a really great (love?) story, m | kth
pairing(s): taehyung x reader
summary: Hot summer. South of France. On vacation with your younger brother's friends. Uh. Well, might as well make the most of it, despite Kim Taehyung making his weird comments every now and then. That damn French waiter put ideas in his head.
warnings: rated M (18+) for language; Taehyung is obv trying to rizz up reader and reader is having none of it (but secretly likes it, keke); smut (fem reader, fingering, m-receiving oral); romantic and hella fluff; non-idol!AU; friends-to-lovers
I bought Tae's photobook and this is the result, what can I say, he's really pretty
--
“We’d make a really great love story.”
You grimaced and raised an eyebrow. “I don’t think so.”
He frowned. His tan skin sparkled in the sun while you stayed curled up under the shade of a white beach umbrella, extra bundled in a wide straw hat and a flowy white linen cover up over a black and red sporty bikini. Even in this heat, you kept a bright yellow beach towel over your legs, not taking any chances with the blaring fireball in the sky.
Kim Taehyung asked you a question.
“Would you date me?”
You answered honestly.
“Nope.”
“Why?”
“You're too good-looking and that'll only bring trouble.”
His crochet shirt was gone, leaving him in hip-hugging dark teal baggy shorts with white stripes down the sides. His dark brown hair was damp from the ocean, tangled over his forehead. When he smiled at your reply, he showed all his teeth in a boxy grin. Your indifferent expression didn’t change. You held onto your book. You continued to show your displeasure as he ran off, long legs and rippling back muscles, knowing full well you would soon be bothered again. Sigh. You turned the next page of your book, listening to the sounds of a rambunctious volleyball game, and wondered again why you had accepted your younger brother’s request.
Damn kid fractured his ankle right before his vacation. Non-refundable plane ticket to Europe. South of France, to be exact. Hot as fuck this time of year. He didn’t want to go because it would be a pain for his friends and he wouldn’t be able to have fun, he said. That and you knew he would rather your parents dote on him all day in prime air conditioning rather than sweat it out with fear-of-missing-out. You told him you had plenty of male friends that would be interested, but your brother insisted you needed to get that stick out of your ass and have a vacation.
So, here you were.
On vacation with your younger brother’s friends. On a beach, reading a book, and, oh, look, here comes Kim Taehyung with a bowl of frozen grapes, yelling your name.
Being annoyed.
The other guys were polite. They always asked if you wanted to join in any of the activities. Some days you stayed back at the rented beach property and puttered around, reading, resting, staring at the view. To be fair, you did try some of activities, such as spending all day on the golf course being really terrible at golf. When your head turned away, some of the boys would move your ball closer to the hole so you could maintain some dignity. Nice kids. You even accompanied them to a night beach club – and saw some things that you will never speak of, yikes – and danced with a couple European guys. At some places, you translated for them when you could. Thankfully, a lot of people in the touristy areas spoke some English. Studying English literature at university hadn’t been useless after all. Although, watching a bunch of Korean guys try to hand-gesture their way in conversations was pretty damn funny. In short, so far it was a surprisingly fun and nice vacation.
Until you went with Taehyung to a fancy café wanted to visit, you being his just-in-case English translator, and the waiter mistook you two as a couple.
That was awkward.
“Oh, no, sorry. Just friends.”
It was probably Taehyung feeding you his chocolate croissant. At first, you were going to refuse, but the pastries had been pretty expensive, and you had wanted to try a bite so he had held it out and let you chomp. Then things got weird once he lifted his hand with a laugh and wiped away from chocolate from the edge of your lip, licking it off his thumb.
You did get a free lemon macaron for being a cute couple once you immediately clarified that you weren’t.
The waiter had winked. Taehyung had just smiled because he didn’t understand.
Awesome.
Once you explained, the relentless teasing began. Well, maybe teasing was the wrong word. Taehyung would just say weird shit with a grin and those sparkly brown eyes of his. Because the other guys were not interested in cute pastries or pretty photo ops spots as seen on TikTok, Taehyung finally had a chance to see these places, using you as an excuse to drag you around at dawn or dusk when the main activities weren’t happening. You had probably taken about five hundred photos of Taehyung by now.
He was very photogenic, at least.
“I think you would look good in these,” he would say during one of the many shopping trips, holding up a pair of chocolate brown, slim sunglasses.
“I’m not as a dress-up doll,” you would grumble as you removed your current cat-eye-shaped dark lenses so he could delicately place the new ones on your nose and survey his handiwork. He would tilt your head this way and that and nod to himself solidly.
“I’m going to buy them, so you have to wear them.”
Thus, you now ticked your new sunglasses down and raised your eyebrow at him as he handed you the bowl of frozen grapes. You weren’t sure what he was playing at, but then he ran off to the guys playing volleyball and act like he hadn’t done anything strange. Hah. You would catch him looking back at you while you were sucking on said grapes and roll your eyes. Was that a smirk or a residual smile from the game?
“A hot summer romance sounds fun, right?”
“Go off, then,” you replied dryly, turning the page of your book.
It was nighttime now. The guys were getting ready to go bar-hopping. You heard some hushed whispers of coming back to jump into the sea at night while drunk. Idiots. You would possibly have to play lifeguard if they followed through on being idiots. Sigh. You elected to stay behind this time, to keep the lights on and all that. You had a few packs of ramyeon in your suitcase for such drunken nights. Nothing like spicy Buldak to finish off a spicy night.
Taehyung poked your shoulder. You knew it was him because of his low whisper and his inability to stop giggling at saying ridiculous shit. You waved a hand.
“Come with us.”
“I don’t need to see you boys twerking on table again. No thanks.”
You heard him suck on his teeth, disappointed. “Join in then.”
“That is a little too weird to be doing around my lil bro’s friends, even for me.”
You glanced at him. Despite his dark, strong features, Taehyung still held that boyish charm. Or maybe it was because you couldn’t see past him being your younger brother’s friend, so he always seemed like a kid to you. He was very popular among the locals. Every time you all stepped out, people would be flocking to speak to him even though Taehyung didn’t know any French (or English, for that matter). Didn’t seem to bother anyone though.
It must be his unquestionably handsome, expressive face.
Hm.
You looked up from your book about science, sex, and murder, to encounter Kim Taehyung’s pouty expression. He was wearing a linen white and sky-blue two-piece set. Short sleeve button up and shorts, complete with floppy brown sandals. He perked up at your acknowledgement. In contrast to his summer heartthrob vibe, you wore a low-waisted long black maxi skirt, a tight black tank, and a draping dark brown lace cardigan. The cardigan color matched his eyes and the slim sunglasses perched on your head that you soon wouldn’t need anymore. The sun was slipping down to bed.
One of the guys called out to you. “Noona, do you want anything while we’re out?”
“We can pick up a man for ya!” Another chimed in loudly with a snort.
Taehyung’s expression darkened.
“Just make sure to do a head count,” you shot back. “Everyone better stay safe or there’ll be hell to pay.”
“Ooookay!”
You caught Taehyung’s look. Didn’t say anything about it. He sighed and headed off to the kitchen with purpose as the other men began to pile out of the room. You figured he was pre-gaming or getting some water. You went back to the pages, only to start as you saw a glass and a chilled bottle of white wine slide in front of you.
Dark eyes looked down at you.
You gazed at him over the top of your book.
Reached up and untangled the sunglasses Kim Taehyung had gifted you. You placed them on the counter, next to the wine glass. He turned and left. The guys crowded by the door, gathering their things and laughing. One of them came back and handed you their gold watch – “I don’t want to break it by accident” “You mean, you don’t want to accidentally give it away because you get too happy when drunk?” – giggling with a silly grin and thanking you quickly before running out the door.
Before the door closed, you noticed Taehyung shooting you an enigmatic expression.
You ticked your head and looked back without much expression.
The wine was pretty good, but you didn’t have more than two glasses.
You remembered to put the watch on the appropriate nightstand before heading out to the back porch and reading as the sun went down. It was nice to read by the sunset waves in relative calm. You must have fallen asleep somehow, breathing in the sea and sounds of summer, only to be woken up by a gentle hand on your shoulder, calling your name from far away.
Hazy and deep.
“Hm?”
You shook your head and sat up, seeing Kim Taehyung looking back at you.
“Oh? What are you doing back so soon?” you yawned behind your hand, tucking your bookmark between the pages. “Or is it later than I thought?”
He shook his head of dark waves. He smelled a little like alcohol, but not too bad. “They’re still out. I told them my tummy didn’t feel too good.”
“Ah.” You chuckled. “Too much cheese this afternoon?”
There was a lantern on the back porch, along with a few lounge chairs and low lights that snapped away any pesky bugs. An orange glow dipped over you both. Taehyung had this look in his eyes that you had seen before, although not from him specifically. You were pretty sure every guy on this vacation had considered the same thing, although you had given them none of them a reason to fuck around and find out.
He gave you his puppy-like smile.
You gave him your usual cat-like expression that didn’t mean anything at all.
“You should go lie down,” you recommended.
“You’re my total opposite, I think,” Taehyung responded, which had nothing to do with anything. You didn’t respond to that, but you didn’t tell him he was wrong either. “I wonder what you’re like with your friends.”
You thought about the last time you were in a karaoke session with your few female friends. It had ended with one friend ragdolled on a stretcher and another girl dead asleep in your bathroom until noon of the next day. Stretcher girl was fine after some fluids and a nice, cute, hot male nurse making sure she was okay.
You had hooked up with him as a thanks. For yourself. And him, sorta.
“Girls are different than boys,” and you left it at that.
He raised his hand, spreading his fingers out.
You stared at it.
Taehyung reached over with his other hand and took yours, lifting it up and placing your palm to his.
You blinked slowly.
He was warm, as was the night air. Your hand was smaller, of course, but he wouldn’t be able to engulf it that easily. His palm was rough and worn from summer. From sun, from spiking a volleyball, from swimming in the salty sea. Yours was still soft from turning pages and sipping wine.
“I always thought you would want a very pretty, elegant girl who enjoys pink, parties, and flowers,” you commented, not yet removing your hand.
You did not go around perusing thoughts of your younger brother’s friends’ love lives, because that would be fucking weird. But it was a thought. Especially when you witnessed them get into or fall out of relationships. High school had been… yup. You had covered for lil bro and the boys a few too many times; you were a much better liar. With your parents usually gone for work, you were usually the one in charge, which meant you often played babysitter to way too many idiots. For some reason, over the years, they liked to ask for your opinion of their prospective girlfriends. You suspected it was because this course of action was safer than immediately introducing them to their mothers who were much scarier when it came to their sons. After all the question was always, what would my mom think of this person? You had tried to distance yourself as they all became older, but, alas.
Somehow you always got dragged back in to looking after them.
“There has to be a flower you like,” Taehyung insisted. “There are so many flowers in the world.”
You thought about it for a moment. “I like snowdrops.”
His face brightened. “Ah, yeah, that suits you. I see it.”
Your hands were still touching, palm-to-palm.
You tilted your head.
Taehyung didn’t move his hand away.
“I always thought you were a very pretty, elegant girl who enjoys black, quiet time, and snowdrops,” he said slowly, dreamily, his words turned into honey by his smooth, low voice.
You pointed out the obvious. “I only just told you I like snowdrops.” You scoffed lightheartedly. “And I enjoy quiet time because you all are so damn noisy.”
The sparkle in Taehyung’s eyes dulled a bit.
“Have you ever thought about it?”
You recalled him saying he told the others his stomach hurt. He must have picked up a thing or two from you over the years.
“About candlelit dinners? About going on night walks, buying convenience store snacks, and eating it at the kids’ playground when no one is around?” Taehyung asked one question after another. “About standing in the rain? Sharing an umbrella? Holding hands? About that leather jacket I have, borrowing it when you’re a bit cold, standing beside each other, waiting for the midnight train?”
He interlocked his fingers with yours.
You didn’t react much, other than saying, “You do look like the male lead in a romance drama, Kim Taehyung.”
The obvious was being avoided.
After a long moment, Taehyung let go of your hand, stood up, and went to his room.
You tried to put it out of your mind.
The night was warm enough that you napped a little more. Woke up a few hours later to make ramyeon and hydrate the group, earning many drunken handshakes of enthusiastic thanks. You stayed up a bit with them, learning of the night’s exploits despite the incoherent mess of their speech, and then sent them off to bed, one by one. Cleaned up, stared at the moon for a long time, and then headed to your room. Unlike the others, you weren’t sharing a room. It was small and cozy, as expected. You placed your book by your nightstand and sat in the dark.
You weren’t quite sleepy yet, but you got ready for bed anyway.
A few years ago, you and Taehyung had a… moment.
A very fleeting moment.
It had happened at bar. You had been turning the corner in the hallway to the bathrooms, and a hand grabbed your arm, yanking hard. Your body twisted, instantly on alert, but one look at the other person, and the shock had stopped you from pulling away, thereby allowing a drunken Kim Taehyung kiss you.
The contact had been in less than a second.
He had smelled like warm leather and musky embers.
Taehyung had immediately pulled away, sputtering your name, surprised that you both found yourselves at the same bar, the inopportune fate causing this fateful accident.
