So a few weeks ago I did a trade with @izzycle who made some cute drawings for me, and I promised a fic in return! This was hella fun to write. Special thanks to @ryanthatsgay whose apprentice I borrowed without asking hhhhhhhhhh please love me

Word count: 1828

The sun beamed and its light refracted in all the crystals on the stall, and Ryan had to squint to protect his eyes. There were so many… he wished Dion was with him, but the other apprentice didn’t feel like going out. He hadn’t been himself at all lately, and Ryan was worried for him.

His gaze lingered on a certain zoisite obelisk. He hadn’t seen one so beautiful before, and he was sure that Dion hadn’t either. On impulse, he bought it and stuffed it in his already too full bag. Maybe it was going to help cheer Dion up.

As he was passing by the oils and soaps stalls, an idea popped in his mind. Maybe his lover just needed a little more attention and love in order to come back to his usual self. He walked confidently to a seller and she welcomed him with a smile.

“How may I help ya?” she asked, the words rolling off her tongue as if they were magic.

Ryan lifted his eyebrows in surprise – he had only heard Asra talk like that before. “I am looking for something with a soft perfume, that would relieve anxiety and maybe also moisturize the skin? It doesn’t have to be only one product – I was thinking maybe a bath bomb and some oil? And a nice shampoo too?”

The seller closed her eyes and thought for a bit before reaching to the bottles on the stall. “Lavender, chamomile and lemon balm for the bath bomb. Vanilla for the body butter – I like it better than oil when it comes to anxiety – and lemon balm and apricots for the shampoo. The sweet smell of apricots and vanilla always calms me down. Or if you don’t like that…”

“No, it’s good. I would have chosen the same,” Ryan answered with a smile.

The seller offered him the bottles in a little linen bundle, and told him to come again if he ever needed anything, then winked. Ryan tried to hide the faint blush in his cheeks, but her smile assured him of his failure.

The bell chimed when he entered the shop. Asra was tending the counter, but Dion was nowhere in sight.

“He’s sleeping. Or at least said he was going to sleep. He’s been a little off lately, don’t you think so?” Asra asked as he reached for Ryan’s bag and started putting herbs and jars on the shelves.

“I noticed too. So I got him something nice and I was thinking… do you think we could close the shop early tonight? Spend some extra time with him? I got some bath stuff, and I was thinking you could cook his favorite dinner and fetch some pumpkin bread.”

“That’s a wonderful idea! Come here, you deserve a kiss,” he said and reached over the counter. Ryan chuckled and kissed him back, but pulled away first. “Do you think we should have a picnic? You know how Dion loves being in the forest.”

“We can do that. Look, if you go now for the squash and bread, we can leave in an hour or so. And when we’re back we can have that bath.” “I’ll be back in no time,” Ryan winked and blew Asra a kiss.

Preparations didn’t take long – and quite soon everything was packed in a basket and covered with a cotton napkin.

“You should go wake him up,” Asra said. “And show him the zoisite too.”

Ryan climbed up the stairs with catlike steps and pushed the door to their bedroom open. Dion was curled up in bed, Faust snuggled to his chest. His eyes fluttered open as soon as Ryan entered.

“Hi there, love. How was your nap?”

“I couldn’t sleep. It feels… something feels wrong.”

“I noticed. So I got you this!” Ryan said as he revealed the green and pink obelisk. “And Asra and I have prepared a little surprise for you,” he continued as he gave Dion the crystal.

His hands wrapped around the cold and smooth surface and he smiled. “This one seems to sing to me. Thank you. Also… surprise you said?” “Yes, we’re going to have a picnic. So put on some clothes so we can go, alright? You’re gonna love it.”

Dion got up and started putting clothes on, his movements both slow and curious. When he finished, Ryan offered his arm and they both walked out.

“Ready for an adventure?” Asra asked and latched his free arm with Dion’s.

“I-I guess,” he said and smiled shyly.

The cobblestone felt warm under his bare feet, the last bits of the day’s heat swept away by a calm wind as the sun was setting down. They walked to the forest and to their favorite clearing in silence, and Dion seemed a little less anxious with each step they took away from the city.

