Great Ocean Road, Australia: The Great Ocean Road is an Australian National Heritage-listed 240-kilometre stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia, between the Victorian towns of Torquay and Allansford. Built by returned soldiers between 1919 and 1932, and dedicated to soldiers killed during World War I, the road is the world's largest war memorial. Winding through varying terrain along the coast, and providing access to several prominent landmarks, including the Twelve Apostles limestone stack formations, the road is an important tourist attraction. The Great Ocean Road starts at Torquay and runs westward to finish at Allansford, near Warrnambool. Wikipedia.

Gibson Steps, Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia (2024)
—————————
I don’t know if anyone actually cares about anything I post on here, but I about the long break: just moved to a new country and have been struggling with finding some work, but I’m glad I got a day to go around and see what lies outside the city!

Great Ocean Road
Just as the Christian has his moments when the clamor of this visible and audible world is so persistent, and the whisper of the spiritual world so faint that faith and reason can hardly stick to their guns, so, as I well remember, the atheist too has his moments of shuddering misgiving, of an all but irresistible suspicion that old tales may after all be true, that something or someone from outside may at any moment break into his neat, explicable, mechanical universe.
Believe in God, and you will have to face hours when it seems obvious that this material world is the only reality; disbelieve in Him, and you must face hours when this material world seems to shout at you that it is not all. No conviction, religious or irreligious, will, of itself, end once and for all this fifth-columnist in the soul. Only the practice of faith will gradually do that.
~ C.S Lewis, 'Religion: Reality or Substitute' in "Christian Reflections", p.57

The Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road in Australia is a paradise for photographers. The 240 km long coastal drive offers breathtaking views of the ocean, rugged cliffs, and lush forests, with panoramic lookouts providing excellent photo opportunities. The Twelve Apostles, a collection of towering limestone stacks, is a highlight and is best captured during sunrise or sunset. Other notable attractions include Loch Ard Gorge and Gibson Steps.
