WARNING: Hard boiling Xiaomi/
Yup that's a very controversial title but let me explain. Also it's not COMPLETELY shit you'll see.
So the begining
Basically, my old phone died recently. So rest in peace Samsung Galaxy J6 2018 Custom rommed that did a boot loop he never recover from-
So the thing is I destroyed my wallet and bought a new one. Saw good reviews online, so came to a store and chose it. First mistake.
The first shit
So it's a Xiaomi Redmi Note 13. It's a pretty decent phone in term of specs with cool cpu and 8GB of RAM and 256 of ROM… Like it's OKAY. It came with MiUI. Which is basically their own OS.
I immediately updated to HyperOS, which was the new version of MiUI. After that i just… used it like a normal person UNTIL!
The day i got ads for changing my wallpaper.
I changed. My wallpaper. By the way it was a drawing of Atlas my beloved moth Squidinu i love you kfjddjfdkfjdkf
So like… Opened Google photo, selected it, got "Set as wallpaper" and then SURPRISE M.THER F.CKER. (Was for temu btw)
I was like "bro what" Cause' i thought i had opened something weird or anything well NOPE The app was "Themes". Then it just randomly closed that's an issue too.
So! Opened settings, got in "Themes and look" THEN SURPRISE ANOTHER AD!
Useless to add that, for some reason, THEMES WHERE PAID. EVERYTHING IN THIS (duck) (butt) APP STORE WAS 1€. (Nope it's not made by Electronics Arts.)
I said (duck) off imma made my own one. So downloaded KLWP (which is some cool app to make custom animated wallpapers and stuff) and enabled it. Didn't work. Why? AUTHORIZATION """""refused""""" for my """"""security""""""
We're talking about reading the number of notifications i have.
So yea that didn't work either.
So, duh, imma try to remove the bloatware.
Spoiler i can't it just says "nuh uh" and pops out some random error.
XDA forums.
So! Since this thing was going to kill me! I decided i should install a GSI! (Cause' for some reason no custom roms were out yet you'll see why later)
SO! Unlocked OEM, Check Installed SHIZUKU, Check Downloaded LeafOS, Check Bootloader unlocked, HUH OH! NUH UUH!!
Usually to unlock the bootloader, you have to use a app for Microsoft Windows, which is already a problem since i use linux and i can only imagine what kind of things OSX (Mac) users have to go through, then you plug it in, open fastboot, (Which is an mode on android that allows you to edit partitions using commands) and then "Error! unauthorized!"
Well the issue was easy, i had to open settings and link my developer account to the phone to unlock bootloader!
The result: Nope.
I think you might have expected it but that didn't worked. At all.
The page in settings shows up some error in Chinese. Which apparently translated (Thanks Gemini) says something like "You need to validate your account on community app"
So i tried.
Installed the VERY sketchy "Mi !NEW HOME! Community App" (that's the actual name on the G Play store.) and logged in, settings, "Unlock boot loader".
Yup… Umm…
"You… " erm. "You have to wait until 8/8 (mm/dd) at 00:00 (UTC+8) to try again."
So i did.
"You have to wait until 8/9 (mm/dd) at 00:00 (UTC+8) to try again."
…Seriously?
Waited 2 days. For nothing.
You see why nobody makes custom rom? Cause' xiaomi is so buggy that you can't even unlock boot loader with THEIR OWN TOOLS.
Honestly, i'm not the kind of person to usually roast something like this, but… Seriously. I didn't even mentioned the translation errors everywhere, the app icons, the bloatware… Even the whole OS looks like ripped off Apple iOS!
So yea. Sorry Xiaomi but right now, i hate you.
So i'll try again tonight and check if that works, even if right now i need a tall buff guy to hug me from behind and hold me in place so i dont use PSI Teleport ß into their office and kill everyone using Sharpshooter and Ricoshots. (P rank)

Kenichi Ova Episode 12
Kenichi STORY:ShirahamaKenichi is an average 15-year-old high school student who has earned the nickname 'Weak Legs' fromalways getting bullied. One day he meets a cute girl named Furinji Miuwho helps him build the courage to begin training at a mysterious dojowhere she lives. Here Kenichi faces intense training from masters of manydifferent martial arts styles as he attempts to become stronger. Kenichi eventually becomes a full disciple of Ryōzanpaku, and becomes enamored of Miu. Subsequently, Kenichi's daily routine is divided between training under the six masters of Ryōzanpaku, and his fights against the members of 'Ragnarok', a gang of bullies trying alternately to recruit or to vanquish him. After Ragnarok is disbanded, Kenichi andMiu are targeted by Yomi, a group of disciples personally trained by a master of an organization rivaling Ryōzanpaku, Yami. While the masters of Ryōzanpaku and their allies follow the principle of always sparing their opponents' lives (Katsujin-ken), the members of Yami believe that any means of defeating an opponent is valid, including murder (Satsujin-ken). In the struggle between the two factions, Kenichi, Miu, and their allies fight the members of Yomi, while his mastersconfront the members of Yami.
A pretty snazzy character selection screen, that is.
ABOUT: ShijouSaikyou no Deshi: Kenichi (literally translated asHistory's Strongest DiscipleKenichi) is a 3D fighting game developed and published by Capcom, based on the manga and animeseries of the same name. Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple began as a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Syun Matsuena. The first tankōbon was published in August 2002. An anime adaptation made by Tokyo Movie Shinsha aired from October 2006 to September 2007 and had 50 episodes. The Kenichi PS2 fighting game was the first ever videogame based on the Kenichi series, releasing only in Japan in March 2007.
Kenichi features 12 selectable characters, each representing their unique fighting styles seen in the original manga and anime. Modes include Story, Versus, Practice, Score Attack, Time Attack, Survival, Mission, and Gallery. For each character, you can choose two battle styles 'Quiet' and 'Motion'. Quiet focuses ondefense and counter attacks, while 'Motion' focuses on attacks and explodeanger (super combos). During battles there are 3 types of attacks: shockskills (strikes), truth skills and return skills (counter attacks). Shockskills are stronger than Truth skills; Truth skills are stronger than Returnskills; and Return skills are stronger than Shock skills.

Whenever I load Firefox it tells me to upgrade to 12.0 for security reasons. 12.0 is most definitely not compatible with the version of OS X on my MacBook Pro.
Where have I seen this stage before?
In more ways than one, Kenichi resembles Capcom's well known 3D fighting game series starring high school stereotypes, Rival Schools. From the cel-shaded 3D graphics style of Kenichi to the stylized anime characters, Kenichi is an attractive looking PS2 game for the time. The fighting stays mostly on a 2D plane, but there are somesidestepping techniques as well. The gameplay is comparable to several Capcom fighters, but focuses more on martial arts techniques and less on projectiles. The gameplay isn't nearly as solid or deep as comparable fighting games of 2007, but features plenty of fan service for those familiar with the manga and anime series.

BOTTOM LINE
Final Words:
Kenichi is one of the few fighting games with 'Capcom' written on the box that I haven't played. (Although, the game was developed by Eighting.) Out of many of the 'me too' anime fighting games that spawned in the mid / late 2000's (and after), Kenishi seemed like one of the more interesting ones. The series seems like aperfect fit for a fighting game. From whatI've seen, the animation quality is rather decent. I've only caught a few episodes of the anime, and it's actually not too bad from what I remember. Some of the character designsare a bit stale, in my opinion.. but others are worth checking out. Honestly what I like most about Kenichi is that the characters seem like they could share the same universe as Rival Schools. Anyway, I don't have a modded PS2 in order to play this game.. but ifever get around to it, I'll give this game a proper review. ~TFG Webmaster

Poco X2 Review
Like many of its competitors, Xiaomi has spun the Poco sub-brand off into its own company, just in time for the launch of the Poco X2. The brand is of course well known because of the iconic Poco F1, but it has been well over a year since that model was launched. Poco is now on its own, though it will likely share many resources with Xiaomi for the foreseeable future. The new Poco X2 is sure to be noticed, however fans should be clear that this is not the next version of the Poco F1, and doesn’t follow the same formula at all. The Poco X2 is much more conventional and somewhat less path-breaking than its illustrious predecessor.
This phone isn’t made of plain plastic and isn’t trying to prioritise core specifications and raw power over everything else. Of course people are still expecting Poco to take the lead in terms of pricing, and to an extent, it does. Starting at just Rs. 15,999, the Poco X2 takes the Realme X2 (Review) on and somewhat overshadows the Redmi K20 (Review) as well as the Redmi Note 8 Pro (Review).
Will Poco set off another firestorm in the Indian market, and does this mark the beginning of a new era of competitiveness? We can’t wait to get started on our review to find out.
Poco X2 design
While the Poco F1 (Review) is unapologetically plain-looking and made of simple plastic in order to remain affordable, Poco is trying a different approach here. What we have is a bright, colourful glass rear with a gradient tone and an unusual circular design around the vertical camera strip. Our Atlantis Blue unit was lighter on the top and darker going down, but you can also choose Phoenix Red or Matrix Purple. There’s a Poco logo towards the bottom, and no “by Xiaomi” tag like the F1 had. The frame of the phone matches the colour of the lower one-third of the rear panel.
The main bit of design flair is the circular patch. You might think at first that Poco has gone with a raised camera module like what we’ve seen on the OnePlus 7T (Review) and Nokia 7.2 (Review), but it’s just a patch with a smooth finish while the glass around it looks frosted. Also, despite the fact that it’s quite flat, Poco has managed to make this patch reflective like a convex mirror, and we were somewhat able to frame a selfie taken with the rear camera. The vertical strip that actually houses the four cameras sticks out quite a bit and has slightly rough edges.
