this is going to be dc x danny phantom x miraculous ladybug x spiderman
pt 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
for those who aren't familiar with every show, here's a lore explanation
---
jazz fenton and constantine had met, of course, on a dreary december night, when rain had poured ominously. with thundering clouds above, constantine had blinked awake from a coma-like nap to the sound of knocking on his apartment door.
a wet and scowling jazz had stood on the other side, orange hair stuck to her skin and shaking hands gripping a leather tome to her chest. despite her shaky appearance, she spoke clearly, southern drawl shaping the vowels uniquely, "john constantine? my name's jazz fenton, may i come in?"
"no."
trying to slam the door shut had no affect, as she had simply shoved the book in the way.
"i really need your help."
"fuck off."
constantine blocked the open slit with his body as she shimmied her knee in for more leverage.
"i'm a history student at gotham u." another mini scuffle as both pushed against the door. "i'm looking for information on an old myth." constantine tried using his hip to push the tome out of the way. "do you know about lazarus pits?"
constantine rebooted his brain to shake away the shock. clearing his throat, he backed away, the door squeaking on its hinges to show the smirking girl. "may i come in?"
the australian man scoffed and drifted away to the kitchen table. the student surveyed the crappy apartment as she followed, sitting down across from him with a relieved grunt. she put the book on the table.
he eyed the girl warily, "what's this about lazarus pits? where'd you hear it?"
she cleared her throat, back straight and hands crossed on her lap. if it wasn't for her sorry state, she would be the image of professional.
"i'm not in a position to discuss my sources. however, from what i've heard, there's one underneath this city." her eyes glinted a steely aquamarine. "i need to see it."
constantine barked a gruff laugh. "you're crazy. there isn't a chance in hell ranga." he jerked his head at the book on the table. "what's with that then?"
her hands flipped its pages, stopping at a detailed drawing of a bubbling pit. upside down, it was hard for constantine to decipher. "it says in here that long ago, bubbling pits of green water were used by witches to speak with the dead. they could only be found in places with a strong lack of godly devotion, invoking satan's forces." she huffed, a sad smile lifting her face. "if i can confirm gotham's lazarus pit and what it consists of, i can further argue the existence of gotham's own witch coven in the 1600s before the salem trials. for my thesis, of course."
"for your thesis," constantine echoed, a bit mockingly.
"of course." repeated jazz pleasantly. "if you're so unwilling to come along, a few directions would suffice."
the man snarled, "no dice kiddo, scram."
jazz seemed unfazed, gathering herself up with the grace of a dancer. sweeping the book back into her hands, she walked towards the doorway. under the frame, she turned to tutt at him, "i'd spray some air freshner in here. cigarrette smoke attracts unfavorable forces."
---
jazz fenton did not disappear nor fade into obscurity. constantine had the pleasure of her company the following wednesday, where both had escaped certain death at the hands of a cursed portrait pulling unassuming tourists into its french landscape.
sat in the ruins of a crumbling mansion, constantine lit his cigarrette and studied the girl across from him. "so, how did your research lead you here?"
jazz snorted, decorative mace still in hand even after the fight had ended, "property records were transferred to the gotham government after the trials. just had to figure out what victim it was connected to and, voila, witch mansion."
---
after much persuasion and conversation, constantine decided that this girl, with the smarts for battle and a deep intuision for the magical, would be his prodigy. and if her company included good banter, fatherly worries and emotional attachment, that was neither here nor there.
---
two years later, jazz fenton was a doctor in historical studies of gotham folklore, a museum consultator and a justice league dark probationary member.
batman and zatanna, both well aware of the orphan constantine had taken under his wing, had not been surprised to greet her at the door of the australian's apartment.
"sorry for the mess guys, we've been drawing all night." they shimmied across the paper covered floor into the kitchen where the blonde was eating a bowl of cereal. "we've narrowed down the source of the problem somewhat. last thursday, what you saw on that hill, we think it might be an old gaelic deity, cailleach."
zatanna frowned at the idea, "a gaelic deity? deities don't leave their countries."
constantine spoke through a garble of cheerios, "yes but what if they weren't this earth's deity?"
batman remained silent and jazz spoke to him, "when a deity is borne from worship or belief, they tend to only exist there."
