Oooh, this ask is fun! Okay, here I go:

Fact #1: In the Extra Pilgrim AU, whenever Yue isn’t working at Pigsy’s or being a magical girl heroine, she writes novels. Writing books has been her main source of income but she branched out recently since the modern world is safer for her.

Fact #2: In the Warlord Shanzha AU, the relationship among the Celestial Primates is actually a hugely debated topic amongst scholars. Tang is on the “Lavender Marriage” camp.

Fact #3: In the Withered Graveflowers AU, Macaque and RinRin might not like some things about the modern cities, but they do enjoy the food. They often go out on cute food dates whenever they’re not scheming against Wukong.

Fact #4: In the Detoxify AU, Wukong is so traumatized by what Azure did to him that he’s averse to nonviolent physical touch by anyone other than his subjects.

Fact #5: In the Fae AU, the original fae lords of the Autumn and Winter courts were Nuwa and LBD, respectively. While LBD was ripped apart after offending Wukong and RinRin, Nuwa faded from existence on her own. The only remanent of her is her son, a Changeling named Xiaotian.

Exalted Secret Santa 2024 Complete!

Thank you once again for participating, friends. This was one of our larger years, and I'd been a little nervous going into it, but it turns out to have gone smoother than any year in recollection on my part, with everything posted before the due date and no need for pinch hitters. I know at least a few of you battled through illness and packed schedules to get your pieces in, and once again I'm grateful you chose to spend your time and energy with us.

We had several newcomers, and the fresh styles and energy are always so welcome. We also had many artists back from previous years; it's a joy to have you.

Whether you were new to the exchange, an old hand, or an observer, I hope you'll take the time to check out all the submissions and enjoy everyone's sick characters and great art.

For withered grave flowers does it end bad?

I kinda had an idea that Shanza and Wukong are just platonically married and took Yue away from the LoES in the AU. On the flipside Macaque and Rinrin are so deep in their resentment that they fail to see the picture. In the end they both permanently lost Wukong(socially) after they hurt Yue when trying to get to MK.

Depends on what you believe is "bad." This AU is very Shadowflower-focused and the theme is "revenge power couple" while Wukong is at the side thinking "hot."

Shanzha and Wukong's marriage isn't platonic (since this AU is set in the Shanzha Route). They just don't have that same spark as they did when they started out. There was also the ghost of Macaque hanging in between them that made things difficult.

So, they had a break. Wukong stayed in FFM and Shanzha ran LoES until Macaque and RinRIn got Yue involved and summoned her back to the area.

(Ironically, Shadowflower's return kinda rekindled their relationship?)

When it comes to the relationships outside of Shadowflower and Icepeach, things are...complicated. And they stay complicated. Macaque and RinRin harass Wukong and Shanzha. The pair kinda like being harassed but act like they don't. They all go in circles and keep up this weird tension. It's a wreck.

MK and Yue think they're all ridiculous.

i've seen a couple friends put up deathknight+deathlord art in excitement for the 3E Abyssals release and!!! i'm excited too.

1) Ashes Offered on the Altar, Midnight cult leader devoted to the Void above all things, Serpent-Twined Graveflower, Moonshadow courtesan-assassin who murders entire courts by driving them into strife with envy and calculated murders, and Black Wings to Blot the Sky, runaway Dusk trying to figure out if it's possible to live again, and if so, who they might be underneath everyone's prior expectations

2) Grave Goods Gardener, Daybreak farmer providing sustenance to the dead

3) Severed Second Hand, Daybreak emissary of the Mask and his adopted son, Manus through the pear wiggler
