WAIT OMG! How would Diluc react to Lucas wanting to be a knight???
for family agenda
i think lucas would be the type to keep it a secret for a really long time, even as a young child. he admires the knights not only because he loves his uncle kaeya, but mostly because he heard of the stories of his dad being "the youngest ever prodigy captain" and that just amazes him. when lucas finally finds out the truth on why diluc quit the knights, he becomes even more secretive until...
well, until diluc finds out because it cant stay a secret forever. honestly, diluc would be against it at first, but if lucas starts showing his determination to join the knights then diluc would allow it.
in fact, diluc firmly starts believeing that his son is going to be the greatest knight there ever was. even greater than him, greater than all of them, and it makes him so proud.

UNCLE GAMER STUFF #32
Mother. Fucking. Vanillaware.
I'll be honest I'm not even sure what to say about this picture of my collection of Vanillaware games... other then that I hesitated about taking it because I wanna get my hands on the Vita release of Muramasa... but figured that wouldn't happen anytime soon so I just took the shot. But like, I can't possibly compress why I love these games into a like, single page long post, but I'll express some of it at least!
For a company who's games are most famous for their utterly stunning visual art style... and giant boobs, the thing about Vanillaware games I go back to time and time again in my head is the writing, plain and simple. I think most fans will agree with that, but also I can imagine a lot of people who's heads will spin at the idea. And while I could sit here and rattle off the things in the writing that make them good, checklist style, I feel very much that I just can't do it justice without actually like, telling the stories, at which point... just go play the games!
And boy do I mean PLAY, because the gameplay of Vanillaware games is also consistently top-tier stuff. Like their games legit have everything; breath taking art, fantastic writing, wonderful music, and they're friggin fun to play cuz they got that good gameplay. And they've hit several genres too! They're not a one trick wonder company, they're known for their RPGs of course, but like... they blend what that means into other genres so well, beat em ups, lightning action, tactics, ogre battle... they made a Warcraft style game for the friggin PS2! And while they mostly do classic western fantasy, they've also pivoted into Japanese fantasy and high concept sci-fi!
Vanillaware just keeps releasing bangers and I do surely hope to see them continue to succeed and thrive for as long as possible. In a gaming world that's been so suffuse with awful business practices and social-media-first minded companies, Vanillaware just shows up once every so often, drops another mind blower, then disappears, and I friggin love it.
(Hell they take so long between games to the point where I've seen a new trend of blatantly-trying-to-look-like-vanillaware indie/small studio games because clearly people get impatient)
(But also its good that they take as long as they need, btw, thats GOOD)
(Okay byyyyyyye!)

Deep in the throes of updated covid booster-induced fever, so it won't be happening tonight, but I finished Nocturne and I have Thoughts™ about it, which I will probably share eventually, once I have the energy. I also have Many Thoughts about some things I've seen slinking around the tags, which I will not be sharing, as I definitely do not possess the requisite energy for that XD

Can't Stay Away (Feyd-Rautha x Princess!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Second daughter of the Emperor and you were well used to being ignored in favour of your sister. That was, until you met Feyd-Rautha, nephew to the Harkonnen Baron. A tourney of old, bringing back the traditions of champions and favours brought him to your side - but how close would he stay?
TW: Minors DNI, She/Her pronouns, afab reader, mild mentions of neglect towards reader (ignored in favour of Irulan), Feyd being a flirt, hot and heavy making out, fingering, lashings of sexual tension.
I've taken a couple of liberties with the veils the Bene Gesserit/Irulan seem to wear - making it an honour to see a Sister/Princess' face and given meaning to the paint on Feyd before the arena...because why not it's my story!
(There will be a part 2...maybe 3...I have no self control)
Words: 3508
THANK YOU to @tumblin-theworldaway for not only being patient over this but for listening to my months of related brain rot! I love you!
Tumblr media
Being second to the Imperial heir had not always felt like a task. As a child, you did not mind being sent off to other tasks while Irulan was coached in the ways of an Empress. Your father had you both trained in the ways of the Bene Gesserit, and as a child it made you feel incredibly important. Being at the Reverend Mother’s side, and at times the only time you were ever praised for something you had achieved.
But the older you got, the more the feeling of being ignored crept in. Men would seek out Irulan's favour, not yours. Visitors would spend hours speaking to the elder princess before speaking to you. Irulan was the interesting one. She was heir, it made sense for her to be the one they wished to gain the favour of.
Second daughter, second best. You understood it, deep down, but that did not stop the hurt it caused.
Despite this, you always accompanied your father and sister on the planetary tours, following along as the Emperor would visit all his people and be lavished with grand feasts and parties as a welcome. Every House from Arrakis to Zanovar were granted a visit from their Emperor, some were happier about it than others.
Despite the tensions on Arrakis, the word of the ‘Messiah’ reaching the Emperor’s ears and being ignored and the rumours that the Emperor had ordered the end of House Atreides, the Imperial Tours continued.
Giedi Prime was the next stop. The home of the Harkonnens. You had heard of the Harkonnens. Fearsome warriors. Terrifying. Bloodthirsty. Brutal. In all honesty, they had fascinated you for the longest time. The manipulations that led to their rise. Their bloodstained history with House Atreides. You had read as much as you had been able to find.
And their welcome? A tournament, a battle of strength and brutality to impress their Emperor. Harking back to days of old when knights would compete in feats of battle prowess to show off. Men from all the Great Houses and more came to compete, including Feyd-Rautha. The Baron's nephew did not hesitate to volunteer to represent his people in something so prestigious.
The Imperial Ship landed and you, your sister and the Emperor were quickly greeted by the Baron and his nephews. You stood to your father’s left, Irulan at his right. Feyd’s eyes stayed on you, though you had not noticed yet. Trailing from the gold and pearl veil over your face, down to the matching white lace and gold dress that both clung and flowed over your body perfectly. He glanced briefly at Irulan, her silver and chainmail contrasting you, but his eyes ultimately returned to you.
"Your Imperial Graces, may I introduce my nephews," the Baron began, gesturing first to his elder nephew and then the younger as he spoke.
"Beast-Rabban and Feyd-Rautha."
Both men bowed, following their uncle's lead. First to the Emperor, then Irulan and then you. The order of importance seemed clear, as usual. But as his head raised, Feyd met your gaze and held it. Cool blue eyes boring into yours and you could not look away.
Your father nodded his head in thanks as did Irulan, but you...
You still stared at Feyd. Something about him, the way he held your gaze. The faint smirk forming on his lips. You could not do anything but stare.
His smile widened, black painted teeth on show as he stepped forward and taking your hand in his, a gesture that shocked even you. His lips found the back of it, pressing a surprisingly gentle but lingering kiss to your skin. No one ever focused on you like this, not when you stood by Irulan. It was something you had gotten quite accustomed to.
But the rough scratch of his fingers around yours, the heat of his lips on your skin, was enough to have you blushing. Then he spoke. His voice low, sending a shiver down your spine.
"A pleasure to meet you, princess."
Tumblr media
The Emperor and the Baron led you, Irulan and the Baron’s nephews back inside the Harkonnen fortress. Despite trying not to, your focus always seemed to return to Feyd. The way he moved with confidence, the small glances he gave you with that smirk still on his lips.
Irulan was at your father’s side, as usual. Rabban walked beside the Baron. Which left you and Feyd behind that line. You were not purposely walking at his side, but you soon noticed that Feyd had fallen into step with you. Slowing his pace to match yours.
You kept your gaze forward, but you could feel his eyes on you. Like a predator and you were no more than prey. You knew you would be the one to break the silence before Feyd did.
“Are you looking forward to the tournament, Feyd?” You asked, glancing to the side to see him, as expected, staring at you as he walked.
Feyd hummed low in response before answering. You began to wonder how he was being so mindful of where he was going, whilst keeping his eyes on you.
“A fight is always welcome, princess. Are you excited for it?”
You did not answer immediately. No answer you gave, you felt, was ever interesting enough. Or at least, not in your past experiences. But, to your surprise, Feyd seemed genuinely interested.
“I am intrigued, to say the least. It is not often a House welcomes us with such an event.”
Feyd only nodded, before holding out his hand to stop you moving further forward. It was only then that you noticed you had reached the doors to the Harkonnen fortress. You had been so distracted by the man beside you, you had ignored your surroundings.
“After you, princess,” Feyd offered, holding out an arm to allow you to walk ahead.
You walked on, hearing Feyd’s boots against the floor behind you. Your father, sister and the Baron and his nephew were ahead of you. And your father had not looked back once to check on you, something you were well used to. But Feyd had noticed too.
His head tilted in curiosity but said nothing on the topic. He followed you inside, eyes glancing occasionally between you and your father, noticing the seemingly longing look you held. As the Baron led the Emperor and Irulan into the dining hall, you seemed to hang back, like you were waiting for permission to follow them.
When that did not come, you folded your hands before you and turned from the door.
“Are you not joining them?” Feyd asked, genuinely surprised at the situation.
Your head hung low, and you simply shook it.
“Not if I am not invited. Irulan is heir, not I,” You said simply and began walking away without a second glance.
