hi uh I was wondering if you could maybe write an Indian reader x Bakugou? Indian weddings are a lot different than American ones, and I just think it would be really cute to see him get along with relatives of a different culture maybe, like him in Indian clothes, eating Indian food ( I know he likes spicy food so that’s up his alley) and maybe even learning a certain language too. I speak Tamil, but the majority of India speaks Hindi so that would be cool too :D
[ Sounds good. I hope I did your request justice my dear, Queen Piranhadon. ]
Tumblr media
It was an honor to meet Katsuki Bakugou, otherwise known as "Ground Zero", during your family's brief stay in Japan. The intricately woven designs embedded in the fabric of your vibrant and colorful outfit immediately caught his attention. "Tch and just what the hell are you supposed to be?" He demanded, not realizing the cultural difference between the two of you.
When you tell Katsuki about your culture, traditions, and home life, he wears a scowl the whole time. Yet, he does acknowledge that participation in the celebrations you mentioned would be interesting if only to boost his ratings.
"Eh? What's the matter?! What's with those damn looks!?" Your family initially feels intimidated by him, which is understandable given his personality. Even so, they are friendly and compliment him for his strong-willed nature.
Food wasn't necessarily one of his guilty pleasures, and he usually didn't compliment anyone, but the flavor combination of Indian food and spices like cumin, turmeric, and red chili powder had his tongue dancing. Yes, he enjoyed spicy food and began visiting your family frequently for more delicious home-cooked meals.
"What the hell kind of language is this!?" he snapped, quickly growing frustrated as you tried to teach him some basic phrases in Hindi. Despite his frustration, he enjoyed learning new things because he had the heart of an academic student beneath his tough exterior.
Despite your cultural differences, Katsuki was protective of you whenever you faced discrimination or prejudice because of your background and made sure to shut whoever up quickly. Usually, this was done with his fists.
"Don't laugh, dumbass!" He demanded. It never occurred to him that your family would make him a traditional outfit from your culture. You were delighted to see him dressed in a maroon kurta, a vibrant nehru jacket over the kurta, white churidar pants, and golden jutti shoes.
While he wasn't known for his humor, he appreciated that the two of you could joke about your cultural differences, such as how greetings in Indian culture usually mean a hug or a firm handshake, while greetings in Japanese culture usually refrained from touching each other.
"Oh, don't act so damn surprised dumbass..." Although he knew you'd have to return to your own life, he didn't want to leave your side. So instead, he surprised you on the day of your departure and informed you that he was also going to your home country, and there was no room for arguments.

It’s true love indeed

Day 6 of @smileformeweek : Again
[ ID: Traditional fanart colored digitally. It is of the game Smile For Me and involves the wedding ceremony of Trencil Varnnia and Jimothan Botch. It is of my AU Roseverse.
Jimothan and Trencil are getting married. In my interpretation they are both Indian, Jim is from the South and Trencils from the North. They are doing the Varmala ceremony. The garlands are made of colors of red, green and white flowers.
Jimothan is wearing his traditional dress, that is, a yellowish-white shirt and dhoti with gold trim, along with a shawl with gold trim draped on his left side. He also has a golden chain. On in his head is the tripundram mark. Footwear is dark sandals with toe rings. Jimothan has many healed scars, burns and bite marks from raising a difficult baby such as his son, Parsley. His dusty brown hair is streaked with lighter colors as a sign of aging.
Trencil is wearing his traditional dress, that is, a red turban decorated with beads and pearls, and a peacock feather to top it off, he wears a dark blue sherwani with pink floral patterns on it plus a dark green shawl covering most of his right side with yellow, pink, blue floral and teal-leaved patterns. He wears red dhoti pants with rose-pink jutti shoes that have purple floral patterns. On his face, he wears gold eyeshadow with glitter near his eyes. He has some of women's elements in his jewellery, like the gold and white maang tikka, with a gemmed flower shape as centerpiece. He also wears a nath and earrings with gold, white, red, pink- with floral motifs. On his hands is floral dark-red henna. In appearance, Trencil looks more old and wrinkled, with red eyes and claws as nails. His ears are also very long and droopy like a bat's. His hair is naturally black as can be seen at the ends but rest of it is dyed dark blonde.
Jimothan and Trencil looks at each other lovingly with smiles. Jim reaches a hand out to put the garland on Trencil while Trencil holds his arm. With their other hand they both hold up a brightly colored umbrella decorated with gold strips at its point, and mirror pieces through the body. Flowers and grass, with small white balls hedge the bottom, from them hangs arrangements of roses and white flowers strung together. The interior of the umbrella is a light pink, covering Jim and Trencil.
From either side, two hands throw pastel flower petals on the newlyweds. The text below reads , first in Tamil, red, " Botch " then black " weds" in English, then dark green "Varnnia" in Hindi. So it is " Botch weds Varnnia". The background is a gradient of, from top to bottom, light yellow, green, blue, pink. The whole picture has a warmer, orange tone to it.end ID]
//
They're getting married...again!!!!
Trencils wife is probably dead? And Jimothan is divorced from his. So yeah this is both of their second marriage.
Here's the rough sketch I did beforehand of both their full outfits if anyone wants to see, some things changed in the final product
Tumblr media
[ ID: Pencil sketch showing Jimothan and Trencil standing, forward facing in the clothes I've described above, with few changes. End ID]
Man... do you think Trencil, hid Jimothans name in his henna🤭
Oh! In case you didn't read the image description-- they're both Indian in my headcanon. GOOOO!!!
Honestly if you're confused about some details reading the image description will help.
I think this is legitimately one of my BEST drawings of 2024, holy shit, also THEME SONG

