Today Live with the incomparable Rosemary Butler!  I had the pleasure of meeting Rosemary at NAMM BC (before COVID) and had asked her then to do this. With the pandemic, it kind of got lost in the crazy,  then Snuffy and I ran into her more recently, and this time it stuck. 

Rosemary has been a back-up singer alongside Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Paul McCartney, Carole King, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Loggins, Whitney Houston, Ray Charles, and many other A-listers. Rosemary was the contractor and co-conductor of the 100 Voice Choir featured on Neil Young’s Living with War album and movie, and the Super Bowl pre-game show with Glenn Frey, President Clinton’s Inauguration, and The Grammys have all been graced by her voice. 

Beginning her career as a singer and bass player in the all-girl band The Ladybirds, who opened for The Stones, Rosemary formed the all-female hard rock band BIRTHA and released two early 70s albums for ABC-Dunhill Records.

Rose won a Telly Award for a video retrospective look at her career as a background singer alongside some of the most renowned recording artists of all time. Her latest solo album, You Watch Me, features her friends Kenny Loggins and Jackson Browne. 

Rosemary has sang with everybody who's anybody. I can't wait to hear all about her incredible journey.

Album Number Four Hundred Eighty Eight “The Allnighter” is the second solo studio album by #GlennFrey, the guitarist and co-lead vocalist for #TheEagles. The album was released in mid-1984 on MCA in the United States and the UK, two years after Frey's modestly successful debut album #nofunaloud and four years after the demise of the Eagles. It was and still is Frey's most successful solo album throughout his whole solo career, having reached No. 22 on the Billboard charts, and releasing two top 20 singles with "#SmugglersBlues" and "Sexy Girl". The album achieved gold status by the RIAA in the US. It is generally regarded as the culmination of the smoother, more adult-oriented sound of Frey's solo work. My copy is on #mcarecords - MCA-5501. (I’ve included pic of the UK release) The single "Smuggler's Blues" helped to inspire the #miamivice episode of the same name, and Frey was invited to star in that episode, which was Frey's acting debut.