“I’m sorry, I thought you were someone else – how… when…?”
You had shaken your head quickly, turning, your passing whisper by his ear.
“Forget about it.”
You entered the bathroom as a girl rounded the corner and fell into Taehyung’s arms.
At that time, you had chalked it up to weird timing. A random encounter. You had been hooking up with a different guy in Daegu. Taehyung was from there, so it wasn’t totally improbable that you could cross paths. Bold move by him. Wasn’t unheard of, though. Guys could be like that. Girls liked that stuff. When you left the bathroom, the couple was gone, which was a relief. You had gone about your night and it ended as expected. That guy had a great ass. It had ended on good terms, but ended all the same.
You wondered what made him bring it up again.
After all, he was the type of man he was, always surrounded by people vying for his attention.
He knew the type of woman you were.
Well, you had started getting a reputation among Daegu men.
After a moment of reminiscing, you stood up to pull back the curtain at your window. Your room was on the lower floor, next to the back porch, and, like a dream, there he was, Kim Taehyung against the rail, leaning over it to look towards the ocean.
You blinked slowly.
He wasn’t exactly looking inside the house, but he must have noticed your movement, because his head turned, and now you were entangled in eye contact broken by a thin pane of glass.
The shadows danced across his face. The lantern light was off but the lower lights along the ground path were still on. For safety, likely. He was only wearing a pair of white, tie-front linen pants. You wondered if Taehyung had been waiting for you or if he was simply admiring the summer night. Hard to tell. A soft breeze ruffled through his dark hair. You stood in your room, one hand on the floral curtain, the other on the button placket of your black silk pajamas. Short sleeved and shorts, breezy and slinky, perfect for the summer weather.
Moonlight shimmered off his bare chest.
After a moment, Taehyung backed away from the rail. You watched him step down the porch and walk over to stand under your window.
He tapped the glass.
You opened it.
Those dark eyes stared at you, blocking the light with his frame.
The window opened inward, a vintage latch at the center to split the two panes. You leaned out a bit, bending slightly, and now you and him were at eye level, surrounded by the salted scent of the sea instead of the dark hallway of a bar next to the bathrooms.
“You stomach didn’t actually hurt, did it?” you asked.
Taehyung smiled, but didn’t reply.
Instead, he too leaned forward a bit, inhaling softly. You had a tendency to spray your perfume in your hair. It lasted longer that way. He could probably smell it off your hair right now.
“I thought I would be fine,” he said, looking into your eyes.
You didn’t say anything.
“I thought I could forget about it,” he breathed in that deep honey voice of his.
Your eyes shifted past his, then back.
You placed your elbows on the windowsill and leaned out. You inside. Him outside. Taehyung seemed like he was searching for something in your expression. You didn’t give him anything. You wondered what he would do. The alcohol must have worn off by now. You weren’t feeling the glasses of excellent white wine anymore, at least. You remembered how the French women at the night beach club had held his arms and leaned against him, complimenting his smile and cooing over his perfect skin and beautiful dark hair. He hadn’t stopped them.
But, also, Taehyung was closing the distance right now, his warm cologne entering your private space.
“Why couldn’t you forget?” you asked, his lips centimeters from yours, viewing him through lashes.
His head was already tilted. His eyes flickered up, having lowered by instinct.
“Couldn’t help but think that you would make a wonderful female lead in a romance novel.”
You smiled, noting the detail between your words and his.
His lips pressed against yours.
You held it for a moment. Soft, deep, breathing in the scent of each other. You drew apart, hearing him suck in a breath hastily. Half-smiled, amused by his nervousness. He raised his head. You shared a questioning look. The night ocean sang, soft waves lapping at the shore.
You tilted your head towards the inside of your room.
Taehyung hesitated for a second, but only for a second.
Less than a minute later, he slipped into your room. Opened and closed the door as quietly as the old wood would allow. You paused, wondering if he had a whole script memorized, being the romantic and all, but Taehyung lifted his eyes and it seemed like he forgot everything. It seemed you had to be the one to make a move. You still stood by the open window, in your black silk pajamas. Night bathed in moonlight.
Well, you did have a reputation among Daegu men. One more couldn’t hurt.
You lifted your hand, palm towards Taehyung.
He closed the distance, almost soundless, and lifted his hand too. Palm to palm. You looked down at your touching hands, then back up at him. He was quite tall, but he wasn’t imposing his presence over you.
“You think we would make a really great love story?”
The moon caught a hint of his blush.
“You don’t think so?” he replied, unsure in the wake of you teasing back for once.
You were honest with him.
“I really don’t know.”
You angled your hand slightly so your fingers and his no longer overlapped.
“You have to be sure that you’re okay with that.”
You let your eyes linger on his chest on purpose before raising your head to make eye contact. The memory of his lips lingered. It was just like how you remembered it, even from that rushed, barely a second, frozen-in-time moment.
His kiss, however brief, had a lasting, forever type of feeling.
“You asked me if I had ever thought about it.”
His eyes widened a little bit as you mentioned the previous conversation. Like a movie, the instances played back in your head. The accidental kiss. The awkward silences when you both found yourselves alone in the smallest of moments before brushing past each other. You noticed Taehyung dating on and off, yet not committing to anyone. The times when he would notice you with other guys and quickly look away, as if he witnessed something dirty or wrong. His behavior wasn’t intrusive. He didn’t push you towards anyone, but he didn’t pull you away either.
“Not really,” you admitted. “Mostly because I didn’t think you would want the challenge.”
Taehyung stared into your eyes, slipping his fingers in between yours, holding your hand tightly.
“I think I needed to grow up a little.”
You raised your eyebrows. Looked him up and down. “Seems like you grew a lot.”
He laughed, then toned it down despite the house currently snores abode. You knew what he meant and he knew the double meaning you implied. You lifted your other hand. His chuckling died down, watching. He tensed as the pads of your fingers made contact with his forearm, walking up his muscle.
“You had a plan, hm?”
Your whisper melted into the moonlight.
“I was…” His breath stilled when you stopped. You glanced up, your fingertips poised at the bend of his elbow. “I was… going to ask you what kind of lover you are.”
You ticked your head, not yet moving your hand. “What about you?”
Taehyung’s dark eyes were barely visible under his hair fallen over his forehead.
“Yours.”
You paused.
His shoulder lifted in the lightest of shrugs.
“I heard you’re really good. Sometimes rough.”
Word got around then.
“I’m really good. Sometimes soft. So, we will balance out,” he said with a smile.
You removed your hand from his skin.
Your whisper so low it was nearly a growl.
“Is that what you think?”
The fingers of your raised hand spread. Curved. Danced over his neck. Taehyung started slightly at the contact of your middle finger sliding over his throat, your eyes locked with his, and you traced up, into the pocket of his jaw, closing your fingers around the back of his head and pulling his face down to yours.
And you kissed him.
Slow. Soft and intense at the same time, drawing in your breath. For a moment, Taehyung was suspended in surprise before leaning in, gasping against your lips, tangled in your tongue before he knew it. His own hand came up to cup your cheek, more to stabilize himself than for the passion, but then it all meshed together, kiss after kiss. One hand tangled in his hair and the other resting in the dip of his warm chest. He had one hand on your face and the other skimming along your elbow.
Surrounded by salt air and shadows.
You broke the kiss, pulling back with a sigh.
You half-expected him to retreat. Taehyung was one to flirt and not back it up. You were one to not flirt; instead, the first to move. He must have known that. For once, you played the role of the gentlemen this time, waiting for his choice. Toying with a half-smile on your lips, the erratic rise and fall of his built chest under your fingertips. Racing heart. Lingering taste. His dark eyes surveyed you under the messiness of his beach-loved hair.
In silence, you stared into his eyes, daring him to sin.
There must have been something in the French night air.
Taehyung tilted his head, feathering air-light kisses over your jaw. Your neck. You tilted your head back, to the side, letting out a sensual exhale at the tingling of your pulse. Your fingers touched the button placket of your pajamas, leisurely unbuttoning one by one. You felt his fingers ghost over one shoulder, pushing it down, exposing skin to air.
He spun you around, pressing your back to his chest.
You leaned your head back against his collarbone, silk draping down your arms.
Felt him whisper your name into your ear, low and tainted with lust.
His hands covered your chest, fingers spread, large palms hovering, statuesque in pose. Demure for half a second. Moonlight streaming over your torso. You arched your back, and Taehyung sucked in a breath, feeling your naked breasts fill his hands. His lips brushed against your neck, shuddering, and you rubbed your hard nipples into his rough palms, grazing your ass over his crotch.
“Fuck…”
You turned your head, viewing him from your periphery, melting into his touch without a word.
Your hands migrated to his sides, sliding down, adorning his hips with your curved fingers.
Taehyung moaned softly, his eyes closing. Hands all over your chest, igniting desire. Hungry but deliberate, no sense in rushing, moving to the sound of the sea. His erection pressed into the dip of your ass, linen and silk separating the skin to skin but not enough to hide the hardness to softness. Exhale. His arms crossed over your chest, soft lips on the base of your neck, and you felt him ghost his fingers down, down, past your bellybutton, dancing over the waistband of your shorts.
With one swift movement, you turned your wrist and covered the back of his hand with yours, dragging him in between the layers.
He gasped as he felt your slick wetness coat his fingertips.
Your other hand slid into his pants, grabbing his ass, pinning Taehyung to you while you pressed his fingers into the outer lips, rocking your hips into it, grinding on his growing arousal, grinning when you heard him swear under his breath again.
He shoved a finger into you.
You both moaned at the same time, the sound drowned by the crashing tide outside.
You pressed another in, and he got the hint. Middle and ring finger, his palm pressed to your throbbing clit, and you rode his hand before he moved, blossoming the pleasure all on your own. His moan rumbled in his chest, biting his lip to avoid any obvious noise. The wet sucking sound was conspicuous enough, and you tightened your core, your pussy clenching around his fingers, prompting Taehyung to lean his chin onto your shoulder, his dark hair brushing against your cheekbone, one hand teasing your nipples, the other between your legs, delicious sparks flying through your body knowing he was actively watching.
“The sounds you make… are insane…”
You weren’t aware until he said it. Soft, breathless gasps drifted out of your own lips, inaudible to anyone except for the inescapable closeness of Taehyung pinning you to his tense body. You could feel the shake creep down to your legs, your silk shorts slipping down your thighs, the fullness of each thrust making your lightheaded. And then, you felt Taehyung slightly curve his fingers.
You sucked in a breath, your eyes shutting, seeing stars, pleasure and want increasing tenfold.
“A-Ah, yes… Taehyung…”
His name polluted by sensuality. Foreign but not unwelcome. A sudden arousing surge of lovely wrongness – after all, you should not be fucking one of your younger brother’s closest friends – but you could tell it had an effect on him too. He squeezed your nipple, making you hiss, and then you felt his tongue flat against the side of your neck, sliding up, his breath hot, his impossibly deep voice husky, his command pleading.
“Cum for me.”
You raised yourself to tiptoes, the curve of your ass against his twitching bulge, and sank your nails into his hip as you came, spilling onto his palm in vibrating shivers, delicately moaning to the ceiling. The intense high rushed up your center, through your limbs, all over your nerves, and you let it take over, shuddering, growing limp in Taehyung’s flexed arms.
As expected, he did not drop you.
You stayed in the heady fog of orgasm, slowly waking as if in a lucid dream. Turned your head and found his lips, or perhaps his lips found yours. It was hard to tell. You drew his tongue into your mouth, sucking on it, sensing a growing desperation in the shallowness of his breath.
You pried your fingernails from his hip, rueful. “I got carried away. My bad.”
A hint of a mischievous smirk on Taehyung’s lips. “I never said I didn’t like it.”
You questioned him with half-moon eyes.
“Someone might see.”
The smirk morphed into more of a roguish smile. There he was. “I can say I got scratched up while roughhousing. They’re not gonna think twice about it,” he teased.
“Tch. Tricky, tricky, aren’t you, Kim Taehyung?”
You twisted like a dancer, breaking from his embrace. He let you go, somewhat reluctantly. His right hand was still glistening, covered in your orgasm. He glanced at it, mesmerized, before realizing you were kicking away your shorts and panties, tossing your unbuttoned top onto the bed. His eyes widened when your hand came into contact with his chest. You slid down. In one swift movement, you lowered to a squat, right in front of the massive tent in his pants.
Taehyung had but a second to intake a breath.
You grazed your palm down his stomach, his bellybutton, to the tie of his pants. Tugged on it, unlacing it, and then you hooked your thumbs onto the sides of the waistband and pushed them down.
Part of you was mildly shocked Taehyung was going commando.
The other part of you thought that was pretty on brand for him.
You weren’t too surprised by what you saw. He was well-kept, clean, and not fully hard yet. The latter was mostly a guess from experience. It wasn’t polite to stereotype Daegu men, but, well. If the shoe fit and all that. You raised your eyes, amused at his stunned expression, and then leaned forward to lick along the thickening length.