"something only exists if it is observed." the bat mused.
jazz brightened, "yes! deities only exist in the countries that they're observed in. however, we believe this cailleach is not our scotland's deity but rather doesn't exist tied to a reality at all."
"but a deity can't exist without a belief well," zatanna replied.
"well, yes," constantine stood up and dragged over a vintage drawing of an old woman in a cloak, her hand wielding a hammer, "but what if someone could die and leave their reality's vibrations? go neither to their hell or heaven or hades' underworld or valhalla or whatever else, and take their beliefs with them?"
"you're talking about the infinite realms."
"the infinite realms?" intoned batman.
jazz showed the caped man a note, this time a depiction of a vast land with floating islands and starry skies. "the infinite realms is a different dimension. it exists on another plane, like icthultu's realm. when we talk about the afterlife, bad or good, every reality has their own. however, the infinite realms can sometimes bleed into every reality. because of this, souls touched by its essence can slip the afterlife and go on to exist in the infinite realms."
"if you were to die bats," constantine leaned back, "there would only be one batman wherever we go after death. but in the infinite realms, you could have 2 or 5 or 10, all dead and from different worlds."
zatanna hummed at all this and looked closer at the runes they'd compiled, "so if a hardcore cailleach believer passed on to the infinite realms, cailleach could come to life there."
constantine snapped his finger, "exactly! that's the theory, but really, it only works if the ghost monster that attacked the park next to the hill is the belief well. not really human-like but a possibiliy. the infinite realms has a bad habit of creating weird shit."
"can we expect more creatures to come from the infinite realms?" asked batman.
"no." "maybe."
jazz and constantine whipped their heads to exchange irritated stares. the australian man got up roughly, chair scraping the floor, and took his bowl to the sink, the faucet water breaking the silence.
jazz sat down, gesturing for their two guests to finally sit. she reached underneath the table towards a purple backbag, and pulled out her old book tome. flipping it open, she showed the pit drawing to the other two heroes.
"what if the lazarus pits were connected to the infinite realms?"
zatanna leaned in, intrigued, batman remained stone faced, and constantine scoffed loudly. the blonde began muttering but jazz continued on. "i believe ra's tried to erase all records of the pits, but mentions of reviving waters can be found all across cult scripts and witch coven writings. waters that could bring back the dead, that whispered with human voices, that sometimes held goulish creatures underneath its waters. a material thick and glowing green penetrating the soil around it. the only evidence of the infinite realms is a page from doctor fate, and he mentioned a green, jelly-like substance!"
constantine huffed again, like an angry boar, and turned, hands covered in soap suds. "i swear to god, you're making connections where they don't exist! if the pits had anything to do with the infinite realms, that would've been the first thing doctor fate told us!"
jazz stood, hands planted on the table, "if you would just trust me, we could go check and rule it out, but ancients forbid i'm right! you're just scared about wha-"
constantine got close to her and pointed in her face, "you've been obsessed with those pits since you stepped into my goddamn apartment two years ago, let it go jazz or i swear i'll pull you off this case."
a thousand emotions flickered across jazz's face before, with teary eyes and a thunderous scowl, she stomped away, figure disappearing into the living room. faintly, the sound of the balcony doors sliding open echoed before a soft click followed.
zatanna, who had witnissed many of jazz and constantine's fights before, and knew how deeply the man cared for the girl, heaved a sigh. both were stubborn and it would take a bit before things settled. she decided to keep quiet, reaching for jazz's tome to keep occupied. as she reached across, a soapy hand impeded her. looking at constantine, he wore a frown, "she doesn't like others touching it. go look at the runes, see if you recognize anything."
zatanna smiled a small thing at the man she was so fond of, and got up to do so.
batman, who had watched everything with mixed feelings, watched the australian go back to the sink. faced with his back, he spoke lowly, "the pit's too far away from the park."
constantine sighed, shoulders drooping, "no, it wouldn't work like that. if it did, anyone revived by the pit would have to stay close to it. and if you destroy some of them, the undead might go back to being dead."
batman mulled this over in silence. he was undecided on the matter, too concerned about what it meant that the pits might be doors to another dimension. he conveyed his worries then, "if the pits are connected to the realms, how were we able to destroy them before?"