With a 6.67-inch screen, this is undoubtedly a large phone. The tall 20:9 aspect ratio helps with reachability and the non-slippery rear makes for a decent grip. It’s still difficult to get to all parts of the screen with a thumb though, making one-handed use potentially awkward. Your eye will be drawn to the wide dual-camera cutout in the upper right corner of the screen – it isn’t too noticeable in ordinary use, but definitely is a distraction when watching full-screen video.
The wide dual-camera cutout in the screen is quite noticeable
The power button on the right doubles as a fingerprint sensor, but it’s long and thin, which isn’t ideal. The fingerprint registration process took longer than usual, since the Poco X2 has to make sure it can work with just a narrow slice of your fingerprint. Left-handed users will find this placement awkward, and you’ll need to enrol at least two or three fingers so you can unlock the phone when it’s in your hand and on a table. The sensor is flush with the side of the phone which also meant we didn’t always line our fingers up with it perfectly.
The volume buttons are above the power button, which puts them slightly out of reach. There’s an infrared emitter on the top, like with many Xiaomi phones. Sadly, the tray on the left is of the hybrid variety so you’ll have to sacrifice a second SIM if you need a microSD card, and vice versa. There’s a 3.5mm audio socket, USB Type-C port, and speaker on the bottom.
Poco says it has used Gorilla Glass 5 for the front as well as rear of the X2. A clear transparent case comes with this phone and we’re glad to see there’s no pre-applied screen protector. You also get a SIM eject pin, a 27W charger, and a USB Type-C cable. The charger is one of the bulkiest we’ve ever seen.
Overall, it seems as though Poco wanted to create a distinct identity for the X2 and for itself as a brand. We’re not sure that all the design choices here are for the best, but this phone is at least unique and recognisable from the front as well as the back. We would have liked a neutral colour option, though.
The Poco X2 is available in three vibrant colour options
Poco X2 specifications and software
As we stated earlier, the Poco X2 should not be seen as the successor to the Poco F1, and as such it isn’t trying to offer a flagship-grade SoC at mid-range prices. You do get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, which is pretty much the next best thing. This is the same chip that powers this phone’s primary competitor, the Realme X2, so we can assume that gaming and general-purpose performance will be solid.
You can buy the Poco X2 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for Rs. 15,999; 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for Rs. 16,999; or 8GB of RAM and a whopping 256GB of storage for Rs. 19,999. We have the top-end variant with us for review and if you choose this one, the hybrid dual-SIM tray won’t be much of a problem.
The 6.67-inch 2340×1080-pixel display has a killer feature to boast of – a 120Hz refresh rate. This is a subtle feature but it really does improve the quality of the usage experience, making the Android UI feel smooth and responsive. Poco calls this feature “RealityFlow” and it isn’t hard to see why. Games will benefit the most from this, but they have to explicitly support it and not a lot do yet. HDR-10 is also on the spec sheet.
There’s also a 4500mAh battery, dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS, FM radio, and all the standard sensors. Interestingly, the design and specifications of the Poco X2 are practically identical to those of the Redmi K30 being sold in China. It will be interesting to see how the two brands segment and differentiate themselves if the Redmi K30 is launched here.
You’ll find a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio socket, and speaker on the bottom
Poco’s UI is identifed as Poco Launcher as well as MIUI 11.0.3 in different parts of the UI. It looks and feels like what we’ve seen recently on the Redmi K20 (Review) and Redmi K20 Pro (Review). It’s based on Android 10, and we have the December 2019 security update which is good to see.
Xiaomi’s software strategy has always been a point of contention and now Poco has inherited the same issues. There’s a lot of preloaded bloatware and we saw multiple annoying notifications each day asking us to download more through the company’s own GetApps store, or watch random celebrity-themed videos. There are also promotional messages on the lock screen, which you can disable. You’ll see ads and promoted content in many of the default apps. On the whole though, we noted that all this seems to have been toned down a little compared to what we’ve dealt with in the past.
Among the many preinstalled apps, you’ll find Mi Pay and Mi Credit, Xiaomi’s apps for UPI transactions and personal loans respectively. There’s are of course several redundant Mi apps including a Web browser, photo gallery and calendar, but some others such as Mi Remote, Themes, and Screen Recorder are useful. The third-party selection, including Helo, Gaana, Amazon Shopping, Dailyhunt, Opera, and more, are removable. The GetApps store will try to make you download plenty more, so be sure to look for the ‘Skip’ option.
There are plenty of UI customisation options. Not only is there now an app drawer, but it has tabs that filter various categories of apps for easy access. Nice touches include a search bar at the bottom of the drawer so you don’t have to stretch, and neatly grouped “Special features” in the Settings app. These features include the Game Turbo optimisation mode, Quick Reply panels for messaging apps, and Second Space for privacy.
There’s a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button on the left
Poco X2 performance and battery life
The Snapdragon 730G is no slouch, and the Poco X2 breezed through all our apps and usage scenarios. We did see some very slight stuttering in UI once or twice but it was only momentary. Multitasking was not a problem at all. Of course, this experience applies to the top-end variant that we are testing, which has 8GB of RAM. The only problem we had was stretching our thumbs to reach all parts of the screen. The phone didn’t get too hot in use either, and we only felt a mild warmth when playing games or using the cameras for a while.
The screen isn’t the most vivid or crisp, but it is fairly bright and engaging, and viewing angles are great. Whether or not the wide dual-camera hole annoys you will be a subjective matter – we found ourselves largely forgetting it was there when watching videos, but then suddenly being distracted by it when a bright scene came on. We also noticed a bit of backlight unevenness around the cutout.
You only get a single speaker on the bottom of this phone but it’s very loud and the sound is impressively deep and rich. Music distorts if the volume level is above 60 percent or so, but anything less than that is fine for personal listening.
A few of our benchmark tests were restricted from running on our pre-release review unit, but we do have some numbers to share. AnTuTu gave us a score of 2,80,912 which is very good. The Geekbench 5 single-core and multi-core scores were 548 and 1,759. 3DMark and GFXBench were both unable to run so we don’t have graphics scores, but we did run some of today’s more demanding games and got some real-world experience with the Poco X2.
PUBG Mobile defaulted to the High preset. The game was enjoyable and ran without any lag. Asphalt 9: Legends also worked very well, not stuttering even when we smashed headlong into other cars, which is typically a stressful visual effect.
We found the Poco X2’s battery life to be decent, and we didn’t feel any anxiety about getting through a full day, from morning to night. During that time we used the cameras quite a lot, played a few rounds of PUBG Mobile, streamed about an hour of video, and spent some time on social media apps. Our HD video loop test ran for 13 hours, 43 minutes, which is not a great result but might be influenced by how large the screen is.
The Poco X2 has four rear cameras including a 64-megapixel primary camera
Poco X2 cameras
The Poco X2 has four rear and two front cameras. The primary 64-megapixel rear camera has an f/1.89 aperture and uses the Sony IMX686 sensor which succeeds the widely used IMX586. There’s also an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera with a 2cm-10cm focal range as well as autofocus, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The primary selfie camera has a 20-megapixel resolution and is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Poco’s camera app takes a little time to get used to. You have to use the zoom control to switch to the wide-angle camera (marked only as 0.6x) but going the other way to 2x performs a digital zoom since there’s no optical zoom capability. There’s a separate toggle button at the top for the macro camera. It’s a bit tedious to swipe through the mode selector which has a lot of options including 64-megapixel, Pro, Portait, Night, Short Video, and Slow Motion. Unfortunately, photos are branded with a Poco watermark by default, and we wish all manufacturers would stop doing this.
Poco X2 daytime camera samples (top: primary camera; bottom: ultra-wide camera), tap to see full-size
We very occasionally had trouble getting the primary camera to lock focus perfectly, and stepping back from our subject a bit often helped. Photos came out very well exposed with vibrant colours. When the composition allowed, there was very natural-looking depth of field. Fine details on objects such as flower petals came out well, as long as there was good natural light and they were in the centre of the frame. In shadowy areas and at the edges of daylight shots, details were somewhat lost and we did start seeing some grain.
Poco X2 daytime camera samples, tap to see full-size
The wide-angle camera takes poorer quality shots, as expected, but were were happy to see that warping at the sides is minimal. Macros were completely washed-out and it was often hard to take a shot without the phone itself casting a shadow on our subjects.
Low-light shots were also relatively impressive though of course detail is not as well defined as during the day. You can get usable shots as long as there’s a little lighting around, whether indoors or out. The night mode does make a considerable difference and you don’t have to stand still too long. Using this brightens frames and shows details that would have been lost in the shadows.
Poco X2 low-light camera samples (top: primary camera; middle: Night Mode; bottom: ultra-wide camera), tap to see full-size
You can take portrait selfies and adjust a virtual aperture to vary the intensity of the depth effect. Edge detection is quite good too. However, the overall quality of photo taken with the front camera isn’t as impressive as we would have liked. Backgrounds were overblown in the daytime and details looked a bit artificial. It also takes too many taps and swipes to disable the default beautification.