You assumed Feyd would join his uncle and brother. But the sound of footsteps behind you told you otherwise. You did not look back as you walked, though in truth, you had no idea where you were walking to. You simply wished to be away. Feyd followed silently, only interfering when he felt the need to steer you somewhere specific.
“Princess, follow me, I have somewhere more comfortable you could wait over walking the halls?”
Feyd was not sure why, but he felt the need to be at your side. A strange draw that seemed to tug at his gut and keep him at your side. He was a man of pleasure, or so most people said. He held little care for the feelings of others.
Yet with you, he wanted to know. No, he needed to know. To know what bothered you. To know why your eyes dipped to the floor after looking at your father and sister. Why you seemed surprised from the moment he paid you attention upon your arrival. He was curious as to why you seemed to try to hide your presence at any given moment.
But he said nothing. He would not even know where to begin if he wanted to. Instead, he walked in silence, leading you to a wide balcony that looked out on to the expanse of Giedi Prime.
You took your seat and the two of you sat in a comfortable silence until you were called by one of your father’s attendants.
Tumblr media
You listened politely as you walked beside your sister, Irulan’s arm linked with yours this time as you followed your father and the Baron towards the arena. Irulan talked on about how the tournament would work, that you, her and some other noble ladies from the Houses would choose their own champion to fight the tournament in their name.
It reminded you of the tourneys of old. Where knights fought for princesses and ladies to win favour. You had read so many stories, fairytales of times that were now a faraway memory. The idea fascinated you as much as the Harkonnens did. You were about to ask Irulan more, when your father turned to speak. To both of you, for once.
“My daughters, you will allow the ladies from the Great Houses to choose their champions, then you will choose.”
That confused you both, but you had little choice but to agree. He was the Emperor first, your father second.
You watched warriors from each Great House and some minor Houses line up before you, Irulan and the other gathered ladies with interest. And you could not hide your smile when Feyd stepped forward and joined them.
One by one, champions were picked. Irulan chose first out of the two of you, not surprisingly choosing a Corrino soldier as her champion. There were more warriors than ladies to choose, and Feyd remained in those waiting. That surprised you. He was known for his fighting ability, so you did not understand why he had not been chosen. Which only solidified your own choice.
“Princess, your choice of champion please?” the Harkonnen announcer asked, gesturing to the men before you.
Purely for the suspense, you paused before answering. Mere seconds, allowing you to enjoy the small amount of attention focused solely on you.
“I choose Feyd-Rautha.”
Everyone looked shocked, including your father and sister. Everyone, but Feyd. His smirk wide as he stepped forward, taking your hand as he had when you arrived. Eyes locked to yours as he pressed his lips to your knuckles.
“I shall win well for you, my princess.”
Tumblr media
You were not sure if it was traditional, but Feyd had asked you to see him before the tournament. A guard led you silently to a round chamber, with only a black stone table in the centre, holding weapons of different kinds. You stood out so starkly against the black stone, the faint lights making the pearls on your veil shimmer ever so slightly.
Feyd was stood in the centre, and you could feel the heat in your cheeks you realised he wore only an intricately wrapped loin cloth.
“Princess, I appreciate you agreeing to come,” Feyd called as he strode to your side.
He smirked as he watched you avert your gaze from his bare chest. In his hand, he held a bowl of what looked like black paint. It was only when he tapped the stone bowl did your eyes find it. You looked back at him curiously.
“You are my champion, it would be rude not to,” you said softly, your eyes still looking at the bowl.
It was only then that you noticed there was no one else in the room. Something that seemed extremely unusual.
“Do you normally prepare for a fight alone?” you asked, eyes flitting around the room and back to him, now trained solely on his face.
Feyd chuckled, a low, gravelly sound that you found yourself wanting to hear again.
“No, usually I am surrounded by servants and guards. But I thought I would try something different today. It’s a special day after all.”
He held the bowl up, tipping it slightly to move the paint. Your eyes watched it with interest, it slowly dawning on you what it was for. You had read up on the Harkonnens and Giedi Prime before you arrived, there was more lore to research than you had anticipated. One thing, now, came to your mind.
“Am I to paint you, Feyd?”
That earned you another chuckle. Though Feyd was actually quite surprised you knew of any Harkonnen traditions.
“I thought it would be interesting, to prepare your champion for battle, hmm?” he asked, holding the bowl out to you, careful however not to get the ink black liquid on your white dress.
You nodded, confusing him when you turned away from him. But what you did next, was not what he expected. Slowly, you lifted the veil that had covered your face since your arrival. Finally revealing your full appearance to him.
And you were beautiful.
“Then I suppose it is only fair I let you look at me while I do so.”
What Feyd did not realise, was the importance of what seemed like a small gesture. Almost all those trained by the Bene Gesserit veiled themselves in some way. The Princesses most of all. But Feyd knew even now, he was being honoured by you.
“Thank you, princess.” Was all he could manage, any words he said would never be quite enough, he felt.
You returned to his side, only now looking down at the full form of him. Thick muscle covered him from shoulder and down. A body sculpted for war, it seemed. And it was now a body that would fight in your name.
Feyd held out the bowl, watching with curious eyes as you took it and moved to stand at his back. He opened his mouth to instruct you but was stopped by the cold sensation of paint on his skin. You felt him stiffen a little and continued to paint as you explained.
“I have done my research before coming here. My father always tells me it is best to know our hosts,” you said simply, as if that should be enough to explain why you so easily began painting him.
He said nothing as you finished his back, the feeling of the paint drying telling him where you had painted each square and line. It fascinated him that you had so quickly learned the symbols necessary.
But when you moved to his front, he felt a wave of anticipation run through him. Tongue flicking out to wet his lips as he waited for you to begin. He could feel the warmth of your hands more intensely now he could see you.
You started on his chest, painting the four thick lines on his pectorals first. He watched the concentration on your face, the way your teeth gently nibbled your lower lip as your made sure every stroke was perfect.
You could feel his eyes on you, but you did not dare look up. The whole situation was intimate enough, without meeting his gaze. Feyd heard the soft breath you took to prepare yourself as you moved lower, pausing only briefly before you began to paint his stomach.
“Do you really believe these help you?” you suddenly asked, as though distracting yourself from the path your fingers took over the ridges of hid abdominals.
Feyd’s jaw clenched at the gentleness of your touch, the feeling sending goosebumps over his pale skin. He did his best to concentrate on answering your question about the symbols.
“It is the belief in them that makes them important, so yes, I do.”
You hummed in response, and Feyd’s breath caught in his throat when you began to kneel as your painted nearer his hips.
The tension in the air was thick. No sounds in the room except the scrape of your fingers against the bowl and the soft puffs of your combined breathing. Feyd tried his best to concentrate solely on the paint being smeared on his skin, but having you so close had desire settling in his belly.
Soon, you were done.
“There, I hope I have done a good enough job…” Feyd smiled at the mix of hope and pride in your eyes. But when you moved to take your hand away from his skin, he grabbed it quickly. His body acting on instinct and the words leaving him before his brain could control them.
“Would I be too forward in asking for a kiss, princess. For luck?”
You were struck silent by the question, but an aching part of you began urging you to allow him one kiss. No harm could come from it, right?
Tentatively, you stepped forward after setting bowl down on a table nearby. You pressed your lips softly to his cheek, letting them linger for mere seconds. But that was not what Feyd wanted.
You had barely stepped back before his arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you flush against his body. He revelled in the small squeak of surprise that left you and he appreciated the fact you were not trying to push him away.
Your face was mere inches from his as his hand moved to cup your cheek, tilting your head up to his as he pressed him plump lips to yours. The feeling was electric the moment your lips met, your own hand gripping the back of his neck. Not caring for the paint that was now smeared down the skin there.
You pressed yourself harder against him, letting your body mould to his as he deepened the kiss. Tongue swiping against the flesh of your lip, asking for entry which you happily granted. The moment his tongue found yours, Feyd was like a man possessed. Gripping your face tighter as your tongue soon surrendered to his, tangling together in a clash of teeth.
The paint on his body, barely dried, smeared against your dress but you could not have cared less. Your only thoughts were Feyd. The feel of his arm on your waist and hand on your face. The taste of him, combined with the black paint on his teeth. You were entirely intoxicated by him.
You were not sure when he had backed you towards the table, but you did not stop him when he lifted you quickly on to it. There was something so delicious about the danger of the whole situation. While realistically, you barely knew him, you could feel your body surrendering to every kiss and touch. The very fibres of you desperate to feel more of him already.
Feyd groaned into your mouth when you made space for him to slip between your legs, your dress parting either side to accommodate the movement. His hands took purchase your thighs while yours found his shoulders. Your paint-stained fingers leaving fingerprints all over his alabaster skin.
The room felt like it had heated as his lips began to trail down your jaw and to your neck, following a path until he reached the swell of your breasts, just visible with the cut of your dress. His hands kneading the flesh of your thighs, the combination forcing breathy moans to slip from your lips.
Feyd revelled in every one of them. The dig of nails into his shoulder when he nipped at your collarbone, the soft moan when his hands found the apex of your thighs and squeezed.
“I will win for you, my princess…” he mumbled, his face buried in your neck as his fingers continued their path to your core.