HC’s on a pool day with jutty Taylor
He would look at you weird for putting on “so much sunscreen”.
It would be a pretty sunny day, and if you forgot your sunglasses he would let you wear his.
Getting in from the stairs? Nah there’s a canon ball jump in style for a reason, it’s also right in your face.
No he does not pee in the pool you hideous monster
Overdramatic about EVERYTHING
Would probably spin in a circle for like 30 minutes
After he’s had his beauty play, he would get some beauty rest in a lounge chair and probably get the most golden tan ever without trying
That’s it for now, lemme know if you want more or if you liked it! ☺️💗

A love in excess
“Suck in your stomach. Make it flat and small. Pull the fabric around your midsection--don’t let them see your stomach. Use a drape to cover the rolls spilling from your sides. Keep your back straight, even if it hurts. Take small sips from the water cup. Tell them you’re on a diet. They will smile. They will love you.”
It’s the season of belly-baring sarees, red and yellow bangles and henna tattoos. Music blares at me from all directions, “I wear the crystal bangles this Teej,” croons the songstress of the latest Teej hit to her cohort of admiring women. Decked in a bright red saree, more gold than skin, she has no spillage. So she is loved.
There are invites on the kitchen countertops, on top of mother’s vanity table, tucked between unopened bills, there is one that came in just this morning. I count one, two, three and on and on till I reach a number I cannot quite comprehend. There are more invites this year. I get to attend them all, I get to suffer through them all.
I feel a prickle down my belly, I feel an itch on my skin, I’d scratch at it if not for my nails bitten down to stubs
Who is attending, I ask my mother. Is she coming, I ask. Yes she is, mother replies. You told me she wouldn’t. And her? She is coming too. Mother lists the attendees, my heart sinks at every name. Why that look on your face, she quizzes disapprovingly. You are supposed to love your aunts, they love you so much. Perhaps that is the issue here.
Mother lays out one of her sarees for me to wear. It is a pretty thing---emerald green with golden vines snaking around the borders. It will pair well with the golden studs. It will look good with the juttis Bheema aunty got from Siliguri. I feel a pang of guilt. I did not want her there.
No more avoiding it, you have to do this. I finally look at the blouse: the velvet of the fabric shimmers in silvers, beads of gold curve around the neckline, a tiny bell hangs from the end of the string to knot on the back. It is stunning. The tailors outdid themselves. It would have looked great on the singer from the TV. On me they will find a hundred different ways to fault it. For the second time, guilt hits me. Soon dread replaces it. It will be nothing you haven’t heard before. It’s longer this year at least, but still stops short where hiding my secrets will require much pulling and pinching.
If I could suck in all the air into my lungs, if I could squeeze the bigness out of me, I would. I have tried. If I could shrink into smallness. For their love I would.

