Which he tries to avoid doing for that purpose exactly and it terrifies him how much power you have that you just don't know about. You're afraid for him for him even pay for your coffee and a pastry and he'd give you the world if you asked. You're afraid to tell him what's on your mind when you're upset and he'd drop everything just to be honoured enough to listen. And the worst thing is you have no idea, though he's not sure what scares him more. You not knowing and him keeping it to himself. Or you knowing, and it never meaning anytning because you don't feel the same. And of course you don't. He's a delinquent, he murders and commits crimes for a living- and he'd never want to subject you to the burden of knowing what he does. Bur sometimes maybe he thinks about what could have been, if he was someone else. Maybe just for a day, maybe just for an hour.

If it’s not obvious, I heed absolutely zero regard towards label discourse when writing Sovereignstuck. I don’t even notice when “controversial” labels crop up until they’re pointed out to me. They’re fucking aliens. I think if you can believe the idea that aliens are real, then you can handle a pansexual person or something. If you can stomach the idea of not one, but two distinct races of insectoids whose sex is their species walking the earth, one of which are partially object people, you can stomach the concept of an mspec gay/lesbian, or a trans woman who uses he/she, or a polyamorous person, or an objectophile, or a woman with facial hair, or aro/ace/aroace people, or whatever the hell else people are mad about that particular day.

If you’re capable of nodding along to the idea of quadrant-specific sexualities, I do not want to see you crying to me about contradictory labels. This is a comic where you become god through a video game, inspired by another comic where you become god through a video game. If you can suspend your disbelief about that, maybe you can do the same about identities that real life people have, too. Just a thought.
