Oh, Love: Alpha!Gladiolus Amicitia x Omega!Reader
Tumblr media
Contains: Miscarriage, flashbacks containing blood, brief mentions of hospitals, not taking care of yourself, just sad stuff in general :(
Tumblr media
It wasn’t fair.
You lay helplessly on your side, surrounded by the nest that once brought you such warmth and comfort now turned into a horrible cage that suffocated you endlessly. What were once blankets and forgotten shirts of your mate’s now taunted you with their scent, especially the leftovers from months ago. It haunted you to your core to the point that your very bones felt like they would turn to dust should the Astrals will them to.
The Astrals.
You wept into the nest, sweat-soaked body shivering at the chill in the room as you thought about the six of them. Had you had done something to upset them so? In this life or your past ones? It was the only reason you could fathom for the cruelty that had just laid you out to rot. It felt as though you had been stripped completely naked before their very godly eyes and judged.
And you lost their verdict.
You were well out of tears, you’ve been fresh out for days at this point. Your eyes felt as though you had left them to dry in Hammerhead, tongue sticking to the roof of your mouth with the unsatisfactory taste of bile and unbrushed teeth clinging to the dry cavity. You couldn’t will yourself to climb out of your nest, barely able to even get up for the bathroom let alone take care of any of your other needs, and at this point, you were starting to smell like something really was rotting away in the nursery. You had been home for a little less than a week, your body was still sticky in some areas from medical tape and such, well-worn bandages and gauze were still stuck to your person and you really didn’t care to rip them off right now.
You squeezed your eyes shut as another dry sob tore through your body, turning your head to bury the sound into the floor of the nest. You clawed at your shoulders, nails biting through the thin fabric of one of your mate’s shirts. Normally, it was big on you, draping down and acted like a flowy nightdress, but it was bigger; Both from your stretching it as you curled up into a ball and tucked your legs inside and the fact that you were losing weight from simply not eating at all. You did it again, tucking your knees as far as they could go to your chin and trembled like you were left out in the freezing rains, inhaling your mate’s strong scent that heavily lingered.
His smell is normally enough to calm you down tremendously, but it didn’t do shit now.
It made you feel even worse, really.
How could you lose it? How could you lose his baby? How could you be so careless?
If you had just took better care of yourself…
‘These things happen,’ the voice of one of the Citadel’s doctors echoed in your head. ‘It’s not common that they happen nowadays, but it still does.’
It had to have been your fault.
How could he ever trust you let alone look at you again?
His footsteps were light, they’ve been light since the moment he could sniff out you were pregnant with his child, but he walked on even more fragile eggshells now. You could hear him descend the stairs, stilling your choked up breathing as you hiccuped softly, unscrewing your reddened eyes to focus only to close them when you heard him start for the door of the nursery once more today.
He knocked softly, the floorboards creaking under his bulky weight. His strong scent wafted from underneath the crack of the door. His scent had turned when you had miscarried, it wasn’t as strong. He normally smelled like a freshly lit campfire crackling away at tinder amongst the sweat he normally carried on his person, and it always did wonders for you. But now? That fire was put out, embers dying, smoke dissipating; Like someone - or something, damned Astrals - had taken the bucket of water to it after getting chewed out by a park ranger.
He waited for you to respond, he always did, even before you both mated. He knocked again a little louder when you didn’t respond.
“(Y/n)?” his voice croaked out from the other side. You couldn’t will yourself to speak, only letting out a pathetic whimper as freshly churned tears started to prickle at the corners of your eyes. The door creaked open as he slowly opened it, the smell of him suddenly enveloped you in a tight embrace to the point it nearly made you choke on nothing. “Oh, love,” he crooned.
Despite how worried he sounded, he had to have been mocking you. Right?
Right?
He stepped towards you slowly before he stopped right at the nest. You had built it after your heat hit unexpectedly while he was away with Noctis on a trip to an allied nation. He came home a few days later, able to smell your heat from the car before he even got out. It awoke something primal inside of him, yanking his rut into the light. He stormed through the house like a sex-crazed beast and yanked open the door to the nursery you’ve both longed to fill since the second you both mated nearly one year ago, clothes off, eyes lit aflame as he pounced. You both never bothered to take the nest apart, something inside of you needed it to stay up for as long as possible.
You could guess that your body knew all along that you’d fail.
What good was an omega who couldn’t have babies? Especially when the alpha was the shield of the future king?
Gladio toed off his boots and stepped into the nest, quickly getting on his knees behind you. He brought one big hand up to your hip, rubbing deep circles into the skin as he tried to assess you the best he could. You saw the look he wore out of the corner of your eye; Pure worry plastered on his chiseled face.
He wasn’t mad at you for losing your baby?
“How’re doing?” he murmured softly. Those two words were the straw that broke the spiracorn’s back. The flood gates reopened- no, they broke open. The cement walls you had been trying to patch up the past week suddenly exploded as you started to sob your eyes out once again. Gladio suddenly looked shocked and then horribly pained, not meaning to cause such anguish. He gripped at you, firm hands stopping you from completely curling in on yourself as you felt your entire world shift once again on its axis. “Shit- (Y/n), I’m so sorry, I- I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to make you cry more. (Y/n), baby, please.”
You’ve never seen him so shaken up until that night. You were barely into your second trimester, finally getting over the throes of morning sickness as excitement bubbled wildly inside of the two of you. Everything was so perfect until you suddenly awoke in the middle of the night to a horrible pain stinging your lower back as an unbearable pressure took hold of your core. He’d never heard you cry like that before, waking up from a dead sleep as your nails sank into him. When he flicked the lamp on, he felt as though he had been stabbed in the heart when he saw red blooming from the sheets beneath you.
Red.
Just thinking about that color made your throat tense and chin quiver, a sickening nausea rolling in as you tried to take stable breaths.
He gripped onto you harder, large hands splaying across your trembling skin as he shushed you softly. One of his hands rested on your waist, rocking you back and forth a bit to help calm you down, fingers digging in deep to the soft muscles to help ground you.
“(Y/n),” he crooned deeply. The sudden smell of campfires and nature bled into your nose despite your constant sniffling, but it wasn’t overpowering and primal like it was months ago during his spurred on rut. It wasn’t sexual- of course it wasn’t - but calming, like the nights of a camping trip gone right, a freshly lit fire campfire to round out the night, to keep you warm and comfortable in your tent. It did something, allowing the slightest bit of pain to ebb away from your heart as something fuzzy and warm settled in the back of your mind. “(Y/n), answer me,” he urged softly, kneading your body a little harder.
Your face suddenly twisted with grief again as another pitiful whimper racked your shoulders, your lips pulling back and you were left mumbling and babbling.
“I’m so sorry,” you were able to choke out before you felt yourself curl into a tight, quivering ball.
It pained him to see you this way, his senses burning with a desire to make things right by you some way and some how. He couldn’t deny the tears that prickled at the corners of his eyes and the way his breath caught in the back of his throat. He wasn’t one to cry. He’s been upset before, plenty of times, but the last time he really cried was when his mother passed when he and Iris were still young, never really being driven to up until now. The death of his unborn child and his omega taking it horribly weighed heavily on his shoulders.
The way you stopped taking care of yourself, the way you cried behind the closed door, the way you practically sealed yourself in the nursery to torture yourself even more. He needed to help you get better.