And you were powerless to stop him, your body listening now solely to your base instincts. The first brush of his fingers over your underwear had your head falling back.
“Win for me, and I will reward you…” you sighed out, as his fingers slipped deftly beneath the fabric.
Feyd could barely concentrate on your promise, slipping his fingers further and further between your folds until he was buried to the knuckles. The smallest curl of the digits had you moaning his name.
“Reward me how?” he asked, already feeling your soft walls clenching around him as your release crept forward.
He could barely help himself, thrusting and curling his fingers over and over. Feeling the soft gush of your slick coating his fingers and palm with each movement.
You could hardly form words, Feyd’s fingers somehow speeding up again. You could only moan as you release surprised you, tugging Feyd by neck to kiss him as you spilled around his fingers.
He slowed his movements as you relaxed, not pulling them out until he could feel your muscles stop spasming. Your jaw went slack as you saw him reach for the bowl of paint, mixing your juices with the black liquid and painting over the now smudged symbols you had adorned him with. The smug grin on his face making your skin tingle.
You slowly came back to yourself, eyes meeting his as you finally answered.
“Win for me, and you can have any part of me you wish.”

⭑ My dear betrothed ⭑
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Pairing: Jacaerys Velaryon x fem!cousin!reader
Warnings: usual targcest, making out, oral (m receiving), oral (f receiving), fingering, handjob, mastrubation, groping.
Summary: After years of not seeing each other, you are to be wed to your cousin Jace, but can you hold off your desires for each other before the wedding?
Word count: 3.3k
Your arrival on Dragon Stone after weeks at sea was most welcoming, you were betrothed to your kind hearted cousin Jacaerys, heir to the iron throne. Being the eldest daughter of Daemon and Leana you were taken to ward by your grandmother the Princess Rhaenys. It was her and Princess Rhaenera’s idea to bring the families closer together so that the Targaryens and Velaryons could rule together again.
Normally the idea of a betrothal made you nervous and unsure but growing up with Jace you knew you would be safe with him. Not to mention the massive crush you had on him. Even as kids you were close, he made you laugh and feel confident. He protected you against your sinister cousins Aegon and Aemond and defended your honour more than once.
You saw him as this incredibly handsome, strong and skillful knight in shining armour, or rather prince in shining armour. However you haven’t seen him since he left Driftmark after your mother’s funeral and was very eager to see him. You were eager for him to see you as well, you had changed since you last saw each other. You were taller, curvier and your features defined. You had become a beautiful woman and couldn’t wait for him to see it.
The anxiety in your chest grew as you followed your grandmother Rhaenys through the grand doors of Dragon Stone. It was a cold, windy and intimidating place, but knowing your future husband was inside made it feel a whole lot warmer. As you entered the room after your grandmother you felt a pair of arms wrap strongly around you and in the corner of your eye you caught the glimpse of the silver hair on her head.
“Sister!” Rhaena almost sobbed as she hugged you from behind. She loosened her grip a bit to let you turn around. “Rhaena, gods have I missed you. You’ve grown into a real woman, a real princess, look at you!” You gasped, she had become beautiful just as Baela, who stayed at Driftmark due to her getting a sudden cold a day before you were supposed to depart.
“You as well, I have missed you too sister. As much as I love it here with father, I still miss our flights and dancing lessons every day.” She muttered into your shoulder. Then she noticed. “Where is Baela?” She asked, confused. “She had to stay at Driftmark due to a cold she caught before we left. It made me so sad thinking that we could finally be reunited but the maesters insisted she stayed, grandfather stayed with her.” You explained.
She nodded understandingly and then your eyes caught your fathers. A big smile grew on both your faces and you ran into his arms. Out of the three of you, you had the closest bond with your father, sharing his passion for battles and history. As you let go you greeted Rhaenyra who was standing beside him.
The noise of heavy doors opening pulled your attention away from the princess and on top of the stairs was Jace, he had grown taller and more lean. His curls accentuating his handsome face. His jawline had gotten sharp and lips more full and plump. His dark lashes made his honey brown eyes stand out more, and you had to keep your mouth from falling open. Your eyes met his as he descended the stairs to walk over to you.
His eyes didn’t leave yours as he stopped in front of you, grabbed your right hand and kissed it softly before speaking. “Princess, welcome to Dragon Stone. It is good to finally see you again.” His voice had become lower and oh so smooth. You couldn’t help the big smile on your face as butterflies filled your chest. “It is good to see you again as well Jace, you… have grown into a man these past few years.” You smiled at him, you felt like the luckiest woman on earth to be betrothed to him.
“And you into a woman, you look beautiful.” He commented. He greeted your grandmother as well and were led into a different hall to be served supper. Which was much needed after your long day of travelling. After you arrived on shore of Dragon Stone you were shattered but seeing Jace and hearing his words and breathing his scent and feeling his touch breathed all life back into you. During supper you couldn’t help but let your attention shift from your bubbly, happy sister to your handsome and striking betrothed. The rest of the night was spent catching each other's glimpses and stares. It was only a week away from the actual wedding and yet you couldn’t even wait that long for him to become all yours.
Even when the night was over and your head finally hit your pillow in one of the bedchambers of Dragon Stone, you couldn’t sleep without Jace plaguing your mind. You felt yourself overcome with desire and want. But you didn’t know what to do about it. You thought back to when Jace kissed your hand, his soft lips on your skin setting it on fire. And when you at last fell asleep even your dreams contained his handsome face.
The next day was mostly spent away from each other as you spent most of it fitting and altering your dress and cloak for the wedding. His duties were the fitting of his clothes and deciding with his mother on the decorations and arrangements of tables and seats. Sadly at dinner you didn’t even get to see him.
As the sun was setting and you were allowed to retreat to your chambers, you were reading one of your favourite romance novels when you heard a knock on the door. “I told you Marina I would like to be left alone for the evening.” You spoke but to your surprise your favourite prince spoke on the other side of the door instead. “I am sorry Princess, it is me, Jacaerys.” The second the words left his mouth you left the window seat and your book and opened the door. “Jace, I’m sorry I thought you were my handmaiden. She was insisting on trying on hairstyles as well today but I was too tired.” You smiled awkwardly at him, your gaze leaving him to check the halls behind him. “Don’t worry no one knows I’m here, but are you too tired for me as well Princess, or might I speak with you for a moment.” He uttered.
“Of course not, come in.” You smiled as you opened the door for him further to step inside. He slid past you and you two took a seat together on one of the settee’s in your chamber. Conversation was always so easy with him, you two exchanged stories and experiences from the years you had been apart and the hours flew by. After you finished yet another story of how Baela almost fell off of Moondancer a couple of weeks ago your conversation grew quiet and you noticed Jace staring at your lips, almost shamelessly looking at your cleavage as well. When he noticed that you caught him staring he softly spoke, “It is quite late, I should return to my own chambers before they come looking for me.”
“Of course, time flew by, didn't it.” You laughed and led him to the door. “Indeed.” He said but turned to you in the opened door. “Might I give you a small kiss goodnight?” He whispered. He caught you by surprise but could never deny him. You couldn’t even speak and so nodded instead. He took a step closer and softly kissed your cheek and murmured a goodnight. You smiled at him as he turned to go to his own chambers. When you closed the door the smile on your face grew even bigger. That night you found yourself once again thinking of him. And you wondered if he too thought of you.
And boy did he. As soon as Jacaerys closed the door behind him he felt his hardened cock press against his trousers. How pathetic he thought, only a small kiss on your cheek and he wanted to rip off your clothes and show you how good of a husband he would be to you. He wasted no time in getting his own clothes off and quickly laid on his bed, covering most of his naked body with his sheets in case someone entered his chambers while he relieved himself.
He pulled the sheets off him just a bit so his cock sprang free, he eagerly wrapped a hand on his hard on and thoughts of you immediately plagued his mind. Precum leaking out of the tip as he imagined it was your hands pleasuring him instead. He imagined what your breasts looked like, imagined licking them, sucking them, and even slightly biting them but not as much to hurt you of course. He stroked his cock faster and harder the deeper his mind went into the dirty pits of desire. As he was nearing his release he thought of your wet, warm, tight cunt enveloping his cock, which did it for him. He cussed and repeated your name as he came all over his hand and sheets, some even landed over his toned abs. Gods the things you did to him, and you had no idea.
Talking to you in your bedchamber at night became a regular occurrence and unbeknownst to you, Jace relieving himself after too. Only two days were left before the big wedding and every night you and Jace became as close as ever again, and the innocent goodnight kiss became bolder and less innocent. Last night it went from a soft peck on the lips to fully kissing him, but he quickly stopped himself before he went too far. Yet another day had passed and as the sun had set yet again, the familiar knocks on the door could be heard. You opened the door and Jace was this time dressed in a thin cotton undershirt and black pants. He looked so good.
“Good evening princess.” He smiled at you. “Good evening Jace.” You smiled in return and opened the door wider for him so he could step inside as usual. “Actually, if you’ll follow me. I want to show you something.” He told you with a bit of a grin on his face. “Oh? Where might that be?” You asked intrigued. “Just follow me.” And so you did. He took tiny hallways and what looked to be secret passages to outside. On the beaches of Dragon Stone. For a while you followed him along the shore, until you saw some lights in what looked to be some sort of shallow cave underneath the big rocks and boulders that held the castle. He led you inside and there was wine and a fire with blankets around that welcomed you.