As for video, we liked what the Poco X2 managed to capture in the daytime when recording at 1920×1080. Video was crisp with smooth motion tracking and reasonable stabilisation. Sadly, when we switched to 4K, colours became overexaggerated and there was a warm cast to the clips we recorded. At night, even mild motion caused severe shimmer and motion was quite jerky. Objects weren’t clearly discernible and bright lights caused exposure issues. 4K video shot at night was barely usable.

Verdict
Offering high-end specifications at rock-bottom prices is the simplest way to succeed in the Indian market, and Xiaomi has been one of the biggest forces here for years now. The Chinese giant constantly pushes out new models that raise the bar in terms of value, whether the focus is on style, battery life, cameras, specifications, or attention-grabbing features.
While the Poco X2 doesn’t have quite the impact that the Poco F1 did, it still does everything it needs to, and pricing is its main advantage. The Realme X2 (Review) and Redmi K20 (Review) have dominated the sub-Rs. 20,000 market of late and many recent models, such as the Oppo F15 (Review) and Vivo S1 Pro (Review) have simply not been able to match them in terms of power and features. Now, the Poco X2 makes all of them look a little worse in comparison.
The processor, RAM, storage, battery, and cameras are all strong, and there’s nothing to complain about in terms of build quality or the included accessories. We do, however, wish that the UI eased up on the bloatware and nagging notifications much more, and frankly the rear of the Poco X2 is a little too garish for our taste. Some people will also struggle with the sheer size of this device.
If cost is your main motivator, then the Poco X2 is the new obvious choice in its segment. That doesn’t mean that it’s a clear winner over the Realme X2 though, especially if you can find it at a discount, or if flash sales make the Poco X2 difficult to buy. If you’re undecided between these two models, you can expect a head-to-head comparison coming up on Gadgets 360 very soon.

But the developers are bringing the feature to Android Q which can ve enabled by long pressing the power button . Gestures Control The basic feature of navigation keys to operate and move along in an Android phones which have been there for ages might be replaced with the hand gestures or a pill present at the button center of the home screen of the Android phone. Although the different mobile manufacturers like Xiaomi and OnePlus have already pushed this feature in their own android skins but it is expected that it would became a part of the new android version. Android 9.0 vs. Android 10.0 : Which one is Better ? There has always been a difficulty when someone Came to your house and asked for your wifi password and you had to disclose the password irrespective of your wish of not to do that. Companies like Xiaomi recognized this problem by integrating the QR Code for wifi passwords in MIUI where the passwords are converted to QR codes which become easily shareable which doesn't disclose the password either. The developers have now integrated this feature in Android Q. In the earlier versions of Android specifically ( Nougat and Pie) the left swipe of notifications would enable a user to either snooze a particular notification or changing the settings of notification of the particular app but in Android Q, the left swipe would give you the options to snooze and notification options or right swipe will help you clear out the notification. The Stock file manager who has been piled up with stock android has undergone an entirely new user interface. Apart from the new material designs these new tags and options allow the user to quickly find the videos songs and other files with the help of quick tags.

Other Features: Fingerprint scanner (rear), USB Type-C

Battery: 5020mAh with 18W fast charging
What’s the box content of the Redmi 9?
The Redmi 9 is available in Carbon Gray, Sunset Purple, Ocean Green and Pink/Blue colors. The box comes with two of those colors plastered atop. Luckily for us, one of the colors on the box, was what we saw when when opened the box. The full box content of the Redmi 9 includes:
Redmi 9 smartphone
Wall charger (10W)
USB Type-C cable
SIM ejector pin
Multiple language User manual
Design and Built Quality
If you are coming to the Redmi 9 from the Redmi 5 or 6, you may notice sharp changes in design, but if you’ve used the Redmi 8-series, or even the Note 8, you may not notice much changes in design. Generally, I found the Redmi 9 to be far sturdy than the Redmi 5 of 2018, but you might not notice much improvement in built-quality if you’ve owned a recent Redmi phone. Besides, who makes a crappy, cranky phone in 2020, except the device is sold below $70 USD, which the Redmi 9 is not.
Button placement remains industry stardard; power button and Volume rocker to the right hand side, IR blaster and secondary mic atop the phone, triple card slot to the left hand side and 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C and a single loud speaker at the basement.
The back of the device has a circular textured finishing, which help formed the visible circle towards the four rear camera modules at the back.
As far as built quality goes, the device is very sturdy but, it tad weighty too. Official specs mentioned 198 grams, but my review unit peaked at 202 grams without SIM and SD card inserted. But hey, a 5020mAh battery lies on the inside, which should make up for the extra weight.
Redmi has great display, if not for the brightness nit
The Xiaomi Redmi 9 spot a 6.53-inches display with a dew-drop notch above the screen and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. On paper, the device has Full-HD+ screen with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. At the price, the display has great colors, and don’t even think of noticing any pixel with your naked eyes. But there is one problem, the screen is not bright enough for outdoor use.
You’ll enjoy the display while indoor, and you might need to reduced the brightness at some lighting situations. But this is not the case during outdoor use, and you might need to shade the screen with your palm, especially under direct sunlight use. Surprsingly, a smaller, cheaper device with HD+ screen did better under direct sunlight than the Redmi 9.
A 1080p juicy screen marred with weaker brightness nit
I think Xiaomi is being careful not to strain users eyes with overpowering brightness. They even did include Reader Mode which ultimately alter display color reproduction and overall brightness for a better indoor use.
So display wise, the Redmi 9 is a win for some, and rather ‘not-win’ for others, sort of. The outdoor busy guys might not enjoy covering the display of their device while in use during sunny days, but for indoor loners like myself, the Redmi 9 screen is much more enough, considering other great features that this device offers, like the ones below.
Hardware can’t get any better at this price!
Intel inside!, Sorry I meat Mediatek inside!. The CPU inside the Redmi 9 is Helio G80 chip from Mediatek. The Helio G-series are Mediatek gaming CPU for not just mid-range smartphones anymore, but also for entry level device like the Redmi 9A and 9C.
So is the Xiaomi Redmi 9 a gaming smartphone? Yes, sort of. But should I be having the likes of Blackshark phone or, Asus ROG Phone or even the recent Lenovo Legion Phone on my table right now, I would never call the Redmi 9, a gaming phone (I’m looking at you Infinix Note 7). But since I don’t have those phones, and to anyone who don’t have any of those phones, well, the Xiaomi Redmi 9 is of course a gaming phone.
On paper, the Mediatek Helio G80 in the Redmi 9 has Octa-core CPU in all. There is a dual 2.0 GHz from Cortex-A75, and Six 1.7 GHz from Cortex-A55, pegged with Mali-G52 GPU (up to 950MHz). Our review unit has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Sadly, I don’t play games, for now, so I did not run any gaming performance test. But we’ll surely start doing gaming tests when we resume back on YouTube, hopefully soon. You can check out our long abandoned channel here, and if it is okay by you, please subscribe to it. We are surely coming back soon.
Talking about testing, we did run few benchmarking test though, and our results are shown below.
Xiaomi Redmi 9 Benchmarking Tests
AnTuTu V8: 200,007
GeekBench v5.1: Single-core: 361
GeekBench v5.1: Multi-core: 1,320
3DMark SSE – OpenGLES 3.1: 1,332
3DMark SSE – Vulkan: 1,323
Even though we did not run any practical gaming performance test, no one would expect a smartphone touching 200k in Antutu benchmark to stutter while surfing even the heaviest web page on the internet. Thankfully, the Redmi 9 and it Helio G80 CPU did not stutter during all our basic test.
But we wanted to see the limit of the phone, so we loaded 10 different web pages in 10 Google Chrome tabs, to see how many tabs will refresh when we switch back and forth between the tabs. Interestingly, the Redmi 9 and it 4GB RAM handled all the 10 tabs without a single refresh on any page. But when we pushed it to 20 tabs, some of the initial tabs started refreshing when revisited.
In all, the Helio G80 is a worthy mid-range offer, and offers hug and notable improvement over the Snapdragon 439 CPU used in the Redmi 8-series. to be, the CPU is one of the major stand-out specs of the Xiaomi Redmi 9.
Camera Performance of the Redmi 9
There are four camera modules at the back of the Redmi 9. The main 13-megapixel snapper, with 8-megapixel wide lens, 5-megapixel macro snapper and a 2-megapixel depth shooter, while a single 8-megapixel selfie seats upfront.
We tried out all the sensors above, and they all worked as intended. The 13-megapixel main snapper can capture crisp images in outdoor shots. As for indoor snaps, well, good images are assured with good lightening condition and stable hands. But on the contrary, images get grainy with high noise level.
Sadly, the single LED flash at the back did not really help much as well. I’m not even sure whether there is a software glitch here or something else. For example, when the LED light is set to auto, it won’t fire during some low-light shoots especially when the object is bright, but not adequately bright.
One other issue I have with the LED flash is, it use same focusing light as capture light. This is what I mean, usually, a smartphone LED light is fine-tuned to produced low light during image focusing, then fire a more stronger and bright light to capture the image. But the Redmi 9 is not so, same focusing light captures the image without even a blink, leading to sharp-less indoor images. But again, images taken under good lightening conditions are great.
Sincerely, I enjoy playing around with the camera on Redmi 9. You could also capture a larger filed of field on the device, that is where the bundled 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens comes in, but it can’t go above 118 degrees.
Then, there is the isolated 5-megapixel macro lens, which performed incredible well in my test. Thanks to the lens, I was able to count the legs of this House Fly, or is this Bush Fly?