“This isn’t your fault,” he crooned. “We can always try again when we’re both ready.”
“G-Gladio-”
Gladio moved, deciding that this position wouldn’t do you both much good. He sank one hand underneath you, fingers curling around your shirt as he gripped at your clothed hip. You groaned in protest, fingers curling into the floor of the nest as you thought he was picking you up to take you away from this damned room, as a pitiful cry bubbled up to the surface. You only shut up when he moved you towards the edge and set you down gently before he laid down right behind you.
You found yourself suddenly draped in a blanket of safety as Gladio draped one of his burly arms over your waist and drew your back as close as he could to his front. He nosed at your jaw, urging you to tilt your head to the side as he quickly buried his face in your throat. He purred softly, pressing sweet kisses to your supple skin. He pressed an even deeper kiss to where he marked you.
You could still feel it, when he sank his teeth in your neck and claimed you as his own omega.
And he was your alpha.
Your alpha that was now taking care of you as you slowly stopped your weeping and started drifting off inside of your old nest with your alpha wrapped around you.

The Bride of the Four Horsemen - Chapter 5
Chapter 5 - The Red Rider of Blood - War
1 of 2 added chapters as a commission from destinidestati! Thank you so much for your support~! Another chapter will be added either later this week or early next!
Tumblr media
When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come.” And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.

Arcadia | The Wheelhouse
I opened the doors leading to the control room in haste. The front of the airship was seemingly only accompanied by Ignis and a few others who pledged themselves to us and our cause. Hearing them open, my husband turned to greet me. Even without sight, there were times he always surprised me with how acute his other senses were.
“Where is Noctis?” I asked, breathless from my swift and exhausted run through the airship.
“Fociaugh Hollow, my Bride,” Ignis answered, his tone harboring concern for my own. “He was looking into a small lead in regards to a powerful daemon he hoped to quell.” He met me halfway, opening his hand for me to take. “Is something the matter? You sound.. distressed.”
It was a dream. That’s what I had to tell myself, but there was some truth buried within that ‘dream’ that had me rattled to my core. My fingers caressed his open palm, trying to find comfort in his presence alone. “I had a vision of sorts.”
Ignis’ lips thinned as if already dreading what I were to say. Seems without me even speaking that horrid man’s name, he knew Ardyn was possibly involved.
“I was… I was warned that something could be happening to Gladio in Altissia at this moment.”
“Who warned you of this?”
I shook my head at his desire to pry. “It matters not! What concerns me is that they could be right. We have more enemies there than friends, and I was told only that he ventured with Aranea there for—for something.”
Ignis hummed in thought, glancing away to collect his thoughts on the matter. “He never spoke with me about this. I was even unaware he was heading there to begin with.” There was a bit of pain laboring his tone as he spoke.
I understood why, as those two seemed to share a lot with one another. Just as Ignis and I had our fair share of secrets, I wouldn't doubt those two had the same.

Hello! Can I please request a depressed!reader x gladio? Gn pronouns please
| Gladio Amicitia With a Depressed Reader |
[ Gladiolus Amicitia x GN! Reader ]
Tumblr media
TW/CW + Tags: Topic of depression. Mostly fluff, no dark topics whatsoever. (Established relationship. GN! Reader.)
Summary: HCs of Gladio with a depressed reader and how he would support you.
[ (A/N): Hey everyone! So sorry for the silence on my blog. The year is almost ending so it's been hectic these past weeks. I'll try to get some stuff out, but no promises yet. Anyways, I hope you enjoy! ]
At first, Gladio wouldn't be able to tell that something is wrong directly. Or maybe he would, but he won't say anything as to not be invasive.
When he does notice though, he’ll approach you in private about it. He won’t say his reason directly for why yet, instead asking things like how have you been doing as of late and of anything new going on.
If you did tell him what’s going on, letting him know of your depressed mood as of late, he’ll lend an ear.
Gladio may look tough and scary on the outside, but he’s always a softie towards the people he cares about. Including you.
He’s the kind of guy that will either give you a lot of advice or ask questions. Like giving you ideas for healthy coping skills or asking how he can best help you through it whenever it gets bad. You can always tell him no if you prefer.
Take meds? Once he gets used to it (which is rather quick), he’ll remind you to take them. Therapy? No worries, he’ll make sure there for those appointments by driving you.
As for comfort, if you let him he’s down for cuddles. Always. Movies? Bet. Need some space? It’s yours.
If there’s really anything he wants you to know, it is that you can always talk to him. He cares for you. So much.
Communicate with him about your needs. It might take some time in the beginning, but soon he’ll do his damn best to make sure that those needs are met.
“Babe, please know that you can always talk to me whenever you need it. I might be the king’s shield, but I will always be there as your personal shield.”

Gladiolus X Kingsglaive!Fem!Reader
DESCRIPTION: You are a tired Glaive with a thin patience for dating, noise, and crowded spaces-- After just getting your heart broken once again, you decide to sail alone in the sea of singleness. However, when being caught filtering in and out of a high security area where you do not belong, you find yourself in a pickle that is too hard to explain… and the problem itself has pretty amber eyes and rippling pectorals.
Warning: story does contain swearing. Read at your own risk.
A/N: Story based on Anon Request! See Part 1 for further details!
Hello everyone! Here is part 3, and shortly I will be posting part 4! I just want to assure everyone that I am still working diligently on requests! My next few weeks will be busy, (school is starting up, and I am playing both roles— a student and a teacher) but I'm going to spend today working hard on the request that I have! So be prepared for a Noctis X Reader in time! If you would like to see anything else, send requests my way!

"Gladio caught you?" Prompto's voice echoed off of your phone speaker as you moved about your kitchen.
"Yep, twice. I think I am… well fucked… to put it mildly," you huffed, grabbing yourself a plate from your cupboard. You gently sat it beside the phone before trailing to the fridge in search for lunchmeat and slices of cheese. Prompto's end was silent for a moment, the clacking of the buttons on his controller seemed to snap loudly into the receiver. He sighed with a shred of defeat before tuning back into the conversation.
"I don't think so. I think that if he wanted you in trouble you would have been in it already. He does have the ability of looking up everyone who works in the Citadel." Prompto spoke with confidence, his buttons clacking again as he restarted what you assumed he failed.
"He doesn't have my name—"
"There are picture ID's with the names. He can figure it out." Prompto's voice was distant, as if he was only half listening your conversation. His focus slowly slipping to the game he was playing. You mulled over that thought and felt more nervousness spike within your stomach. You pulled out two slices of bread and rested them onto your plate.
"He was searching for me.. at least I think it was him."
"You think?" Prompto asked, again you heard the clacking of the analog sticks as he wildly moved them. "You didn't see him?"
"No. the girls were describing someone," you lifted your hand as if you were counting off the compliments. "He is so tall, He is so muscular, and don't even get me started with his eyes." you had three fingers held up before nodding with satisfaction, your gaze shifting to the bread on your plate. You pulled out cheese and rested it on one of the slices.
"That's Gladio alright, why don't the girls talk about me like that. It is always has to be him." Prompto sighed. "Son of a bitch!"