"if, and that's a big fucking if, they are connected to the realms, the essence can't be destroyed. it's all around us, all the time. the important bit is stacking it in one place to create a way through. like a stone bridge. when you destroy the pits, all you're doing is breaking up the stone, but the stone crumbles to the bottom, and you could, hypothetically, pick up each stone and put it together again. i guess the only things that works as a glue for it in our world is water."
"you're pretty calm discussing it now."
"one of these days that girl's gonna end up digging a hole she'll die in."
"kids are like that."
---
later on, when the apartment meeting had ended with no new leads and batman had debriefed the other bats, it was decided, unknown to constantine, that red robin and batman would look into the current state of the gotham lazarus pit. zatanna and martian manhunter would visit arabia to check the other naturally formed pit.
constantine and jazz were still on the fritz, but one evening, to constantine's concern, the girl had called to say she would be in illinois for a few days, "visiting the orphanage". the redhead had never done so before, but who was the australian to interrogate her? he wished her a good trip and that was that.
---
jazz had been missing for two weeks, calls unanswered, phone untrackable. gotham had witnessed two more ghost-like monster attacks, and all three of them had been untouchable, disappearing on their own in 30 minutes. the bats were too concerned with uncovering the source, justice league dark had been put on the case and too was scrambling for clues, and constantine was ready to rip his hair out in concern for his prodigy.
on his way to the airport, in the backseat of a taxi, ready to fly to springfield, his phone rang, lighting up with a smiling graduation picture of jazz fenton.
he rushed to answer it, "hello?! ranga?! jazz!"
crackling came through, the mic rustling before a breathless voice called back, "cons---tine! we ne--- help! i'm outs--- f amity park, th--- a sig---al blo---. you n---d to come! the hou--- a portal! --- stantine?! hello?!"
the line cut off. constantine told the taxi driver to floor it.

THANK YOU for understanding that ADRIAN should be the one adopted by the batfam and not Marinette 😭 he fits the bill so perfectly (matinette kinda does too but she has loving parents 🫶)
i see the argument that because she has black hair and blue eyes she should be adopted and i sigh a little bit like i get where you're coming from!! she's clever and a problem solved and a natural leader but!!!! Adrian fits the bill for adoption much better? and also i think the batfam deserve to kick the shit out of all the adult figures in his life (besides his bodygaurd i think? in my au he's chill)
if i wrote this though, i would not be using canon. i just can not bring myself to watch it again and i would rather write my own version in all honesty. and i would also make the universes combined rather than dimension hopping like LoF

Enigma With A J: Chapter 2
𝔾𝕚𝕟𝕒 𝔻𝕡𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕖
Gina Dupaine was on her way home from her late-night shift at the flower shop, the cobblestone streets echoing with her footsteps. Gotham City was never truly quiet, but the alleyways had a certain kind of stillness that made her skin crawl. Her heels clicked rhythmically against the pavement, a stark contrast to the distant wail of a siren. It was a sound that had become almost comforting in its regularity. But tonight was different.
Her ears perked up at the faint cry of a baby, a sound so out of place in this concrete jungle. She paused, her hand resting on her chest as she took a deep breath. Her instincts screamed at her to keep walking, to not get involved, but something in that tiny, desperate sound tugged at her heartstrings. Against her better judgment, she turned into the alley, her eyes adjusting to the gloom as she moved closer to the sound.
There, nestled in a cardboard box, she found a newborn girl, no more than a few hours old, her tiny fists clenched as she wailed into the night. Gina's maternal instincts took over, and she scooped the baby into her arms, the warmth of the child's body seeping into her soul. The baby's cries subsided into whimpers as Gina held her close, her eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. She knew she couldn't leave the baby there, not in a place where the most innocent could fall prey to the city's darkness.
The decision to take the child home with her was made in a heartbeat. As she cradled the baby against her chest, she whispered a promise to keep her, to give her a life filled with love and hope. The child she had just rescued was the daughter of a woman who had crossed paths with one of the city's most notorious criminals, a man whose very name sent shivers down the spines of even the bravest souls. But for now, all that mattered was the warm, fragile life she held in her arms, and the love she had to offer.