“Well, this is it. Ryan, if you’re so kind, can you put up the fairy lights as I lay the blanket?”

Little magic lighting bugs erupted from Ryan’s hands and filled the clearing with their dance as Asra laid down a blanket.

“That’s… the one I crocheted for you to take on your travels, isn’t it?” Dion asked as he sat down.

“It is! It’s my favorite one, I always have it with me. It reminds me of you,” the magician said as he sat down, crossed his legs and started pulling food and bowls out of the basket.

“The bread is still hot,” Ryan noticed as he took a knife and started cutting thick slices.

“A little magic here and there, to make sure my boys only get the best,” Asra smirked and started pouring soup in three bowls.

Dion inhaled deeply. “Is this… spiced butternut squash soup? And is that fresh bread and butter?” he continued as his eyes lit up.

“It is! I knew it was going to make you feel better,” Ryan said with a smile as he put butter on a slice of bread and offered it to his lover. “Here, eat. I barely saw you eat these days.”

It was true. With his anxiety on insane levels, Dion could barely force himself to eat. But something about the forest and his lovers helped him feel better. He started eating, and hunger hit him halfway through the first serving. To Ryan’s amusement, he asked for a second serving and nearly for a third one.

“Take it easy, my love, you don’t want to get sick and there’s also dessert,” Asra stopped him from getting another slice of bread with a chuckle. “Let’s clean this up before we take that out, shall we?”

With everything back in the basket, Asra took out three still steaming loaves of pumpkin bread and a little bowl of sweet cream cheese. If one’s eyes could change their shape based on their feelings, then Dion’s would have been heart shaped.

They finished eating and then laid on their backs to look at the sky, Dion’s feet not completely on the blanket, his heels touching the grass.

“Thank you for this picnic. I feel a lot better,” he said, his hands reaching to touch both his lovers. A warm hand ruffled his hair.

“Don’t worry about it, we just love you a lot. But we’re not done with the surprise yet,” Ryan said. “So whenever you’re ready to go back, there’s something more waiting for you.”

If it were after him, Dion would have spent eternity there. But in the end, curiosity won and he jumped to his feet. “Let’s go back, I think I’m ready.”

The way back was filled with Asra and Ryan teasing each other and Dion, making their usual dirty jokes and flustering Dion with their flirting. When they got back at the shop, Ryan pulled Dion by the hand to the bathing room.

“I got you some nice things from the market today. Asra will make tea and join us in a bit – I thought it would be nice to have a relaxing bath. We could chat and wash each other’s hair,” he started rambling.

Dion blushed a little at the thought, but shrugged it off soon. They were his lovers after all – a bath was going to be enjoyable.

As they waited for the bathtub to fill, they changed into their bathing robes and Ryan helped Dion wash his hair. The warm water turned the later into a pliant, soft figure, and when Ryan’s finger started washing his hair a little pleasure sound escaped his lips.

“That was nice, wasn’t it?” Ryan asked with a smile just as Asra entered the room. “I hope you’re not having too much fun without me,” he said as he put down the tea service and started changing into his bathing robes.

“Dear, how could we? You put the fun in everything,” Ryan teased him. “And you taught us everything we know!”

A deep flush covered Dion’s cheeks as he stood up and slipped into the bathtub.

“I have something more for you,” Ryan said and pulled up the bath bomb. “You liked the last one I got you, didn’t you?”

Dian’s eyes seemed to sparkle for a second. “I did,” he said as he dropped the pale purple ball into the water and watched it dissolve.

His posture was relaxed and happy, Asra noticed with pleasure as his fingers washed Ryan’s hair. Ryan had been right, Dion just needed a little extra love.

After they finished washing, they lounged together on the low bench and massaged each other’s skin with the body butter as they gossiped about what was happening at the Palace and in the city, as well as what they had heard from their clients. Dion felt himself warm and a little dizzy, sleep taking over his tired and finally relaxed body and mind.

“Should we go to bed now, my love?” Asra asked as he ran his fingers through Dion’s still damp hair.