You didn't respond to that, and opened the plastic container holding your lunchmeat. Pulling out a small pinch you began unfolding it and resting it on the bed of cheese. This conversation was not helping, your fear beginning to crawl up your throat and the appetite that you had moments before had been pilfered. You sighed with defeat, giving up on the meat and dumping it carelessly onto the cheese. "Prompto, If he turns me in, it will be your ass too for giving me the keycard."
"He won't," Prompto was confident, or at least appeared to be. "If he wanted you in trouble, he would've made the move to get you in trouble. Besides, I will be unscathed. There are perks with being best friends with the Prince. I may get 40 hours of training for a week, but I will be alright." He gave a small breath of relief, like he finally conquered whatever issue he encountered before. "Yeah, you may be in trouble—"
"Prompto, seriously. Not helping," you groaned.
The controller noises died instantly, "I am sorry! I don't mean to freak you out, it was a joke. I don't think he is turning you in. Between you and me, he is a big teddy bear. If he wanted you in trouble, then you would already be looking for a new job."
"Then why hasn't he?" The curiosity bristled within your chest. You felt a taste of relief from Prompto's words, but it didn't stop you from being concerned. Prompto was quiet for a moment, and you figured he didn't hear you. You went to repeat yourself but he cut you off the moment your voice perked up.
"He has his reasons. My guess is… he probably enjoys your company." Prompto was thinking, his voice falling pensively from the receiver. This plucked so many strange feelings from inside your heart-- and your face and ears began to grow painfully hot. You swallowed thickly.
"But I am mean to him.. I mean, not mean but sassy… He doesn't find that amusing--"
Prompto scoffed into the phone before resuming his game. "Maybe he considers it— you know what, I don't know. but again, between you and me— I think you are fine."
The conversation didn't progress further than that, and you were left with a swarm of weird feelings that seemed to bud into curiosity and maybe even admiration. You were curious to no end about what Prompto was alluding to, or fought to confess. But you swore he was about to say: flirting.
You sat with these emotions for a while, and were nearly searching for Gladio every time you entered the Citadel. You were waiting for two things now. An ambush and handcuffs, or a simple interaction with someone far out of your league. At least that's how you felt about it. Despite Prompto's confidence on your safety, you still stood on edge. But you were a determined woman, and you were also not one to step down.
Once more, you returned to the Royal Training Room.
It was empty again, this time, you came even later at night. That was the only time your schedule could allow. You didn't want to run the possibility of breaking bones by crashing into him again— Yet you also didn't want to walk in on him showering like the first time. So you finally decided that you would show up at some God awful hour in hopes to miss him completely. After all, you were still scooping at the well that luck had given you. At one point you were going to be sipping the last drip— You needed to be smart about this.
12:30 at night, you slipped into the training room, finding all of the lights were off. You sipped freely again, feeling absolutely quenched by luck's generously deep well. The woman's locker room was finally open to the public and you wasted no time to rush inside to change into your training attire.
You were maybe halfway through your routine when the training door squeaked loudly, forcing you to drop the weights you were trying to lift. They hit the rubber mats with a thud— your eyes splayed wide like a deer caught in the headlights.
You swore you were lightheaded, when Gladio approached you. He hadn't said a word, just his gaze holding yours with a very unfamiliar glint. He shifted his weight, looking at the dumbbells you dumped onto the ground. "Do you live here or something?" you grumbled, looking him over.
"No, but it sure appears that way." He shrugged. "If you are going to be in here, at least try to take care of the equipment." His brow raised, a shadow of a smirk lifting to his lips.
You tried to think of something witty to say back, however he was already turned and heading towards the locker room. Was that lady luck refilling your glass, or did he just let everything slip without question or accusation. Was he onto you already? and did Prompto say something? He was gone before you even realized it. You stood in question all over again before swiftly gathering yourself and grabbing the weights you carelessly dropped.
He seemed to go about his business like you weren't even there. Aside from the occasional glances that you were sure held a scrutinizing spark. But you ignored it and proceeded to the very last part of your practice— Hand to hand combat. You took some powerful swings at the punching bag, sending it swinging and crying on the chains that supported it. You were determined and focused, following your routine of punches, upper cuts, side swipes and occasional kicks. You were engrossed entirely in your workout— and didn't notice Gladio standing behind and watching with an observant gaze. That was until you turned around to sip at your water bottle when you noticed him. You nearly spilled the bottle from the jolt it gave you. "Sorry," he stated, "Didn't mean to scare you, no name."
He stated your fake alias as if he were trying to remind you that you never even introduced yourself properly. But you were damned if you were going to let him know your identity, even despite his kindness. "Did you need to use this?" You looked up from the mouth of your water bottle and eyed him. You almost wanted to see him hit that bag with full force. You were almost positive the fixtures would come tearing out of the low ceiling if he were to. But you swallowed that thought with a splash of water.
"No, I just saw you were not hitting properly. You need to improve your form. You hit hard but you could hit harder if you were to spread you legs a little bit and twist, using your weight as leverage." He shrugged, looking behind you as if to silently ask to demonstrate.
You were shocked and must've appeared that way because your lips still lightly clung to the mouth of the bottle, eyes never leaving his. Was he helping you? There was the heat that came sweltering back, as if the sun fell to the planet to banish it away. You side stepped allowing him to demonstrate.
He showed you, gesturing to the way his legs were spread, then slowly ran through the motion. His body twisted and he mustered the force of his weight into his fist, hitting the bag hard and swiftly. The fixtures did not give, yet the chains rattled and pulled tight. He caught it before it could swing back again. He steadied it and glanced back at you, "You try." He moved, gesturing you to the bag. You watched him closely before setting the water down and taking his place in front of the bag. Your eyes lingered on him for a moment longer before you mimicked his movements.
It took only a few attempts before you honed it in and nailed the bag hard enough to make it swing, the chains rattling much like the way Gladio had them moments before. You turned to him and caught a smile lift to his face. "Better," He nodded.
From there he began to teach you, not like you asked. But his techniques and ideas were all appreciated— considering he was the sworn Shield of the Prince. He knew a lot about combat. It wasn't long until he invited you to spar with him at the end of your work out.
He was slower then you, however his blows were heavy and hard. You found him to be a difficult individual to fight— to say the least, he was a formidable foe. It made you glad that he didn't detain you the first day he caught you, because it would take him absolutely nothing to do so.
It wasn't like you couldn't hold your own, however. The sheen of sweat that coated Gladio's face and pieces of his exposed body seemed to solidify that you, too, gave him a run for his money. Where he hit hard, you would dodge and hit him twice with a strong precision. In the glaive, you were known for your swiftness in the battlefield. It showed by the way his breath fell heavy from his lungs in deep, sharp gusts.
You stood about a yard away from him now, looking down the long stretch of space at him. His heavy sparring sword hung like a dead weight against his shoulders. To say you were proud of yourself was an absolute understatement. Gladiolus Amicitia, Son of Clarus Amicitia the shield of the king, stood winded in your path. Yeah, you may had been a bit too proud. But that never stopped you before, and a cocky smile grew cheekily onto your lips. "Give up?" You smirked, eyes watching as his gaze picked up to greet yours. You swallowed deeply at his sudden change of demeanor.