“Oh Jace, what is all of this?” You softly gasped, no one had ever done you such a kindness. Especially because one of the nights you talked, you said you wished to know what it was like to see more of Dragon Stone outside the castle walls. “It’s for you, our little place to share our good conversations.” He said as he led you to sit beside him on the blankets and furs near the fire. “Well it was my little hideout when I first came to Dragon Stone after we left court in Kings Landing. But I want to share it with my future wife.” He explained. “Jace this is amazing, thank you for sharing this with me.” He looked at you longingly and sat closer to you.
You couldn’t help but get lost in his honey brown eyes. His hand then laid on your cheek and pulled you closer to him. Your lips finally met again and this time, Jace grew bolder. His other hand laid on your waist and you put your hands on his cheek and in his curls instead, craving more yourself. He softly let his tongue enter your mouth and grazed your tongue. You couldn’t help but softly whimper at this new sensation and Jace sighed against your lips. Your skin heated up at his touch and you let your tongue explore his mouth instead this time. The kiss got more and more heated until, he stopped.
“What- did I… do something wrong Jace?” You asked him, afraid that you went too far and a little hurt because he pulled away. “No you actually did amazingly well, it’s just…” He seemed to look at the ground then back to you and to the ground again. “You can tell me, please.” You begged. “I don’t know if we should continue, if we do I might not be able to control…my desires for you. I would never want to take your maidenhood away before we are married.” He explained, his cheeks flushed and lips still red and plump from your make out session. “Oh, well, does it really matter if we…give into our desires two days early? You are to be my husband anyway. And I… just really want to continue. You make me feel so good, I want to continue feeling this good and maybe even better.”
“We really shouldn’t, I could never dishonour you like that.” He said but he seemed to hesitate, you could see the fight between honour and desire in his eyes. “However, we could…make each other feel good in other ways, in ways that would keep your maidenhood intact.” He mumbled softly. “Please, show me how.” You pleaded, you wanted so badly for him to touch you, anything that would make that exciting feeling come back. Jacaerys felt his pants tighten at your words. To hear you basically pleading for his touch, set something on fire for him, something he never felt before. He wasted no time pulling you back into him, his lips moving feverishly against yours. His hand wandering experimentally over your thigh, which made you shudder at the touch.
“Do you want me to make you feel really good?” Jace whispered against your lips in between kisses. “Yes, please. I’ll do anything.” He moved his hand down your leg and raised the skirt of your nightgown. Even his light touch on your leg made you want to moan his name, you wondered what he was up to. He laid you down and helped you raise the skirt up to your hips. Since you were in your nightgown, you wore nothing underneath. This certainly didn’t go unnoticed by Jace as he was already lightly running his fingers over your wet folds making you moan his name, begging for more. Even though you didn’t know exactly what you were begging for, Jace seemed to. For he let two of his fingers run circles over your clit while kissing and sucking at your neck.
“Jace- Please, it feels so good, please I need more.” You almost cried, these new sensations and touches you never felt before made you want to stay in that cave forever so you would never have to return. He sped up his fingers and licked at your neck, moving his mouth a bit further down to lick and kiss your cleavage. Then he removed his fingers and moved his body further down so his head was positioned between your legs. “I promise you this will feel even better my beautiful princess.” He smiled, before delving in between your thighs. He immediately started licking and sucking your folds and clit, and you knew that something was about to burst soon, you felt something building up and didn’t want it to stop. You moaned and moaned his name, as if he was a god himself. He lapped faster at your clit and had to hold your legs down and open for better access. “I- I don’t- something is about to-” You cut yourself off as you arched your back and gripped Jace’s curls with a loud moan. Your entire body felt ecstatic and an overwhelming pleasure took hold of you.
After making sure you fully finished, Jace raised his head and kissed up your thighs. “What just happened- I never felt such pleasure in my life.” You almost laughed, you couldn’t believe he just made you feel that amazing. “That’s called coming, princess.” He told you with a smirk. “I want you to feel that amazing, please I want to pleasure you like that.” You sighed still in the clouds from your high. “You don’t have to, it was already amazing to make you feel such pleasure. But if you…really want to, I’ll teach you how.” You sat back up and cupped his face as you kissed him.
“Yes I really want to, please teach me.” You said against his lips. He took your hand off his cheek and placed it on his clothed hard cock. “This is where you touch me to make me feel good.” He explained to you. You started massaging his hard on experimentally, to see what made him moan. He groaned at the feeling, he wanted this the moment he laid eyes on you when you had arrived. “Yes- fuck, that’s good.” He moaned now leaning back against the hard rock wall of the cave.
You decided that you wanted to see what was underneath and removed his pants and undergarments from his legs, you pulled it down with his help so it was bunched up at his ankles. You grabbed his hard member and started stroking it with Jace guiding you with his whimpers and moans. “Fuck- if… if you want, you can- oh fuck right there- you can put your mouth on me as well.” He moaned, he could barely get the words out because of your touch. Precum started leaking out and coated your hand as well as his cock, lubing him up. You had the urge to lick the beads drooling out of his tip.
Just as a bead came out you dipped down and licked it up with your tongue, this made Jace look down and moan at the sight. He had never seen such a beautiful and lustful picture before him. The princess of his dreams licking his tip. Wanting to go further you took him in your mouth and used your tongue to see how he would react and he did quite. Jace whimpered your name and grabbed the blanket underneath him. “Fuck yes, thats a good fucking girl sucking me like that. You fucking love this cock don’t you.” He groaned through gritted teeth. You could feel the arousal build again at his words, never had he spoken so dirty to you, and you loved it.
Taking the encouragement you started to actually suck his cock, making his whimpers and moans grow louder. “Just like that- yes- fuck I’m going to fill your pretty mouth with my seed- fuck-” This time you moaned at his words and swirled your tongue around his tip you could feel his cock become harder and with a final couple of curses and moans of your name he came in your mouth. You made no attempt to pull off, instead swallowed his seed down like a whore. When he came down from his high he panted and pulled you in his arms.
“I hope I wasn’t offending you… it just felt so amazing.” He panted, putting his forehead against yours. “Not even a bit, I actually loved the way you talked to me, it felt so dirty but so good. I hope we will do this often as husband and wife.” You smiled and bit your lip slightly at the thought of getting to do this as many times as you wanted in two days. “Trust me we will.” He assured you.

Tumblr media
The hall of your family’s keep is quieter than usual, though tension hangs in the air.
You sit at the long table, your hands resting om your lap, trying to keep calm as your mother and father exchange worried glances from across the room. The fireplace is the only sound that fills the room. Your sisters sit nearby, their faces show their concern, while your two brothers stand at the back of the room.
You know why you’re all gathered here. It’s a conversation that’s been pending for weeks, ever since news of the war of the Stepstones reached your lands. You and the rest of the ladies were given a choice, but it’s clear that your family doesn’t see it as one.
Your father clears his throat, breaking the silence. "My daughter, you are the youngest of House Caswell. You must understand the choices before you. There are...expectations. It is time to think of your future."
Your mother nods. "We’ve spoken of this before. You could marry, my dearest. There are lords who would gladly take a girl like you. Or, if marriage isn’t your path, the septas will gladly take you in."
You’ve heard this all before. Marriage or the Faith. Those are the only options anyone sees for you. But they don’t understand. You don’t want to spend your life praying in a sept or playing the dutiful wife. You want something else.
“I don’t want to be a septa,” you say firmly. “And I have no interest in marriage, not right now. The war… they need healers. I can help.”
Your father’s brows furrow. He sits back in his chair, eyeing you with a mix of disbelief and frustration. "The battlefield is no place for a woman, especially not a daughter of mine."
“I agree,” your sister, Melissa, interrupts from across the table. She’s always been the dutiful one, her nose always buried in the books of history. “The gods have plans for us. You could do good in the Faith, sister. Don’t let the horrors of war tempt you from a safer path.”
“Safe?” You scoff. “The Faith doesn’t call to me, Melissa. I’m not like you. I do not hear the call of the Seven like you do.” You look at your sister. “I want to do something that matters, to help people. People who are suffering because of this war.”
“Being a septa helps people,” she tries to convince you, “you’d bring the Light of the Seven to those in need.”
“But that is not what I wish for,” you insist, “I want to help with my hands. Healing those who are wounded. Saving lives.”
Your older brother, Ser Arthur, steps forward, his voice firm. “Do you know what you’re asking for, sister? You’ve never seen war. It’s not some grand adventure. It’s blood and death, and it will haunt you long after the fighting is over.” He pauses briefly. “If you think healing will spare you from that, you’re wrong.”
Your younger brother, Theo, who’s barely old enough to hold a sword, speaks up, his voice shaky. “He’s right. I’ve heard the stories from the soldiers who’ve returned. The screams, the smells. The battlefield is no place for a lady.”
You turn to them. “I am not asking for a knight’s life. I know what war is. I’m not foolish.” You glance between your siblings and your parents. “But I will not stand by while men die if I can do something about it, let me help. It is my choice.”