“That would be nice, if we could.”

“Of course we can.”

With a flicker of his hand, Asra summoned a warm wind that dried their hair and clothes, pushing Dion even deeper in his drowsiness. They snuggled together in their bed, the cool sheets smooth against their bodies as they snuggled together. Faust slithered between them and wrapped herself around Dion’s shoulders, giving him a light squeeze. “Friend happy!” she chirped in their minds. Dion giggled and scratched her chin. “Yes, Faust, friend happy. Thanks to everyone – it really wouldn’t have been possible without you all.”

Asra and Ryan kissed both his cheeks at the same time, making him blush again. “You deserve to be happy, Dion,” Asra said.

“And we’ll do whatever we can to make you feel that way,” Ryan continued.

Dion smiled and wrapped his arms around both of them, pulling them closer to his chest before falling asleep with their arms around him.

He was happy, and he was lucky to have found a family here.

Currently researching DECIEM products because I really want to add them to my routine. But this is what I got thus far. The site is just SO confusing, with all the fancy names and ingredients.

NIOD is also a money pit, so once you dive into one product, I am sure you get the urge to get the whole lot. It is very much an investment, and will take me a long time to save for a bulk order (since they sell sets), or one at a time, while crying that I want the rest.

Hylamide;

SubQ Eyes; I have some serious dark eye circles, so I am always willing to try something to minimize this, and this looks interesting. I am slightly more interested in the NIOD version, but because of the pricing, would try this one first, unless I am feeling funds ballsy and jump into the other one first.

NIOD;

Copper Amino Isolate Serum; From reviews, this is supposed to be one of the best selling products from this line and concentrates on your overall skin's health. I confused it for the harmful copper, but this is supposed to be different, so after some research, I am more excited to try it.

Multi Molecular Hyaluronic Complex; I am assuming this contains the same ingredients as the Marine Hyaluronic and Hyaluronic Complex with B5 from my Google research, just into one bottle. May be worth purchasing this to bulk them together, instead of individual bottles. Seems to offer more benefit, even with the price tag, seems more cost effective in the long run. Since I seem to do fine with the MH, I will be replacing it with this, when I am done with the bottle. I can’t wait!

Modulating Glucosides; I have issues with sensitivity, irritation and itchiness, so this product seems interesting to help with those issues.

Flavanone Mud & Myrrh Clay & Mastic Must & Voicemail Masque; Fancy masks are fancy.

Lip Bio-Lipid Concentrate; Looks like some serious lip oil treatment, and I do have some majorly chapped lips, despite my heavy water drinking. It may be because I am on diuretics.

Low-Viscosity Cleaning Ester and Sanskrit Saponins; Having released there own version of the double cleanse, I may give this a try - only if I have extra funds, and I am not enjoying my current routine.

Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid 30% Network; I am still confused about Vitamin C, and wonder if this is quite different, can use at same time, better, or worse then what I am using now, which is the COSRX Typle C Lightning Liquid.

Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate; May be an upgrade from the SubQ Eyes, and honestly, for the price, it better raise Jebus. If the other doesn't work, I may be desperate enough to attempt this one for my dark circles.

Non-Acid Acid Precursor 15%; Supposed to be an alternative to peeling without using acid. I am still up in the air about trying this one out, because I am afraid of trying the more serious peels.

Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist; Looks like a good, antibacterial, inflammation, hydrating mist. I was thinking of removing mists from my routine, since I can’t mist throughout the day because of sunscreen, but this actually looks like it would be more beneficial in conjunction with all the other products, even if used once during your regular routine.

Re: Pigment; This has mixed reviews and is quite pricey, but I heard good things about this particular line and would be willing to give it a shot, as I suffer from a lot of hyperpigmentation.