“Oh, shit…”
He must have expected you to simply put his cock in your mouth or wrap your hand around it. Instead, you pressed your lips to the hot, velvety skin, decorating him with kisses before flickering out your tongue and wrapping it over the head, rubbing your lips against the underside. Back and forth, curling your tongue around the swelling tip, licking off the leaking pre-cum.
He tasted strong. More enjoyable than most.
You looked up as you worked his shaft. Taehyung gasped and his cock twitched as if to affirm his attraction.
“F-Fuck, what…?”
“You should taste my cum while I suck you off,” you murmured against his balls, licking them all over as you spoke.
He wasn’t used to the multiple sensations. You could tell by his heavy pants and the tension rippling all over his torso. How unfortunate, but you would make up for that right now.
“O-Okay… fuck…”
You watched Taehyung slide his fingers into his open lips and his eyes rolled back, groaning deeply as your essence hit his tongue. In one fluid flick of your head, you swallowed his cock, relaxing as your lips pressed to the base, feeling his girth stretch out your throat. You lowered your tongue, bringing him deeper, and perhaps it was a good idea to have Taehyung lick his fingers off. His shocked whine was stifled by his own hand. You paid it no mind, slowly pulling back and diving forward, his scent filling your nose every time you inhaled, catching glimpses of him sliding his fingers in out of his mouth with each ascent.
Somehow Taehyung made the depraved act look almost dreamy.
Your fingertips balanced on the floorboards, lowering your knees to better support yourself. Not using your hands out of pride. You even leaned your head back, both to gain more air and to take him deeper with less resistance. You saw Taehyung pull his fingers out of his mouth, strings of saliva beading on his lower lip, balancing his fingers by his shivering exhales as he watched you, entranced.
You let the pleasure reflect in your eyes.
“How… wow… fuck, your tits and thighs look so good at this angle…”
The strain was prickling through your limbs. You were far too engrossed in your task to care, feeling your pussy dampen from the intoxicating adrenaline, closing your eyes to focus on the pace. Steady, intense, listening to the deepening sound of his groan, his cock throbbing in your throat, signaling he was close, and then his voice ceased, suspended, lost in the warm, encompassing reverie.
His hips tensed, snapping forward, and Taehyung gasped your name.
His hot orgasm gushed onto the back of your tongue, filling your mouth with the viscous, heady flavor, making you as lightheaded as he sounded. Through his jerking length you could feel the flinches ravage his body, and all of a sudden his large hand pressed against the back of your head, holding you down to the brink of danger.
You swallowed, trying to grasp for a sliver of oxygen.
Taehyung almost doubled over, his erotic cry muffled by his other hand slapping over his mouth, and he half-pulled out of your closed lips, only to slide back in again, slowly, groaning above your head. He was trying to keep quiet and contain his sound within the walls of this room. Everyone else in the house was probably too drunk to string a sentence together, let alone figure out sex was happening under the same roof, but it was best not to take any chances.
His expansive girth was trembling, softening as his sensitivity increased. None of that stopped him from continuing to thrust in post-orgasmic bliss, lengthening his pleasure. You swirled your tongue around him and Taehyung trembled, whispering sweet nothings like smoke, his words melding with the melodic sound of ocean waves.
After a few more thrusts, his grip lessened, backing off.
You drew back, licking your lips, throwing your head back, breathing in a long, greedy gulp of fresh salty air. There was something ethereal about the whole scene. If it wasn’t for the ache in your knees, you might have been deceived into thinking it never happened. His memorable taste was still on your tongue. You swallowed again, and then felt a hand on your elbow.
Wordlessly, you opened your eyes and let Taehyung lift you to your feet.
He stared at you, his hair over his eyes, breathing hard. His chest glistened in the moonlight. The rest of him was shadowed by your naked body.
“I…”
You waited.
“I… I should have asked if you…” He trailed off, grasping your arm tightly.
You half-smiled. “You thought I wouldn’t want to?”
There seemed to be a pink flush on his cheeks. His ears were certainly turning red. “I first wanted to ask you… No, Invite you on a proper date. Not on this vacation but… sometime soon?”
You couldn’t help but tease him. “Why so nervous when we’re naked in front of each other?”
Taehyung spared a glance down and then blushed deeper, clearing his throat. “I don’t know. I’m not usually nervous.” His dark eyes drifted back to your face. “I always thought you were beautiful. But too good for me.”
That almost made you laugh. “Too good? You know my reputation, Taehyung, and ‘good’ does not describe it.”
He shook his head.
Tugged on your arm, pulling you towards him.
“Yin and yang.”
He brought his forehead down, touching yours.
“You need both to have a really great love story.”
You breathed in his rich, warm scent, and leaned in to kiss him again. The sea, the salt air, the heat between you and him, burning, and the next day you were sitting under the beach umbrella again, laying on a teak lounger, book in hand, chocolate brown sunglasses perched on the end of your nose, secretly observing sun-kissed Kim Taehyung diving into the foamy waves as he snuck glances back at you, admiring your watchful form.
You smiled in shade as Taehyung dazzled in the sun.

i MUST know about the unseelie court casefile
I’ve been intrigued by the idea of a missing persons case where the body of someone who’d been missing for 20 years was found, but they hadn’t aged at all. I also wanted to explore M&S at the very beginning of their sexual relationship and how that might affect how they went about an investigation.
I started it almost two years ago and have a couple chapters done, but haven’t had the time sit down and actually PLOT. Which casefile’s require. I also don’t want to release as WIP, which tends to take a lot more time because my neurodivergent brain needs the ticking clock of a deadline and the encouragement of comments to really get shit done. So here we sit.
I’ve released parts of it before, I think, but here’s the beginning:
Not far above the pavement of US-23, the forest dripped. The rain was gentle but steady, the highway as black and slick as a surfacing seal. Ahead, they could just make out the panning red and blue lights of a tangle of squad cars. The trees that edged the roadway pushed in and down, as oppressive as low-hanging clouds. Beside her, Mulder sighed.
They’d been awoken early by a call from a Sheriff three counties down and four over, who’d heard of Mulder by reputation. They had a body and a bit of a situation and would he and his partner come take a look? It was the first time that Scully had stayed over, and she’d felt embarrassed that she was there when the call came in though it wasn’t as though either of them had trumpeted her presence. She’d rolled out of bed and refused to meet his eye as he hung up on the Sheriff and dialed Skinner.
Later, when he walked into his kitchen, dressed and shaven, he’d said, “Listen, Scully, if you regret what we’ve been-”
“I don’t,” she interrupted him, handing him a steaming mug of coffee and finally bringing her eyes to his. “I don’t.”
“Mea cuppa,” he’d said quietly, raising the brew to his lips. She’d been forced to smile at the pun.
It hadn’t been fair of her to seduce him, though it had been a glacial, cerebral wooing, inevitable, really, in every sense of the word. Mulder was tender-hearted and obsessive and after their second time together, she should have known that no amount of her stoicism or sense of workplace propriety would keep them from wanting to be together all the time. Last night, she’d had a foot out the door and was pushing him away with one hand and pulling him back with the other, his fingers tangled in her hair in masochistic bliss.
They still weren’t sure how to be with each other, and that morning they’d walked down to Mulder’s car in a loaded, restless silence.
Mulder eased up on the gas as they approached the cluster of brown police cruisers and cut the windshield wipers. There were deputies leaning against hoods, wearing those ridiculous plastic rain beanies over their service caps and trying to appear important. Mulder pulled over, parking haphazardly on the berm and looked out his window, where a small inland lake spread out to the east and west, the body they’d come to investigate lying under a blue tarp on top of a thin strip of dark, mealy sand.
They got out of the car and the Sheriff, holding a large black golf umbrella, pushed his way through his men, stepping up to Mulder and holding out a hand.
“Thanks for coming,” the man said by way of greeting, and Mulder nodded toward him and introduced him to Scully.
“Call came in this morning,” the man said after trading introductions. “Dog walker found him.” He turned to one of the deputies, a younger man with blond eyebrows and a pixie-ish nose, freckles smattered over the bridge of it. “Avery, you got the file?”
Deputy Avery stepped forward. “Right here, sir,” the younger man said, handing over a beat up file folder; a brown, vintage-looking thing with a faux-wood finish. He gave the two agents a friendly smile and stepped back.
Scully nodded at the folder now gripped in the Sheriff’s hand. “You got an ID?”
The Sheriff sort of shook his head and nodded at the same time. “That’s why we called you out,” he said, handing over the file. “No apparent cause of death,” he added as an afterthought. “Forensic unit out of Richmond is on their way out.”
Mulder flipped the file open and read for a moment before looking back up. “Missing persons?” The older man nodded, looking uncomfortable. “Must feel good to close such a cold case,” Mulder went on before looking back down at the paperwork. Scully leaned over to get a look at it. The victim was male, was in his early twenties when he’d gone missing in 1976, last seen wearing white sneakers and jeans and a yellow striped top.
“You’re confident of the identification?” she asked dubiously, ‘76 being a quarter of a century past.
The Sheriff swallowed. “There was no ID on the body, but… we’re pretty confident.”
Mulder flipped the file closed. “Let’s take a look,” he said.
“Andy!” The Sheriff called out, and a deputy who had been standing near the tarp-covered body waved back. “Andy was first on scene,” he said to the two agents.
Mulder noticed that when he and Scully began to pick their way down the embankment towards the small beach, none of the members of the sheriff’s department joined them.
As they approached, Mulder got a better look at Andy the deputy, who barely looked old enough to drive. It was likely he’d pulled corpse-sitting duties in an act of hazing. His arms were crossed over his chest while the walkie clipped to his shoulder gave a steady susurration of dispatch chatter. He gave off an air of indifference, but he was plowing through a stick of gum, working his tongue at it elaborately, snapping it nervously through his teeth.
“What time did the call come in?” Scully asked, crouching down next to the body, her knees softly popping.
“About seven am,” he answered, then added, “ma’am.”
“Someone walking their dog, the sheriff said?” She lifted up a corner of the tarp to get a look at the victim’s face. Mulder watched as her eyebrows furrowed into a chevron of confusion.
The deputy nodded, continuing to gnaw on his gum, and hooked his thumbs through his shiny utility belt.
Mulder noted the pawprints and shoe prints of the dog walker who’d found the body. The sand underneath them was damp, but firm, and showed only a few other prints, all of them looking to be standard police-issue.
“Did you examine the body?” Mulder asked him.
“There was no pulse, no ID on him,” the deputy replied.
“How did you-”
“Hey Mulder?” There was a sharpness to her tone that made Mulder stop talking. “Can you take a look here?”
Scully peeled back the corner of the tarp, revealing a young-looking man with dark hair. He was dressed in jeans, white tennis shoes and a yellow striped tee shirt. He couldn’t have been more than twenty-five. Mulder glanced down at his hand, which was still holding the archaic looking missing persons file. “Huh,” he said. Scully reached up and touched his wrist, and he knew that she’d find his pulse beating rabbit-quick.
“If you don’t mind,” the deputy said, clearing his throat. “I’m going to…” he hooked a thumb up toward the rest of his compatriots and beat a hasty retreat.
“Those clothes don’t look twenty years old,” Mulder said.
“Twenty six,” Scully corrected, still hunched close to the ground. “Can I see the file?” Mulder handed it over without a word, and Scully flipped through it quickly, her eyes scanning the contents.
“This can’t be right,” she said.

A Comprehensive Guide to Ben Sayers Golf Equipment – Quality, Heritage, and Innovation
Ben Sayers is one of the most highly regarded and oldest brands in the world of golf. Known to fashion reliable and high-quality equipment, Ben Sayers offers a wide range for golf clubs, bags, and accessories specifically fitted to the amateur and professional golfer. This guide discusses its legacy, equipment offerings from the brand, and why it remains trusted by many golfers.
Legacy of Ben Sayers
Ben Sayers was founded back in 1873 in North Berwick, Scotland, and is considered one of the oldest golf equipment manufacturers in the world. The company took his name from Ben Sayers himself, who was a brilliant golfer and a maker of golf clubs. He started making clubs that showed great skill and attention to detail in the field. His artistry and competitive spirit brought many modern technologies and standards into golf as it is known today.
Over the years, Ben Sayers earned its name in the industry through the continuous release of innovatory designs of the club and novelty in golfing technology, such as the production of the very first rubber-core golf balls, among designing other clubs that featured many of his innovative, patented designs. For this reason, it has continued in innovating and giving cost-effective, high-quality gear to players at all levels, hence ensuring its legacy lives on within the modern world of golf.
Range of Ben Sayers Golf Clubs
Ben Sayers offers everything from entry-level complete sets up to individual mid-range clubs and even advanced premium sets. Their clubs are designed to emphasize balance, control, and distance in order to help one improve their game while enjoying a more reliable, comfortable experience.
a. Ben Sayers M8 Package Set
The M8 Package Set is one of the most popular deals from this brand, considered especially great for both beginners and players of average skills. It boasts graphite shafts with lightweight handling and has an oversized clubhead, allowing players to have a more forgiving hit. It's perfect for anyone who's looking for a complete starter kit that balances affordability with quality.
b. Ben Sayers XF Pro Range

The range offers drivers, each with adjustable loft options, thereby enabling players to dial into their ideal launch angle for maximum distance and accuracy.
c. Ben Sayers XF Red and XF Black Series
The XF series caters to mid- to high-handicap golfers, with special clubhead designs that enhance forgiveness. The XF Black driver features an enlarged clubface and higher MOI to assist in hitting straighter shots even on off-center hits. In the XF Red and Black series irons, deep undercut cavities lower the center of gravity and make the clubs easier to hit and power up for control.