Your father slams his hand down on the table, startling everyone. “And what of your duties to this house? You think you can just abandon them, throw yourself into the mud and blood of battle?”
Your mother’s eyes fill up with unshed tears, and she whispers, “You’re our daughter, sweetling. We just want you safe.”
You swallow hard, trying to fight back the tears that threaten to spill from your eyes. “I know you want what’s best for me. But I need to do this. Not because I want to run away from my duties, but because I want to make a difference. If I can save even one life out there, then that’s worth it to me.”
Melissa stands up, coming closer to you and resting her hand on your shoulder. “Please, sister. You’re smarter than this. You don’t have to go looking for death. The gods have other plans for you, if you’ll just listen.”
You turn to her, “I love you, Melissa. But I can’t live my life praying every single day, locked up in a sept.”
Everyone turns quiet, you could only hear your mother’s sobs and the fireplace.
Finally, it is your father who breaks the silence, his voice rough. “If this is truly what you want…” He shakes his head, sighing. “Then go. Serve as a healer. But do not say I didn’t warn you.”
You meet his gaze, nodding. “Thank you.”
Melissa looks like she wants to keep trying to convince you, but she just sighs in defeat. “May the gods protect you, sister.”
Arthur steps forward, resting a hand on your shoulder. “I hope you know what you’re doing”
“So do I,” you murmur, though you know this is the path you must follow, you still have some doubts in your mind.
As you rise from your seat and begin to make your way out of the hall, you feel the guilt of not listening to them, but you’ve made your choice. The battlefield may not be a place for most women, but you are not most women.
You will go, and you will help. No matter what anyone else says.
The morning you leave for the war, the sky is heavy with clouds, as if the gods were trying to tell you it was the wrong path. Your family stands around you, silent in disappointment.
Your mother is the first to approach you. She takes your hand, into hers. Her eyes are still red from the tears she shed last night. "Please, my dearest, be careful," she whispers, her voice cracking. "I know you think this is the right choice, but I can’t bear to lose you. You’re still my little girl."
You feel a bit of guilt but gently squeezed her hand in return. "I’ll be careful, mother. I promise. I’ll write whenever I can."
Your father stands a few feet away, his arms crossed over his chest. He hasn’t spoken to you since you made your choice.
"My daughter," he says, "If you find that this is too much, if you wish to come home, there will always be a place for you here."
You nod. "Thank you, Father. But I won’t be coming home until I’ve fulfilled my duty."
Your sister Melissa approaches next, she’s spent the entire night in prayer. "I will pray for you every day," she says softly. "May the gods guide you and keep you safe."
You smile at her, grateful for her words even if you no longer share her faith in the Seven. "Thank you, sister. But I will be relying on my own hands to keep me safe."
Arthur steps forward as he pulls you into a firm embrace. He doesn’t speak, but the hug says enough. "You’re braver than I thought," he says. "I just hope you know what you’re getting into."
"I do," you reply, meeting his gaze. "and I will come back, brother. Do not worry."
Your younger brother Theo, looks up at you with sadness in his eyes. "If I were old enough," he murmurs, "I would be going with you."
You ruffle his hair, "Well, I am glad you’re not. Stay here, and keep the family safe for me, all right?"
His smile turns into a pout, but he nods, "Fine," he mumbles. "But you better come back in one piece so we can play like we do."
You give him a small smile, although you want to do this, you do not like the idea of leaving your family behind. “I will come back in one piece, I promise.”
With one last glance at your family, you get on the back the carriage. You know this journey will change you. There’s no denying that. But you also know you’ve made the right choice.
As you ride away, the gates of your family’s keep slowly close behind you, and the view of your home begins to fade.
Your journey to the Stepstones begins, it is a long trip, longer than you expected, and after just a few hours on the ship, you’ve already had enough of the sea.
It’s uncomfortable, and filled with rough men, mercenaries, and knights—making their way to the battle in the Stepstones. Among them, you are one of the very few women, and the looks you get remind you of it.
But you are not alone. On the second day of the journey, you meet Lysa, a fellow healer, although her skills lean more towards battlefield survival and self-defense. She is very brave and before long, the two of you find yourselves sticking together, watching each other’s backs.
One evening, you and Lysa sit on the deck, talking about your families and why you both chose to leave them behind for war.
“So,” Lysa says, “you chose to be a healer instead of a septa. I have to say, I would have done the same, given the choice.”
You smile at her. “I couldn’t bear the idea of spending my life in a sept. Too quiet, too… restricting.”
Lysa laughs. “I get it. I couldn’t stand being tied down either. I’d rather be out here, risking my life, than sitting at home waiting for a husband.”
As you share stories, the bond between you strengthens. You find that you trust her in a way you’ve trusted few people in your life. It’s comforting to have a friend, especially on a ship full of strange and dangerous men.
But not everyone aboard the ship is as decent as Lysa.
That same night, as you make your way to your shared quarters, a man blocks your way. He’s an older knight, his face scarred, his breath stinking of ale.
“Now what’s a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this?” he slurs, leaning in too close.
You step back in disgust. “I am a healer, here to tend to the wounded. Nothing more.”
The man chuckles, his eyes roaming over your body. “Oh, I’m sure you’ll be doing plenty more. A pretty girl like you… I’m sure the men will find other uses for you.”
You feel sick to your stomach at his words. “I’d rather be eaten by sharks than entertain men like you.”
The man’s smile fades, “You ought to watch your tongue, girl. Do not forget your place.”
“Trust me,” you say loud enough for the surrounding men to hear, “I know my place. It is not in your bed, and certainly not besides a man who reeks like a wet dog.”
You can hear the laughter from the other men around, and the knight’s face flushes with embarrassment. You ignore his presence and go inside your shared quarters.
Lysa claps you on the shoulder when you reach her, smiling widely. “That was brilliant,” she says. “You put that dog in his place.”
You shrug, “I just hope he takes the hint.”
Unfortunately, the old knight doesn’t. Later that night, while you’re asleep, you hear footsteps in the darkness. Before you can react, a rough hand covers your mouth. Your heart pounds in your chest as you struggle to break free, kicking around as hard as you could.
But before the man can do anything more, he’s pulled away from you, and you hear a familiar voice. “Get your filthy hands off her, or I will slice your throat myself.”
The man growls, but Lysa doesn’t back down, she presses the knife to his neck and slightly cuts it.
“You’ve got some nerve,” Lysa whispers, standing over him. “Try something like that again, and I’ll throw you overboard.”
The knight, humiliated and angry, mutters something under his breath before retreating back into the shadows.
“Are you all right?” she asks, turning to you.
You nod shakily, your heart still racing. “Thanks to you.”
She sits down beside you, her expression softening. “Us women have to stick together out here. There aren’t many people you can trust on a ship like this.”
You take her hand, squeezing it. “I won’t forget it.”
The rest of the journey passes with fewer incidents, though the tension never quite leaves. You and Lysa keep a careful eye on each other, making sure that no one else tries anything again. When the ship finally reaches the Stepstones, you’re relieved to set foot on solid ground.
When you arrive at the healers’ tent, you’re greeted not by the woman you were expecting but by an old maester. He introduces himself as Maester Aegred, and though he is kind, you could see the surprise in his eyes the moment he saw you.
“You’re the healer?” he asks, raising his brow slightly.
“I am,” you reply, straightening your back, “Lady Caswell, sent by my family to serve here.”
Maester Aegred nods slowly, though he seems uncertain. “You’re one of the only women in this camp, I’m afraid. It will not be easy for you.”
“I’m not here because I thought it would be easy,” you say firmly. “I’m here because I want to help.”
The maester gives you a small approving nod. “Very well. Welcome to the Stepstones, Lady Caswell.”
He gives hands you a basket filled with herbs and bandages. “You’ll be starting with the fevered men,” he says, “Boil these herbs for teas, and keep their wounds clean. Watch for signs of infection.”
You get to work without hesitation, the first man you attend looks barely conscious, his face wet with sweat. You dip a cloth into cool water, before placing it gently on his forehead.
“There now,” you whisper, “Rest easy. I’m here to help.”
You prepare the herbal tea as the maester instructed, bringing the it to his lips. He barely sips it, but you’re persistent, bringing him to drink more. His skin is hot to the touch, and you pray the fever will break soon.
As you continue tending to the soldiers, the hours pass by. There’s little time for anything else besides cleaning wounds, applying creams, and offering them tea.
Days pass like this—hard work from dawn until dusk. You grow more accustomed to the sight of blood. Your hands become more skilled.
One afternoon, after days of dealing with nothing but fever and infection, you’re called to tend to a knight who’s been brought in from the front lines. His armor is dented, and his face is pale beneath a layer of blood. His men carry him into the maester’s tent.
“Bring water!” the maestro yells at one of the younger healers before turning to you. “Caswell, I need you over here!”
You rush to his side and assess the knight’s condition. His leg is badly wounded, a deep cut through the muscle. Blood keeps coming through the wrapped bandage.
“I’ll need to clean this and stitch it closed,” you say. The sight of such a severe injury would have once made your stomach turn, but now, you see only the work that needs to be done.