Chemistry Brand;

Hand Chemistry, Extreme Hydration Concentrate, Heel Chemistry, Hyaluronic Concentrate, HA3 Hand Hydrator, Retin-Oil;

The hydrating hand and body oils seem to be the only interest for me in this line. I suffer from severe dry hands during the winter that can lead to Dyshidrosis, if I don't treat it properly. I often break out two times a year in the winter with this. Otherwise, I never had any issues with body/hand dryness. So I may opt for these products during the winter. I do suffer from hyperpigmentation from acne scarring on my back, and other parts of the body from scarring (I did a lot of rescue work for cats). I feel the Retin-Oil may help with this - but honestly, I am a big tattoo buff, so everything for me will eventually be covered by tats, so I never really invested in body care in terms of visual appeal. I just use regular ole black african soap lotion, and or Gold Bond for Excema, worked just fine to help with any pain for dryness.

As for their “reduce hair” line - I would never be interested in that (face, leg, arm pits). I was born with lucky genes I guess - which is quite odd, because all of my female Filipino relatives had insane body hair. But me... never had that much hair growth in the first place. Then I was placed on Spironolactone, and that almost obliterated the little growth I did have. I am talking about, I can go six months without shaving my legs, and it looks like I haven’t shaved in two days - very minor hair growth!

Fountain; I honestly don't take supplements, I only recently decided to do a multi-vitamin and take zinc for my acne. I also do Kachava shakes, and that has a lot of good protein.

AB Crew; This honestly just overall confused me and I don't think I would use any of these products. Though the AB Carving Gel and Shredding Oil look interesting if you wanna strut your stuff along the water. I do have issues with cellulite and stretch marks, but I feel their aren't any topical products that could ever correct this issue, you would have to get it surgically done. Many products claim to rid these, but it is just not possible without a professional. I am sure with long term use, you can diminish it - as I tried to do once with coconut oil when it was all the rage - but I never saw much difference, even after a few years - I used pure virgin coconut oil as well.

Also Glossier's priming moisturizer is my holy grail but it's $25... :( if you want a cheap alternative to the Glossier moisturizer, PONS' face cream is super close in formula and results. It's not super oily but it will leave your skin hydrated and not dry

——@ skin anon: I also have sensitive skin & I recommend using either the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser OR a Cetaphil Facial Cleanser (I use the CeraVe one and it doesn’t dry your skin out at all. When using a facial cleanser, use one that doesn’t foam up because it dries tf out of your skin). For a moisturizer, I recommend the Klairs rich moist soothing cream (you can get it off of soko glam). it works for all skin types.——USE Belief’s Aqua Bomb moisturizer it’ll increase your skin’s water retention by 70% and Koreans love it, and the Koreans take their skincare routine religiously seriously. DON’T use clinique! It’s targeted for more older audiences and tbh they suck for dry skin people, also I got an allergic reaction from them and I’m not allergic to anything nor do I have sensitive skin so it says a lot.——For the moisturizing anon, I’ve used Clinique’s dramatically different moisturizing gel for years now and I love it. I don’t think it feels as heavy on my face as creams do, and it keeps my skin hydrated all day. Aveeno clear completion cream cleanser is really nice too! and as far as the dry skin coming off on your nail have you tried exfoliating, if you’re sensitive and dry making one from sugar and oil is good, or maybe look into St. Ives green tea scrub, I use the apricot one but it can be a but abrasive, I like that tho, its definitely a personal thing!!——

Abracadabra Bath Ballistic

Scent description: Sandalwood, Virginia cedar, vetiver, green melon (honeydew), grapefruit, black pepper and juniper.

Huh! I wasn’t really sure of what to expect of this one from the notes, and I am not a huge fan of melon scents, but I’m pleasantly surprised! This scent is both refreshing and relaxing. I do get a hint of the melon, but it’s pleasant and tempered by the dry, fragrant woods. Lovely.

In the Mystic Moonlight Bath Ballistic

Scent description: A delicious, spicy and creamy creation of cinnamon bark, grated nutmeg, cardamom and black peppercorn blended with pureed pumpkin, mahogany woods, whipped cream and vanilla bean. A personal "Harvest Moon" under the stars in your bath at your leisure.

Oh I love this! It’s super creamy and smooth. I get lots of fresh whipped cream, with a good bit of canned pumpkin (I mean this in the best possible way), and just the barest hint of spice (mostly nutmeg to my nose and not a lot of cinnamon). This is not a spice bomb. It smells like the best pumpkin pie. I’m going to have to stock up on this one!