Finally, the frontal selfie snapper, which can shoot in normal mode or AI portrait mode, and surpsingly, even though there is no LED flash upfront, the frontal 8-megapixel lens is still able to capture decent images.
Normal (Good light)
Portrait (Good light)
Indoor (low light)
Software is MIUI 11 Above Android 10.
The Redmi 9 runs on MIUI 11 out of the box with Android 10 underneath. Usually, with MIUI, you get all apps on the home screen without additional drawer, and the app drawer fans mostly resort to a third party launcher to get their beloved feature. Well, with MIUI 11, extra launcher may not be needed as the OS now have two home screen interface, of which the second interface is app drawer based.
One major argument for MIUI is the customization features. Through the MIUI theme app on the Redmi 9, users can access and download almost unlimited skin and themes of varying customization, given that viewing and interacting with Adsense Ads is okay with you.
Aside the Ads, it is important to note that Xiaomi have it own services and apps, tailored for the Chinese world, a little similar to Google service and apps. Most of these apps and services are preloaded even on the international variants of Redmi and Xiaomi Mi devices. And for phones like the Redmi 9 that come with Google Services and apps, as well as Xiaomi Services and apps, expect a handful number of bloatware.
Aside the two issues above, MIUI is a great OS. Yes, you read that well, MIUI isn’t just a User Interface (UI) but an Operating System (OS), and when combined with Google’s fastest OS till-date (the Android 10), the result is a smooth and buttery fluid User Experience (UX). Although the combination took out above 12GB ROM from the built in 64GB of storage.
I don’t really like the old ‘all apps on the home screen’ feature of MIUI, so after setting up the device, I instantly switch to the App drawer version of the interface. For what it worth, OS alone won’t amount to a smoother interface, the hardware department also has it role to play, thankfully, the Helio G80 CPU plays it game very well. And if there is any area I did not encounter any issue with the Redmi 9, is in the software department.
The notification drawer is kept very minimal, and a single click (inside phone setting), will switch you from normal to dark mode in seconds. Software connecting the peripherals of the phone are will optimized as well. The phone will guide you to set up the fast fingerprint scanner, the built-in speaker is loud enough for my Parlor. The camera components are connected fairly well, except for the LED flash talked above earlier.
How About Battery Performance?
One of the reason while the Redmi 9 is a bit weighty, is due to the built-in 5020mAh battery. After a whole 24 hours of pushing and pressing the Redmi 9, I had to, reluctantly, charge it remaining 30% juice this morning for charging sake, and not because I know the device might be going off anytime soon.
The Redmi 9 also come with great battery management app, which when turned on, gives you almost twice your battery run time, but to the detriment of background running apps, like emails, chat notifications etc.
Charging the device from 30% to 100% this morning took around 1H:37M. Kinda slow right? Well, perhaps, and that is because even though the Redmi 9 support 18W fast charger, a 10W charger is what you’ll get out of the box, and not the faster 18W charger.
Xiaomi Redmi 9 Pricing, Alternative and Conclusion
On the international front, the Redmi 9 starts at around $119 for the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. But in local market, Nigeria for example, the device is available with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and price at N66,000.
Phones with similar specs you can get at this price includes: Infinix Note 7 Lite, Samsung Galaxy M11, Tecno Camon 15, Huawei Y7p and the OPPO A31 smartphone.
When I got the Redmi 9, I wasn’t expecting the device to tick all spec box, knowing fully well that it a mid-range offer, but it did, sort of. Seriously, it interesting to see how much specs and features Xiaomi has pack into the Redmi 9, and despite the little hitches we noticed in the camera department and the less-bright LCD screen, the Redmi 9 is still a big bang for the buck, offering Mediatek Helio G80 under $120 dollars.

What is Huawei HarmonyOS or HongMengOS or OakOS ?
Of course, the OS is one of the main components of any smart device, providing its functionality and correct operation in various modes. Therefore, many choose a smartphone taking into account the capabilities of its OS. Accordingly, all smartphone manufacturers pay great attention to this aspect. More recently, companies mainly used Android, Apple iOS, Windows Phone, Symbian, etc. But after the discontinuation of support for Windows Phone and Symbian, their list was reduced to Android and iOS. The share of other operating systems, including Bada, Palm OS, Open WebOS, Maemo, etc is too insignificant. At the same time, Android is clearly ahead of its main competitor due to the huge number of various smart devices running under this OS. Moreover, in 2019, Google introduced the new Android 10.
EMUI (Emotion UI)
Usually, Google develops a new version, downloads its source code for free, and releases an update for its Pixel smartphones. After that, each manufacturer can take a new free Android version from Google and use it on their smartphone, including after editing. In practice, all major manufacturers are developing their own interface for Android, including UX (LG), One UI (Samsung), MIUI (Xiaomi), etc. Huawei was no exception and developed EMUI (Emotion UI) based on Android. In fairness, many users prefer to get rid of it by installing a "clean" Android from Google. Since 2012, Huawei regularly offers new EMUI versions. 2019 was no exception. At IFA 2019, the company introduced EMUI 10 for Android 10. Today it's already available for most Huawei models, including the flagship P20, Pro, P30 Pro, Mate 20 Pro, etc. This version uses a magazine style with large headlines, an enlarged font, a clear grid layout of icons, etc. In addition, the design uses the “Morandi color palette” (Giorgio Morandi - Italian painter) in pastel colors, instead of the traditional blue, white and black colors. Additionally, EMUI 10 supports third-party icon rendering using the adaptive Huawei mask, providing a consistent display style. The new desktop in EMUI 10 uses an increased scale with a grid of 4 x 6 icons. In general, EMUI 10 proportionally optimizes all aspects of the interface, including displaying notifications, settings menu, dark theme, animation, camera interface, etc.
HarmonyOS (Oak OS or HongMeng OS in China)
As known, the company began developing the HarmonyOS in 2017. Initially, version 1.0 was focused on IoT (Internet of Things). Today the company promises to introduce the v2.0 microkernel (μ-kernel) in 2020. Then, in 2021, Huawei plans to introduce a third version with enhanced device support. HarmonyOS v1.0 uses the Linux kernel in conjunction with its own μ-kernel. But in the future, perhaps starting with v2.0, the company is considering leaving only its own μ-kernel. Of course, US government sanctions against Huawei substantially adjusted the plans of the Chinese giant. The threat of restricting access to Android services provoked the company to accelerate the development of its own OS. As a result, at the Developers Conference 2019, Huawei introduced its own new HarmonyOS for smart devices, including smartphones. Of course, HarmonyOS is fully compatible with the Android apps that Huawei has been developing since 2012. However, Huawei has repeatedly denied rumors about the rejection of the super-popular Android. Apparently, the company uses HarmonyOS as insurance in case of conflict escalation. Nevertheless, smartphones with this OS have already been introduced. Under certain circumstances, Android and iOS may soon face a very serious competitor. In December, the company introduced the first Honor Vision TVs running Harmony OS in China.
General information
HarmonyOS uses TTE (Trusted Execution Environment) with the protected CPU data. As known, TTE guarantees the protection of code and data, ensuring absolute confidentiality. In fact, the OS is a microkernel with a large number of modules for each device type, taking into account their application scenarios. This solution significantly increases the OS efficiency, increasing the speed of information processing by about 30%. Of course, the company guarantees the correct operation of all apps, regardless of the device type. Additionally, open source allows programmers to use any programming language, ensuring its compatibility with any OS. Differences from EMUI include a new boot animation, advanced customization, screen settings using widgets, lock screen settings, etc. Huawei used the Mate 30 for internal OS testing. Thus, the Huawei Mate 30 could be the first series based on the Harmony OS. In addition to smartphones, Huawei plans to use Harmony in TVs, PCs, laptops, smart watches and bracelets. In fact, the company plans to create a smart series similar to LG's TwinQ. Of course, its primary implementation will take place in the Chinese market. But management also noted the company's ability to adapt all its products to HarmonyOS if necessary in just two days.
Key Features
- free distribution; - great compatibility. Unlike Android, Huawei Harmony OS uses a microkernel similar to Google Fuchsia OS. This guarantees its versatility, ensuring compatibility with any device type; - instant installation on all Huawei devices. Unfortunately, Harmony does not support Android apps by default and require the use of, for example, Huawei's ARK compiler; - at the first stage, Huawei plans Harmony OS only for devices in the Chinese market; - open source opens up good prospects for cooperation in the development of a new OS with OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi; - own app store (Huawei AppGallery instead of Google Play and Huawei Mobile Services instead of Google Play Services); - higher performance. Unlike Linux cores with a relatively large amount of code, microkernels have a smaller amount of common code and provide faster communication between system components; - privacy protection with TTE; - no root access. As known, Root access is authorization to execute any command and access any resource on a device. Of course, this solution has pros and cons. Experience using this option for Android has demonstrated: PROS - allows the superuser to delete any pre-installed apps, change screensavers, limit Internet traffic, delete ads in apps, etc; - control of energy consumption. For example, some programs adjust the speed of CPU cores, slowing them down to reduce energy consumption without sacrificing performance; - the ability to overclock with the appropriate utilities. Of course, CPU must support the ability to work at higher frequencies. Cons - problems with a guarantee; - blocks the automatic updates due to custom recovery; - lack of licensed content, support for payment systems and banking apps; - significantly reduces protection against viruses; - rewriting internal memory, changing partitions, etc increase the risk of its failure.