The knight’s eyes flutter open as you begin to work, and he lets out a low groan of pain.
“You’re… the healer?” he rasps, his voice rough from pain and exhaustion.
“Yes,” you reply, your voice calm as you clean the wound. “Stay still, and I’ll cure this soon.”
He’s in pain but does his best to remain still. “Not what I expected,” he murmurs, a hint of amusement in his tone despite the situation.
“And what were you expecting?” you ask, keeping your focus on his leg.
“An ugly old maester with cold hands,” he says gritting his teeth. “Not… someone like you.”
“Sorry to disappoint.” you say in amusement.
He lets out a weak laugh before groaning in pain. “I’m not disappointed… just surprised.”
“You’re lucky to still be alive,” you say as you finish cleaning the wound. “The cut was deep. If you hadn’t been brought in when you were…”
The knight nods weakly. “Thank you… for saving my life.”
“I haven’t saved it yet,” you reply, threading your needle. “This will hurt, but it needs to be done.”
He grits his teeth and nods again, preparing himself for the pain. You work as quickly as you can, stitching the wound closed. Despite his discomfort, the knight bears, only grunting occasionally.
Once you finish, you sit back, wiping the sweat off your face. “There you go. It should heal well if you keep off it and give it time.”
The knight exhales, “Thank you… Lady—?”
“Caswell,” you say simply, not offering your full name. There’s no need for it here.
His brow lifts as if trying to place your family name, and you see the moment he realizes that your house is one of little significance. “Ah,” he says simply, “a Reach girl, then. Far from home.”
“I go where I’m needed,” you reply “as do most of us who serve.” You pause before you realize that you still don’t know his name. “And you are?”
“Ser Gwayne Hightower,” he says, giving you a small smile. “Of Oldtown.”
You pause at the name. You’ve heard of him before, of course—who hasn’t? The eldest son of Otto Hightower, the hand of the King.
You nod, standing up to gather your supplies. “Rest, Ser Gwayne. You’ll need your strength.”
As you turn to leave, he calls after you. “Lady Caswell?”
You pause, turning around. “Yes?”
“Will I… see you again?”
You can’t help but slightly smile at the question. “Only if you’re foolish enough to get yourself injured again.”
With that, you leave the tent, though his words linger in your mind.
The days pass on, and Ser Gwayne Hightower stays in the maester’s tent, recovering from his wounds. Despite the chaos and demands of the camp, you find yourself drawn to him more often than you’d expected. Every time you pass his bed to check on other patients, his eyes follow you. Sometimes, he even offers a tired smile.
You tell yourself it’s nothing. Just another soldier in need of care. But there’s something about him that keeps him in your mind.
One morning, as you tend to another patient, you hear his familiar voice call out from across the tent. "Lady Caswell!"
You sigh, trying to focus on the soldier’s arm, but Ser Gwayne does not give up.
“Lady Caswell,” he says again, this time louder, "I am dying of boredom over here. Come and put me out of my misery."
You finish your task, shaking your head, but you can’t help but smile. This has become routine, Ser Gwayne calling for you whenever you pass by, always with some comment or complaint. You try not to encourage him, but the man is relentless.
As you approach his bed, you find him sitting up on the bed, looking far better than he did when he first arrived. The color has returned to his face, and his leg, still bandaged, seems to be healing well.
“Shouldn’t you be resting?” you ask, crossing your arms as you look down at him.
He shrugs. “Resting is boring. I’ve been staring at the ceiling for days now. I think I’m going mad.”
“And what would you have me do about it?” you ask, raising an eyebrow.
“Talk to me,” he replies, as though it’s the most obvious thing in the world. “You’re the only one in this place with anything interesting to say.”
You roll your eyes, but the truth is, you like speaking with him. “And what exactly do you think is so interesting about me?”
He leans back against his pillow, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “For one, you’re the only woman I’ve met who’d rather patch up wounds than sit in some lord’s castle or pray to the gods.”
You tilt your head slightly, furrowing your eyebrows. “Is that your way of saying I’m strange?”
His smile widens. “Strange? No. Unusual, perhaps. A good kind of unusual.”
You suppress a laugh. Despite his status, he doesn’t seem to carry the same arrogance as some of the other knights you’ve tended. Still, you remind yourself why you’re here. You’re a healer, not some maiden looking for a knight’s attention.
“Well,” you say, “I’m here to heal wounds, not provide entertainment. If you’re well enough to chat, perhaps you should be focusing on getting better so you can leave the tent.”
“Leave?” Gwayne looks offended. “And abandon the finest healer in all the Seven Kingdoms? Never.”
You smirk. “Flattery will get you nowhere, Ser Gwayne.”
He chuckles but falls silent as you reach for the bandages around his leg. Carefully, you peel the cloth to examine the stitches. The wound looks clean—no signs of infection, and the stitches are holding well.
“You’ve been keeping your leg high, I hope?” you ask, meeting his gaze.
Gwayne nods, “Mostly.”
“Mostly?” you repeat, raising an eyebrow.
He shrugs, “A man can’t lie around forever. I’ve been getting up—only for a short walk around the tent, of course.”
You sigh, “You’ll undo all my hard work if you push yourself too soon.”
“Aye, but how else am I to win your favor?” he teases.
You shake your head, standing up. “You’d better focus on getting well before you concern yourself with winning anything.”
As you turn to leave, he calls after you again, this time more serious. “My lady.”
You pause but don’t turn around. “Yes?”
His voice is softer this time. “Thank you. Truly.”
You nod once before continuing on your way, trying to push the thought of him from your mind. You don’t have time for distractions, not with so many lives depending on you.
Over the next few days, Ser Gwayne’s persistence doesn’t fade. Every time you pass his bed, he finds some excuse to speak with you, to ask you how your day is. You try to remain professional, to keep your distance, but it becomes harder and harder to ignore the way his presence makes your heart skip a beat, even if only for a moment.
One evening, you find yourself alone for the first time in what feels like weeks. You’re sitting outside the maester’s tent, the cool breeze making you feel relieved at least for a moment. For a second, you allow yourself to close your eyes and breathe.
But, as if summoned by your thoughts, Gwayne appears, limping slightly as he approaches. “Lady Caswell,” he greets you.
You open your eyes and look up at him, surprised to see him outside of the tent. “You shouldn’t be walking,” you say.
He lowers himself onto the ground beside you, groaning as he does. “I needed some air,” he says quietly. “And I think you could use some company.”
You sit beside Ser Gwayne in the quiet of the night.
“You know,” Gwayne begins, his voice soft, “this is the longest conversation I’ve had in a while that didn’t revolve around injuries or strategy.”
You chuckle lightly. “I can imagine. It’s not easy finding moments of peace in a place like this.”
Gwayne nods. “I’ve been thinking about what you said before. About how you came here to make a difference.”
“Yeah?” you reply, looking at him.
Gwayne meets your eyes, “You’re doing more than most of us, you know. You’re saving lives, giving hope.”
You blush slightly, “It’s not always easy. Sometimes I wonder if I’m making any real difference.”
“You are,” he insists, reaching out to gently touch your hand. “I see it. I’ve seen the way you care for everyone, how you give everything you have.”
You feel a shiver at his touch, the warmth of his hand against yours.
Gwayne leans closer, his eyes searching yours. “I know this isn’t the place for… this,” he says softly, “but I needed to tell you how much I admire what you’re doing. And how much I appreciate you.”
Before you can say more, he gently closes the distance between you, pressing his lips to yours. You respond, feeling the passion and longing in the moment.
But as the kiss deepens, a wave of realization hits you. This isn’t the time, and it’s certainly not the place for such feelings to complicate matters. You pull back gently, your breath quick.
“I’m sorry,” you say softly, standing up. “We shouldn’t… We’re both here for important reasons, and this—” you gesture between you, “—isn’t right.”
Gwayne looks at you with understanding, his expression a mix of regret and affection. “I understand,” he says quietly. “It was a mistake.”
“No,” you correct him, “not a mistake. Just not the right time. We both have too much to focus on right now.”
He nods, his eyes filled with warmth and a touch of sadness. “Goodnight, Lady Caswell.”
“Goodnight, Ser Gwayne,” you reply, offering him a soft smile before turning away.
As you walk back to your tent, your mind is a whirl of emotions. The kiss was a moment of connection, but the reality of your situation settles in. You need to stay focused on your duties and not let personal feelings distract you from the important work ahead.
The next morning you found Lysa outside the tent, sitting on a barrel.
“You know,” she said as you sat down besides her, “I’ve seen the way that knight looks at you.”
You sigh, not in the mood for this conversation. “He’s recovering, Lysa. His mind is clouded with fever and pain. He probably doesn’t even know what he’s saying.”
Lysa chuckled, shaking her head. “No, his fever broke days ago. Trust me, that man knows exactly what he’s saying.”
You glance at her. “It’s nothing.”
“Is it?” she asked, raising an eyebrow. “I see the way you talk to him. You like him.”
You roll your eyes, “Lysa, I didn’t come here for this.”
“Maybe not,” she said, leaning back, her gaze shifting to the distant horizon, “but sometimes life gives you things you didn’t expect.”