Gina took the baby to Gotham General Hospital, where the nurses and doctors were shocked by the condition she was in—so new to the world, yet so abandoned. The authorities were called, and they searched tirelessly for any trace of the mother, but she remained as elusive as the night that had swallowed her. With no relatives to claim her, the baby was handed over to Child Protective Services, the system designed to protect the innocent from the harsh realities of a city that often forgot to do so itself.
The thought of the baby girl growing up in the cold embrace of the system was too much for Gina to bear. She knew the risks of a Gotham orphan—how quickly they could be swallowed up by the darkness that lurked in every shadow. With a fierce determination, she called Tom and Sabine Dupain-Cheng, friends she had made while they were all students in Paris. The couple had since started their own family bakery and were expecting their own child, a little girl they had decided to name Marinette.
When Gina told them her story, her voice trembling with emotion, Tom and Sabine felt a surge of protectiveness for this tiny stranger. They knew the dangers of Gotham all too well—it was a place where even the most innocent could become collateral damage. They decided to take a leap of faith and try to adopt the baby, to give her a chance at a life filled with love and light. Despite the challenges that lay ahead, they were determined to be her beacon in the storm.
The adoption process was a labyrinth of paperwork and bureaucracy, but the Dupain-Chengs navigated it with the help of Gina's local knowledge and their unyielding resolve. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the day arrived when they could officially welcome her into their lives. They named her Jade, a nod to the emerald spark that seemed to burn in her eyes—a spark they hoped would never be dimmed by the shadows of her past.
With Jade now a part of their family, they packed up their lives in Gotham and headed to Paris, eager to start anew. The city of love and lights offered them a fresh start, a place where they could raise both Marinette and Jade in safety. As they boarded the plane, Gina watched over the sleeping babies, feeling a mix of relief and excitement for the journey that lay ahead. Little did she know exactly how much trouble that innocent face could really cause.

i was recently confronted to the reality that in a realistic dc x mlb crossover, paris and gotham would fight like wild dogs for the title of most unhinged city on earth like it’s some kind of honour

Anyone have any recs for DC probably-crossover fics with one-sided romance with “stalking as a love language”-y stuff?
Like, one of the Bat Family’s kids has a crush on someone, and does the stalker-y stuff researching/spying on them that i’ve seen pretty often in such fics. Except their feelings are not reciprocated and it’s treated more realistically in a “stalking is really bad” way.
There’s nothing wrong with stories including not-super-healthy stuff in romance, but like I’ve seen that plot point often enough want to see it deconstructed/subverted.
I’m most familiar with the trope in DC crossovers with Danny Phantom or Miraculous Ladybug, so I’m mainly looking for those, but I’m open to other crossover types or pure DC fics as long as they fit the request.
Heck I’m cool with it not even being romantic as long as the “criticizing stalking” part is sufficiently present (e.g. Stalking Astronauts: Gotham's Latest Social Media Craze! has similar actions be criticized in relation to adoption jokes that make Danny uncomfortable)

I've been reading a lot of Batfam crossovers and I really enjoy them! Danny Phantom, Spider-Man and Miraculous Ladybug.
Right now, I'm reading miraculous Ladybug because I have younger family members, and they love that shit. However, I've noticed that with fics that the main character would usually be Marinette.
And I was like, "????" Because one person fit better, and to me, that's Adrien. Kids got so much trauma that he'd fit right in!
Imagine Adrien telling the batfam that he was a sentimonster. That his father used rings to control everything you do. Imagine him telling them that his father was practically severely abusive and neglectful to the point he'd thought some of those things were normal.
Imagine him just randomly acting like a cat due to the miraculous side effects. I love him just having a lot of cat features to the point that he's considered a cat meta.
Imagine him mentioning Chat Noir stuff. But casually, to hide his identity.
Adrien: Dying wasn't too bad.
Batfam, concerned: You’ve died before?
Adrien: yeah atleast *counting how many times he could remember* 5 times... probably more
Batfam: w h a t
Like I'd love Adrien to be in the Batfam instead of Marinette, don't get me wrong, I love her, but imagine.
