Album Number Four Hundred Eighty Eight “The Allnighter” is the second solo studio album by #GlennFrey, the guitarist and co-lead vocalist for #TheEagles. The album was released in mid-1984 on MCA in the United States and the UK, two years after Frey's modestly successful debut album #nofunaloud and four years after the demise of the Eagles. It was and still is Frey's most successful solo album throughout his whole solo career, having reached No. 22 on the Billboard charts, and releasing two top 20 singles with "#SmugglersBlues" and "Sexy Girl". The album achieved gold status by the RIAA in the US. It is generally regarded as the culmination of the smoother, more adult-oriented sound of Frey's solo work. My copy is on #mcarecords - MCA-5501. (I’ve included pic of the UK release) The single "Smuggler's Blues" helped to inspire the #miamivice episode of the same name, and Frey was invited to star in that episode, which was Frey's acting debut. From the RIGHT:Jackson Browne, Joe Walsh, Dan Fogelberg, Randy Meisner, Jerry Brown (Governor of California), and Linda Ronstadt's boyfriend at the time, Glen Frey, Don Felder, Don Henley, who was also Ronstadt's boyfriend, and is seen raising Linda's dress, and esteemed California guitarist, David Lindley , who is best known for giving Jackson Browne songs their trademark shimmering guitar sound.

The album reached #32 on the charts and contained two top 40 singles, "The One You Love" and "I Found Somebody". The album was certified Gold by the RIAA, selling over half a million copies in the United States. One review stated “it's Frey's perfectly guided vocals and impeccable talent for crafting laid-back love songs that make[s] the album noteworthy ...