Ben Sayers Golf Bags and Accessories
Ben Sayers produces a line of golf bags and accessories to complement their clubs by offering great convenience in style to a golfer.
a. Ben Sayers Stand Bags
Ben Sayers stand bags are very hard-wearing, light, and offer ample storage. Most come with various pockets, such as a valuables pocket, an insulated cooler pocket, and even an umbrella holder. The dual-strap design means comfort is ensured, enabling a golfer to tote their bag around on course with ease.
b. Ben Sayers Cart Bags
Ben Sayers cart bags are for those who rely on a golf cart to get them around the course. These are larger than stand bags and thus offer extra storage. With fully featured options with a 14-way divider to a rain hood, they are also very light, making it very easy to maneuver them with ease.
c. Ben Sayers Accessories

A combination of adjustable drivers with forgiving irons enables the advanced players to control the game a lot easier and find maximum distance.
FAQs
Q1: What makes Ben Sayers golf clubs perfect for beginners?
The Ben Sayers' line of golf clubs is highly recognized for being forgiving, lightweight, and affordable, thus being perfect for beginners. Clubs like the M8 set help provide all the main needs required for one to start playing, assisting beginners in controlling their shots to build confidence in courses.
Q2: Will Ben Sayers clubs be good for low-handicap golfers?
Generally, Ben Sayers clubs cater to the beginning and intermediate golfer; however, their XF Pro range provides different options for those higher-skilled golfers. More advanced golfers that like forgiveness and control with their clubs may find the Ben Sayers equipment quite suitable for their game.
Q3: How is the quality of Ben Sayers versus the other leading brands?
Ben Sayers produces very high-quality equipment, mostly performance-oriented, durable, and at least in the entry to mid-range category. Where the Callaway or Titleist company would probably sell the high-end options, Ben Sayers offers great value for money-the person who is hunting for quality but does not want it to come at a hefty price.
Q4: What is the difference between Ben Sayers XF Red and XF Black series?
Both the XF Red and XF Black series are designed for forgiving clubs for golf players. The XF Black series driver, for instance, contains a higher MOI that makes it simpler to hit straighter shots. Both series are for forgiveness; though some players might prefer one series to the other because of feel and design preference.
Q5: Does Ben Sayers sell their clubs individually, or does it have to be bought in a set?
Of course, Ben Sayers offers complete sets and even some individual clubs can be selected separately for golfers. The M8 set can be bought as a full package but in XF Pro series the irons and drivers are available individually so as to provide mixing and matching.
Conclusion
The Ben Sayers brand has also stood the test of time, leveraging the perfect blend of heritage and innovation to provide quality golf equipment. Be it a complete beginner who is looking to buy his first set or an intermediate player looking to enhance his game-the choice of Ben Sayers can never go amiss. With Ben Sayers, it's easy to get on the game and start to improve with its affordable pricing, reliable performance, and designs crafted for forgiveness and control.

Locker room close-out but make it fashun
I love this team; I love their questionable fashion choices; I love how they seem to have a team dress-code even when not wearing officially licensed gear, because apparently there are only clothes in a carefully-curated selection of four (4) colors in their collective closets. At least this time Patch was not wearing one of those threadbare, two-sizes-too-small underamours which drive me to distraction.
I could not help but do a round-up of their end-of-the-year looks (thanks Ryan the Hockey Guy on Twitter for actually taking pics of their shoewear it was Important) (thank you Jesse Granger for the pic of Nabber) (no thanks to the official team twitter which is driving me bonkers for posting videos late & at random intervals; they’re still posting them! what are they doing). Here they are, sorted by type of garment/color:
Hats: seven (7) [Pete] [Shea] [Jack] [Mark] [Brayden] [Zach] [William] [Jonathan]
Sub-category: Hats worn backwards: two (2) [William] [Jonathan]
Off-white T-shirts: three (3) [Jack] [Mark] [Brayden]
Gray (T-)shirts: two (2) [Mark] [Alec]
Faded earth-red T-Shirt: two (2) [Jonathan] [Max]
Black shorts: four (4) [Mark] [Brayden] [Jack] [Shea]
Gray shorts: one (1) [William]
Light shorts: two (2) [Jonathan] [Zach]
(frankly excessive) number of pairs of slides worn: two (2) [Pete] [Brayden]
(horrifying) number of pairs of Birkenstocks sandals: two (2) [Mark] [Jack]
Total number of colors: five (5)
This is our sadness #MetGala, but we gotta endure, and persevere, and hand out some meaningless awards:
Worst dressed: Pete
Reasoning: Pete, beloved, my ill-advised crush, where are you going with those slides: for sure not on vacation in a desert setting because you’re also wearing a jacket and long pants and you also have an important meeting with GMKM later this week. Is this what job insecurity does to a guy? Where did you put the gorgeous blue three-piece suit you wore for the last game? Or at least a pair of shoes that don’t show off your toes. May I interest you in some crocs, Pete? They might be an improvement and they never fail to make me smile.
Second to worst dressed: Brayden
Reasoning: It’s the damned slides ofc. Brayden, also beloved, where are you going, why are you doing this to me personally when we all know that you are secretly in your model era. Damn, that suit was for sure a nice respite in the shitshow that was the last month of the season. Thank you, Brayden, for that. Now ditch the slides.
Hmmmmm (derogatory) dressed: Mark, Jack
Reasoning: The Birkenstock sandals. They are such a North-American thing, istg they should come with an age limit: Are you under 60? Then these are not for you. Oh, you’re promising to only use them to go in your yard? Nope, don’t believe you, sorry. May I point you in the direction of these sexy leather flip flops?
Best dressed: Jonathan
Reasoning: Thank you, Jonathan, for my life those pastel mint green shorts; from the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU. I mean, can the man rock the common jerk misfit look: snapback worn backwards, loose unbranded t-shirt, short shorts. Flaunt the goods, Jonathan; show the spirit: you’ve earned it by having your first 30-goals season of your career, not being ashamed of publicly declaring your membership in the ‘NHLers who can’t read’ club, and also for wearing this look earlier in the season. The law forbids me from speaking of that ass suit. Love the slightly mischievous energy you always exude, just looking at your face makes me happy that you’re on my team. [You kinda look like this terrible Italian politician sometimes, but I’ll forgive this and a lot more <3]
Best hair: Max
No, I won’t be taking any questions at this or any other time.
Best everything: Zach
Reasoning: <3
I already miss them. I hope they have the nicest off-season: may their golf handicaps remain obscenely low; may all their drinks have sparkly umbrellas in them and may all their dates feel like April 25th.
#this was just a silly thing i did for me#my horrible opinions#vegas golden knights#pete deboer#jack eichel#jonathan marchessault#max pacioretty and his hair#william karlsson#zach whitecloud#mark stone#shea theodore#brayden mcnabb#alec martinez

✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰
Rain is something that every Kildare resident has become accustomed to. The rainy summer months were simply a nuisance to everyone who lived in the OBX.
You couldn't quite understand the contempt the people of this town had for the bad weather. To you, the rain was refreshingly familiar. It reminds you of splashing in the puddles with your older brother and being playfully scolded by your mother for tracking mud into the house. The rain is your childhood.
When you spot the dark clouds on your way out of the house that morning, your mood becomes instantly brighter. You play upbeat music as you walk to visit your dad at work.
Your father is the manager of Kildare’s finest Resort and Spa so you practically grew up there. Making friends has never come easily for you and so some of your finest childhood memories were made running through the grass fields in the courtyard and being the honorary taste tester for the kitchen staff.
The rain gives you an extra skip in your step and you rush through helping your dad with some of his paperwork so you can get back outside quicker.
Not every Kildare native has the same mindset that you do. To JJ Maybank, the rain is a reminder of the days he was forced to stay inside with his father. The cracking thunder reminds him of being hidden under his bedsheets in fear, with no one to comfort him.
The blonde’s fingers quickly fumble to punch in the well-known number of his best friend. The phone rings, and rings, and rings, until the crackly sound of John B’s voicemail box fills his ears. He tries Kiara and even Pope, before ultimately giving up.
The one day his bike is in the shop, it rains and none of his friends answer their phones.
Despite every instinct he has, JJ knows he has no choice but to walk home in the rain. His clothes are already sopping wet against his skin even after a brief minute of standing under the downpour.
He shivers, arms wrapping around his body as he prepares himself to make the journey home.
Before JJ can even take one step forward, a bright yellow blob moves towards him, catching his attention. The blob slowly morphs into a figure as it approaches.
“Hello,” a sweet feminine voice calls out to him. JJ’s brows instantly furrow at the sight of the teen girl in the bright yellow raincoat, holding an equally bright, yellow umbrella.
“Um, hi?” he replies over the sound of the rain, his voice coming out in more of a questioning tone.
You quickly move your hand so that your small umbrella is covering both of your heads.
“Thanks,” JJ mutters, still confused. You offer him a sweet smile. He takes the moment to scan your face. You're easily one of the most gorgeous girls he's ever seen and he wonders how he's gone this long without noticing you.
“You looked like you needed it more than me,” you explain with a shrug, eyes falling away from JJ’s piercing blue ones. “Where are you headed? I didn't drive here but I'm sure my dad wouldn't mind if I borrowed his car to take you home.”
His eyes widened in realization. “Oh, um, your Mr. (Y/L/N)’s daughter right?” You reply with a simple nod. “It's fine, I'll just walk.”
Your lips pull down into a sudden frown and JJ has an intense urge to make you smile again. “It would be much faster for me to drive you,” you urge, “Plus, if you walk home without an umbrella, you'll definitely catch a cold.”
JJ can't help but smile softly at your kindness which you eagerly return with one of your own. “How ‘bout you just let me borrow your umbrella then?” he asks jokingly.
“Well that would work, but this is my favorite umbrella.” This is a lie. You have two other umbrellas just like it at home.
“Well I guess you'll just have to give me a ride home then,” JJ gives in.
Your smile grows as you link your arm with the blondes and pull him to your dad's fancy sports car. JJ gives you directions back to the Chateau and you oblige.
The two of you make conversation for almost the entire drive, only breaking when you stop to turn up a song you like. JJ is pleasantly surprised when you never mention the length of the drive or the rundown houses you pass.
A few minutes later, You pull up to the chateau, putting the car in park. The car goes quiet besides the sound of rain hitting the rooftop.
JJ looks over at you with a soft smile. “Thank you, really, for the ride,” he tells you genuinely as he gathers his things.
“Any time, Maybank.”
Over the next two weeks, you start to spend a little more time at the hotel, bumping into JJ anytime the opportunity arises. The blonde is used to eating his lunch on his own in the back room, but when you ask if he'll join you for lunch on the golf course, he can't possibly say no.
“So then my friend John B had to practically drag me out of the water,” JJ says, continuing his story about getting stung by a jellyfish. “I couldn't walk for three straight days.” His words are muffled by the bite of the sandwich he has in his mouth causing you to giggle. JJ smiles at the sound, wanting nothing more than to make you laugh like that again.
“You know I've always wanted to learn how to surf,” you tell him, causing his eyes to widen. “But after your stories, I might not,” you add with a laugh.
“You've never been surfing,” the blonde asks in disbelief to which you respond with a head shake. “How long have you lived here?”
You smile. “All my life.”
“You've lived here all your life and you've never been surfing?”
“I've been paddleboarding,” you offer with a sheepish smile.
JJ chuckles slightly at your lame joke, but mostly at how adorable you are. “Come surfing with me tomorrow,” he says, softly grabbing your hand in his causing you to blush hard.
“Tomorrow?”
“Yeah. I have the day off and my friends and I were planning to go anyway.”
Your eyes widen and you gulp slightly. “Your friends are going to be there,” you ask warily.
JJ nods in confusion. “Yeah my friends will be there, unless,” a look of realization sweeps over his face, “Oh. You don't want to go with my friends.” His hand drops yours onto the blanket you brought.
“No,” you tell him earnestly, grabbing his hand back. “It's not that I don't want to go with them, it's that I don't think they will want me there.” JJ looks at you in confusion. “You and your friends are the most looked up to friend group on this island. It's an unspoken thing that everyone wants to be you guys. I just don't think they'll want me butting into your group.”
JJ frowns. Is that really what you think of yourself? The blonde has only known you for a few weeks, but at that time he's decided that you are the kindest, most selfless person on this island. Why you are unable to see that, is beyond him.
It's the first moment in JJ’s life that he has the sudden urge to kiss you. But he can't, he knows that. He knows it won't be the last time he gets this feeling (not with your perfect pouty lips and kind heart around him all the time), but he pushes the thought to the back of his mind for now.
“(Y/N),” he says, drawing your attention back up to his eyes. “Trust me, they'll love you.” What's not to love? But he doesn't say that last part out loud.