Once Bitten Bath Ballistic

Scent description: Refreshing black grapes, zest of orange, black plum, berries, apple and pineapple drenched in chilled red wine make up this vampire's sangria!

This donut-shaped bath bomb looks and smells good enough to eat! I hated to use this one because it’s so pretty! It smells wonderful--like an autumnal fruit punch. I get a lot of juicy pineapple and some yummy grape notes. I would 100% recreate this punch. Delicious!

Witch’s Brew Bath Ballistic

Scent description:Just what the witches cooked up for Autumn!!Cardamom and cloves, complemented with herbal notes of bergamot, cannabis flower, jasmine, and rose which sit on earthy base notes of sheer musk, black tea, and patchouli and a wee touch of cinnamon bark.

This is a beautiful bath bomb--both in aesthetics and scent. I primarily smell the fragrant black tea and cinnamon--the result is like a warming chai spice scent. This is perfect for cold weather baths, and I will definitely be picking up more!

Autumn Leaves

Scent description: Autumn Leaves is made with a combination of fresh orange essential and clove oils. Such a beautiful combination of fruit and spice having plenty of body to leave you ready for the leaves to fall!

This soap is almost too pretty to use! I can’t get over how lovely it is. The scent is wonderful as well--fragrantly spicy clove and pops of juicy, zesty, realistic orange. It’s a lovely fall scent that will carry over well into winter for the holidays.

Boo! Artisan Soap

Scent description: Rich bourbon vanille absolute, Madagascar vanilla bean, ghosts and a faint whisper of marshmallows!

I don’t know what the heck is wrong with my nose, but what I’m smelling is nothing like the description! To my nose, Boo! is a Halloween candy bag filled with goodies (fruity, sticky gumdrops, lacquered lollipops, and caramel apples!) and a hint of cool night air. It’s super fun and happy!

Magic Spell Luxury Artisan Soap

Scent description: Black rose, patchouli, orange zest, vanilla orchid and cinnamon leaf.

This is a favorite of mine! I get equal measures of the smooth rose, earthy patchouli, and dry orange zest. It’s a moody and romantic blend.

Uluru Luxury Artisan Soap

Scent description: Rich Australian sandalwood and invigorating eucalyptus are a perfect match for a place called Uluru. Not only is it a spectacular natural formation, Uluru is a deeply spiritual place. You can feel a powerful presence the moment you set eyes on it.

Oh this is gorgeous. The sandalwood and eucalyptus combination smells super elegant to my nose--woody and fragrant, with a spa-like boost of zesty eucalyptus. Calming, relaxing, and elegant.

Scent description: In Syria, it used to be nearly impossible to walk down the streets without being engulfed by the fragrant aroma of laurel wafting from the corridors of soap factories and cobblestone alleys. Widely considered to be the first soap ever made, Aleppo soap is a centuries-old formula revered by people from all over the world for its soothing benefits and scent. Created in large batches, the all-natural soap is produced by mixing sodium hydroxide, laurel oil and olive oil in piping hot water. This is a gorgeous, creamy, luxurious, moisturizing soap. It is an absolute treat for the skin. The scent is interesting! It’s almost a bit smoky--like a sauna or spa with curls of incense smoke wafting about. I really love this and hope it will be available again.

My skin type is combination to oily, so my products may or may not fit with everyone’s skin, but here ya go! I believe in the less is more approach to skincare. I also don’t wear much make-up. I never liked or used foundation or bb creams; they dry my skin out and make me feel like I’m suffocating. I love a good moisturized dewy fresh face with minimal make-up.