“Style Traditional Outfits Like a Pro: Great Tips & Trends”.
Traditional outfits carry a unique charm, blending elegance and cultural heritage. Styling them with a modern twist can elevate your look, making you appear effortlessly stylish while celebrating tradition. In this blog, we’ll dive into tips and tricks for styling traditional outfits like a pro, whether it’s for a wedding, festival, or a special occasion.
1. Choose the Right Outfit for the Occasion
Handmade Kodi Bead Jewellery Traditional outfits Like a Pro
One of the key aspects of styling traditional outfits is to choose attire that aligns with the occasion.
Weddings and Festivities: Opt for luxurious fabrics like silk, brocade, and velvet. Sarees, lehengas, and Anarkali suits are perfect for formal events.
Casual Gatherings: Light fabrics like cotton or chiffon work well for small gatherings or semi-formal events. You can go for a simple kurta or a printed saree with minimal embellishments.
Choosing the right outfit sets the tone for your look and ensures you’re both comfortable and stylish.
2. Mix Traditional with Contemporary Elements

Combining traditional attire with modern pieces can create a unique, stylish look.
Statement Belts: Cinch your saree or lehenga with a statement belt for a contemporary edge that also accentuates your waist.
Modern Blouse Designs: Traditional outfits Like a Pro
Try pairing a classic saree with a modern blouse style—think off-shoulder, cape sleeves, or crop top blouses.
Fusion Jewelry: Layer traditional jewelry with trendy pieces, like pairing antique bangles with a sleek choker or wearing silver hoops with a saree.
This fusion of styles not only adds interest to your outfit but also makes it look chic and fashion-forward.
3. Pick the Perfect Accessories
Red Combine jewellary With Earrings Set Traditional outfits Like a Pro
Accessories can transform a traditional outfit from simple to stunning.
Statement Earrings: Oversized jhumkas or chandbalis can elevate any traditional outfit without needing much else.
Neckpieces and Chokers: Layered necklaces work well with deeper necklines, while chokers are perfect for high-neck blouses.
Traditional Footwear: Juttis, mojaris, or kolhapuris add a cultural touch to your look and are also comfortable.
Be mindful of balancing your accessories to avoid looking overly decorated; for example, if you’re wearing heavy earrings, go easy on the necklace.
4. Experiment with Draping Styles
cotton by colour with blouse Traditional outfits Like a Pro
If you’re wearing a saree or dupatta, experimenting with different draping techniques can refresh your traditional attire.
Belted Saree Drape: Adding a belt over the saree pallu can give a contemporary twist and also keep it secure.Traditional outfits Like a Pro
Dupatta Draping: For lehengas, drape the dupatta over one shoulder for a classic look or across both shoulders for a regal feel.
Cape Style: Instead of the traditional dupatta drape, try wearing a cape with your lehenga or saree for a trendy look.
Draping styles can vary according to body shape, fabric, and the overall look you’re aiming for, so don’t be afraid to experiment.
5. Play with Colors and Patterns
Modal Silk Saree  Traditional outfits Like a Pro
Bold color combinations and unique patterns can make you stand out in traditional attire.
Mix & Match: Pair contrasting colors, like a maroon blouse with a golden saree or a bright dupatta with a neutral lehenga.
Monochrome Looks: For a classy vibe, choose a single color in different shades or textures.
Patterns and Prints: Traditional outfits Like a Pro Floral, paisley, and geometric prints are trending and can be incorporated into blouses, kurtas, or dupattas for a fresh twist.
Be mindful of balancing colors—if your outfit has bold hues or patterns, consider neutral accessories to keep the look polished.
6. Choose the Right Makeup and Hairstyle
Cotton Mulmul Saree  Traditional outfits Like a Pro
Your makeup and hairstyle should enhance your traditional attire without overwhelming it.
Makeup: Opt for a natural base, accentuating either the eyes with a bold kajal or the lips with a rich shade. Subtle highlighter and blush add warmth and radiance.
Hairstyles: For an elegant look, try a low bun or soft curls for sarees and lehengas. Braids adorned with flowers are perfect for weddings and festivals.
Hair Accessories: Adornments like maang tikka, gajra, or hairpins can complete the look and add traditional charm.
Keeping your makeup and hairstyle cohesive with your outfit’s vibe ensures a polished, put-together look.
7. Wear Confidence as Your Final Accessory

Introduction
Amritsar, the spiritual and cultural heart of Punjab, is home to the iconic Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib. This sacred Sikh shrine attracts millions of visitors from around the world, seeking spiritual solace and a glimpse into the rich heritage of Sikhism. A Golden Temple Amritsar tour offers a profound and enriching experience, blending spirituality, history, and the vibrant culture of Punjab.