JJ doesn't know it, but this moment is also the first time you have the urge to kiss him. The urge to wrap your hands around his neck and pull his lips to meet yours. Your heart rate increases rapidly and you push the thought aside as well.
With promises of meeting the next day, you bid JJ goodbye, the butterflies in your stomach not diminishing until the blonde is out of your sight.
The next afternoon you spend thirty minutes trying on all of your bikinis. You want more than anything to have a good impression on JJ’s friends.
You are slipping a pale green tank top over your bikini as the doorbell echos through your house. “I'll get it,” you tell out, hoping no one gets to the door first.
Grabbing the rest of your things and shoving them into your tote bag, you quickly run downstairs. When you make it to the door you spot your older brother Sam reaching to open it.
“Sam wait,” you yell, rushing to open the door first. You pull the handle revealing JJ. He's dressed in a pair of grey cargo shorts, a worn black tank top, and his infamous red snapback. “Hey,” you say with a smile.
“Hey.”
“(Y/N), where are you going,” Sam asks from behind you. You turn around to see your brother giving you a look that resembles that of a worried parent.
“I'm going surfing with JJ and his friends,” you tell him quickly. JJ waves at your brother, slightly intimidated by the tall boy.
Sam looks over your shoulder at JJ before snapping his eyes back to you. “Did you tell mom and dad about this?”
You roll your eyes lightly. “I'm not ten, Sam,” you say sarcastically. “I don't have to get permission every time I leave the house.”
Sam’s eyes move back to JJ, only to see that the blue-eyed boy is already looking at you. “Keep her safe, will you?” he asks with a sigh.
JJ looks at your brother. “Of course,” he promises.
You smile, kissing your brother on the cheek. “Love you, Sam.”
He responds with the same and the two of you are quickly moving off your front porch and towards the street.
JJ watches your expression as you approach the pogue van, expecting some sort of disgust of their old vehicle.
He opens the passenger door for you, making you blush hard, before moving to the driver's seat. “Sorry it's not the nicest car,” he says as the van sputters to life, slightly cringing at the sound of the old engine.
“What are you talking about,” you say with an honest smile, “This is literally the coolest car ever.” You stick your hand out the window letting the wind hit it as giggles escape from your mouth.
JJ’s lips stretch into a wide smile at the sight.
The two of you laugh and sing along to whatever song comes on the radio. It's just like the night you drove him home from the hotel except now, the sun is shining bright above you.
When JJ pulls the van up to the front of the run down Chateau, you feel your palms begin to sweat. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” you ask the boy next to you, not taking your eyes off the front porch.
JJ smiles. “They're gonna love you,” he says confidently, “Now come on before I die of heatstroke.” He hops out of the car, running around to your side and helping you out.
You chew your lips nervously as the two of you walk up the steps and across the front porch.
“We're here,” JJ announces as he opens the door for you.
The first thing you notice when you enter the little house is the pungent smell of weed. Despite not smoking yourself, you don't mind the scent. The second thing you notice is the three teenagers sitting on a worn couch.
A girl with curly brown hair throws her hands up into the air. “JJ’s brought a girl home,” she exclaims with a chuckle.
The blonde beside you rolls his eyes. “Shut up Kie.”
The girl who you assume is Kiara, stands up, and runs over to you. Much to your surprise, she pulls you into a tight hug. You stand there in confusion for a second before hugging her back. “I'm Kiara, but you can call me Kie,” she says, pulling away. “Those two dumbasses are John B and Pope,” Kie tells you, pointing to the two boys still sitting on the couch. They lift their chins in a greeting.
“So are you guys ready,” JJ asks, breaking the tension.
The boys stand up and the five of you walk outside before piling into the van. John B and Kiara sit in the front and JJ, Pope, and you in the back.
“JB, where's Sarah,” Pope asks.
“Couldn't make it,” John B replies, “Said she had family stuff.”
“John B, you're dating Sarah Cameron, right?” you ask sweetly.
John B nods. “Yeah, you know her?”
“Not really, we had English together last year,” you say, watching as the brunette boy’s expression remains stoic. “I don't know if she'll like me though. I kind of punched her brother in third grade for making fun of my friend's dress.”
The whole group laughs loudly and you blush hard, not meaning for that to slip out. JJ uses the moment to wrap his arms discreetly across your shoulders.
“I think she'll definitely like you then,” John B says. “That's badass.”
A few minutes later, the van pulls up to a secluded spot on the beach.
“Wow, it's beautiful here,” you say in awe.
JJ nods as he and Kie take the surfboards down from the roof of the van. “This is our secret pogue spot.”
“Oh,” you say looking down, feeling out of place.
Pope hands you one of the boards. “You're basically an honorary pogue if we bring you here,” he says with a kind smile. “Think of this as your initiation.”
You smile back, relieved that JJ’s friends aren't annoyed by your presence. JJ tries to hide a smile of his own, loving that you are getting along with his friends considering they're the only family he has.
The five of you walk down to the beach, finding a good spot to lay down your stuff.
JJ can't take his eyes off of you as you slip your tank top over your head. His little heart can't handle how gorgeous you are. You're wearing a small blue and white floral bikini, leaving little to the imagination.
“You okay, Maybank?” you ask, snapping him out of his trance. He nods dumbly, making you chuckle. “C’mon,” you say, grabbing your board in one hand and holding the other out to the blonde.
This sets him into motion and he quickly grabs his own board and links his fingers with yours. He has to remind himself to take in this moment, wanting to remember the first time you ever held his hand.
“So how do I do this,” you ask once you have paddled out into the water.
JJ nods. “Normally I would have you do some exercises on land first, but I say you just go for it,” he says, floating on the board next to you.
“Great plan, Maybank,” you say with a slight eye roll. “If I die it's on you.”
JJ laughs. “You're not gonna die, (Y/N),” he tells you. “The waves are small today anyways.”
He explains the basics of how and where to stand before demonstrating on a wave. You admire how his tan body moves gracefully on the board. He makes it look so easy and you smile at the look of concentration he has.
JJ ladles back out to where you are when he is done. “Maybank,” you exclaim. “That was amazing.”
JJ smiles wide. “Now it's your turn.”
You grimace. “It's not gonna look like that.”
“Don't worry, that took years of practice,” he encourages before pointing behind you. “Look, there's a perfect wave coming.”
You look at the wave, gulping in anticipation. “Wish me luck.”
“You got this,” he yells making you laugh. Your heart pounds in your chest as you line yourself up the way JJ had. When the wave comes toward you, you attempt to put your foot where JJ told you. Instead, you miss and fall into the water before you even have the chance to stand.
JJ’s heart drops the moment your head disappears under the water. The waves weren't too big and the current shouldn't be strong at this time of day, but he couldn't help the sick feeling he got watching you fall.
The moment your head pops up out of the water he breathes a sigh of relief. The sound of your laughter is enough to calm his anxieties.
You slide back on your board, paddling back over to JJ. “Well that was embarrassing,” you say with a giggle.
JJ smiles with a small shake of his head. “No one gets it on their first try,” he reassures her. “If you stood up just now I would have sent you straight to a surfing competition.”
A few more tries (and fails) later you notice the sun starting to set over the horizon.
“You ready to go back in,” JJ asks from his board next to you.
You shake your head. “I want to give it one more go,” you tell him. “But you go in and watch from the beach.”
The blonde frowns. “Are you sure?”
“I'll be fine, Maybank,” you say with a small smile. “Plus, then you can watch me better when I shred some waves,” you add in a mock surfer voice.
JJ gives you a slight eye roll before making his way to shore. He meets up with the rest of the pogues who are coming back from up the beach where they had found some bigger waves.
“Getting bored of teaching the newbie,” John B asks when he sees JJ.
JJ gently shoves the boy. “No,” the blonde replies plainly. “She just wanted to give it one last try before we head in.”
The four of them watch from the sand as you make your way towards an upcoming wave.
“I bet you five bucks she doesn't even stand,” John B whispers to Pope.
“Hey,” JJ snaps, turning to look at his two friends. “What are you two idiots doing.”
“Definitely not betting on your girlfriend,” Pope says, sarcasm laced in his voice.
JJ blushes at the word 'girlfriend’. “She's not my girlfriend.”
Even Kie rolls her eyes at this. “Yeah, okay.”
They go silent as you get closer to the wave, watching as you paddle along it. In one graceful motion, you position your feet, straightening your legs until you are standing.
The four pogues cheer as you ride the wave. It's definitely not perfect, but JJ couldn't be more proud.
You ride the wave in, throwing your board on the sand as you run-up to the group. “I did it guys,” you exclaim happily.
Running up to JJ, you wrap your arms around his shoulders, practically jumping into his arms. He catches you easily, spinning you around in excitement.
The blonde puts you down after a minute, reluctant to let go of you. You look up into his eyes, feeling the tension grow.
“You did awesome, girly,” Kie says, drawing your attention away from JJ.
He smiles as he watches you interact with his friends. At that exact moment, his heart feels so full, but he can't explain it.
After everyone is done congratulating you, the six of you gather your things before piling into the van. You tell jokes and chat on the way back to your house.
You give JJ a soft kiss on the cheek before bidding everyone else goodbye. Despite rolling his eyes when his three best friends make fun of him for it, having your lips on his cheek is the last thing he thinks about before drifting off to sleep that night.
Yes, he's definitely falling for you.
Over the next few weeks, you grew closer and closer with the pogues. A few days after your surfing adventure you met Sarah Cameron for the first time, and after that, you were basically a pogue yourself.
When you invited JJ over for dinner at your house, the blonde assumed your parents would hate him like every other kook family. However, your parents and brother treated him with nothing but kindness and respect (how could they not after all the stories you have told them).
Looking back, that was the night you knew you were in love with JJ. Watching him laugh and have meaningful conversations with your family made you fall even harder for him.
Tonight, almost five months after you first met JJ on that rainy night, you are lounging on the floor of John B’s living room cracking jokes with your friends.
You told your parents you were spending the night at Kiara’s, knowing that they would ask fewer questions.
“Kie, pass me the blunt, would you,” John B asks from his spot next to Sarah.
You are sitting next to JJ, your legs stretched across his and your back pressed against the couch. Your eyes watch as John B places the blunt to his lips, inhaling the vapor.
The brunette lifts an eyebrow. “You wanna hit, (Y/N),” John B asks, holding the blunt out with two fingers.
Before you can even open your mouth, the blonde beside you speaks up. “She doesn't smoke JB,” he says annoyed at his best friend for even asking.
You look at him confidently. “Actually, I think I'd like to try,” you say, causing everyone to look at you in shock.
“You sure?” JJ asks softly from next to you. You nod and John B passes you the blunt.
Placing it in between your lips, you inhale like you had seen John B do earlier. Only, when you do it, it sends you into a coughing fit.
JJ rubs your back with a slight eye roll. “Atta girl,” he says with a small chuckle.
It doesn't take long for you to be high out of your mind. You're a lightweight when it comes to alcohol and you probably should have guessed you would be a lightweight when it came to weed too.
At some point in the night, you find yourself sprawled out on one of the hammocks outside in a large, ratty t-shirt you assume belongs to JJ. The stars spin above you and you giggle.
“(Y/N)?” you hear the voice of the boy you're madly in love with, approach.
“Maybank,” you cheer when he finds you on the hammock. He gestured for you to move over and once you do so he plops down next to you.
You're instantly pulled into JJ’s toned chest and you let your head rest easily on his shoulder.
“Is everyone else asleep?” you attempt to whisper, but it comes out louder than you had anticipated.
JJ’s hands find your hair and begin to play with it lightly. “Mhm.”
“So it's just me and you?” you ask sweetly, words slightly slurred from the weed in your system.
He hopes you can't hear how fast his heart is beating from having you this close. “Just you and me.”
“JJ can I ask you a question,” you mumble, the weed making you only slightly more confident.
“F’course,” JJ tells you.
You use your fingers to trace lazy patterns on his bare chest. “How come you never call me any nicknames,” you ask with a pout. “Like I call you ‘Maybank’, y’know and you have a nickname for every one of our friends except me.”
JJ doesn't answer right away and even your wasted mind thinks that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to ask.
“Because I like your name,” he finally says after a while.
A small “oh” is all you can muster, so the blonde boy continues. “I like saying your name. It's really pretty and I like the way it sounds,” he tries to explain, slightly cringing at his words.
“I like you,” you blurt, but it comes out in a slow drawl.
“What,” JJ asks quickly, eyes widening in shock. When you don't reply, he looks down at you only to find you fast asleep on his chest.
His brain is going a mile a minute trying to comprehend what you said. You must've meant it in a friendly way because there's no way someone like you would like a guy like him. Right?
The blonde lays there for hours, unable to sleep with your words on his mind (and your head over his heart). Finally, he coaxes himself to sleep with the thought that you were high out of your mind and didn't mean anything you said.
The next morning you wake up alone in the bed of John B’s guest room. You have no idea how you got there and have little recollection of the previous night.
You stumble out of the small room with a headache and feeling slightly nauseous.
“Morning, sleepyhead,” Sarah says with a smile when you appear in the kitchen.