"Against a pip squeak like you?" He stood straight, thick eyebrow quirking in a challenging pose. "Yeah, right." The air felt a smidge thicker, and was that tension there before? His eyes, as bright and clear as they always had been, were masked with something fierce; Something you couldn't truly peg yourself. But if you were to give that look and the sudden change of air pressure a voice, it would say the gloves are off
This man, was toying with you. Like he always had been. And quickly this match turned from training, to now proving worth to the other— honor dangling on a thin golden thread. He came at you with a level of swiftness you hadn't seen from him yet that night. Taking one hard swing with his training sword, he mustered what he could behind it. You brought up your training weapon to block, the sheer force jarred your arms and upper body. but the blade remained against yours. Only for a moment.
That was until he unleashed what you felt was his second motor— it rocked the pistons within his joints, and sent jolts of power through his muscles. It was enough to push you backwards, skidding against the wooden ground. You went to make your attack, however found yourself grappling him. It happened faster then you could connect any dots, and felt the ground connect hard with your back— stealing the oxygen straight from your lungs. He had you pinned.
"That's game, Sweetheart." His lips reflected the boost of confidence he must have felt. You gasped for air as he knelt beside you, taking your wrist in his hand. He slowly pulled you to sit upward. You wanted to punch him for being so helpful and kind. But in the same way, you wanted to laugh and relent. He was superior on the battlefield. The cocky smirk bled to a genuine smile as you let a little laugh escape your gasping lips. Your voice echoed off of the walls of the empty training room. For a moment in time, you forgot who you were, who he was, where you were and what time it was. In this moment of rushing adrenaline and the dying buzz of exhilaration, you were simply two people.
"Damn." You whispered, eyes finding the gentle spark within his. You caught a single bead of sweat tread down his temple— falling quickly beneath his stubble. "You're good," you croaked, arching your back in means to stretch the crunched bones that made up your spine. A stiff back and muscle soreness was surely in your future— But it was almost welcomed.
"Thanks," He tilted his head back, before looking back at you. "You're not bad, yourself. Put up quite a fight."
"I usually do—" your voice strained as you twisted your core.
"I'm aware," the way his voice fell made your blood run hotter than usual— as if magma was just injected into your blood stream. You were quick to find his eyes on you, gently holding you. That's when you noticed that he hadn't let go of your wrist, his big fingers gently wrapped around it, holding it secure against the smoothness of his palm. Your betraying eyes moved from his eyes to the smile perched on his lips. Oh damn.
You retreated to look back at his eyes again. The magma that ran thickly through your veins, now lifted it's unbearable heat to your skin— turning it red like heated igneous rock. It started in your cheeks, and like wild fire, caught your neck and ears ablaze as well. You swallowed hard before turning your gaze from his unmoving one. "Well, whatever." You tugged your wrist from his hand, trying not to swoon at the way your fingers slid past the openness of his palm. "You have had more practice than I had. And you are bigger than me—" your tried shuffling to your feet.
"Sounds like a load of excuses to me." Gladio mumbled, eyes watching you as you found your footing. You shot him a half amused glare before finding your training weapon and securing it back into your hand.
"Not all of us glaives receive extended training periods with skilled fighters, like you do. But, I digress." You turned, eyes now meeting the broadness of his muscular chest. He had risen to his full height. You stretched your gaze to meet his.
"Just like how you never had the pleasure of getting a name?" He was dead set on getting that from you. But you smiled, nodded, and turned to walk towards the locker room. You felt secure in the idea that he wasn't going to turn you in. If that late night and very early morning did not hint strongly enough at that, then maybe the way he looked at you and held your wrist, had. But either way— you were not going to tell him your name. It was too fun to keep the mystery alive.
"Exactly like that," you answered coyly.
It was two in the morning when you left the locker room, sopping up your dripping hair with a towel. You expected the room to be empty as you left— but instead you caught Gladio sitting on a bench near the door, book in hand. In your mind you never pictured him to be one for reading, the sight seemed so foreign it was hard not to stare at him. It was a red, hard cover book with golden letters that glistened off of the florescent lighting. You stopped in front of him and leaned in to read the title. "The Silence of Knowledge," you stated pensively, the cover of the book moved as he slowly pulled it shut and looked at you from over it. "Sounds like a boring read," you shrugged, pulling the strap of your falling bag back onto your shoulder. With a small side step you dumped the towel you were using into the hamper by the door.
"It requires a selective taste," He bellowed, watching your eyes closely before shoving the book back into an unzipped pocket in his own bag. "I was worried you died in there." He swiftly pulled the zipper and fastened the pocket before glancing back up at you.
"You didn't have to wait for me," you said with a tilt of your head. He stood up and followed you as you ambled your way towards the double gym doors. You shoved the metal bar— it snapped as it unlatched and squeaked as it opened.
"I know," Gladio walked to the light switch near the door, and shut the lights off with a swift swipe of his hand. "Thought it would be the gentleman thing to do after kicking your ass." You held the door open with your outwardly cocked hip, arms folding across your chest.
"Hilarious," you deadpanned, his hand coming out to hold open the door for himself as you stepped away. The door snapped behind him when he moved into the juncture that held it. He turned, grabbing the handle and giving it a hard tug to assure that it shut all the way. The automated lock clicked in place when it had.
The pair of you walked down the hall, side by side. The silence that started off comfortable began to grow a little awkward and in a grand fear of it continuing down the path of unbearable, you cleared your throat. "So why are you up so late?"
Gladio glanced over at you and shrugged. "Had a hard time sleeping. Figured a light work out would help." His answer was so simple, you felt sad at how short it was, and that it lacked the intention to continue further with the conversation. You nodded as you made it to the brass doors of one of the side exits. He opened the door for you and allowed you to exit before he did.
"Is this the part where I get jumped by 40 cops and get detained?" You asked as you passed the threshold. The cool damp night seemed to make you shiver slightly, and nipped at the tip of your nose. But you tried to pay it no mind as you turned your pointed gaze at Gladio. The door slid from his grip after you passed through and he turned to face you.
"Not my plan, but I can arrange it."
"Why haven't you turned me in yet?" The question fell of off your lips faster then your mind grew the sense to dispel it. You swallowed thickly, as he stroked his chin with his fingertips.
"Not sure, do you want to be turned in?"
"No. I am just confused as to why you haven't yet." It wasn't like you ran into him multiple times now. And each time he tried to get your name or toyed around with the threat of handling the situation. He studied your face for a moment before looking up at the clouds that were once hanging heavily over Insomnia. It was as if he was searching for that answer himself and the clouds were going to spell that answer out for him. You were caught following his gaze before trekking your own path. The city lights reflected off of the soaked pavement and buildings, giving the street a faint glow. It was almost romantic if you were not questioning the position you truly stood in. He cleared his throat.
"Not nearly as confused as I am, because I still do not know your name," Again he pranced on the line of requesting and begging.
"Not like you can't figure it out."
"Maybe I have,"
You quirked your eyebrow, "Then you wouldn't be asking—"
"Maybe I want you to say it so I don't mispronounce it."
You both stood there staring at one another. He had a wide playful grin, and you sported a confused gaze, drinking in his features for any signs of dishonesty. He held a smile of confidence, and his eyes were unwavering from yours. You struggled to read him, either he knew your name, or he had a fantastic poker face.
The wailing from a police siren broke the silent string of exchanges. "I won't be upset if you do. I can always correct you." You stood your ground, watching how his face reacted to your statement. You expected a wave of fear to surge through his eyes— and waited for the confident, shit eating grin to falter. However you were shocked to see his confidence heighten and his smirk uplift further.