You and Lysa were still talking near the tent when the distant thud of footsteps reached your ears. The sound wasn’t normal. It was too loud, too fast. Then, the shouting started.
“Attack!” someone yelled from the other side of the camp.
Soldiers were rushing to grab their weapons as a group of enemy soldiers burst through the camp, moving with terrifying speed.
You turned to Lysa. “We need to get the wounded out of here, now!”
Together, you rushed into the tent where the injured men lay, Ser Gwayne among them. He was awake but clearly in no condition to fight.
“What’s happening?” Ser Gwayne asked, struggling to sit up.
“The camp is under attack,” you replied quickly, moving to help another soldier out of his bed. “We need to move everyone before the raiders get here.”
Ser Gwayne tried to get up, but his leg gave out, and he collapsed back onto the bed. You hurried over to him, “You’re coming with us. No fighting.”
He frowned but didn’t argue.
More healthy soldiers rushed into the tent, and together, you began lifting the wounded onto a cart that had been brought to the entrance. You worked quickly, heart pounding, as the sounds of the attack grew closer.
One of the soldiers, helped you carry Ser Gwayne onto the back of the cart. “Let’s get them out of here!” he shouted.
The man climbed onto the driver’s seat, grabbing the reins of the horses. You and Lysa jumped up on the cart sitting with the wounded.
The horses raced forward, pulling the cart through the camp. You could see the flames now, the camp had been set on fire.
The wounded moaned and shifted with every bump, but there was no time to stop.
“We’re almost there,” the man muttered, his eyes scanning the horizon. You could see the cliffs that bordered the camp, and just beneath them, the mouth of the cave you had mentioned earlier.
The cave was deep enough to hide in, and for now, it was your only chance of getting everyone to safety.
As you neared the entrance, one of the soldiers riding beside the cart let out a sharp scream. You turned to see him clutching his side, an arrow protruding from between his ribs. He fell off his horse, but you couldn’t stop.
“No!” Lysa screamed in disbelief.
“We need to hurry!” you yelled, gripping the edge of the cart.
With a final burst of speed, the cart entered the cave’s mouth.
“We made it,” Lysa breathed, her voice trembling with relief.
You jumped down from the cart to help unload the wounded. The soldiers who had made it into the cave with you began pulling the injured men off the cart, laying them down on the cool stone floor. Ser Gwayne was the last one off, his face pale.
“Thank you,” he said quietly as you helped him to his feet.
“You can thank me when we’re safe,” you replied. Outside, you could hear the distant sounds of fighting in the camp, but for now, the cave was safe.
“We need to stay quiet,” Lysa whispered, moving to stand beside you. “If they find us here…”
“They won’t,” you said. You turned to Ser Gwayne, who was leaning against the cave wall. “How’s your leg?”
“I’ll manage,” he replied through gritted teeth. “But what now?”
You looked around the cave, your mind racing.
“We wait,” you said after a moment. “Just long enough for the fighting to stop. Then we move again.” See Gwayne nodded, although you could tell he wasn’t convinced.
The wounded soldiers groaned softly as they tried to make themselves comfortable on the rocky floor. Lysa sat beside one of them, her face tight with worry as she tended to their wounds.
The night dragged on, and the once distant sounds of battle now sounded closer every moment. You and Ser Gwayne sat at the back of the cave, listening to the clashing steel and the cries of men in the distance.
You stared up through the small opening at the top of the cave’s ceiling, where you could perfectly see the moon high in the sky. You glanced at Gwayne, who was leaning against the wall, his face pale and tense as he listened to the battle. His leg was stretched out in front of him, still causing him pain despite the bandages. Every now and then, you saw his hand twitch toward his sword, as though he were ready to fight again despite his injuries.
"They're not going to stop," you said softly, breaking the silence.
Gwayne looked at you, "No, they won't."
The battle was drawing closer. You had been hiding for hours, and the hope that the fighting would stop had vanished. Even if you went back, the camp would likely be destroyed, the supplies either burned or taken. There would be no help, no rescue.
"We might not make it through the night," you whispered.
Gwayne's gaze softened. He reached out and took your hand, squeezing it gently. "We might not," he agreed, his voice quiet.
“You ever think about how strange it all is?” Gwayne whispered after a moment. “One minute you’re fighting for your life, the next you’re here… staring at the moon.”
You smiled. “It is strange. But I suppose that’s life. Never quite what you expect.”
He laughed softly at that. “You’re far too calm about all of this. Most people would be panicking out of their minds.”
“Trust me, I’m frightened,” you admitted, meeting his gaze. “I just hide it well.”
He reached out, his hand brushing against yours, the touch sent a shiver down your spine, and you found yourself shifting closer to him.
“You’re something else,” he said softly, his voice low. There was an edge to his tone, something raw and unguarded.
You felt your pulse quicken. “Is that a compliment, Ser Gwayne?”
“It might be,” he replied, a teasing glint
You looked down at your joined hands. "I never thought it would end like this," you murmured, "In a cave, with nothing left but a few wounded men and no chance to save them."
Gwayne’s grip tightened. "It's not the end yet," he said, "But if it is…"
You took a deep breath, "If this is it… if this is the last night…" You said with a shaky voice, but you forced yourself to meet his eyes. "I don't want to spend it in fear."
Gwayne looked at you, he gave you a small chuckle. "You know… I've thought about that too. If we're going to die, why waste the time we have left in misery?"
You look at him, your gaze fixated on his lips "Then let's not."
Gwayne's eyes searched yours, and then, without another word, he pulled you toward him.
His lips met yours in a kiss that was both desperate and tender, filled with a need that went beyond mere desire.
He pulled you closer with his good hand. The kiss deepened, growing more desperate. You pressed yourself against him, your heart racing as his lips moved down pressing soft kisses against your neck.
He looked back up to you, “My leg’s no good for much, but I’m not about to let that stop us,” he whispered.
You smiled, “Then let me take over.”
Gently, you guided him down to the ground on his back, careful of his injured leg. He watched you with desperate eyes as you sat on top him, adjusting yourself carefully so as not to cause him pain. His hands instinctively slid to your hips, his touch firm but gentle.
Your hands rested on his chest, you could feel his heartbeat racing, matching the wild rhythm of your own. You leaned in close, pressing your lips to his with a tenderness that contrasted with the fierce urgency you both felt.
You broke the kiss for just a moment, sitting up to pull your shirt over your head. His eyes roamed over you with raw hunger, his hands sliding up to cup your breasts, thumbs brushing across your sensitive nipples.
“Beautiful,” he whispered, leaning up to press his lips against your collarbone, kissing his way down.
You gasped softly as his lips found a tender spot on your neck. Your hands moved to undo the ties at your waist, slipping out of your pants, leaving you completely bare before him.
With his help, you shifted slightly to tug his trousers down. He was already hard, his length pressing eagerly against your thigh as you settled back atop him. The tension between you both was almost unbearable as you pulled yourself up, the tip of him brushing against your wet entrance.
He groaned softly as you lowered your body and began to roll your hips against him. His hands gripped your waist tighter, helping to guide you as you moved.
“Does it hurt?” you whispered breathlessly.
He shook his head as he looked up at you. “No… it feels good. Don’t stop.”
“You’re perfect,” he breathed, his voice filled
with pleasure. He tilted his head up, capturing your lips in a kiss. Your bodies moved in sync, the sound of your panting breaths and the sounds of your bodies clashing filled the cave.
Your hands tangled in his hair, tugging gently as you kissed him harder, your hips rolling harder. You could feel yourself nearing your climax.
“Gwayne…” you gasped his name, breaking the kiss.
He groaned again, his eyes locked on yours as he thrust up into you with what strength he had,“I’m right here,” he whispered, his voice low.
That was all it took for you to come. Your body trembled as you reached your peak, your head falling back. You felt Gwayne follow moments later, his grip on you tightening as he came too, his body trembling beneath yours as he filled you.
For a long moment, neither of you moved, your breaths in uneven gasps. You collapsed against his chest, your bodies still connected.
His hands moved lazily up and down your back, a gentle, reassuring touch. You lifted your head, pressing a soft kiss to his jawline.
“That… was worth it,” Gwayne murmured, his lips quirking into a tired but satisfied smile.
You chuckled softly, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. “I think so too.”
“I think I can die at peace now.” Gwayne sighed gazing at the moon.
“I think so too.” you nodded smiling at him.

Ace Attorney Investigations Collection Announced
Tumblr media
At the Nintendo Direct today, news I have been tirelessly waiting six years for arrived: The Ace Attorney Investigations games are coming to all modern consoles! This includes Ace Attorney Investigations 2 (now officially known as Ace Attorney Investigations: Prosecutor's Gambit), after THIRTEEN YEARS of being a Japan-exclusive game!
Now everyone gets to experience Debeste Ace Attorney games! ... The Winner Ace Attorney Games!
Key Information
The collection is coming out on September 6, 2024 to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, XBOX One, Windows, and Steam. It will be available in Japanese, English, French, German, Korean, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese, with new voice dubs. Most of the information in this post will be coming from the official website, which you can check out for more details.