Tim trains Chat Noir in the Bo-staff, Catwoman teaches him how to be sneaky (he becomes her favorite). Dick and him make puns every battle. Damian uses him to attract as many cats as possible.
Duke is no longer the only meta style teen, Jason has another member who has a more destructive way of dealing with things.
Cass has a new member to bond with, terrible fathers who cared but not in a good way. Steph sees another goofy member who knows how to lighten up. Bruce sees a boy young and innocent but has still seen too much. Like every child he's come across.
Give me more Adrien in Gotham fics. He's literally perfect for the Batfam. If anything, Marinette should go to Superfam. She's the day to Chat Noirs night like how Superman is the day to Batmans night.
Very, very long rant. I like Adrien, I need him to have an actual father figure who won't completely fuck him up.
Anyways... I'm actually begging for a fic to be made... someone spread this to someone because I know this app won't spread this to the people I need 😭

this is going to be dc x danny phantom x miraculous ladybug x spiderman
pt 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
for those who aren't familiar with every show, here's a lore explanation
---
when marinette had reached out to cat blanc, her heart bled with conflict. she had been wrong to give adrien the gift, wrong to use her powers for selfish reasons. regret coursed through her veins, sadness clouded her face with tears, and hatred brewed at the man gabriel agreste chose to be. her last visage was that of cat blanc kneeling in pain and her heart hurt for him.
---
peter parker had not survived his encounter with the vulture on the beach. he had enough time to tie the man up but amongst the scattered debris and plane cargo on the sand, he had slowly fallen to one knee, and then the other, before slumping forward with a last breath.
his only thought was that may parker would have dinner alone, and what kind of nephew was he to miss family dinner?
---
red robin did not trust many people. his family and his titans, undoubtedly. in a professional capacity, a few of the justice leaguers and close colleagues like gordon. outside of that, he tended to tread with caution. like every robin before and after, it was hard to refuse batman's particular brand of paranoia. dick had always stood out by sometimes (the key being sometimes) refusing bruce's hardheaded wariness. jason had the emotional intelligence of a pumpkin, though he would cooperate with "untrustwrothy allies" just to spite bruce. it fell on to tim, then, to be a carbon copy of his mentor. c'est la vie, and all that.
when batman received a call from constantine asking for technological help, red robin eyed the comm warily. justice league dark needed every member available due to the recent ghost cases and the australian running off had been bad timing.
"batman," the man's voice was serious and fast-paced in the echo of the cave, "jazz called from illinois, the call cut out, bad signal or something. she was panicking. i need you to try and trace it."
batman hadn't needed to say anything, red robin had already begun to search for all state phone towers emitting a weird signal.
"springfield isn't turning up anything."
"no, no," constantine denied bruskly, "she mentioned another place, amity park. i don't know where the fuck that is, she's never talked about it."
oracle, from her corner of the computer wall, piped in, "jazz fenton was transferred to springfield's house for wandering girls when her family passed away in a house fire in amity park."
"why would she visit her family house after all this time?" batman mused.
"well," barbara continued, "says here the house was passed to her name when she came of age. maybe she finally wanted to check on it."
"she wouldn't just leave," constantine pressed, "she was obsessed with the ghost cases we've got going on."
red robin stopped his typing to read the silenced comm link blaring at the edge of the screen. "batman, we've got zatanna online."
"oracle, patch her through."
while zatanna spoke to oracle through her headset, red robin frowned at the messages on the terminal. signals across the town were poor, barely enough to reach springfield. anything further than that was a miracle connection. citizens would have to direct all communication to springfield before accessing the wider world. red robin tried pingponging the signal to other stronger towers but they were incompatible. his frown deepened. what obscure provider did they contract for the town?
"batman," oracle called, voice steely, "we've got news about arabia.
the pit disappeared."
---
"superman," spoke red robin's voice through his earpiece. clark winced. sudden calls with no warning were the bats' specialty, no matter how disliked it was.
"hello to you too."
"busy in metropolis?"
clark stared from his place in the sky at the traffic jam on the expressway. he shrugged, "no, not really."