You look around the room, noticing that you were the last one awake. “What happened last night,” you groan, plopping down in the seat between Kiara and JJ
“Well,” Pope says with a smirk. “You had your first official experience with weed.”
You groan again, laying your head in your arms which are folded on the table. You feel a familiar hand rest on your back and you turn your head to look at JJ. He smiles at you and a sea of butterflies erupt in your stomach.
“Well, I should probably get home,” you say, sitting up. JJ pouts at your words and you giggle, leaning over to give him a small kiss on the cheek which unbeknownst to you, makes his stomach fill with butterflies too.
You bid goodbye to the rest of your friends, before stumbling out of the chateau and to your car.
JJ’s eyes follow your body until it is completely out of sight. When he finally sees your car pulling out of the driveway, he looks back to his friends only to find all of them staring at him. “What?”
“Just tell her you love her already,” Kiara says with a dramatic groan causing JJ’s eyes to widen.
John B nods. “Seriously, dude,” he says, “You gotta do it before she gets tired of waiting.”
“What are you guys talking about,” JJ asks innocently despite knowing exactly what his friends are talking about.
“The two of you are madly in love with each other so what are you doing wasting this time you could be spending together,” Sarah reasons.
JJ knows his friends are right, but he doesn't need them breathing down his neck when he does decide to tell you.
You, on the other hand, realized a few seconds into your drive that you forgot your phone. You had turned around and were now making your way back up the porch steps.
“I do not like (Y/N),” lies through his teeth, having no idea that you could hear him clearly through the mesh screen door. “She's just a spoiled, kook, brat that I happened to take pity on. She means nothing to me.”
Each word that passes from JJ’s lips is like a knife to your heart. Completely forgetting your phone, you don't waste any time running back to your car. Hot tears stream down your face at a steady rate as you attempt to get as far away as possible from the boy who broke your heart.
“Okay keep telling yourself that,” John B says to JJ with a small smirk on his lips.
JJ rolls his eyes, but on the inside, he is longing for your sweet lips to press to his cheek again. The dense blonde has no idea that the girl he loves with his whole heart, is currently broken because of him.
Over the next few days, you make every excuse in the book not to see the pogues, knowing that even being in the same room as JJ would be too much.
When Kiara brings by your phone from the Chateau, you immediately break down and tell her what you witnessed. The curly-haired girl wants to tell you the whole truth, but she figures it should come from the idiotic blonde himself.
After three days of not hearing from you, JJ’s worry starts to eat him alive. What if you were sick? Or sad? Or what if you finally realized you were too good for him?
Despite the drizzling rain, JJ takes his bike and makes his way to your house as quickly as he can.
When he knocks on your large oak door and your brother opens it, JJ is immediately brought back to the first day he came to your house. He remembers the pride he felt when you first stood up on that board.
“Hey, Sam. Is (Y/N) here?” he asks, peaking around your brother's shoulder as if you would be standing there like you were that one day.
“No,” Sam says harshly, immediately slamming the door shut in JJ’s face.
The blonde is left there in confusion wondering what is wrong. He knocks on the door again, louder this time.
Sam opens the door again. “What?” he snaps.
“I know she's here,” JJ explains seriously. “I can see her bedroom light from her window and she never leaves her light on.”
Your brother scowls at JJ’s words as if it's an abomination that he knows such an intimate fact about you.
“Leave, JJ,” Sam says, slightly calmer now. “She doesn't want to see you.” He shuts the door again, causing JJ’s heart to break slightly.
What does he mean you don't want to see him?
The blonde steps away from your front door and moves under your bedroom window. The rain is falling much harder now, causing JJ’s curls to plaster to his forehead.
He glances up at your window, suddenly having an idea. It takes him a few tries, but JJ is able to scale your house and make it to your small balcony.
He peers into your room, spotting you laying on your bed, with your back facing him. JJ knocks lightly on your window and you snap your head in his direction.
Your eyes widen when you see his sopping wet form and for a second you forget why you're laying alone in the first place. You rush to the window, undoing the hinges and pulling JJ inside.
Once the blonde is standing in front of you, his words from the other night come rushing back.
“What are you doing here, JJ,” you ask with a small sigh, wrapping your hoodie-clad arms around your stomach.
The blonde frowns. “You called me JJ.”
“That's your name isn't it?”
“Yeah, but yo-you never,” JJ stumbles over his words. “Are you okay? Why haven't you been answering my texts or calls?”
“I was busy,” you say with a shrug, sitting back onto your bed.
“You know you can talk to me, right,” JJ asks as he takes a small step closer to you. “I'll always be here for you.”
You roll your eyes. “Yeah, okay,” you mumble sarcastically.
JJ flinches back. “What's going on (Y/N)? You're not being yourself. You are always there for me and my problems, so you should know that I'll always be here for you and whatever it is you're going through,” he tells you honestly.
“Oh yeah because you took pity on me, right?” you snap, looking him dead in the eyes as a few tears fall down your cheeks. A look of confusion spreads across his features. “Because I'm a ‘spoiled, kook, brat’ right?”
JJ's heart drops to the pit of his stomach as he realizes what you are talking about. His eyes well with tears knowing why you've been hurting the past few days.
“(Y/N),” he all but whimpers. His hands reach out for you but you pull back.“Please, let me explain.”
You harshly wipe the tears from your cheeks. “I think you made yourself very clear the other day. Leave, JJ,” you tell him.
JJ shakes his head as panic builds in his chest. He struggles to breathe as he realizes that he is about to lose you before he even truly has you.
His breathing becomes more and more erratic and he squeezes his eyes shut.
“JJ,” you ask softly, noticing the arising panic attack. The blonde looks up at you, fear evident in his eyes. Despite the pain, he put you through, you still love him and can't stand to see him in pain. “C'mere JJ,” you say softly, pulling him to sit on your bed. You crouch down below him, shushing him softly.
“You gotta breathe with me,” you tell him, making sure he's watching as you take a few big breaths in. He is able to take a few shaky breaths and soon his heart rate has slowed to a somewhat normal rate, JJ collapses into your arms. “You're okay. It's gonna be okay.”
JJ frowns, pulling away from you slightly. “Why are you being so nice to me,” he asks shakily. “After everything I've done?”
You shrug, looking down.
He uses two of his fingers to gently lift your chin so you are looking at him. “Please let me explain,” he whispers and you nod slightly. “After you left that day, the pogues were messing with me, saying that I was so in love with you n ’shit, so I had to say something that would get them to shut up,” he says quickly, wanting to get through his story so you will stop hurting.
“Nothing I said that day was remotely close to the truth. You are the most kind-hearted person on this island, and for me to even say that you aren't, it's just, I'm so sorry,” he says. “I never meant to hurt you, but I couldn't have the pogues thinking I was in love with you.”
Your heart falls at his words. “Because that would be embarrassing, right?” you say, trying to hide the dejection you are feeling.
“No.” You look up at him in confusion. “Because I didn't want you to find out before I got the courage to tell you myself.”
“What?”
“I'm in love with you (Y/N),” he says with a small smile on his face. “I have completely fallen for you. Everything you do, everything you say, everything you are. You’re my first thought in the morning, you’re my last thought before I fall asleep, and you're almost every thought in between.”
The room goes silent and the only sound that can be heard is the rain softly hitting your window.
“Now is where you say something,” he says with an awkward chuckle.
You open your mouth to speak, but everything you want to say to the boy in front of you is stuck in your throat. “I-” you manage to sutter out.
JJ sighs. “It’s okay,” he says standing up, leaving you to fall limply against your bed. “I figured this would happen. You don’t have to say anything.”
When he moves towards your window, your body seems to catch up with your brain and you run to stop him. JJ turns around, but before he can get a word out, you press your lips to his.
You swear you see sparks fly behind your eyes the moment your lips meet his. The kiss starts softly at first and then builds with an intensity that has you gripping his shoulders for balance. This kicks the blonde into motion. He places one hand softly on your cheek and uses the other to tug your waist closer to him.
The intoxicating taste of weed and mint lulls you closer as your lips move together perfectly. Neither of you ever want to stop. Moving your right hand to lace your fingers in his hair, you tug slightly, causing him to let out a small groan. You smile into the kiss before reluctantly pulling yourself away.
“That was…” JJ trails off breathlessly.
“Yeah,” you agree with a chuckle. “Look, when I first met you, I never would have imagined that I would have such strong feelings for you. I never would have thought that I would miss being by your side, or get butterflies in my stomach when someone mentions your name. When I first met you, I never would’ve thought that I would love you the way I do.”
Tears brim JJ’s eyes as your words fill his heart. “So, you…”
“I love you, Maybank,” you say, not looking away from his eyes.
“Say it again,” he asks in a small voice, eyes wide like he can’t believe the words you are actually saying.
You smile wide. “I love you, so much.”
JJ pulls your body tight to his chest and buries his head into the crook of your neck. “I love you more than anything,” he mumbles into your neck. “I’m sorry it took me so long to say.”
You chuckle, lifting his head off your shoulder and cupping his cheeks with your hands. You place a few soft kisses to his pouty lips causing him to smile wide. “I forgive you, but only because you're cute,” you tell him.
He blushes slightly, leaning down to kiss both of your cheeks and then your lips. Both of you have big smiles on your face when you pull away. “How have I gone this long without kissing you,” JJ says causing you to giggle. He uses the pads of his thumbs to trace your cheekbones. “You’re so beautiful,” the blonde whispers, voice laced with sincerity.
You blush hard and nuzzle your face into his chest. After a second you look back up at him. “Stay the night?” you ask.
JJ nods. “Of course, my love.”
Smiling at the name you pull him towards your closet. “I thought you didn't give me nicknames,” you tease and he shrugs his shoulders.
“That was before,” he says with a smile.
You hum in response, handing him some of his clothes that either he had left at your house or you had stolen from the Chateau. Once he is changed out of his wet clothes, the two of you climb into your bed.
JJ instantly pulls you snug to his chest and you get comfortable and he presses a soft kiss to the crown of your head.
Both of you know that everything will change after today. Everything is different now, but for some reason, it feels normal to the two of you. It feels like this was how it was meant to be. Just you and JJ, together.
“I love you, (Y/N).”
“I love you too, Maybank.”

This might be my favorite fic I’ve written to date. PS: I have a taglist! Let me know if you’d like to be added for this story, all Weasley twins content, or for all Harry Potter content. Thanks loves!

August 15th.
Summer mornings always felt particularly comforting. However, the mornings spent on a beach vacation felt especially wonderful. Heading out onto the balcony, you smiled contently, taking a sip of the coffee you had just brewed. George, your husband, was inside still asleep. The night before had been quite tiring as you’d spent all day on the beach before returning to your hotel to play board games and drink. It was the annual vacation you, your husband, and his brother took. It provided days worth of laughter and a much longed for break from the daily grind of work. Occasionally, Fred would bring a lady friend along, but not this year.
You worked for the Ministry of Magic, using your academic skills to contribute toward the greater good of Wizarding society. Meanwhile, your doting husband and his brother worked tirelessly in their joke shop. They actually fared quiet well, despite never completing their classes at Hogwarts. George was able to spoil you to absolute bits. Your wedding had been charming, complete with a send off of blue butterflies before you entered the reception. Everything about your marriage to George was a fairytale.
You watched the waves lapping against the shore. The smell of sea salt and wet sand tickled your nostrils. You pulled your tan cardigan closer around your torso, noting that it was still chilly in the morning, despite it being August. The silence gave you time to reflect on the beauty of the past two years. It felt as though barely any time had passed since you kissed George at the altar, vowing your forever to him. You had developed a calm and comforting rhythm to your life together. It consisted of cozy mornings with your cold feet touching beneath blankets. Your nights would end with dinner together and then finding some sort of movie to watch. You never felt thrilled anymore, but in a way, that’s what you had always dreamed of.
Settling down comfortably in the deck chair, you opened up the novel you’d been reading. Just then, the deck door slid open and your husband walked out. His red hair was messy from sleep and his voice was still raspy, not yet fully adjusted to the morning. He bent to kiss you softly on the head.
“Morning, Mrs. Weasley,” he smiled, moving to lean against the balcony railing. He crossed his legs and took a sip from his coffee mug. His nickname for you always made you smile. You adored it, because you were still head over heels about the idea of being his wife. George was safe and strong. He loved you in the ways other men had failed to. His adoration was clear through bouquets of flowers that would show up on your work desk, lavish birthday presents, and the sweet nothings he whispered to you in bed. George was never pushy. He never spoke out of turn. In fact, you couldn’t even recall a time he had raised his voice at you. George was - as a husband - predictable.
“Mr. Weasley,” you chirped back, turning to the next page of your book. You two sat in silence for a while. George watched the waves crash into the shore, thinking to himself that this was bliss. Even if he wasn’t at the beach, he reasoned, it would be paradise because he was with you.
The sliding glass door opened again and Fred appeared. “Mornin!,” he announced, stretching.
Fred was quite the opposite of George in a number of ways. You knew of Fred’s romantic escapades, which often ended in him bedding girls in his flat. He sometimes had a short temper and still lived on the high of getting into bits of trouble - even as a grown man. His spirit was more untamed. Where George craved peace, Fred strived for adventure. You would be lying if you hadn’t sometimes thought about what Fred would be like as a lover. But then the guilt would hit you. He was your brother-in-law, for Merlin’s sake.