The reveal trailer is as follows:
youtube
There's lots of information here, so let's break it down:
New Features
Since these were originally Nintendo DS games, there's a massive jump in graphic quality to HD! This includes a new interface for Logic, the court record, and redone full-body sprites. But if you prefer the classic look, the AAI collection will let you swap between the sprite styles:
Tumblr media
Similarly to the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and 456 Collection, the AAI Collection includes story mode, dialogue history, a gallery containing concept and special art, and music including orchestral arrangements of the soundtrack.
You can also change the in-game soundtrack to rearranged tracks! This applies to Confrontation - Allegro, Confrontation - Presto, Objection 2009, and Pursuit - Chase Down The Truth (commonly known as Lying Coldly) with and without the intro.
Pre-Order Bonuses
Much like the AAI tracks, AAI2 arranged tracks can play in game, but these are currently restricted to pre-order bonuses (though this might change in the future). This includes Confrontation - Allegro 2011, Confrontation - Presto 2011, Objection 2011, and the intro and non-intro versions of Pursuit - Uncover The Truth (commonly known as Wanting To Find The Truth).
That's all on the English side, but much like the 456 collection, Japan has a physical collector's edition called the Mitsurugi (Edgeworth) Checkmate Set. This includes an arranged mini-album of songs by other composers, and new album art by Tatsuro Iwamoto.
Tumblr media
The new songs include "Objections of Different Eras" (seemingly a remix of Objections 2009 and 2011), "Raven that Pursues The Truth" (remix of Kay's theme), "It's Time for Action!" (remix of Gumshoe's theme), "Howling Echoes" (remix of Lang's theme), and "Unveiling the Truth" (remix of the Pursuit songs).
This collection also includes a diorama set:
Tumblr media
The set has two backgrounds (the rooftop of the Grand Tower and Edgeworth's office), and has standees of Edgeworth, Kay, Gumshoe, Franziska, Lang, Gregory, and... Verity and Eustace.
Which is a good segue into:
Localization Differences
Since most AA fans will be familiar with the fantastic AAI2 fan translation, the new names will likely be an adjustment for all of us. Characters in AAI (like Kay and Lang) will not have their names changed, just characters that were previously exclusive to AAI2.
Known name changes include:
Yumihiko Ichiyanagi / Sebastian Debeste -> Eustace Winner
Hakari Mikagami / Justine Courtney -> Verity Gavèlle
Tateyuki Shigaraki / Raymond Shields -> Eddie Fender
We also know that Manosuke Naito / Horace Knightley's new last name is Knight, and Gai Tojiro / Ethan Rooke's last name is Rook, which isn't much of a departure from fan translation names. We also know that Mikiko Hayami / Nicole Swift's new last name is Lloyd. I will provide updates on more names when they become available!
Regardless of your feelings on the new names - it's going to be an adjustment for everyone used to the fan translation that has been around ten years now - let's all keep in mind that despite the new names, the characters behind the names will be the same. And personally, as a massive fan of AAI2, I think the adjustment will be worth it if it means that more people get to experience my favorite ace attorney game for themselves.
With this announcement, all canonical ace attorney games have been ported to modern consoles and given an English translation. As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, this announcement is thirteen years in the making for AAI2! This is an unprecedented time for the popularity and accessibility of Ace Attorney.
(All we need now is the Layton crossover...)
Thank you all for joining me in this excitement and I look forward to collecting and sharing more updates as they arrive!

Trucy Wright Lore for my Royalty AU!
Yes there's actual magic in this AU, i mean, we have the Feys 😂I will write about the Feys (especially Maya) soon!
Alt Text: Trucy Wright (Gramarye)
A powerful pure-blood witch. The only descendant of Troupe Gramarye, a group of traveling magicians that's showing the world the acceptance of magic through fun and Interesting magic entertainment.
Her father was accused of killing her grandfather while traveling through the kingdom (Edgeworth's), causing the troupe to fall apart. Her father disappeared all of the sudden during his court hearing, while her uncle was temporarily jailed for tampering evidence with his magic before leaving the kingdom a few months later, planning to bring back Troupe Gramarye to its former glory alone. Her mother was presumed dead a year before the incident.
Phoenix Wright, who has some relations with her father decided to adopt her despite that his Grand Knight role was ripped off. With Eddie Fender's help, she managed to secure a home and a job at wonder bar as a magic entertainer to help with her family's living cost.
She has a puppet familiar and best magic assistant named "Mr Hats".
He can change his size from big to small under her command. He has a conscious mind of his own too, moving and flying however he wants. He cannot speak by himself, but Trucy can understand him well, and sometimes he would be used for ventriloquism.
It was said that her old father created him for her, but the design of Mr Hats resembling her old father was Trucy's choice at that time.
Mr hats doesn't like being away from his master unless commanded, very protective of her. Tends to hide under her cape.
He can carry people too. (Max 2 ppl)
Every witch and wizard needs one or more tools to calibrate their proper magic output and accuracy.
Trucy's magic tools are her thin golden baton and diamond-shaped brooch.
Trucy can cast any kind of magic spells, an All-rounder.
She loves harmless magic, thus her main magic specialty is Illusion and light magic.
Also likes card magic too, because no magic output is required most of the time.
Wizards/witches and magic are still not well known around the world as they tend to hide themselves away from normal humans due to the danger of their magic as weapons of war and maintaining the purity of their magic bloodline.
It Is extremely rare to see a wizard/witch that mingles In the human society as they tend to be travelers or those that left their magic society on their own violation to live with humans.
Humans still fear the presence of magic, and some have hatred towards them. Troupe Gramarye left their magic society to counter that Issue. They are well accepted In Edgeworth's Kingdom due to their history with the old king Edgeworth.
Note: Trucy's outfit for this AU can be exactly replicated from her original design outfit except the witch hat, but I want to change more details that differentiate between the original and Royalty AU.

Hiiiii thanks for making my day your the best, I give you so many hug (or high fives if you don't want hugs!) If I may ask can you write a broken relationships with malleus pretty please with a cheery on top? ( Also can I be lizard anon please! 🦎)
I would gladly accept any and all hugs! And I will devour that cherry while I write this-
Malleus I feel would be one of the ones that actually would be a good sibling so it's difficult to think about how a broken sibling relationship with him would be lol
Note: I haven't read any of Chapter 7 yet
Request Rules and Masterlists
Broken Sibling relationships
Malleus as a sibling (Broken relationship)
To say that you and Malleus were different would've been an understatement.
Even as kids, you two were very different. He was always treated as the best and the golden child, seen with much love, and he was naturally talented at just about anything. He had no problems with magic, no threats, and no flaws. He was the perfect heir for the throne of Briar Valley
And you? You were his younger sibling.
Compared to Malleus, you were never anyone's priority
Of course, you had servants and knights helping you just like him, but anything Malleus needed always took priority
Your help could be taken away at any moment for the sake of Malleus getting help
In the beginning, it didn't bother you as much because you and Malleus were together a lot of the time! He would spend a lot of time with you, and the two of you had so much fun together
You two would spend hours together in the library, and Malleus would read to you books on magic and history, but he got really passionate when he read about gargoyles. The two of you even ran around the castle once, trying to identify each gargoyle, both of your laughter echoing through the halls for guards and servants to hear
But as the years went by, things changed. Malleus had to become more of the heir he's meant to be. He spent most of his time alone or surrounded by guards
You started to get used to being in Malleus' shadow and not taking priority. Your brother had helped you feel less alone and more equal in the past, but he was too busy for you now
everything only got worse once you two had gone to Night Raven College
Malleus was praised from the moment he got there of course. He was recognized as one of the greatest and best of everyone there. He even had knights in training with him here, and a personal greeting from the headmage. You however...
"Who are you?"
You weren't even recognized or known. Not to the headmage, not to anyone. Why would you be? You aren't the heir of Briar Valley. You aren't the great wizard that Malleus is. And you aren't nearly as important.
Even after explaining who you were, people would just go "Oh." and ask about Malleus
To them, you might as well not even have a name. You were barely noticed. Barely recognized. And even when you were, you were simply known as Malleus' sibling. Nothing more.
And to top it all off: You weren't even invited to things
If people couldn't remember to invite Malleus, there's no way they remembered you. They probably didn't even know you existed. You're just in the background
You saw all the games he played in, all the praise he got, heck one of his knights practically worshiped the ground he walked on, but not when it came to you
People avoided him, they didn't notice or ignored you
Eventually, your birthday came around, and of course, no one noticed. Malleus didn't even see you at all, and didn't say anything
Your own brother didn't remember your birthday...
Are you cursed or something? Cursed to never be seen? Cursed to forever live a life that no one will notice? It's so cruel...
It's not like you wanted anything grand. You didn't need some big fancy party for your birthday
You just wanted to be acknowledged. For one day.
But compared to Malleus, you might as well be insignificant. He shone too brightly for anyone to even see you, hidden in his shadow
Even on a day that should be dedicated to you, he was the one being praised and followed around. He was the one everyone adored. Malleus, the prince of Briar Valley...
You were insignificant, unimportant, ignored
At this point, you can't even help but wonder if even Malleus himself forgot about you completely
you had assumed that was the case
that is, until you opened the your door the next morning. Sitting outside was a neatly wrapped gift box, and inside, a small gargoyle statue