"Do you need a ride?" He looked out at the dark sky. He changed the subject, leaning towards the prospect that he had no idea what your name was— it was just a way to get you to say it.
"You don't know my name, do you?"
"I asked if you needed a ride, Sweetheart."
"And give you the location of my home. I think not--" You turned on your heels and proceeded down the small flight of stairs leading towards the parking lot.
"If you insist, just don't get your ass handed to you out there. Would hate to see your name in the paper—" he tutted, following you down and stopping at the bottom of the stairs. You however continued to walk, eyes officially focused towards the exit.
"If you could even recognize it." You didn't even bother to turn to look at him— and you raised your hand as if to say goodbye. "See ya," you called after you gave a small wave, and continued your steady pace back home.
Walking through the door of your apartment, you unpacked the day with your gym bag; throwing the work out clothes from earlier into the waiting washing machine. "Wait a damn minute," you paused, closing the heavy lid and listening to it latch. Your brow furrowed, feeling that magma resurface again, bringing the heat back to your cheeks— "Did he call me Sweetheart?"

Big Hands: Gladiolus Amicitia x Plus-Sized!Reader (Semi-NSFW)
Contains: Implied sex at the end, self-deprecating thoughts, body image
Tumblr media
Despite his promises, his gentle crooning and warm embraces as well as the countless times he had you wrapped around his finger, you still couldn’t get over the looks people were giving you as well as the words muttered under their breath. It was everywhere, people were everywhere, judging you, weighing you as inferior compared to the god-like being standing next to you, holding your hand firmly. You felt like crawling back under the covers of your comfy bed, to disappear from the world.
It was all the same insults and comments, over and over again. The words looming over you like you were in some stupid horror movie. It didn’t shock you all that much about how frail your confidence was.
Shattered like a broken mirror with the brick being just a jumble of words.
He would often fight back, spitting harsh threats at the people that treated you worse than hunters treated their targets. He hated how quick people would turn on others. It was revolting, that humans can be so cruel to one another without even caring.
He was always so quick to escort you away, to care for you, to fix that fragile mirror even if it meant he would cut his fingertips.
But he adored you.
Where he was hard and ridged, you were soft and delicate. He loved feeling your curves, he loved holding something that wasn’t a heavy broadsword or shield that rubbed his scratched up palms raw. He loved holding your hands and absent-mindedly playing with your chubby fingers.
It was all the better as he would always hold you tightly, stopping you from squirming.
“I’ve got big hands for a reason,” he would always grumble into your ear before pinching at the plush curve of your ass.
And he was no different tonight. He had found you sitting on the bed, back facing him. He knew what had happened, heard from Ignis that a few citizens were snickering under their breath as you were helping Ignis and Prompto with a few things. Even worse, he had seen the scale on the bathroom floor, barely sticking out from the cabinet next to the sink. He barely saw it himself, but seeing the contraption only fueled his anger.
“(Y/n)?” he murmured, pushing the bedroom door open a little more.
You didn’t answer. You sat there, still, head down and looking at the floorboards. You could feel your face heating up in embarrassment.
You were only soiling his royal name the more you stayed with him.
The door opened fully, the light of the hallway filled the dark bedroom.
Gladio sighed and slowly stepped towards you. Instead of rounding the corners of the massive bed, he instead climbed up onto the mattress from behind and kneeled behind you. You flinched when his large hands came into contact with your shoulders.
You always loved how his rough hands felt against your soft skin.
His fingertips curled, allowing him to push himself forward until his chiseled chest and abdomen was pressed right up against your back. He hummed softly, slowly moving his hands down the length of your arms until the joined together right on top of your belly.
You bit your lip, feeling suddenly nauseous at how disgusting you looked right now. Oh Six, why did you have to be this disgusting? Why did this being chiseled by the Six themselves fall for you? Oh Six, why does you belly look like that when you sit down? And why are your legs so big and awkward?
Your throat tensed and tightened. You felt like you were going to vomit.
You nearly heaved when he placed his lips on your shoulder, feeling the scratch of his facial hair brush against your skin. He hummed softly and pressed another kiss closer to your neck.
“I love you,” he murmured.
It always fascinated you on how soft Gladiolus could be. He was the King’s shield. He was meant to be a force of nature. He was a behemoth in human skin with how powerful he was and how dangerous he could be. And yet, he’s being so gentle to you.
“Gladio,” you whimpered.
He shushed you, tightening his grip around you and resting his head on the crook of your shoulder. He pressed a kiss to your neck.
“I love you so much,” he cooed. “I love you so much, it’s crazy.” Another kiss had you suddenly tearing up, a sob pushing past your sealed lips. “I ever tell you how much I fucking love you?” he hummed in your ear. “I love you so fucking much (Y/n).”
“Gladio,” you whimpered.
He was so warm against your back. It felt nice.
“I love that you’re so soft. I love your cute fingers and how you always blush when I hold your hand.” He tightened his hold around you. “I love how you always sleep on top of me, a perfect way for me to grab at that fine ass of yours.” You couldn’t help yourself but to laugh. A few tears rolled down your full cheeks which Gladio quickly wiped away. “I love you so much, I’m so fucking lucky I met you when I did. And I’m so lucky the Astrals above blessed me with these big hands so I can show you how much I love you whenever I want.”
And just as he said that, his hands flew from your waist to slide under your ass. he hiked you up in the air, suddenly standing on the floor. Carrying you bridal style, he grinned down at your blushing face. His eyes were a fiery blaze, suddenly filling with lust.
He set you down on the bed, kicking the bedroom door closed with his heel.
“I love you so fucking much, it’s not even funny,” he grumbled.
“You know Iris is home,” you found yourself laughing.
“She has friends she can go hang out with.”
And just like that, his belt was loosened and his pants fell to the floor.