"great, i'm sending you coordinates to jazz fenton, she works with the jld. 45 minutes ago her call to constantine cut off. it's the first time she's talked to him in two weeks, gone missing somewhere in illinois."
clark darted through the air, red robin's no-nonsense voice cluing him in on the severity of the situation. he didn't know jazz fenton nor constantine very well, but a fellow hero in need of help was always an important matter.
he zoned in on the blinking dot of his wrist watch - a justice league perk from the bat himself.
"any idea what i'm going to get?"
"not really," red robin drawled, "all we know is she sounded like she was in a panic. the location isn't hers, it's her phone signal before it cut off."
"alright, be there in 5."
---
tucker foley blew a bubble with his gum, letting it pop in boredom as he walked down the sidewalk. it was a sunny weekend afternoon, and the record store had sold out of chappell roan albums already. probably paulina again. he couldn't be too mad, it was probably the lesbian gods favoring an actual lesbian.
the town was a bit more busy than usual. it was thanksgiving week and all the out of state family members were passing by to reunite.
nobody in the hustle of the square really stood out; there went the baxters arguing about how many potatotes were needed for dinner, and mr. lancer with his new partner (a boston dentist, mrs. babette had whispered over the grocery aisle last week).
pulling out his phone, he dialed sam. they were meeting later tonight, but tucker felt it was important to pass on that the dentist was wearing gothic clothing.
just as sam muttered a clipped "what do you want?" from the receiver, two very strange things happened before tucker foley.
one, a weird object whizzed through the air, too fast for the naked eye to fully figure out. tucker thought it was superman, which would've been pretty cool, but it was probably a fighter jet from the nearby base. they'd never taken their jets out before, but what did tucker know about military operations?
secondly, and perhaps the most important one, was a flash of ginger hair out of the corner of his eye. he turned to look, and the figure hurrying down the street made his breath catch. distant memories of a boy's laughter rang in his head as he watched jazz fenton, older and looking harried, basically speedwalk with her phone in hand.
he choked as he swallowed his gum.
"sam," he whispered, the girl replying with a worried "tucker?"
"sam, i think i just saw jasmine fenton."

So I asked ChatGPT:
"Which of these three is a better crossover to DC's Batfamily and why (with rankings): Danny Phantom, Miraculous Ladybug, or Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spiderman"
and here's their answer, word per word (copy-pasted and all)=
"Crossing over characters into the DC Batfamily involves evaluating how well each character's abilities, personality, and storyline could integrate with the themes and dynamics of Gotham City and the Batfamily. Let's analyze each character:
1. Danny Phantom
Pros:
Theme Compatibility: Danny Phantom's ghost-hunting and supernatural elements can mesh well with Gotham's dark and often eerie atmosphere.
Character Fit: Danny has a strong sense of justice and a personal struggle with dual identities, similar to Batman's struggle as Bruce Wayne and Batman.
Skills and Abilities: Danny's ghost powers offer unique abilities that can complement the Batfamily's more grounded skill sets.
Cons:
Tone Difference: Danny Phantom has a lighter, more comedic tone compared to the typically dark and serious tone of the Batfamily stories.
2. Miraculous Ladybug (Marinette Dupain-Cheng)
Pros:
Heroic Traits: Marinette is resourceful, strategic, and deeply cares about protecting her city, traits that align well with the Batfamily's values.
Partnership Potential: Ladybug’s teamwork and reliance on her partner, Cat Noir, can translate well into working with the Batfamily.
Skills and Abilities: Her Miraculous powers, such as the Lucky Charm and her agility, could offer unique advantages in combat and problem-solving.
Cons:
Setting and Tone: The bright, optimistic setting of Paris in Miraculous Ladybug might clash with Gotham’s darker, grittier environment.
Youthful Tone: The show’s youthful, sometimes romantic themes might not blend seamlessly with the more mature and intense themes in Batfamily stories.
3. Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
Pros:
Theme Compatibility: Spider-Man’s street-level crime-fighting and personal struggles resonate well with the Batfamily's narratives.
Character Fit: Peter Parker's intelligence, sense of responsibility, and youthful energy can complement characters like Robin and Batgirl.
Skills and Abilities: Spider-Man’s agility, spider-sense, and web-slinging abilities can add a new dimension to the Batfamily’s crime-fighting techniques.
Cons:
Existing Lore: Integrating a well-established character from the Marvel Universe into the DC Universe could be more complex due to existing fan expectations and lore.