Golden Temple: The Spiritual Epicenter
Harmandir Sahib
The Golden Temple, with its shimmering golden facade and serene surroundings, stands as a symbol of peace and equality. Situated in the middle of the Amrit Sarovar (Amritsar Lake), the temple is accessible via a causeway. The sanctum is adorned with intricate gold and marble work, and the Guru Granth Sahib (the holy scripture of Sikhism) is recited continuously.
The Sarovar
The holy water tank, or Sarovar, surrounding the Golden Temple, is believed to have healing properties. Devotees and visitors often take a dip in the sacred waters as a form of purification. The calm and tranquil waters add to the temple's serene ambiance.
Langar Hall
The Langar (community kitchen) at the Golden Temple serves free meals to all visitors, regardless of their background, caste, or religion. This tradition of selfless service and community dining is a profound expression of Sikhism's core principles. Volunteering in the Langar kitchen, whether by cooking, serving, or cleaning, is a humbling and rewarding experience.
Historical and Cultural Attractions
Jallianwala Bagh
A short walk from the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh is a historical site commemorating the tragic massacre of 1919. The garden, now a memorial, features a museum and a memorial flame, preserving the memory of the lives lost during the British colonial era. The bullet marks and the Martyrs' Well are poignant reminders of the brutal event.
Partition Museum
The Partition Museum, located in the Town Hall, is dedicated to the Partition of India in 1947. The museum showcases personal stories, photographs, and artifacts from this tumultuous period. It provides a deep insight into the human impact of Partition and the resilience of those who lived through it.
Akal Takht
Located within the Golden Temple complex, the Akal Takht (Throne of the Timeless One) is the highest temporal seat of Sikh authority. It was established by Guru Hargobind in 1606 and serves as a symbol of justice and sovereignty in Sikhism. The Akal Takht plays a crucial role in the religious and political life of Sikhs.
Local Markets and Shopping
Hall Bazaar
Hall Bazaar, one of Amritsar's oldest markets, offers a wide range of traditional Punjabi items. From vibrant Phulkari embroidery and Punjabi juttis (traditional footwear) to spices and souvenirs, the market is a shopper's paradise. The bustling lanes and colorful shops reflect the lively spirit of Amritsar.
Katra Jaimal Singh Market
Known for its textiles and clothing, Katra Jaimal Singh Market is the go-to place for traditional Punjabi attire. The market is famous for its beautifully crafted suits, sarees, and lehengas, making it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
Culinary Delights
Amritsari Kulcha
Amritsar is renowned for its culinary offerings, and the Amritsari Kulcha is a must-try. This stuffed bread, served with chole (chickpea curry) and a dollop of butter, is a local favorite. Bharawan Da Dhaba and Kesar Da Dhaba are famous for their delicious and authentic Punjabi cuisine.
Lassi
No visit to Amritsar is complete without tasting the famous Punjabi lassi. This refreshing yogurt-based drink is served in large glasses and often topped with a layer of cream. Gian Chand Lassi Wala is a popular spot to enjoy this traditional beverage.
Street Food
Amritsar's street food scene is vibrant and diverse. From spicy chaat and golgappas to savory kebabs and tandoori dishes, the city's food stalls offer a gastronomic adventure. Exploring the food joints around the Golden Temple and Hall Bazaar is highly recommended.
Tumblr media
Accommodation
Luxury Hotels
Amritsar offers a range of luxury hotels providing top-notch amenities and services. The Hyatt Regency, Taj Swarna, and Radisson Blu are some of the top choices for a luxurious stay. These hotels offer exquisite dining, spa services, and comfortable accommodations to make your stay memorable.
Budget Hotels
For budget-conscious travelers, Amritsar has numerous budget hotels and guesthouses that provide clean and comfortable accommodation. These establishments often offer basic amenities and are conveniently located near major tourist attractions.
Tips for Travelers
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Amritsar is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing. The summer months (April to June) can be extremely hot, while the monsoon season (July to September) brings humidity and rainfall.
Travel Essentials
When visiting the Golden Temple, it is important to dress modestly and cover your head as a sign of respect. Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended for daytime excursions. Staying hydrated and being cautious with street food is advisable to avoid any health issues.
Conclusion
A Golden Temple Amritsar tour offers a profound and enriching experience, blending spirituality, history, and vibrant culture. Whether you are seeking spiritual solace, exploring historical landmarks, or indulging in culinary delights, Amritsar promises a memorable journey. So pack your bags, and get ready to immerse yourself in the spiritual and cultural essence of Punjab.
