Bruce Willis Diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia, Family Says

Actor Bruce Willis, known for his iconic roles in movies like the "Die Hard" franchise and "Pulp Fiction," has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, according to a statement released by his family on The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration website on Thursday. This comes nearly a year after the star retired from acting due to aphasia, which had been hampering his cognitive abilities. According to the statement, Willis' condition has progressed since his diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, and the family now has a more specific diagnosis of FTD. The disease is characterized by progressive nerve cell loss in the brain's frontal lobes or its temporal lobes, and challenges with communication are just one of the many symptoms that come with the disease. "Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis," the family said in the statement, which was accompanied by a photo of Willis at the beach. FYI, never underestimate the size of the Beverly Hilton. Both Lisa and I were driven in a media bus to the Hilton. We found our way through the maze of rooms to discover the editing room and then I located the step and repeat. I e been in all of these rooms at one time or another but things were arranged in a way to make it all a little confusing. I saw the outside area the BAFT Tea be located in on Saturday. I knew where the Golden Globes were held but it was pointless to try to go in that direction. Like any production there’s a lot of hurry up and wait. Once settled and set up Lisa and decided it was time for lite bites and beverages. I will never grow tired of the Tiffany Network’s and the Golden Globes’ interruption of lite bites. It was all wholesome good quality eats to sustain us through the long hours of work before and we dined in style. Take t would arrive after 6pm to all the glory and mayhem an awards red carpet can provide. I happen to be with the best photographers in LA. The photographers called to talent and didn���t yell and everyone knew how declassé and vulgar to stand in front of other professionals when the shots were so easily acquired and sympathetic artist on the other side. It was openly shared that everyone was pleased the barbarians were not the to screw things up.