Conclusion
According to the company, their system is faster than Android and iOS by about 60%, but this difference seems very high. Of course, today any predictions about the prospects of the new OS seem premature. Probably, Harmony OS has good prospects to become a new OS in the segment of smart devices, complementing Android and iOS. In this case, it will be able to take the place of Windows Phone and Symbian in the future. But the debugging process of the new universal ambitious OS is unlikely to be fast because of the task complexity. Unfortunately, the aggravation of trade confrontation can radically accelerate this process to the detriment of its quality. But consumers are unlikely to benefit from the emergence of a new OS with a traditionally large number of problems in the first stage. On the contrary, such a scenario can cause great damage to the reputation of this promising operating system. The video offers an overview of Huawei HarmonyOS. Read the full article

Poco X2 Full Detailed Mobile Review: Structure, Verdict
Poco X2 Detailed Full Mobile Review
Poco's second coming isn't what you might suspect, but still punched
In the same way as other of its rivals, Xiaomi has spun the Poco sub-brand off into its own organization, without a moment to spare for the dispatch of the Poco X2. The brand is obviously notable as a result of the notable Poco F1, yet it has been well over a year since that model was propelled. Poco is presently individually, however it will probably impart numerous assets to Xiaomi for years to come. The new Poco X2 makes certain to be seen, anyway fans ought to be evident this isn't the following rendition of the Poco F1, and doesn't follow a similar equation by any means. The Poco X2 is significantly more regular and to some degree less way breaking than its famous antecedent.
This telephone isn't made of plain plastic and isn't attempting to organize center particulars and crude control over everything else. Obviously individuals are as yet expecting Poco to lead the pack as far as valuing, and to a degree, it does. Beginning at just Rs. 15,999, the Poco X2 takes the Realme X2【₹ 17,964】(Review) on and to some degree dominates the Redmi K20【₹ 19,997】(Review) just as the Redmi Note 8 Pro【₹ 14,999】(Review). Will Poco set off another firestorm in the Indian market, and does this imprint the start of another time of seriousness? We can hardly wait to begin on our survey to discover.
Poco X2 Structure
While the Poco F1【₹ 14,795】(Review) is proudly plain-looking and made of basic plastic so as to stay reasonable, Poco is attempting an alternate methodology here. What we have is a brilliant, vivid glass back with an angle tone and an uncommon round structure around the vertical camera strip. Our Atlantis Blue unit was lighter on the top and darker going down, yet you can likewise pick Phoenix Red or Matrix Purple. There's a Poco logo towards the base, and no "by Xiaomi" label like the F1 had. The casing of the telephone coordinates the shade of the lower 33% of the back board. The primary piece of plan style is the roundabout fix. You may think from the start that Poco has gone with a raised camera module like what we've seen on the OnePlus 7T【₹ 34,999】(Review) and Nokia 7.2【₹ 14,299】(Review), however it's only a fix with a smooth completion while the glass around it looks iced. Additionally, in spite of the way that it's very level, Poco has figured out how to make this fix intelligent like a raised mirror, and we were to some degree ready to outline a selfie taken with the back camera. The vertical strip that really houses the four cameras stands out a considerable amount and has somewhat harsh edges. With a 6.67-inch screen, this is without a doubt a huge telephone. The tall 20:9 angle proportion assists with reachability and the non-tricky back makes for a nice grasp. It's as yet hard to find a good pace of the screen with a thumb however, making one-gave utilize possibly unbalanced. Your eye will be attracted to the wide double camera pattern in the upper right corner of the screen – it isn't excessively perceptible in conventional use, however unquestionably is an interruption when observing full-screen video.
The force button on the correct serves as a unique finger impression sensor, yet it's long and thin, which isn't perfect. The unique mark enrollment process took longer than expected, since the Poco X2 needs to ensure it can work with only a tight cut of your unique finger impression. Left-gave clients will discover this position unbalanced, and you'll have to enlist in any event a few fingers so you can open the telephone when it's in your grasp and on a table. The sensor is flush with the side of the telephone which likewise implied we didn't generally arrange our fingers according to it impeccably. The volume catches are over the force button, which puts them somewhat distant. There's an infrared producer on the top, as with numerous Xiaomi telephones. Tragically, the plate on the left is of the half and half assortment so you'll need to forfeit a second SIM on the off chance that you need a microSD card, and the other way around. There's a 3.5mm sound attachment, USB Type-C port, and speaker on the base. Poco says it has utilized Gorilla Glass 5 for the front just as back of the X2. An unmistakable straightforward case accompanies this telephone and we're happy to see there's no pre-applied screen defender. You additionally get a SIM discharge pin, a 27W charger, and a USB Type-C link. The charger is one of the bulkiest we've at any point seen. Generally, it appears as if Poco needed to make an unmistakable personality for the X2 and for itself as a brand. We don't know that all the structure decisions here are generally advantageous, however this telephone is at any rate special and conspicuous from the front just as the back. We would have loved a nonpartisan shading choice, however.
Poco X2 Details And Programming
As we expressed before, the Poco X2 ought not be viewed as the successor to the Poco F1, and accordingly it isn't attempting to offer a leader grade SoC at mid-extend costs. You do get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, which is essentially the following best thing. This is a similar chip that powers this present telephone's essential rival, the Realme X2, so we can accept that gaming and broadly useful execution will be strong.
You can purchase the Poco X2 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of capacity for Rs. 15,999; 6GB of RAM and 128GB of capacity for Rs. 16,999; or 8GB of RAM and an astounding 256GB of capacity for Rs. 19,999. We have the top-end variation with us for audit and in the event that you pick this one, the cross breed double SIM plate won't be a lot of an issue. The 6.67-inch 2340x1080-pixel show has an incredible component to flaunt – a 120Hz invigorate rate. This is an unpretentious element however it truly improves the nature of the utilization experience, causing the Android UI to feel smooth and responsive. Poco calls this component "RealityFlow" and it isn't difficult to perceive any reason why. Games will profit the most from this, yet they need to unequivocally bolster it and not a great deal do yet. HDR-10 is likewise on the spec sheet. There's likewise a 4500mAh battery, double VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS, FM radio, and all the standard sensors. Strikingly, the structure and details of the Poco X2 are for all intents and purposes indistinguishable from those of the Redmi K30 being sold in China. It will be intriguing to perceive how the two brands portion and separate themselves if the Redmi K30 is propelled here. Poco's UI is identifed as Poco Launcher just as MIUI 11.0.3 in various pieces of the UI. It closely resembles what we've seen as of late on the Redmi K20 (Review) and Redmi K20 Pro【₹ 24,890】(Review). It depends on Android 10, and we have the December 2019 security update which is acceptable to see.
Xiaomi's product methodology has consistently been a point of conflict and now Poco has acquired similar issues. There's a ton of preloaded bloatware and we saw different irritating warnings every day requesting that we download progressively through the organization's own GetApps store, or watch irregular VIP themed recordings. There are additionally limited time messages on the lock screen, which you can impair. You'll see advertisements and advanced substance in huge numbers of the default applications. In general however, we noticed that this appears to have been mitigated a little contrasted with what we've managed previously. Among the numerous preinstalled applications, you'll discover Mi Pay and Mi Credit, Xiaomi's applications for UPI exchanges and individual advances separately. There's are obviously a few repetitive Mi applications including a Web program, photograph display and schedule, however some others, for example, Mi Remote, Themes, and Screen Recorder are valuable. The outsider determination, including Helo, Gaana, Amazon Shopping, Dailyhunt, Opera, and that's only the tip of the iceberg, are removable. The GetApps store will attempt to cause you to download bounty more, so make certain to search for the 'Skip' choice. There are a lot of UI customisation alternatives. Not exclusively is there now an application cabinet, yet it has tabs that channel different classifications of applications for simple access. Pleasant contacts incorporate a pursuit bar at the base of the cabinet so you don't need to extend, and conveniently gathered "Unique highlights" in the Settings application. These highlights incorporate the Game Turbo enhancement mode, Quick Reply boards for informing applications, and Second Space for security.
Poco X2 Execution And Battery Life
The Snapdragon 730G is the genuine article, and the Poco X2 easily got through all our applications and utilization situations. We saw some slight stammering in UI a few times yet it was just fleeting. Performing multiple tasks was not an issue by any means. Obviously, this experience applies to the top-end variation that we are trying, which has 8GB of RAM. The main issue we had was extending our thumbs to arrive at all pieces of the screen. The telephone didn't get too hot being used either, and we possibly felt a mellow warmth when messing around or utilizing the cameras for some time. The screen isn't the most clear or fresh, yet it is genuinely brilliant and connecting with, and seeing edges are extraordinary. Regardless of whether the wide double camera opening pesters you will be an abstract issue – we got ourselves to a great extent overlooking it was there when watching recordings, however then unexpectedly being occupied by it when a brilliant scene went ahead. We likewise saw a touch of backdrop illumination lopsidedness around the pattern. You just get a solitary speaker on the base of this telephone however it's exceptionally noisy and the sound is amazingly profound and rich. Music mutilates if the volume level is over 60 percent or somewhere in the vicinity, yet anything short of that is fine for individual tuning in. A couple of our benchmark tests were limited from running on our pre-discharge audit unit, yet we do have a few numbers to share. AnTuTu gave us a score of 2,80,912 which is generally excellent. The Geekbench 5 single-center and multi-center scores were 548 and 1,759. 3DMark and GFXBench were both incapable to run so we don't have designs scores, yet we ran a portion of the present all the more requesting games and got some certifiable involvement in the Poco X2. PUBG Mobile defaulted to the High preset. The game was pleasant and ran with no slack. Black-top 9: Legends likewise worked well indeed, not faltering in any event, when we crushed fast into different vehicles, which is regularly an unpleasant enhanced visualization.
