I know things are rocky with the coven because of story/plot reasons, but I think that in the normal day to day, Grandma Wren and Ame were/are the scariest members of the coven of elders.

Imagine you're Tefmet or an adventurer come to ask the coven for aid. There is a masked shadow lady(?) with a third stomach void arm, an 8ft ice queen that you have to put effort into not magically falling in love with, the literal oldest woman alive that is definitely part plant at this point, 4 wolves and a grizzly bear in a naked woman shaped trench coat, and a nice grandma or kind 20 year old who offers you a honeycake. And they all call each other sister! Sweet grandma somehow has the respect of the scariest people ever and they all refer to each other as equals.

Any PC I've ever played would be so wary of Grandma Wren and Ame and we need to talk about this more.

Considering "The Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One" for my next animated thing, because I really like it and there's not much animation for it right now.

I'm gonna try to REALLY go for a faux-Ghibli look. Wanna make something as authentic as my skills can allow.

i’m just waiting oh so patiently for all the thirsty fan art of Grandma Wren when she was young. or when she was older, idc, I am and have always been and will continue to be grateful for any crumb of art the artisans grace this hellsite with but absolutely stunning character choice of Brennan to make Wren a fucking knockout

Learning that The Man in Black is in control of Rhuv does make me even more curious about the Rhuvian Incursion.

It is quite literally the conflict that starts everything (at least for the story of the podcast) and it's fascinating to me that in a small way it continues (or I suppose retroactively becomes the first instance) of Suvi's negative experiences with Spirits (and non-Wizard mages but this was true before we knew how Rhuv/Chalices are connected to The Man in Black,).

It also links him directly to the Chalice that tried to assassinate Ame on the boat in Arc 1. I wonder if any of the party have had the time to process just how many of their problems he seems to have caused.

(He can talk all he wants about how he'd be sad to kill Ame but when you're two for two on failed assassinations of the Witches of the World's Heart in the middle of Act 1 I think we really have to take possible alliances off the table.)

I'm also now wondering if the abjuration on Suvi's necklace to protect against the sight of Great Spirits is because her parents knew about the situation in Rhuv.

This is much less substantiated but what if her parents had made enemies of The Man in Black, or at the very least one of his aliases in Rhuv?

On the one hand I think his willingness to kill Suvi is justified in the story simply because she is a Wizard from the Citadel who has the ear of Ame, but given how part of Suvi's story has been dealing with the shadow cast by her parents it may be interesting to see her deal with another thing she didn't know about them that is having an outsized effect on her current life.

As you save Suvi from the dreams that would have happened, I assume Suvi would believe that the nightmares have been banished by Grandma Wren, which is not the case.

Outside your door, what you don’t see, with a hand on your bedroom door and a little candle that she’s hiding from giving any light, is Grandma Wren, who sheds a single tear, and speaking of you, her apprentice, says,
