I don't think I participated in Rook battles until after the closing announcement, so I subscribed to the Rook Alerts chat and teleported as soon as the next one was announced.

And it was the best thing ever.

It practically became a job of showing up in a Rook suit and reviving animals and plants in need (plus some collaboration at the shrine) because how could I ever tire of having birds scratching and pecking at my screen? And yet I miss it. (Glitch Reminiscence 2/3)

being excited to find poop in the caves to put on your crops (even the day before shut down i was happy to see guano all over illmenskie. sigh.)

but most of all.... the community. no game has made me feel so welcome and loved. i said the other day that i'm usually really shy and antisocial in MMOs but glitch helped me to open up and not be afraid to, er, talk to strangers on the internet. i started playing in mid-august this year but i didn't open global chat until probably a week or so before the closing announcement. i'm so glad that i did and became a part of it. feel free to add things you'll miss here, if there isnt already a post going around!!