Poco X2 Cameras
There four back and two front cameras of the Poco X2. The essential 64-megapixel back camera has a f/1.89 gap and uses the Sony IMX686 sensor which succeeds the broadly utilized IMX586. There's additionally a 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel large scale camera with a 2cm-10cm central range just as self-adjust, and a 2-megapixel profundity sensor. The essential selfie camera has a 20-megapixel goals and is joined by a 2-megapixel profundity sensor. Poco's camera application sets aside a little effort to become acclimated to. You need to utilize the zoom control to change to the wide-point camera (stamped uniquely as 0.6x) yet going the other method to 2x plays out an advanced zoom since there's no optical zoom capacity. There's a different switch button at the top for the large scale camera. It's somewhat dull to swipe through the mode selector which has a great deal of choices including 64-megapixel, Pro, Portait, Night, Short Video, and Slow Motion. Tragically, photographs are marked with a Poco watermark naturally, and we wish all producers would quit doing this. We once in a while experienced difficulty getting the essential camera to bolt concentrate superbly, and venturing once again from our subject a piece regularly made a difference. Photographs turned out very much uncovered with energetic hues. At the point when the creation permitted, there was extremely normal looking profundity of field. Fine subtleties on articles, for example, blossom petals turned out well, as long as there was acceptable normal light and they were in the focal point of the edge. In shadowy zones and at the edges of sunlight shots, subtleties were fairly lost and we started seeing some grain. The wide-point camera takes more unfortunate quality shots, true to form, however were glad to see that distorting along the edges is insignificant. Macros were totally cleaned out and it was regularly difficult to make a go without the telephone itself throwing a shadow regarding our matters. Low-light shots were additionally generally amazing however obviously detail isn't also characterized as during the day. You can get usable shots as long as there's a bit of lighting around, regardless of whether inside or out. The night mode makes an impressive contrast and you don't need to stop excessively long. Utilizing this lights up casings and shows subtleties that would have been lost in the shadows. You can take picture selfies and alter a virtual gap to differ the force of the profundity impact. Edge recognition is very acceptable as well. Be that as it may, the general nature of photograph taken with the front camera isn't as amazing as we would have loved. Foundations were exaggerated in the daytime and subtleties looked somewhat counterfeit. It likewise takes an excessive number of taps and swipes to impair the default beautification.
source:internet
With respect to video, we preferred what the Poco X2 figured out how to catch in the daytime when recording at 1920x1080. Video was fresh with smooth movement following and sensible adjustment. Tragically, when we changed to 4K, hues became overexaggerated and there was a warm cast to the clasps we recorded. Around evening time, even mellow movement caused serious gleam and movement was very jerky. Articles weren't plainly detectable and splendid lights caused introduction issues. 4K video took shots around evening time was scarcely usable.
Decision
Offering very good quality details at absolute bottom costs is the easiest method to prevail in the Indian market, and Xiaomi has been probably the greatest power here throughout recent years. The Chinese mammoth continually pushes out new models that increase current standards regarding esteem, regardless of whether the emphasis is on style, battery life, cameras, details, or eye catching highlights. While the Poco X2 doesn't have a remarkable effect that the Poco F1 did, it despite everything does all that it needs to, and evaluating is its fundamental preferred position. The Realme X2 (Review) and Redmi K20 (Review) have commanded the sub-Rs. 20,000 market generally and numerous ongoing models, for example, the Oppo F15 (Review) and Vivo S1 Pro (Review) have just not had the option to coordinate them regarding force and highlights. Presently, the Poco X2 makes every one of them look somewhat more awful in correlation. The processor, RAM, stockpiling, battery, and cameras are on the whole solid, and there's nothing to whine about as far as manufacture quality or the included adornments. We do, be that as it may, wish that the UI backed off on the bloatware and annoying warnings significantly more, and honestly the back of the Poco X2 is excessively showy for our taste. A few people will likewise battle with the sheer size of this gadget. Whenever cost is your primary help, at that point the Poco X2 is the new clear decision in its section. That doesn't imply that it's an unmistakable champ over the Realme X2 however, particularly on the off chance that you can discover it at a markdown, or if streak deals make the Poco X2 hard to purchase. In case you're unsure between these two models, you can anticipate that a head-should head examination coming up on Gadgets 360 very soon.

Xiaomi Redmi Go evaluation: Price each penny
Design
The smartphone comes with a plastic physique however has a sturdy constructed. It has rounded corners and curved edges that make for a compact an ergonomic handset. Redmi Go can simply slot in one hand and pocket, due to its compact design. The entrance panel has three capacitive buttons for Dwelling, Again and for inbuilt options or apps.
The amount rockers and energy button are on the precise aspect of the smartphone, whereas two Nano-SIM and one microSD card are positioned on the left. The three.5mm headphone jack is positioned on the prime whereas a microphone, micro-USB charging port, and speaker grille are on the backside.
There may be an 8MP digital camera together with an LED flash on the again. Additionally, you will discover Xiaomi branding in the direction of the underside. Nevertheless, there isn’t a fingerprint scanner and any form of biometric safety on this smartphone.
General Redmi Go seems to be good in fingers, offers you premium really feel at this worth level.
Show
Up entrance, the gadget sports activities a 5-inch HD (1280 × 720p) show with a 16:9 side ratio. It options 2.5 curved glass together with appreciable bezels on the highest and backside. The show panel is protected by Gorilla Glass three which suggests it will possibly deal with unintentional drops and lightweight smudges.
Throughout my time with the smartphone, I discovered the show works superb for nearly all of the duties. It’s fairly responsive, shiny and shade replica can be good.
Actually, Redmi Go may also stream high-quality movies. However you should not count on a lot from the show.
One other spectacular factor about this smartphone is that the gadget gives two Nano SIM and MicroSD card on the left aspect and this appears attention-grabbing as a result of a lot of the firm are launching smartphones with hybrid twin SIM slots even on larger costs.
Digital camera Efficiency
The Xiaomi’s Redmi Go comes with an 8MP rear digital camera with an aperture of f / 2.zero and helps autofocus. On the entrance aspect, you will discover a 5-megapixel digital camera for selfies. The cameras can file movies which go as much as 1080p, 30fps. It has options like Auto HDR and AI Beautify mode for selfies lovers.
The brand new smartphone can take good photographs in daylight from the rear digital camera. Nevertheless, the digital camera is just not superb at absorbing mild in unfavorable circumstances and also you would possibly find yourself with darkish images in low mild. General each cameras did an honest job in daylight however the efficiency in low mild is questionable.
Hardware, Software program, Battery and Connectivity
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor together with 1 GB RAM and 8GB of inside storage. The interior storage is expandable through microSD to as much as 128GB. Because it has devoted microSD storage slot on the left aspect. We did not discover any lags whereas utilizing the smartphone.
Notably, Redmi Go can simply deal with mild video games and picture modifying software program like Picsart, and many others. Nevertheless, you would not wish to play PUBG or Nova on this cellphone as it’ll fail to maintain up with the tempo of the gameplay. However nonetheless contemplating the value level it will be legal to ask for high-end gaming.
On the software program entrance, the Redmi Go runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Version) which gives near-stock Android expertise. The gadget comes with some pre-installed apps like Amazon, Fb Lite, Mint Browser, Mint Launcher, the MIUI Cleaner app, the MIUI file explorer, and Mi Drop.
The Mint launcher gives you themes, customization choices for house structure and reduces the icon dimension. The Redmi Go appears good for fundamental web looking, calls, messages, and social media looking.
The Xiaomi Redmi Go helps 3000mAh battery which may simply final for a whole day on a single cost. The battery backup is even higher than some smartphones like Samsung J2 Core. With mild to reasonable utilization, the smartphone may even final for greater than two days which is fairly spectacular.
On the connectivity entrance, the Redmi Go helps 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, dual-SIM, and micro USB port. General, Redmi Go is not going to disappoint you on the efficiency entrance within the finances price-point.
Conclusion
The Redmi Go is right for customers who need to purchase an entry-level smartphone. The close to inventory Android UI mixed with Qualcomm CPU and three,000mAh battery is sufficient for nearly all of the day-to-day process. Actually, Redmi Go is providing first rate efficiency like it’s good for taking calls, checking emails and switching apps, and many others.
However there isn’t a doubt that the smartphone struggles within the digital camera division and you can’t play heavy video games.

Xiaomi's Redmi phones have pretty much established themselves as the de-facto choices at nearly every price point in the budget space. The Chinese brand, once considered a tiny upstart, has consistently launched smartphones that deliver tremendous value for money and make their competitors look overpriced. We've repeatedly wondered how far Xiaomi can push this formula, and whether any other company will be able to come in and steal its thunder.
That has happened to some extent at the upper end of the low-cost market this year, with players including Asus, Oppo (and now its spin-off Realme), and Infinix launching disruptive models that have earned praise from us. The bottom end, though, is still where Xiaomi dominates. The brand new Redmi 6 models have been launched specifically to reinforce that position, and the Redmi 6A is the very lowest priced model of them all.