Oral sex (Male receiving) Size kink: Gladio is 6'6", Ignis is 6'0", and reader is 5'0". Double penetration. Public sex. Voyeurism. Pet names/dirty talk. ___________________________ Taglist: @gabrielasalazar18 @winxtwins
It has been months since the last sexual encounter with Gladio. You both agreed it was going to be a one-time thing since you both had so much pent-up anger towards one another. Ever since then you both were almost always glued to each other's hips. You were given your first job for royal duties. You were to be there with Gladio and his friends to be with Noctis and protect him when needed. So now here you were; months after leaving Insomnia and camping out with the group. The evening air was warm and relaxing as it swept against your skin while you rested your head back against the backseat of the Regalia while you were trapped between Noctis and Gladio. You knew you all wouldn't be stopping anywhere soon and since you had a sweet tooth you decided a lollipop would suffice for now as you pulled it from the snack apartment at the back of the Regalia where Ignis kept his Ebony. No matter how hard he tried to fight it, Gladio's amber eyes drifted from the pages of his book to the way you opened your mouth and how it sucked and licked at the red sugary treat. You gave a soft hum as your eyes fluttered closed as the juices coated your tongue sending the satisfaction you were dying to itch for your sweet tooth. Prompto gave a chuckle as he held up his camera and took a photo of you for the memory book he was making for Lady Lunafreya. Gladio cleared his throat, passing it off as if he was stretched while he stretched his arms out and gave the realist-sounding yawn he could possibly conjure up. Ignis looked into the rearview mirror with a raised brow at the sudden outburst from your titan of a step-brother. Gladio turned his book over and placed it over his growing bulge in hopes to hide it before letting out a sigh. "Hey, Iggy. Could we possibly set up camp up here? It is getting pretty late and I am sure we all could stretch our legs." "It's up to No-." Ignis went to say as his green eyes went back to the road. "I don't mind. I'm so tired." Noctis said with a yawn. "Let's do it. 'M sure Y/N could use the stretch." "I bet she could." Gladio said, his voice lower than usual, laced with a certain hunger lingering behind them. You shuddered slightly as Ignis pulled over, allowing everyone to hop out. "I'll go set up the tents." "Sounds good. Y/N? Could you lend a hand for a moment? There are some nearby ingredients I'd like to gather." "Sure thing. We'll be back, boys." You said after pulling your lollipop from your lips. Gladio watched as you walked with Ignis, your mouth wrapping back around the stick of the candy as you disappeared behind boulders with Ignis. About five minutes later Ignis finally came to a halt but you couldn't see any ingredients anywhere. Usually, you'd find them near giant rocks or trees but there were none. When you turned to give Ignis a confused look, you saw him remove his glasses and stick them in the chest pocket of his shirt before he began to close the distance between the two of you. Your breath was uneven as your back came into contact with the rough surface of a giant rock behind you, scraping your skin slightly as Ignis placed his hands on either side of your head; his soft green eyes looking down at you taking in how your bottom lip quivered slightly under the stick of your lollipop. You cursed yourself as you felt the growing wet patch on your underwear, a slight breeze coaxing a whine from you as it brushed under your skirt. Why did you have to wear lace undies today? Why did you decide a sucker was a good idea around a bunch of guys? "I've held my feelings in for far too long. The moment we met I wanted to express how I felt towards you but I was too afraid of rejection. The way you steal glances of me and the way you act around us has been too much for me to handle. Do you know how hard it is for a gentleman such as myself to keep the lustful desires at bay? " You swallowed the saliva that was building in your mouth from both his actions and from sucking on the candy. Ignis
smirked slightly as he moved his hand, softly grabbing the stick and pulling the treat from your lips before bringing his face close to yours; the huffs of his soft breath fanning against your skin making your face match the color of the sucker that now rest in his hand. "I-Ignis..." Was all you could manage to say. "May I?" He asked as his eyes went down to your trembling lips, his other hand coming up and resting against your chin while his thumb brushed along your lip. "Go... Go ahead." His lips are soft compared to Gladio's; his touches gentle and delicate as he let the lollipop fall to the ground when he moved his hand to your hip. You melted into the kiss, gripping the hair at the nape of his neck as you deepened the kiss which seemed to be what Ignis wanted as he parted his lips allowing your tongue to move against his. Your brows knitted together as you felt his slender fingers slip under the lace of your underwear; a gasp escaped you as he slipped his middle finger into your weeping hole. Ignis chuckled darkly as he swallowed up your whines, nibbling your bottom lip while shoving his ring finger into you as well. Your legs began to buckle as he started to fuck you with his fingers, pushing them knuckles deep inside of you. He let out a moan as he kissed and nipped down to your collar bone as the sound of how wet you were filled his ears. "By the six... You're so needy for me aren't you, my sweet? I'm not going to stop until you feel like you are shaking and sobbing." "What the hell are you doing?" Gladio's booming voice made you jump and clench tightly around Ignis's fingers. All you could do was grip Ignis's shoulders as he straightened, keeping his fingers inside of you. "Checking on Y/N. She said she wasn't feeling well." "Is that so? Leave us. I'll have word with you later, Iggy." Gladio said as he crossed his arms over his chest. A desperate whimper left your lips as Ignis pulled from you. You felt flustered as he winked at you before walking off to leave Gladio to scold you... but you knew he was going to be scolding you for a different reason. "What is it, Gladio?" You asked before he pinned you against the rock, his big rough hand gripping your jaw as he bent his arm and rested it against the rough side of the boulder. "You got some fuckin' nerve y'know that, brat?" He barked through gritted teeth as he leaned down until his face was even with yours. "Suck it up, big guy. You made your decision that day after you had your way with me. You wanted it to be a one-time thing so I agreed." The feeling of Gladio's hand coming into contact with your face then gripping your jaw again took you off guard but it wasn't hard enough to hurt you. It sent the feeling of electricity through your body. "I fucking meant it when I said you belong to me. Your pussy is mine. No one else's. I don't give a fuck what I said that day. Did his fingers feel good inside of you? Lemme see how wet you are for Ignis." You let out a labored breath as you locked eyes with Gladio as he ripped your panties down and moved his hand from your face down to settle between your legs. "Fu-Fuck. He felt so good inside of me. Wished it was his cock. Been thinking about he'd look while I rode his cock." Gladio growled as he took hold of your hair, spinning you around to face the rock before undoing his belt and letting his pants fall down to his ankles. "Oh yeah? I don't think his cock could make you feel like this though, kitten." You covered your mouth as he shoved his cock into you. Gladio groaned as he took your hair and wrapped it around his hand so he could pull your head back. "Come out, Iggy. I know you're back there listening while you get off. Why don't you show Y/N how she makes you feel." Your face and body felt hot prickles spread throughout as you glanced over at Ignis as he moved into
view while palming his length through the tight material of his jeans. His hair was a disheveled mess as he watched with heavy lids, his lips parting slightly before taking his bottom lip between his teeth. "Fuck... Iggy." You cried out as Gladio smacked your ass hard. "Gladio... Please." "I thought you were my good girl. Lay down, Iggy. I want Y/N to ride you." You moaned as Gladio pulled from you and turned your head just enough for your lips to connect with his. Ignis positioned himself on the soft grass, pulling his pants down slightly until his cock sprang free from his pants, coming to rest against his abdomen. Your mouth was practically watering as you climbed on top to straddle his lap. Your hands lay flat against his chest as he helped line himself with your entrance and slowly began to ease himself into you. Every inch of stretch felt like heaven. You smiled down at him as your fingers were quick to undo his shirt buttons; the fabric of his shirt falling open to expose his toned body. Ignis moaned out as you licked and kissed at his body while rocking your hips slightly. "Shit..." Ignis threw his head back as you squeezed around him, grinding your hips harder against his. He looked at you with furrowed brows and soft eyes as he watched the way you looked at him, the feeling of lust taking over your body. Gladio let out a satisfied noise as he gripped your hair, bringing your face to his cock. You moaned and started riding Ignis hard as you took Gladio in your mouth, shoving him deep down your throat as the man under you watched in awe as his hands gripped your ass. Before you could keep too into sucking the giant of a man off he pulled away and positioned himself behind you. You swallowed thickly as you stilled your hips allowing him to push himself into your ass slowly as to not hurt you. Gladio peppered soft kisses along your shoulder and neck after pulling your shirt off while rubbing soothing motions along the curves of your body to help coax you through the stretch and stinging. "That's it. You're taking us so nicely. Let me know if it hurts or gets too much, okay?" You nodded as he pulled your hair back, pressing his lips against yours. Once he was all the way in, he and Ignis sat still and said sweet praises while their hands and lips traveled all over your body. You were shaking from the pleasure of both of them filling you up. Ignis captured your lips with his and began to rock his hips up to meet with yours along with Gladio who held you firmly in place. Your kisses soon became desperate as tears streaked down your face from the pleasure, Ignis's tongue against yours as he rested a hand against your hip bone while circling his thumb around your sensitive clit. You let out a cry of pleasure as his free hand wrapped around your throat as he chased after his orgasm. Your body began to convulse signaling your orgasm causing Gladio's and Ignis's thrusts to become feral and needy. "That's it, baby. Cum with us. Wanna feel you lose yourself to lust. Just like that, Iggy." "Gla-Gladio. Iggy!" You choked out between sobs as you tensed up. Your orgasm hitting at full force. Gladio and Ignis let out needy whines and grunts as they became sloppy, filling you with their hot spend soon after while continuing to pump themselves into you until you were down from your highs. "You good, g... guys??" A meek voice asked trailing off. The three of you turned your heads to see a red-faced Prompto and Noctis with his jaw hanging low as they looked at you in pure shock and confusion.