“How do you have this much energy in the morning?,” George chuckled, watching as Fred sat down in the other armchair.
“I just like the beach,” he shrugged, looking over at you. Placing your book onto your lap, you glanced over at Fred. His brown eyes twinkled back at you affectionately. You and Fred had always been close, even before you started dating George. It was Fred that you had befriended first at Hogwarts. But of course, where one Weasley was, there was the other. Fred was thrilled when you began to date George. He thought you were - as he put it - ‘a total fucking catch, George’. Fred had even helped George pick out your engagement ring. He was over the moon to have you as a permanent part of his life - for you to finally and officially be a Weasley.
You looked out at the beach, eager to get some sun and finish your book.
“Then, let’s go.”
_______________________________
George had made the choice to stay at the beach house, wanting to hit the golf course. He had begged Fred to join him, but his twin was craving some time in the sun and surf, so he declined. George grumbled a bit as he packed up his golf bag. He tried until the very last minute to get Fred to come play at least a round but it was to no avail.
You were lying on your back, trying your hardest to catch some color. The normally dreary days at home wouldn’t provide the tan you wanted. Fred was walking back up to your umbrella. He had gone down into the water for a while. You realized then that you probably should reapply your sunscreen, but couldn’t reach yourself.
“Hey, Freddie, can you get my back?” You had thought nothing of it. Fred had obliged, picking up the tiny bottle next to you.
Fred knelt down in the sand, sitting back onto his heels to keep from tipping other. He squirted a bit of the sunscreen into his palm, rubbing it together quickly to warm it up. You had to press your tongue to the roof of your mouth to keep from gasping as you felt his calloused hands hit your bare back. He was being painfully slow, moving to massage the sunblock into your shoulders. The man’s concentration seemed to have drifted from assuring you didn’t get burnt to making you feel good. Fred kneaded a bit and that time you couldn’t resist, letting a tiny gasp escape your lips. It was painfully obvious that you had been wound up tight due to work and it felt incredible to feel your muscles loosen up.
Fred’s fingers danced beneath the strap of your bathing suit and you felt your heart rate quicken. He took a moment to run his finger across the thin, damp strap. You swore you heard his breath stop for a moment. You shook it off, assuring yourself it was you who was making this into something it wasn’t. Just then, he slid his hands down to the center of your spine before getting dangerously close to the elastic of your bikini bottoms. Neither of you were speaking, and for some reason, you felt a familiar feeling between your thighs. Shit, shit, shit, you thought. Thankfully your head was laying in your arms, face down, or else Fred would no doubt see you blushing.
“Okay that’s good, Fred, thanks,” you said quickly, moving so his hands were no longer on you. You couldn’t tell if the sun had reached its brightest point or if you were sweating because of your brother-in-law. But either way, you rolled back over to stand up, leaving Fred confused as you headed out toward the water to distract yourself.
•·················•·················• •·················•·················•
October 31st.
George was standing up front at the cash register of Weasley Wizard Wheezes, counting the nightly deposit. Halloween was always a particularly busy day as both old and young wizards alike grabbed their last minute bits of mischief.
You were sitting in the back room, giving Fred your opinion on his Halloween costume. Each year, the Weasley twins put on the best Halloween party, complete with costumes, outlandish decorations, and overflowing fire whiskey and butterbeer. Getting an invite to the Weasley Halloween Bash was something highly sought after. Therefore, the twins always made sure their costumes were up to snuff. Fred was close to you, showing off his ensemble for that night. A black velvet cape was draped over his shoulders, complete with a white button up shirt and black pants.
“What is it you’re supposed to be?” You cackled, adjusting the middle button on his shirt, which he had overlooked. Fred swallowed hard as your hands touched his abdomen. You noticed how as you laughed, your eyes locked on one another. You diverted your eyes quickly, cursing the butterflies that were some reason threatening to burst in your belly. The redhead stepped back a little, doing a little twirl so that his cape swooshed.
“A vampire!,” he sounded exasperated, using his hands to gesture to himself. You cocked your head to the side, figuring he just didn’t have the makeup or fangs on yet. It was decided in your mind that once that was all done, the costume would look much better.
“It looks great, Freddie,” you finally conceded and he grinned.
“I’m going to vuck your vlood,” Fred joked, wiggling his fingers as he leapt closer to you. You shrieked, jumping back as he attempted to begin tickling you. Once you had both stopped giggling, Fred began to speak again.
“What are you and George going as?”
“Pirates,” you said excitedly, clapping your hands together. Fred rolled his eyes.
“I know you picked that out.” “I always pick. George is horrible at decision making, and if I’m being honest, his ideas are sometimes quite stupid.”
The bells on the back door jingled as George entered. “Oy, we getter get going if we want to set up for tonight,” he said to you, coming over to wrap his arms around your waist. A smile graced your lips as he planted a loving kiss on your cheek. He smelled like warm cinnamon - the perfect addition to fall.
_______________________
You descended down the stairs, your heels clicking with each step. Fred was at the bottom of the stairs, busying himself with filling a tray up with some sort of side dish. He heard you coming and turned, his jaw going slack.
You were wearing black fishnets complete with thigh high leather boots. Your dress was candy apple red with a tight black corset. It left little to the imagination as it showed off the perfect teasing amount of cleavage and sat just below your bum. The look was complete by a black pirate’s hat and flawless makeup, which you were certain to spend at least an hour on. You had taken the time to curl your h/c hair as well, which lay perfectly on your shoulders.
“Aye, aye, captain,” George gawked, coming around the corner. His costume was a little less detailed, but none the less fitting to match yours. You giggled as he swept you up in his arms, giving you a few kisses on your face. “Please make me walk to plank tonight,” he whispered in your ear, giving your lobe a little nibble. You giggled, pushing him off a bit. “Now, now, sailor. We have company,” you gestured to Fred, who appeared to be blushing redder than your dress. You ignored it, pushing back any thoughts that began to stir in your mind. You had hoped, somewhere deep down inside of you, that Fred was just as taken by your look as George was.
Fred had doctored up his costume quite a bit, adding eyeliner smudged around his eyes, a bit of face powder, and some fake blood below his lip. He had gelled his hair to look more Victorian, too, which gave the perfect finishing touch. “You look awesome, Fred,” you remarked, giving him a pat on this shoulder. You began to help finish the snack table. The tension could be cut with a knife, you noted. There was something different between you and Fred ever since the beach. A lust hung in the air whenever you two were in close proximity. It was enough to strangle you, and the worst part was, you were convinced it was all in your head. It was bloody wrong, too, you had told yourself.
_________________________
The night went off without a hitch. Ron and Hermione had shown up, dressed adorably as a cop and a robber. Ginny and Harry had come, too, of course, wearing their most ghoulish ghost bride and groom attire. Even Draco Malfoy and his wife Astoria made an appearance. Dozens of other witches and wizards had passed through the night, sharing in the imbibing and laughter of the evening. By midnight, the party had thinned out. For those in attendance with children, trick or treating was over now, which meant it was time to return home.
You had had quite a few shots of fire whisky, which had now left you sleepily sitting on the couch. George had gone up to bed due to the fact that the shop would still be open in the morning and it was his turn for the morning shift. You yawned, stretching out to lie down. Fred was still over and he sat down, pulling your boots to sit on his lap. This closeness normally would be nothing but platonic, but tonight the tension began to rise again. Maybe it was the alcohol, but you suddenly felt a wicked dizziness in your head. Your heart felt like it had risen into the bottom of your throat when Fred began to talk.
“You know, y/n, I’ve always thought you were very, very....gorgeous. Even when those stupid, snotty Slytherins would pick on you in school. Too beautiful for me, but perfect for George,” Fred was mindlessly watching a horror movie you’d put on the television. His words were slurred. “And tonight, I mean talk about a smoke show.”
“Thanks, Freddie,” you smiled, thankful for the compliment.
“Do you ever wonder...what if it would have been us?”
The question caught you off guard and you sighed a little, looking up at the ceiling. “Sometimes,” you had never admitted it out loud. But it was often that you did wonder - what if you had fallen in love with Fred instead of George?
“My feet hurt,” you allowed the words to tumble from your mouth. You were never one for a filter when drinking, either. It was just one more thing you and Fred had in common.
“Lemme help,” Fred whispered, reaching over to unzip your leather shoes from the top of your thigh to the ankle. He pulled each of them off, and then looked up at you. He placed on hand at your ankle and ran his hand up to your thigh, feeling the fabric of your fishnet stockings. Again, he ran his hand down your leg. He cleared his throat, clearing coming unglued by the feeling of your smooth legs and the course, patterned fabric of your fishnets dancing beneath his hand. Instinctively, you allowed your legs to open, tempting Fred to move his hand up further. But just as he moved his hand toward the inner part of your thigh, you swung your legs around and sat up.
You bent over quickly, grabbing your shoes and standing up. “You should go, Fred,” your throat felt dry. Nothing happened, you told yourself. You’re overreacting. He was just helping you take your boots off.
“Right, it’s late,” Fred said awkwardly, standing up and grabbing his keys off the coffee table. He didn’t drive, luckily, because it was apparent the he had also had a few too many beers.

BIG MAX is introducing two new golf bag designs to its 2020 line - the Dri Lite Hybrid and Dri Lite Sport. Combining BIG MAX’s water resistant Dri Lite technology with unique practical innovations these bags showcase the reasons that BIG MAX is at the top of European golf’s most wanted list.
BIG MAX DRI LITE technology delivers a water resistant golf bag that features 100% waterproof fabric, specially designed waterproof zippers and a 2.000mm* waterproof rating. With this level of protection, most brands would call Dri Lite waterproof, but with the time and expertise BIG MAX invests in its 100% waterproof Aqua line, the brand is happy to call Dri Lite water resistant, knowing it will keep all but the very wettest days at bay.
The Dri Lite Hybrid is a faultless water-resistant stand bag with unique innovations that allow it to sit perfectly on a cart. Featuring a trolley compatible footless flat base and leg lock system the Hybrid sits perfectly square and secure on a cart or push cart while a neat cut out section in the base adds further stability when combined with a BIG MAX push cart. At the top of the bag the leg mechanism is located lower down the bag, meaning that the reinforced bag connection area makes contact with the cart rather than the legs. This eliminates twisting and provides a perfectly snug fit on the upper bag brackets. With 7 spacious waterproof pockets, 14 way full length dividers and a host of neat features, the Hybrid has all the function of the best cart bags. But take the hybrid out on its own and it transforms to a stylish lightweight stand bag. The footless stand mechanism works exactly like any other stand bag while the air channel straps allow for breathability and comfort. At just 4.4 lbs the Hybrid is a breeze to carry and keeps all your gear completely dry, however you choose to get it round the course. The Dri Lite Sport is a stylish, colorful, ultra-light Cart bag that combines a host of practical features with the protection of BIG MAX’s water resistant Dri Lite technology. A 14 way 9.5” organizer top with oversize putter well combines with 9 waterproof pockets, including an oversize cooler pocket, to provide all the space and storage that even the best equipped golfer could need. Neat features such as easy access Velcro glove holder, towel holder, umbrella holder and robust carry handles add to the practical benefits while the ultra light weight of just 4.85 lbs make the Dri Lite Sport simple to transfer from car to cart. *Hydrostatic testing of waterproof fabric gives a mm per 24 hours rating. This refers to the amount of rainfall a fabric can withstand in a single day. Thus, a 2,000mm waterproof rating means the garment can withstand 2,000mm of rainfall in a single day without letting moisture in.
Dri Lite Hybrid MSRP: $229.99 Available in Black, Charcoal/Black/Red, Silver/Black/Red, White/Black/Orange, White/Navy/Red Dri Lite Sport MSRP: $249.99 Available in Black, Grey/Black, Navy/Silver/Red For more information on the BIG MAX line visit www.us.bigmaxgolf.com or follow socially:

Marichat Drabbles: Fluffvember 2019 2/30
I know Fluffvember is over BUT IM STILL COMMITTING TO WRITING MARICHAT FLUFFVEMBER EVEN IF IT KILLS ME
Prompt 19: “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”/ “I’m so glad I met you.”
Fandom: Miraculous Ladybug
Pairing: Marichat, Chat Noir/Marinette
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings/Tags: No Archive Warnings Apply
https://archiveofourown.org/works/21602170/chapters/53761939 (marichat... nice 👌) part 1 is here >> https://irisandlily.tumblr.com/post/189365279345/marichat-drabbles-fluffvember-2019-130
To say Ladybug was a little annoyed at an Akuma happening at 12 am was an understatement.
“Nice of you to drop in Ladybug.” Chat Noir greeted her, looking mildly irritated as he stared at the akumatized villain. Ladybug did her best to push the confession to the back of her mind so she could focus on the villain at hand. Thankfully as Ladybug she had the mask, which helped her stay (somewhat) in professional mode.
“It’s 12 am, doesn't Hawkmoth ever sleep?”
“He’s probably a shut-in with too much time on his hands.”