To remover make-up or impurities I use (Farmacy’s - ‘Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm’). To really cleanse my face, in the am/pm I use (Youth To The People - ‘Kale + Green Tea Spinach Vitamin’). I’ll use an exfoliator (Glossier - ‘Solution’ Chemical Exfoliator) every evening to dissolve dead skin cells. After I clean my face, I use a serum (Glossier - Vitamin C/Magnesium’). Then I moisturize (Avène - ‘Skin Recovery Cream’, Bonajor ‘Green Tea Water Bomb Gel’). I LOVE a good face mask (Peter Thomas Roth’s - ‘Cucumber Gel Mask’). When outside I wear SPF (Biossance - ‘Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral SPF 30′). And of course I stay hydrated, inside and out.

I avoid exposing my skin to the chlorine, salts, pesticides & other potential chemicals in water that are irritants & 2: not strip the skin of its natural oils. An active sebum-producing skin type should NOT be stripped, or it will go into overdrive trying to “rebalance”. More oil then tends to lead to more acne. At 🌙 I reach for a cleanser designed for sensitive skin. Faves are from @glowrecipe @dermalogica @lancomeofficial @algenist @tatcha & @renskincareus . Would love to try @paulaschoice @biossance @olehenriksen @korres & @saturday_skin next bc they sound interesting. . 3️⃣Using a BHA to exfoliate 4 x week. I reach for @dermadoctor_skincare toner & @drdennisgross peels. 4️⃣Masking with French green clay or Indian healing clay 2 x week. . 5️⃣Hydrating with a Hyaluronic Acid serum (I alternate between @pcaskin hyaluronic acid boosting serum & @niod multi-molecular hyaluronic complex). Been using PCA for over 1.5 yrs, Niod for 4 months. ALL skin types need to be hydrated & keeping the skin hydrated will help control abnormalities. 6️⃣Using an oil free cleanser at 🌙. I ❤️ @belifusa aqua bomb but also had success w/ @tatcha the water cream & @glowrecipe watermelon pink juice. On the list of what I’d like to try there’s: @drbarbarasturm clarifying face cream, @clinique dramatically different hydrating jelly & @loccitaneusa aqua Reotier thirst-quenching gel. . 7️⃣When my skin is extra fussy, I mix 2 drops of tea tree oil with the moisturizer OR the DIY mix I reposted a week ago. An over the counter oil option I 💗 is @sundayriley UFO. . 8️⃣Not using the same complexion makeup brush twice. . 9️⃣Limited the intake of dairy. . 1️⃣0️⃣Cut down red meat & been following an anti-inflammatory diet. . 1️⃣1️⃣Getting an acne facial to kill bacteria @lotusmedicalgroup. . 1️⃣2️⃣Practicing yoga or stretching to help control stress. Annyeong haseyo! Battling acne is battling trouble everyday huhu. It’s so hard to be born with acne-prone oily skin. Especially if you live in a hot humid climate like the Philippines. You have to be extra careful with the products you use cause one wrong product could trigger not just one breakout but a whole face of trouble. Arggh!!! It’s a good thing if you find a compatible skin care line. Remember when I used to use the Maxi Peel line? It was going so great but then after a few months my skin got prone to it so it didn’t work wonders like it used to. Lucky for me I’ve found a replacement! Probably probably go switching these lines up to keep skin clear.

The Face Shop Clean Face Acne Solution Foam Cleansing (P695.00/ 150ml)

This cleanser is the bomb! It’s so refreshing and you get such a cleansed feeling afterwards. It foams up really well too! Thick and so nice! I use this after cleansing oils and this gets the cleaning job done cause whenever I follow up with my toner, I almost don’t see any left over foundation/ bb cream anymore. :)

This is the best BB Cream if you’re looking for something to control oiliness!!! Omo this product is such a dream!

The real downside of this is that it only has one shade. And that shade is soooooo light.

So I apply this all over my face lightly as a base. It makes makeup stay on longer and controls oil so wonderfully! It’s also good to be used even when working out cause it keeps skin looking and feeling fresh as it controls oil so wonderfully! Plus it’s non-irritating on the skin.

Currently loving this whole line (I think I have everything from this line! OMO But I will put the other night and morning spot correctors in a separate post). If you’re looking for an anti-trouble line that does not feel like you’re torturing your skin then the Clean Face line is perrrrfect! It gives nourishment to acne-oily prone skin and I really feel it working.