You Feel Insecure (Final Fantasy XV Preference)
Characters: Noctis, Prompto, Ignis, Gladio
Requested by @lupanaoflaminar: A preference with the chocobros reaction to the reader - who just found out her BFF is engaged and feels like she’ll never be good enough to find someone of her own?
_
Want to send a request? Read my rules first, please!
_
Noctis
Tumblr media
You had been acting a bit strange, being very quiet and distant. When Noctis asked and you told him that your best friend was getting married and you were afraid that you wouldn’t find someone yourself, he kind of relates to you. Being engaged to Luna, he wonders if he can actually have someone romantically or if he’s doomed to always have political alliances since Lunafreya is more like a sister to him. Noctis was never super into dating, but when you talk to him he wonders if he has feelings for you. “Yeah, I know how you feel, Y/N...”
Prompto
Tumblr media
At first, Prompto is kind of outraged that you could think that, and it’s kind of endearing how the mere idea that you don’t see how wonderful you are frustrates him. After that follows a very honest and genuine conversation in which you compliment each other, open your hearts and speak up all your insecurities, only for the other to be there for comfort. After that long and serious conversation that develops in jokes, playfulness and afection, you both feel a lot better. “What?! Y/N, you’re amazing, never forget that! But... I kinda know how you feel...”
Ignis
Tumblr media
Ignis is worried about you, seeing as you’re a bit isolated as of late. Having heard the news about your friend’s wedding himself, he realizes that it’s bothering you. After giving you some time alone, Ignis approaches you and confronts the situation, asking you if you want to talk. Once you voice your struggles and insecurities, that Ignis intently listens to, he’s there to comfort you and remind you how great you are. He’s always very polite and correct, but Ignis has a lot of good things to say about you and he doesn’t hesitate to tell them to you. “Honestly, Y/N, I think you’ve a very interesting person with a kind soul and a curious mind. In my opinion, anyone would be lucky to have you as their partner”
Gladio
Tumblr media
Gladio doesn’t want to wait or let you dwell in your insecurities, he immediately goes to you and asks why you’re suddenly so glum. When you tell him that you’re a bit jealous of your friend getting married and overall worried that you might not be good enough to find your own partner, Gladio lets out a sarcastic chuckle. He is very bold and transparent as he tells you how impossible that seems to him, that you actually have a lot of admirers even if you don’t know, and he’ll joke around a little bit to make you smile. “If only you knew how many people are attracted to you, Y/N... You’re great, so no more long faces, okay?”

Gladiolus Amicitia- The Winter Months
Holiday themed imagines for multiple fandoms? Yes, please.
CHECK OUT MY MASTERLIST HERE!
Leggo!
...
There was nothing like basking in the cold weather on a evening like this one. Everything seemed fine in that instant. The snow had stopped falling from the sky which finally made it clear to see everything.
“Gladio, check it out!” you peeked out the window, watching the snow stick to the ground. “It’s beautiful.” you said breathlessly. The white blanket of snow went for miles it looked like.
“What exactly am I checking out?” You heard a gruff voice from behind you. “Hm, looks like it finally stopped snowing.” Gladio sat next to you. “Hope the roads aren’t blocked too bad.”
“Forget the roads! Come on! Let’s go outside!” You jumped to your feet, bolting for the bedroom. “PUT ON A SHIRT AND HURRY UP!”
“Y/N, can’t we just stay in for once?” Gladiolus followed you into the room. “We go outside almost every day.” he chuckled, wrapping his arms around you from behind. “Don’t you think you can sit this one out?”
“No, my answer is no.” you concluded. “What are we supposed to do then?” you asked boredly. “There’s nothing to do in here!” you whined, burying your head into Gladio’s chest. “Unless you can think of something to do.”
“Hm. Let me think.” Gladio tapped his chin, pretending to think about something. “We could start up the fireplace, make some hot cocoa maybe?” he trailed his hands down your back. “You could sit on my lap while I read to you like I know you love.”
“Are you trying to seduce me?” You raised an eyebrow.
“Babe, I’m insulted.” he shook his head. “Why would I ever try and do that to such an innocent soul.” he kissed your head.. “Maybe I just wanna spend some quiet time with my babe.” You looked up at him.
“What a shame.” you shrugged. “I was hoping you were.” you stepped back. “SO PUT ON A SHIRT AND LET’S GO!”
You went back to digging in your closet, Gladio playfully shaking his head at you.
He just loved winter time.

When you opened your eyes, you found yourself submerged under clear blue water - and you were descending fast. Yet, it didn't scare you, somehow. If anything, you actually felt comfortable. As the current dragged you to the deep ends, you felt tempted to close your eyes again and fall asleep.
Suddenly, you felt something tug at your wrist. You glanced up and saw that a slim, fair-skinned hand was pulling you upstream. When you looked up, you found two bluest eyes stare right back at you.
"Luna?" You called out. Then you saw the figure smile sweetly.
"Hmm, good attempt. But no."

Want to continue? Here is Part 3 and Part 4
Tumblr media
The following week after your run in with Gladiolus, you had been stressed and high strung. Though you kept your cool on the exterior— you could not deny the fact that you were exceedingly worried. Every time you came to work, you expected a powwow waiting for you within the briefing room. The marshal with his stern, merciless gaze, beside the General who sported something similar with a deepening scowl. Then you worried about Gladio; smug look written on his face at the fact that you were now caught and would be prepared for the Stony Lonesome.
However, as the week drudged along— and you remained unscathed from the law and the wrath that it held— you began to fall back into your normal routine. And you no longer jumped at shadows when turning corners throughout the Citadel. With that being said; your boldness from before grew back stronger then ever.
It only took one very long evening in the Glaive training room to bring you back to your further faults. Before you knew it, you were rounding the corner and taking the hallway that lead straight to the Royal Training Room.
You were not stupid, however, and learned your mistake the moment after you made it. When you were caught you had went late at night. Early in the morning however— You felt would be a safer bet. No one in their right minds would be training at 3 in the morning.
The moment you slid the keycard from your pocket and tapped it against the receiver, you felt a silent wash of relief. With a forceful push, you opened the door revealing the dark, inky depths of the room. You were most certainly in the clear. With the aid of your phone flashlight, you were able to find the light switch, which bathed the training area in an familiar florescent lighting. There was a hidden pride beneath your skin as you trekked across the wooden floor towards the mens locker room— You were alone, and you were the first to grace light into the kingdom of exercising. And for whatever reason, it made your heart sing.