“Let’s end this quickly then.”
…
Thirty minutes passed and they were no closer to defeating the Akumatized villain who had been dubbed the Golfer (because… that was exactly what he was) was hitting exploding golf balls at them. Chat Noir hadn’t used his Cataclysm since it would have caused more damage than necessary.
They had been able to contain the exploding golf balls to the cathedral area and not any civilian homes, but dammit if she had to tackle Alya out of the way one more time.
What was her best friend doing out at this time anyway?! At least the other Parisians that were out at this hour had the decency and smart thinking to stay a safe distance away from the fighting as they recorded videos and/or took pictures. Honestly, what was Alya thinking?!
She summoned her Lucky Charm, and a red and black polka-dotted umbrella landed in her hands. She was struggling to figure out how the umbrella could help, as she was beginning to get dangerously close to transforming back to Marinette, and running on four hours of sleep her brain just wasn’t working properly.
“Any plan yet?” Chat Noir asked as she hid behind a tree.
“I’m working on it.” she peeked her head out and ducked back as a golf ball came flying towards her. Chat Noir jumped in the way, swinging his baton like a bat, hitting the golf ball into the air as it exploded.
That’s when it struck her.
“Chat you’re a genius!”
“I try to be.”
“Can you draw his attention away from me?” with a nod of his head, he led the attacks away from her. She readied the umbrella in her hands.
It was time for a direct approach.
“Hey!” the Golfer turned around just in time to see Ladybug running at him, umbrella in hand, swinging it to hit him right on the head with full force, effortlessly knocking out the Golfer.
Perhaps it had to do with the stress from school and being class president, or how heavy the duties and expectations of being a fulltime superhero weighed on her shoulders. Perhaps it was the lack of sleep. Or the fact that Chat Noir had been about to confess his feelings for Marinette but had been interrupted by an akuma (the fifth one this week) that she decided to just get straight to the point and beat up the akumatized man with an umbrella.
She picked up the golf club and broke it in half on her knee, the little Akuma flying out. She grabbed it with her yo-yo and purified it.
“Miraculous Ladybug!” she threw the umbrella into the air and the damage was fixed.
“Nice hit L.B.” he grinned, holding his fist out. She returned his smile, a bit more tired, as they fist-bumped with their usual phrase.
“Ladybug! Chat Noir!” Alya ran over to them, and that’s when Ladybug noticed the girl was still in her pajamas. “Can I get a quick interview for the Ladyblog?” Ladybug was about to point out it was one in the morning when her earrings started beeping.
“Chat, can you make sure Alya here gets home safely?” she aimed her yo-yo at a nearby rooftop.
“Will do L.B.”
“And maybe Chat Noir can give you an interview.” she grinned, “Bug out!”
Marinette raced home as fast as she could, lungs heaving as she crashed through the trap door and onto the bed just as her transformation dropped.
She really hoped the noise didn’t wake her parents.
“Okay. I have maybe ten minutes until Chat gets here to process everything,” she muttered, mainly to herself. “Since Alya stopped him for a quick interview… and since Ladybug forced him to take her home…” she grabbed her pillow and screamed into it, the screams muffled.
“Marinette?”
“Tikki what do I do?! He confessed to me!”
“I thought you’d be happy about that?” Marinette sat cross-legged on the bed, hugging her pillow as Tikki sat before her. “You like Chat Noir don’t you?”
“Yes but- there are complications!”
“Do you mean Adrien?” she… actually hadn’t thought about Adrien being one of the many complications that were running through her brain.
“I-... I don’t know Tikki.” she groaned into her pillow, “I-I do still like Adrien but Chat Noir-...” Adrien was friendly and had an incredibly kind heart, albeit shy and reserved sometimes. Understanding and gentle.
Chat Noir was a bit different. He was cocky and a showoff, and he was a flirt. He cracked terrible puns and jokes and was reckless. But he was also incredibly brave and kind.
Chat Noir was her best friend and partner, someone she trusted with her life.
“Why is love so complicated Tikki?”
“Because love is a wonderful thing.” the kwami put a hand on her cheek, “You’re an amazing person Marinette. Whatever your choice, whoever you choose, everything will be fine between you two.”
“I’m so lucky to have you Tikki.” she kissed the kwami with a smile. “Thank you.” she climbed down from her bed and went over to her desk, grabbing her jar of cookies and handing one to Tikki, the kwami munching on it immediately.
A knock sounded from her trapdoor, and Tikki devoured the cookie in one gulp before hiding away.
Be cool Marinette. She told herself as she climbed back onto her bed. He’s only just confessing to you after fifty times…
But those had been to Ladybug. This one was to Marinette.
“Chat Noir.”
“Sorry I took so long. I was doing a short interview for the Ladyblog.” he smiled, holding a hand out to her, helping her up onto her balcony. “I didn’t get to finish what I was saying earlier.” Marinette noticed his hands were shaking,
“Breathe Chat.” he tensed as she placed a hand against his cheek, but soon relaxed, leaning into her hand.
“Marinette- You’re one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met,” he told her, reaching behind himself and holding out a red rose to her. She took it delicately, admiring the flower before she looked back to him. “I love you.” despite knowing what he was going to say, Marinette still blushed, her cheeks furiously red.
“I- I love you too Chat,” she admitted after a moment, letting the words sink in. The words felt right, and Chat Noir’s fixed stare, his eyes wide but sparkling as his once anxious expression turned into one of joy.
“You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear you say that.” he kissed her forehead before letting his head fall to her shoulder as he pulled her into a hug. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
“What about becoming a superhero?” she joked.
“Second best thing.” he grinned, lifting his head to look at her, his expression full of love, brimming with happiness. “I’m so glad I met you Marinette.”
“Me too Chat.”

EDM Genres Explained
EDM-electronic dance music-is tremendous en vogue for the time being, with artists like Daft Punk and Deadmau5 bringing it out of the shadows and into the pop circulate, nevertheless it's not even remotely new. Stevie Surprise emerged within the early 1960s as a precocious youngster star with one of the crucial infectious live hits ever recorded, "Fingertips - Pt. 2." By means of the remainder of the last decade and the early 1970s, he matured as an artist until he took full creative management as singer, musician, audio-transcoder.com producer, and songwriter. His music ranged throughout kinds but often remained rooted in extremely rhythmic textures. The songs are noted for his or her optimistic outlook even when dealing with troublesome social issues. Many many years later, Stevie Surprise continues to record for his unique label, Motown. Classical music continues to be one of the most well-liked music genres ever. It is completely different than anything else and it's extra than simply beneficial to hear. Just loosen up in the most effective massage chairs , activate the music and loosen up. Before everything, this music is at all times produced by some of the biggest and the most effective musicians ever known. Mozart, Beethoven, and actually many others have formed the classical music in line with their beliefs. Now, we are able to simply get pleasure from that actually forever. And yes, this music can also be identified for growing the IQ. A seemingly conservative maneuver that turned out to be leading edge. In a world of home and techno driven by dance-flooring whims — particularly in rave-addled England — Warp Data have been driven by the underside line once they decided to market a "dwelling listening" model of digital music: Snug, older, center-class types liable to purchase an living room document were a more reliable viewers for edwardarden6.hatenablog.com CD gross sales than trend-chasing kids. However Artificial Intelligence served as a helpful gathering level for a few of digital music's most experimental minds — Aphex Twin, Autechre, Richie Hawtin, Alex Paterson from the Orb — a brainy train that spawned what we now know as "intelligent dance music." While AI anticipated the explosive markets for genres like downtempo and trip-hop; the blipping, sputtering, ambient worlds of IDM musicians would influence everyone from Radiohead and Björk to Skrillex and Deadmau5. Lari White , Daryle Singletary and Accomplice Railroad founding member Doug Secrest are among the many nation musicians who've died in 2018. White died after battling cancer , and Secret additionally struggled with a protracted illness earlier than his dying, whereas Singletary's demise on the age of forty six shocked Nashville's music community. Red Dirt nation artist Brandon Jenkins was additionally tragically young when he died in March after experiencing complications following coronary heart surgical procedure he underwent in February. He was just forty eight years old. Electronic dance music is a popular music meant for dance in golf equipment. The music has repetitive beat and synthesized backtrack. Since the starting of music, many people have been listening to numerous kinds of them. The varieties are resulting from traditions, hustle, musical instruments, pitch loudness and different parameters. Totally different music types have their intervals by means of which they flourish and grow to be most outstanding. Initially, style affected just one or few societies or nations, but right this moment music and trend are widespread internationally. Here are the several types of EDM. With the iTunes Retailer, you may get all of the music you need — and the music you didn't know you wanted.1 You may discover greater than 50 million high-high quality, DRM-free songs on iTunes for simply 69¢, ninety nine¢, or $1.29 each.2 And it's all only a click on away. Listen to a ninety-second preview of choose songs before you buy. Complete My Album makes it attainable to purchase a couple of songs to try an album out, then get the rest for the unique album value minus what you've already spent. Buy on any machine, and your songs are immediately accessible in your music library. Secondly, the bottom-up technique is quite theoretical in terms of music genres. At one point or one other one will always rely on high-all the way down to test the comprehensiveness: are all forms of Jazz included? What number of genres in Techno are there? Mainly because literature that covers all popular music without delay could be very, very scarce. Academic literature comes largely in the form of specialization into one or a couple of tremendous-genres, thus favoring the top-down method.
You might discover those that want to purchase your music after you've got spent cash on social media promoting but you will by no means grow to be famous. What these gross sales quantity to is probably just a few thousand dollars a yr. Usually you will be making lower than someone making minimum wage that works at a 7-eleven retailer. In case you are utterly honest with yourself, most individuals don't get into this enterprise to become profitable in the beginning. They need that FAME. That fame will ultimately get the ball rolling and bring within the cash later like within the case of Metallica. From Jamaica ska made its technique to Europe, primarily the UK and was modified slightly to one thing more generally called " two tone ska" the 2-tone ska motion was named for the overwhelming unity between blacks and whites inside the scene on the time. The music bought fairly sooner and more poppy. Various the bands incorporated horns less usually, or used very simple melodies for the horns. Ska was hottest among the many pre-racist skinheads, mods, and rudies (impolite boy) sub cultures Although for such a huge explosion the fad died out throughout the better a part of five years. The umbrella time period 'rock' is used to describe a large variety of musical types. The origins of this stupendously common fashion lie in a fusion of two different common genres - Blues and Country, together with significant parts of jazz. Together with the influences from the two types, rock and roll was typified by extensive use of the snare drum. The 'rock and roll' motion of the mid-Fifties revolutionized the music scene within the West, with the proponents of this modern and flamboyant fashion shaping the trends in racism, style and way of life. Rock and roll - particularly Glam Rock - artists' garish costumes were famous, and within the racially infected 1950s, rock and roll provided an avenue for the appreciation of common music without segregation. The success of the Rock and Roll motion is personified in the eternal fame of 'the King', Elvis.

Image description: A screenshot of a tweet by Neil Gaiman (@neilhimself) announcing the arrival of a second season of Good Omens, with a publicity shot.
Transcript and detailed description follows: "What glorious (and dangerous) trouble will our favorite angel and demon find themselves in this time? [smiling halo emoji] [purple scowl-smirking horned emoji] Good news! #GoodOmens is returning for Season 2 on @PrimeVideo." Below this is a publicity shot in the manner of either a photorealistic drawing or a slightly altered photo of Crowley and Aziraphale on a rain-lashed Soho London nighttime street.
At the top of the image is the Good Omens logo (weathered, metallic lettering spelling out the show name and reflecting patches of fire from somewhere - the first "o" has a halo above it, the M curves into a pointed tail), with a numeral 2 dangling from the tail of the M. Below this is a rainy, night-time scene of a Soho street. Despite the slanting rain catching the artificial light, you can see a multi-coloured, star-spangled cosmos beyond the tall, darkened buildings. Some of the building windows are lit, others dark. There's a red-and-gold glow high on the left-hand side of the street, and a green-and-yellow glow high on the right-hand side of the street. On the nearest corner on the right we see the burgundy door and awning of Aziraphale's shop, golden light cosy beyond the closed doors, "A.Z. Fell & Co." picked out in gold on the awning, stone pillars either side of the door catching the golden light and water pools in front of it.
In the centre of the image stand the two main protagonists, their backs to us. Parked a little way out from the pavement and to Crowley's left we see a black, antique Bentley with its headlights on full beam. Crowley has his red hair down to his shoulders, wearing a dark blue or charcoal jacket and very tight, dark blue or charcoal trousers, his right leg canted as though stepping onto the pavement. Slightly behind him, closer to the viewer, is Aziraphale, his head tilted to the left, toward Crowley. He is wearing his cream-coloured frock coat and his left arm is raised, crooked at the elbow, to hoist a beige-and-red tartan golf umbrella above his and Crowley's heads.
Between Crowley's legs we catch the street reflecting what looks like flames. Superimposed over their upper thighs are the words "prime video" in white with the curving arrow of the Amazon logo, which gives something of the impression of a demonic tail coming from Crowley and pointing to Aziraphael, but that may just be me going ham with symbolism...
