Haven't actually watched Goranger yet, and literally all I know about it is the soccer ball finisher thing, but I'm absolutely obsessed with the concept

i was thinking abt vic's toku poll and while i can totally get why someone would encourage one to pick kamen rider or sentai in general over ultra when getting into toku i dont understand why one would suggest kamen rider (1971) or GORANGER over ultraman (1966) or ultra q.

i dont think all that many people have watched kamen rider (1971) or goranger or even ultraman (1966) to begin with but ultraman (1966) just seems to hold up in a way the other shows dont. like id suggest it any of the 70s ultras (even my beloved leo) and even a lot of heisei/new gen stuff. a true classic, as they say.

fun fact for the latest BBG episode: in addition to Mira's friend being Kai's love interest from Magiranger, her curry shop is an homage to Goranger.

the shop was called Curry Shop Gon, in reference to Snack Gon, the front for Goranger's base, which also served curry. Mira's friend's last name was Edogawa, same as the manager of Snack Gon, who was Goranger's commander. her dad in the flashback was also dressed like the Goranger's commander, and the shop's sign has stars in it like Goranger's logo.