Starting at just Rs. 5,999 — though this is an "introductory price" — the Redmi 6A neatly replaces the Redmi 5A (Review) and brings just enough updates and new features to fend off newer competitors. Let's see what's new, and whether this phone is still the best choice for people on a shoe-string budget.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A design
The first thing you'll notice about this phone is that Xiaomi has brought a fashionable 18:9 screen to the very bottom of its price ladder. The front of this phone is simple and plain, and when it's off, the front camera and earpiece are the only things that will indicate which way is up. The screen has very slightly rounded corners, which is a nice touch. You don't get a bezel-free look at this price and there's quite a bit of space to the top, bottom and sides of the screen, but the overall look is still fairly slick.
The body of the Redmi 6A is all plastic, which shouldn't come as any surprise. This phone is available in four colours — black, blue, gold, and rose gold. Our black review unit looked good, though some smudges did become apparent on the rear over the course of multiple days. There's a camera bump, but thankfully it isn't too noticeable. The body's curves and contours somewhat mask its 8.3mm thickness and make it very easy to live with. This phone weighs just 145g, which helps as well.
The power and volume buttons are on the right, and both are well within reach. On the left, there are two individual trays - one for a single Nano-SIM, and the other for another Nano-SIM and also a separate microSD card. You'll find a 3.5mm audio socket on the top and a Micro-USB port on the bottom, plus microphone pinholes next to both. The speaker is on the lower rear which means that your ringtone and alerts could be muffled when this phone is lying on a bed or other soft surface. There's no fingerprint reader — while we have seen phones with fingerprint readers at around this price level, Xiaomi has chosen other priorities.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A specifications and software
There usually isn't much to get excited about in the budget market, but Xiaomi has found at least one little advantage to give its latest entry-level phone. Rather than the predictable Qualcomm 400-series, Xiaomi has switched to MediaTek's brand new Helio A22 (MT6762) processor. This marks the debut of a new Helio A-series branding scheme for MediaTek's entry-level offerings. The Helio A22 has four ARM Cortex-A53 cores running at up to 2GHz and is manufactured using a power-efficient 12nm process. This could give battery life a significant boost.
The Redmi 6A is available with either 16GB or 32GB of storage, and both variants have 2GB of RAM. Our review unit was the 16GB version, and we found that we had just under 10GB of usable space when setting it up. If you aren't planning to carry a lot of music and videos around with you, this much should be fine, but you'll need a microSD card otherwise, with cards of up to 256GB capacity supported.
The 18:9 screen measures 5.45 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 720x1440 pixels. Xiaomi has packed in a 3000mAh battery. The rear camera has a 13-megapixel sensor, f/2.2 aperture, and PDAF, while the front one has a 5-megapixel sensor. The Redmi 6A can use 4G data on either SIM. VoLTE HD is supported on only one SIM at a time, regardless of which slot it's in. There's also Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. Interestingly, you get the standard ambient light and proximity sensors as well as a digital compass.
One of Xiaomi's defining smartphone features is its custom MIUI software, which has a vocal legion of fans. The Redmi 6A runs MIUI 9.6 which is based on Android 8.1. Our unit had already received the August 2018 Android security patch. There's no official word on any release timeframe for an update to Android 9.0 Pie. MIUI hasn't changed much over the years, and with stock Android One gaining popularity, it's beginning to show. We missed common features like the ability to long-press an app icon for quick shortcuts and notifications.
There's a lot of preloaded bloat and redundant apps, for example you have UC Browser, Chrome, and Xiaomi's own default browser. Facebook, Amazon, PhonePe, Netflix, Opera, and a few other third-party apps are preloaded, and several more are "promoted" right within the MIUI interface. The default Facemoji keyboard has a lot going on with emojis, stickers, GIFs, themes, and more. Then there are also Microsoft apps and assorted Mi utilities. The one big thing that immediately jumped out at us was the amount of advertising that's now baked into MIUI.
We saw a few spammy alerts from the Mi Apps store using peer-pressure tactics to try to make us download specific apps. Moreover, there were full-screen interstitial ads whenever we launched the Themes app or used the Storage Cleaner function within the Settings app, and there were ads in the Security app as well. Very few of these apps can be removed. Mi Music and Mi Video are also full of promotional content. There’s even spam in the Gallery app — sporadically, after playing a video clip we had recorded, we saw a screen of suggestions for Hungama videos.
We were extremely disappointed to see how much advertising there was. Much of it only became apparent after a few days of use, so it's possible that there's even more, deeper beneath the surface, waiting to jump out at users. If this is the tradeoff for low-cost phones, we wouldn't be surprised to see even hardcore Xiaomi fans gravitating towards stock Android.
That isn't to say that MIUI is all bad. It still has loads of features including Ui customisation options, the ability to clone apps, fine-grained display colour tone adjustment, useful gestures, and the ability to lock apps. There's face recognition, but Xiaomi warns that it might be defeated by a photo of you.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A performance, battery life, and cameras
This is an entry-level phone, and we know that it isn't meant to be pushed too hard, but basic usage still needs to be smooth. Thankfully, we can say that the Redmi 6A — for the most part — was not frustrating to use. There was some lag when flipping through the task switcher or exiting from apps back to the home screen, but we could live with that. We also quickly learnt to avoid Xiaomi's Mi apps because the extra steps needed to dismiss ads all the time became too annoying.
On rare occasions, it took a second or two for many apps, including the basic Messaging app, to be usable after loading. You can hide the on-screen Android navigation buttons and use gestures instead, but we found that to be extremely slow. The keyboard was also a bit of a problem, but Google's Gboard is preloaded and ready to go as an alternative. MIUI is strained with with only 2GB of RAM, and we noted anywhere between 650MB and 1.2GB free during use.
The screen is good enough for watching videos and playing games on, and we had no major complaints in terms of vibrancy, colour reproduction, or viewing angles considering the price of this phone. The speaker on the back isn't very clear and music doesn't sound great, but voices in videos come through well enough.
Benchmark tests gave us pretty decent results. We got 61,053 in AnTuTu, and 765 and 2,306 respectively in Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests. The 20fps score in GFXBench's T-Rex test shows that 3D games won't run all that well, but you should be able to play casual puzzle titles without any trouble. 3DMark's Ice Storm Extreme test gave us a score of 5,451 and the Slingshot test score was 453.
Xiaomi's phones have always surprised us with great performance in our HD video loop battery life test. The Redmi 6A ran for 13 hours, 22 minutes, thanks to its 3000mAh battery, the efficient SoC, and MIUI's optimisations. Our everyday usage consisted of a bit of light gaming and video streaming, and we comfortably made it through a 10-hour working day and the rest of the evening. If you don't use your phone for much more than calls, messages and social media, you should be able to stretch to a day and a half between charges. On the downside, a full charge from zero took us nearly three hours.
Camera quality is typically where low-cost phones struggle the most. The Redmi 6A is obviously not going to be ideal if you need great photos, but it should be enough for people who just want to share their lives through social media and messaging apps. Our sample shots came out looking relatively good with acceptable levels of detail and sharp focus. There are a few shots in which we could see that focus had not locked on the ideal spot, and small bright objects or parts of the frame did get blown out quite badly. Colours were generally bright and vibrant too.
At night, we definitely had to be careful about standing still and not shaking the phone, but shots were still fairly decent as long as there was a light source nearby. Areas in the shadows just came out looking completely black. One problem we found was that no matter what conditions we were shooting in, the Redmi 6A often took a full second or more to save a shot, leaving us waiting before we could take the next one.
Video recording goes up to 1080p but it is shaky and a little jerky with constant minor focus shifts. Video taken in bright sunlight looked a bit artificial and oversharpened. The front camera does a serviceable job but again, this is entry-level quality and nothing beyond that. The camera app has time-lapse and panorama modes. Nice touches include an auto HDR setting, an on-screen level overlay to help you frame shots, a tilt-shift filter, and multiple scene modes. There is a manual mode as well, and buried within the settings panel are a few options for exposure and metering control.
Verdict The Redmi 6A is a fairly good update to the Redmi 5A, which itself was barely any different compared to the Redmi 4A (Review). You now get a tall screen, better processor, and improved polish overall. However, the price has gone up — Rs. 5,999 is still very good, especially considering the recent slide in the Indian Rupee's exchange rate, but it isn't quite as tempting as the Redmi 5A was at Rs. 4,999. This is also just an "introductory" price, and we don't yet know how long it will last or what it will increase to after that.
With this generation, you get 2GB of RAM across the board, rather than 3GB with the 32GB storage variant. If you can spend a little more money and want to step up the ladder, chances are you'll find the 3GB/ 32GB Redmi 6, with its fingerprint sensor and better processor, the better choice. As for the competition, the Redmi 6A delivers a superior experience compared to the equally priced Coolpad Mega 5A (Review) and the more expensive Honor 7S (Review), and even if its price rises by Rs. 1,000, we think it will remain the better option.
MIUI has so far been very well received, and it is one of the most polished non-stock Android UIs we've seen. However, that goodwill can and will evaporate if Xiaomi continues pushing ads and spam like this. The company isn't competing with the likes of Intex and Micromax anymore, but with Android One and Android Go models. We hope that Xiaomi takes note before it's too late.

Hi everyone! Today’s blog is going to be a “What’s on my Phone?” blog so I’ll be showing you my phone and what’s inside it so if you want to know more about my phone, just keep on reading.