Ranking and Reasoning
Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man
Reason: Spider-Man’s character traits and abilities align closely with the Batfamily’s dynamics. His themes of responsibility, intelligence, and youthful energy make him a natural fit for collaborations with characters like Robin and Batgirl. Additionally, his crime-fighting style and personal struggles resonate well with Gotham’s themes.
Danny Phantom
Reason: Danny’s dual identity, sense of justice, and supernatural abilities offer a unique blend that can enhance the Batfamily’s operations. While the tone difference is a consideration, his character’s core values and abilities make him a strong contender for integration into the Batfamily.
Miraculous Ladybug
Reason: While Marinette’s resourcefulness and heroism are admirable, the tone and setting of Miraculous Ladybug present a more significant challenge for seamless integration into the darker, more mature world of Gotham. Her abilities and teamwork skills are valuable but might require more adjustments to fit perfectly into the Batfamily’s universe.
In conclusion, Spider-Man ranks highest for his natural thematic and character alignment with the Batfamily, followed by Danny Phantom for his complementary abilities and character traits, and lastly, Miraculous Ladybug, whose tone and setting present the most significant integration challenges."

Enigma with a J: Chapter 1
𝕆𝕟𝕖 ℕ𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕟𝕕
This is a prompt by @sayuricorner. I’m sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I hope you like it!
The Riddler, or Edward Nygma, walked into a bar, his usual extravagant attire and infamous question mark insignia swapped for ripped black jeans and a tight button up shirt that showed his arm tattoos to full glory. An extensive collection of various flowers, skulls and swords decorated his biceps, along with a large snake along his left forearm. However, on his right forearm, a large question mark branded it, surrounded by hundreds of fingerprints in pale black ink. “Vodka. Straight.” he said to the bartender, who stood paralysed at the sight of him. He looked up, his emerald green eyes shimmering in a deathly promise. “Do I need to repeat myself?” The bartender quickly shook his head and ran to the back, grabbing his drink in a minute, tops. He nodded gruffly and took a large swig, almost drowning half the glass. Smacking his lips together, he smirked and put his legs up on the table as everyone hesitantly went back to their casual conversation. Suddenly, a girl placed a hand on his thigh. “How are you doing?” she purred, looking him in the eye as she did so. Edward’s eyes peaked with interest. Either the girl was too naive to know who he was or too drunk to care. “Just fine m’lady.” he said in a deep voice, and the girl moved her hand to his inner thigh, smirking even more. “Really? Because you look like you’re in need of a good time~” she said insistently, and the Riddler shrugged, as if to say, why not. "What's your name?" she asked, her voice barely a murmur in the dimly lit room.
"Why, it's a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma," he replied with a playful smile. He leaned closer, his green eyes piercing through the shadows.
The girl, young and unassuming, laughed nervously. "Come on, really?"
"Alright, let's just say I enjoy puzzles," he conceded, his smile growing wider. "What's yours?"
Her heart raced as she whispered, "Call me...yours." She didn't know why she didn’t just answer, but something about him made her feel like she needed to protect herself. They had met at the Gotham City nightclub, a place where the music was loud and the lights were low, and secrets were as plentiful as the drinks, but had left and arrived at a shady apartment in the many nooks and crannies the city was so desperate to hide. She had been swept away by his charm, his wit, and the thrill of the unknown. Now, in the quiet of the apartment, she wished she knew more about the man who had captured her attention so completely as he took off his shirt, and hers alongside it. As he pulled her into the sheets, and made her adrenaline rush like it had never been before. As she felt like she was drowning and floating at the same time when she finally drifted off into a deep sleep.
The next morning, Ivy woke to the harsh light of day filtering through the blinds. She sat up with a start, her eyes scanning the unfamiliar room. It was small and compact, but you couldn’t say it didn’t look elegant. It had a way, she determined as she examined the neat double bed in the centre of the one room, a small kitchen in the corner and a large TV in front, a way that made it look larger than it really was. As her eyes analysed the room, they landed back on the man in front of her. She smiled at his sleeping face and his arms draped over his head, his hair a mess on his eyes. As her hands moved it away, her gaze caught a tattoo on his forearm. Furrowing her brow in confusion, she examined his arm more closely. Then she saw it—the question mark insignia on the man's forearm, stark against his pale skin. The realization hit her like a freight train, her eyes widening as she almost choked. She had spent the night with The Riddler, Gotham's infamous trickster and nemesis of the Dark Knight. Panic flooded her veins as she threw on her clothes and bolted out the door without a backward glance.
