. there’s also dog walkers who specialize in handling big off leash groups!!! just saying there has to be a reason his name is lupa and i will make up every reason possible as to why sob sob

-that or he has experience as a farmhand. i believe he’s a country boy mostly bc of my experience when i worked at a doggy daycare (there were a ton of people who had hunting dogs or some country adjacent fit i don’t even live in the south how are so many of them like this it must be some sort of requirement)

-bro would own an anatolian shepherd or three. fred was quite literally raised by wolves,,,, and by that i mean dogs meant to fight off wolves and bears (maybe he also has a malamute i mean close enough)

-fred is a roblox and fortnite kid

-if roland counts in this regard he gives me moe szyslak vibes so i do think he shares a lot of traits with him jdgnfsgnoyfgjh

-there was this one time @goatwithaplan made a post about atma avatars as animals and because of it i can’t see roland without thinking of bovines or goats or rams. he would have a pet goat.

-sheff is obsessed with true crime and medical shows. probably also would get a kick out of terrifier 1 and 2

-the weird cringe relationship with o’brien is real. they both hate one another for different reasons but god be damned they also have reasons to love one another. they never go on any real dates or say they’re boyfriends they just occasionally fuck.

-sheff flirts a lot. with everyone his age. nobody is safe. not even if you’re married.

-i have like. a nsfw one i’m too afraid to share (i don’t like getting nsfw) but there’s no fucking way sheff isn’t into particular somethings and absolutely annoys o’brien with them (both are consenting i swear)

-o’brien had a growth spurt in his sophomore year of high school. every bit of casual clothing he has is from around that time. maybe he forgets to actually replace them or maybe he doesn’t care.

-sheff has no fashion sense whatsoever and is a cringefail loser

-he has two pet rats who may or may not be named after a certain famous pair of cartoon rats

-constantly goes to shady bars because he would be that guy

-he gets told to shut up constantly. he refuses to. in fact, this makes him worse.

going back to the high school musical mention every weekend someone working on the god project hosts a movie night and yet at least once a month someone asks to watch high school musical 2 or some other dcom

-nobody likes margot. somehow sheffield is better liked. at least he has ✨“personality”✨ (if being an annoying twink counts)

Li'l Mystrade Goes to the Theater

They've decided on a night out at a show. Birmingham is only a train ride away from London.

The show was great, about old friends reconnecting. They discuss the influence of popular culture in the bar after with a G&T (Mycroft) and cider (Greg). There's some kind of pub quiz about that ABBA band going on as well.

The Way Old Friends Do is now in Sheffield through April 15. Recommended!

Even if he was trying to blend in and avoid most of the direct attention, he would never complain about having friendly faces around him. Tideswell to Manchester

A very misty morning- how lucky were we to have a sunny Saturday afternoon as the rest of my stay in Tideswell was cloudy gray and now misty and as Jim Maxwell would day "mizzle".

After i checked out of the pub, Greg and I met for coffee and then went up to the house. Jake had woken from a nap and he hjas to be one of the happiest babies ever.

Quite a lot of time was spent playing with him before lunch and the three other children arriving.George today favouring his Sheffield Wednesday outfit . Mille a Bluey tshist and Sophie looking glamorous but how she wasn't feeling cold. Mind you we did have the gas fire on!

The UK 3 wanted another kitchen photo before I left and it will be interested to compare it with the one from July 2023 .

Mind you no one wanted to accompany Greg and me on the drive to the station as baby Jake is a lot more exciting. I told Bianca they have obviously have now drop down the pecking order in the will!!

The train into Manchester was fine and within an hour i was settled into my hotel room and repacking for an early departure tomorrow . I am on the 5:57am train to airport for thr flight to Barcelona.

An atmospheric, cavern-echoed 60s-style drum intro, part Ronettes’ Spector wall of sound, part nodding towards Twee-Indie Sarah Records darlings, The Springfields, stylishly rolls out my favourite tune on the Suncharms’ album, ‘Things Lost’.

A warm, British-Indie guitar riff hazily asserts itself, reminiscent of such UK luminaries as The Charlatans and The Bluetones. Complex, rich bass tones run in tandem, think the groove of Mani of The Stone Roses meets the more mellower moments of Greg Norton of Hüsker Dü.

Ethereal vocals glide and meander, shading in the already colourful sound-gamut, with Shoegazy tones riffing on Ride and Slowdive. The guitar and vocal intwine, wallowing in summery psychedelia with a background pater of drums akin to early Velvet Underground recordings.

Vivid vocal whispers and a chunky sound like Dave Gilmour colliding with Galaxie 500 guitar-hooks as this tune swirls, floating in a radiant sonic glow. A rumbling cavernous drum part once again appears, gently thumping this tune to a close.

The Suncharms have the gift of combining a pop song with plenty of hooks and bucketloads of atmosphere to create a sonically diverse earworm. ‘Daylight is Here’ is no exception and I highly recommend you listen to this and the entire album, ‘Things Lost’ through Sunday Records, on Bandcamp. ⭐️