My phone is Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (Redmi 5 Plus). This is made from China, which is obvious from its name and was released just this year, on the month of February. I didn’t know about this brand not until my boss encourage us to buy this because the owner is one of his closest friend. I’m actually eyeing for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 but when I saw the specs of Redmi 5 on the brochure that was given to us by our boss, I got amazed and thought that it might be close enought to Samsung. Since I have no budget to buy Note 8 and I badly need a new phone that time, I chose to purchase the Redmi 5 and I got that for a discounted price. I’m not sure how much it costs in malls but as per the brochure, it ranges from 10-15K.
It’s 180g in weight and 1mm in thickness which I really love because I’m a fan of large phones. It has 64GB storage so you can store a lot of songs in your library, download more apps, and of course, you can download a lot of movies because it has a big storage for files. It comes from 4 different colors: beige, pink, blue, and black. I got the black one since it’s the only available color that time.
Here is my lockscreen and as you can see, it’s a unicorn-like kind of wallpaper. I got this from the VSCO Tutorial page at Facebook and I found it so cute so I download it and made it as my lockscreen. In my lockscreen, you can see the time, date, and the network that I’m using. Obviously, I’m using Globe as my network.
This is the first slide of my phone and for my home screen, I’m using this pastel colored wallpaper with flowers on it as a design. I also got this from the VSCO Tutorial page at Facebook. Here you can see the Weather, Gallery, Settings, Themes, Google, Security, Tools and Play Store. Here in this slide, I often use the following:
1. GALLERY - Of course, this is where all my photos are stored and I always open this in choosing what to upload for my Instagram feed. Currently, I have 690 photos stored in my gallery.
2. GOOGLE
This folder is obviously all about Google where I usually browse some facts or details that I need or want to know. This is where I also open my Gmail account but not too often because I’m not actually expecting personal emails. And of course, I always, always use Youtube. My day won’t be complete without watching vlogs and listening to music.
3. TOOLS
In this folder, you can see different tools for my phone but what I really use in this folder is the Clock. It’s the only tool that I’m using because I need to set my alarm on every morning when going to work.
Now let’s go the second slide of my phone and this is my favorite one because this is where all my social media apps are located. Here you can see the Calendar, File Manager, Mi Drop, Music, Mi Video, Notes, Microsoft, MIUI Forum, MI Remote, Apps, Chat, Shareit, Games, Editing, Cleaner and Purchases. Let me explore you to the said apps and folders except those that I’m not using because I don’t have any idea on what inside that app.
1. MUSIC - This is where all my downloaded songs are stored. I usually download songs from Loudtronix and I do it weekly so that I can listen to new songs everyday. I always listen to my playlist whenever I’m commuting to work.
2. NOTES - You all know that I love making lists of what nots so I usually use this to list my blog ideas or some things to buy like room decors, grocery, etc.
3. MICROSOFT
I don’t actually use this folder but I just want to share this with you since the items stored in this folder are very useful especially in work or even in studies. This is where Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and WPS Office are located. I know I can use these items in the future so good thing I have these in my phone.
4. APPS
As I have mentioned, this is my favorite folder which is my Apps. My apps include MX Player, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, Snapchat, Twitter, We Heart It, Pinterest, Tumblr, and Caption. I guess I don’t no longer need to explain each of my apps because these are very common apps which each one of you is also using. But, let me orient you the two apps that I guess you are not familiar with which are the MX Player and Caption. The MX Player is for foreign movies without subtitles. I once download this for the movie “Veronica” which is a Spanish movie and unfortunately, it has no English subtitles that’s why I downloaded it. On the other hand, Caption is useful whenever you can’t think of any caption for your Instagram or Facebook photo. Just type the keyword for your photo and you can see a bunch of captions that you can choose from.
5. CHAT
This is where my chatting apps are located such as Messenger, Viber and Skype. The most used chatting app in this folder is Messenger. I usually use Viber whenever my boss is out of the country so it’s not really used that much, as well as Skype.
6. SHAREIT - This app is mostly used when my boy friend gives me copies of movies I want to watch or whenever my office mates wants a copy as well.
7. GAMES
This is the folder for my games which includes Wordscapes and Granny. I’m not really a gamer that’s why I just download games which really interest me a lot. Wordscapes is a word puzzle game wherein you need to fill in the boxes with words according to the corresponding letters given. On the other hand, Granny is a horror game wherein you need to escape the house without being seen by Granny. In order to escape, you must get the keys inside the house without making a sound because of you do, Granny will catch and kill you. I download this game because it’s really, really challenging and until now, I haven’t escape the house. Haha. :D
8. EDITING
Now this is my folder for editing photos. I usually use this for Instagram feed and my most used editing app for that is the VSCO. I also use Photo Grid whenever I want to achieve square photos on Instagram. Canva is also for Instagram specifically for designing your Instagram Stories. It is used if you want your stories to have cute icons. Lastly, the Pitu app. This app is trending in the social media world because you can actually edit your selfies on many Korean or Japanese models featured in this app.
9. PURCHASES
Lastly, I named this folder as “Purchases” because this is where I avail or shop something online. This includes Lazada and Globe Rewards.
Before I missed this out, i would also want to share the icons below the folders and apps which are also mostly used and very important. This includes the Contacts, Messaging, Browser and Camera. As I have mentioned, these icons are very essential and are used in a daily basis.
That’s going to be all for the details of my phone and what’s inside it and if ever I haven’t mention anything, it’s because I don’t open or use those items or icons.
See you on my next blog! :)

MIUI 10 features: 7 improvements you should know about MIUI Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 update is finally rolling out this month, coming to everything from the Redmi 3S and Redmi 5A to the Mi 6 and Mi Mix 2S. It’s not the most significant update we’ve ever seen, but there are plenty of new MIUI 10 features. What makes the update worth downloading? Here’s look at some of the best MIUI 10 features you should know about. Portrait mode for single cameras MIUI forum Portrait mode typically requires a dual camera setup in order to capture depth information and other details. But the past year has seen a trend towards software-based solutions with one camera, delivering solid results in the process. Editor's Pick Pixel 2 portrait mode: how does it compare to other phones? The Google Pixel 2 is well known for its great camera; a great camera made even better by machine learning and algorithmic processing. Whenever a picture is taken, Google's massive stash of photo data helps … Xiaomi has previously used portrait mode on its dual camera phones, but one of the coolest MIUI 10 features is a software-based portrait mode for single camera devices. The company claims it has trained its portrait mode algorithms on more than 100,000 photos, so here’s hoping for quality snaps. You can find out if your Xiaomi phone will get portrait mode by clicking here. A redesigned ‘recents’ menu MIUI Forum MIUI 9 marked Xiaomi’s first major foray into UI navigation for 18:9 screens, as it adopted swipe gestures for its full-screen smartphones. The new update continues this trend, as Xiaomi redesigns the ‘recents’ menu with tall screens in mind. The new recents menu offers a vertically scrolling list of running apps, making full use of the expanded screen real estate. You also have the ability to swipe on apps to delete them, or tap-and-hold on the apps to yield more options. Nature-inspired notifications MIUI forum In a move reminiscent of Samsung’s TouchWiz, Xiaomi has looked to nature to deliver notifications and other system sounds. The company says it’s using water droplet sounds for its alerts, adding that consecutive notifications will result in different droplet sounds. It’s meant to create a rhythm of sorts, which is pretty nifty, I suppose. A timer for relaxing? MIUI forum Speaking of nature, one of the other notable MIUI 10 features is the ability to run a timer that incorporates nature-themed sounds as it counts down. These themes range from a forest and drizzle to night-time and fire. So if you need to unwind after a stressful day, this could help. Redesigned volume/brightness sliders Xiaomi It’s not one of the biggest MIUI 10 features, but the new volume/brightness sliders certainly stand out from other phones. Tapping the volume buttons will now launch the volume adjustment overlay on the right side of the screen (close to the buttons). This differs from many other skins, which deliver a volume overlay in the center or top of the screen. Both sliders also let you adjust brightness/volume by sliding your finger anywhere on the panel, instead of on a specific point. It’s a small, but welcome, adjustment. Increased responsiveness MIUI forum As Android has evolved, Google has gone to lengths to improve the speed and fluidity of the platform. Xiaomi’s MIUI has also made this a priority in recent releases, and the latest version is no different. The company says it’s implemented two new MIUI 10 features to speed things up, in the form of “lock-free critical path” and “co-dependent prioritizing.” Whatever these features actually do under the hood, Xiaomi says the result will be a 10 percent improvement in processing speeds. India-specific additions MIUI forum Xiaomi is massive in India, coming in at number one for shipments according to at least one tracking firm. It’s not surprising to see region-specific MIUI 10 features, then. So what does Xiaomi have for the subcontinent? Editor's Pick Xiaomi Mi 8 is official: Everything you need to know Here comes the new Xiaomi Mi 8. It looks like an iPhone, it works like an iPhone, but is it any good? Let’s see what we can gleam from the info we have so far! Three … For one, there’s deeper integration with the Paytm app. Now, scanning a Paytm code with the camera app’s QR code reader will launch the Paytm app to finish the payment process. Then there’s the addition of a local services page to the browser app, filled with services for Indian users. These are progressive web apps as well, so they should behave more like an app than a mobile website. Finally, we also see some neat app-linking functionality in Xiaomi’s SMS app. For example, the SMS app will prompt you to open the Flipkart app if you received your Flipkart order details in a text. I could definitely see Xiaomi bringing this to more countries — or Google adopting this for Android at large. Are there any features or tweaks you’re excited about? Anything we missed? Let us know in the comments section! , via Android Authority http://bit.ly/2JuqGEB