Three weeks later, Ivy faced an even bigger shock than her fateful encounter with the enigmatic villain. Two pink lines stared back at her from the pregnancy test. The world seemed to tilt on its axis as she tried to process the gravity of her situation. The Riddler, a father? Her mind reeled at the thought.
Torn between fear and wonder, she made her decision. She couldn't abort the child—not after seeing the look of innocence in her own mother's eyes when she had been born. But she couldn't keep the baby either. Not with the kind of life she had. So, she waited until the day came, the day she knew she had to let go.
The night was cold and unforgiving as she placed the tiny bundle wrapped in a soft, pink blanket into the alleyway. She whispered a silent prayer to any deity that might be listening before walking away, her heart aching with every step. Little did she know, her decision would set in motion a chain of events that would forever link her to the caped crusader's world, a world of shadows and riddles, where her baby girl would one day play a part she could never have imagined.

Why does this work so well?!
People of the Danny Phantom x DC Universe/anything Batman fandom!
Please explain to me HOW DO THESE TWO DIFFERENT FANDOMS WORK SO WELL TOGETHER?
These are two completely separate superhero properties. Sure superheroes properties in general can blend pretty well together, but I have not seen a crossover where they have blended as well as the dpxdc crossover fandom.
I don't really see as many Danny Phantom crossover fics with the Marvel Universe. And vice vera, I don't see any of the DC universe heroes really crossing over with any other superhero fandoms (besides Marvel) as well as they crossover with Danny Phantom. The only other fandom that is popular being crossed over to the DC universe is the Miraculous Ladybug fandom, and that's it's own analysis.
But Danny Phantom is a property from the early 2000s (it first aired in 2004, this show is 20 years old!) What are the chances, that these two go so well together? How did it even start?
I didn't even know this was a thing, I happened upon it when I happened upon a fic. (Bus to Nowhere, really well written story)
And this just opened up a ton of new things that the DPx DC fandom made. Especially batman!
Danny being a chaos gremlin across all of the DC universe.
Ectoplasm=Lazarus Water
Jason Todd is liminal
Lady Gotham! (a completely new character created by the crossover fandom!)
Danny being adoption bait for the serial adopter that is Bruce!
Why does it work so well?
Genuinely curious here, like why don't other fandoms mesh well as this one? And how does this crossover have such awesome fics and hilarious stories?
If I were to compare it to any other fandom that could potentially work with the DC universe, like Transformers or Ben 10. (there's aliens and supervillains in those shows, they could definitely crossover in the DC universe) But I don't really see crossover fics with them. Is it the fandom? fanbase just not interested? the ideas just don't mesh well?
But for DPxDC, the ideas are abundant! Everytime I come to tumblr, I see a new prompt or fic idea for the fandom and immediately just go "that's an amazing idea!"
Not to mention the ship names!
They're adorable !
Dead Tired/ Brain Dead= Tim x Danny
Anger Management= Jazz x Jason
Dead on Main/ Double Dead= Danny x Jason
Super Dead= Jon x Danny
Multi-level Marketing= Vlad x Lex Luthor (I did not know that I even had a pairing name!)
Dead Silent= Cass x Danny
Ghost Lights= Duke x Danny
Look at those beautiful names! And that's just a couple of them! Somebody please explain to me. How did this even happen?! How did this all start?! Is this like a lightning in a bottle situation? Where it's not likely we'll see a crossover that happens like this anytime soon?

I'm a big fan of crossovers and fusions, but was devastated to discover dc x mlb tends to focus on just taking Marinette to Gotham, so I made what I wanted to see! And that is Jason Todd with a miraculous
I haven't properly watched Miraculous Ladybug in a long while, but augh, do I still love and adore making designs or redesigns based on the series. The Tiger miraculous suits Jason well from what I can tell!