You exercised for about an hour, focusing more on your hand to hand combat. Your fists had become great friends with the black, shiny, vinyl punching bag. Your foot reaching up to make the occasional greeting as well. You were satisfied, and were quick to shower and shuffle into your uniform before attempting to leave unnoticed. You even went so far as to shut off the lights again; bestowing the gift of giving light to the kingdom once again. And with elegance and a smidge of grace, you exited the gym, making sure it locked behind you.
You were relieved. It seemed the luck that you were sure had run dry, flowed abundantly from the well in which you drew it from. That was until you turned the corner and ran straight into the Shield himself. Your body collided square into his, and since he was built like a brick wall, you were the one who came tumbling towards the floor, bag falling right after you.
With your eyes wrenched shut, you waited for the tile floor to connect with your ass. However a set of strong hands and arms seemed to effortlessly keep you from meeting such a demise. "I am so sorry," you sputtered, those arms were tight around your frame and you swore the corridor had shot up in temperature. You were caught, yet again and this time, he had you detained.
You squinted your tightly wired eyes open, to catch the amused grin that seemed to grow on Gladio's face. God you were so close to him, and you were growing ever more nervous by the way his large hands fanned across your lower back. Sheepishly, you forced your hands to rest on his chest before pushing yourself away. "Sorry for running into you—" your eyes glued to your feet. You recognized the emptiness in your hand, fingers groping helplessly at the air.
"Don't worry about it… No name." His voice held a drip of malice, but nothing warranting terrible dread. To say you were shocked he didn't can you right then and there— was an understatement; Considering the hundreds of things you had said that not a single soul in the Citadel had the kahunas to say. But that is what always set you apart. You partly wished it was some other weird quirk or anything else besides your sharp tongue and lack of a filter— to put it mildly. "I assume you trained today…" There came the tone of accusation, as he bent down and found your bag. He tugged it from the ground and held it to his side.
"Nonsense," you chided, "I just carry that around for show." You tried to swipe the handles of your bag from his hand, however he tugged it away before your fingers had the second to touch it.
"Yeah? and the keycard. You get that by stealing it? Let me guess… just for show too right?" He parried back, thick eyebrow crawling up his forehead. The smirk he held attempted to cut you down. However, you were like a strong, unmoving reed. It would take more then a sharp glare and smirk to wither your resolve. You straightened your posture.
"I am not a thief," you met his gaze, throwing back your own unique look— Quirked eyebrow accompanied by a less then amused scowl. "I am an upstanding citizen, thank you very much. Just a citizen who enjoys alone time, much like you enjoy harassing people." You shot your hand out again to try and retrieve your belongings. Again, he moved it from your reach and now held it behind him.
The fire that raged behind your eyes seemed to match his to the exact caliber. However, yours burned with irritation, while his seemed to fall on the side of amusement. "Then how did you get it?"
"A legal way, as far as you are concerned. Just give me back my shit." You sighed, trying to side step him and take the bag that dangled carelessly through his loose, thick fingers. He evaded your attempt once again, and shook his head.
"Give me your name first." His demand was simple, and it would be simple to give it to him. It wasn't like you didn't know it. Hell, you lived your whole life with it. But there was something called pride that struck within your chest— and the idea that he very well could come after you with the knowledge of your name. And the nightmare that seemed to boil in the back of your mind would grow into a bitch of an unsatisfactory situation. The last thing you wanted to be looking at was a paper of your forced resignation or termination.
"I told you, I don't have one. Unless you have a hearing problem," you quipped back, hands finding their way to rest on the swell of your hips.
"I don't see what's so difficult-"
"Everything. I need to go to work, so my things, please." Sure your words were polite, but the way they fell from your lips showed everything but politeness. And how it felt sliding from your tongue made you wish to swallow them back up— but there was no time to back track now. You were too far deep. You stretched your had out to accept the bag.
He looked you over before slowly handing your bag back to you, handles depositing into your outstretched palm. "You are a piece of work. Better hope no one else catches you. They won't be so lenient." You were shocked once again by him. His benevolence did not trickle onto the side of cocky, nor did it expect you to sing his praises. It simply was a warning, You're off the hook.
He held your gaze for a moment longer; amber eyes challenging you. You were never one to give in easily. With a coy smile, you bubbled a trite goodbye and thank you before shuffling around him.
You kept your face and focus solely on getting away from him again, like a cat that just used up one of it's nine lives. Surely your luck would run dry. But you were determined to try the line until it had.
You were too focused on escaping to notice Gladio, turning to watch as you left— smile upon his lips.
Work had seemed to drag on slowly. The post you were assigned was a boring one and rather slow. However, you always found ways to keep yourself entertained-- Your mind trailing back without your say so, to that morning, in Gladio's arms. And strangely enough, your heart seemed to palpitate faster than it usually had. The idea that he could have, and probably should have let you bust your tail bone on the ground, seemed to toy with your heart. It ignited long past dead sparks to pop within your stomach and chest. He could have turned you in, he had you in his grasp-- most literally.
But he didn't. And that rested with you for the entirety of your 12 hour shift. He let you live another day.
The next day you had caught a group of girls fawning over someone in the hallway outside the briefing room. They were gasping about his height, his rippling pectorals, don't even mention his eyes. He was a dreamboat, and they died and went to heaven. "He was searching for someone," one of them said.
"Searching?" another questioned,
"Yeah! For a glaive, at least that's the rumor! A girl maybe!"
The description was enough for your stomach to flip and your blood to turn cold. Here they think this "Dreamboat" is on the prowl for a new squeeze. However, he was in hot pursuit of a supposed bandit with too high of access for her rank. And now he was infiltrating your home base. The act of kindness was surely just a front. It wouldn't be long now until you were looking for new jobs, or arrested for trespassing or treason.

Wet, Wet, Wet: Gladiolus Amicitia x Reader (Implied!NSFW)
You swore you could feel the icy cold water becoming steam as soon as it hit your heated face. You kept your trembling hand on the handle for the shower’s temperature, waiting as patiently as you could before you would come to your senses and heat up the water to your usual temperature.
But you knew that won’t happen for a while.
Fury bubbled inside of you, raging and roaring like a rabid behemoth that needed to be put down for good. You knew you shouldn’t let your emotions get the best of you, yet your anger still had some control over your body, and the icy cold water drizzling down onto you did not help that much.
You hung your head low, letting out shaky breaths as you tried your best to regain your calm, but the blistering tears felt like fire against your chilly cheeks, and soon, your fiery anger turned to agonizing tears and sadness.
You cursed under your breath, suddenly realizing that your body was shivering worse than a terrified child, turning the knob to heat up the water. You hiccuped, cupping a hand over your trembling mouth as you pressed your body against the wet shower wall. Steam had quickly clouded your vision, the whole bathroom going just a bit dimmer, no thanks to some of the lightbulbs above the mirror and sink had gone out earlier.
But you could still hear the mountain of a man outside of the bathroom, and that’s what scared you the most.
You knew Gladiolus would never become abusive towards you. Angry, yes; pissed, sometimes; but abusive was never the case. But deep down in the far reaches of your mind, you thought that maybe, just maybe, he would kick down the bathroom door with something harmful in his hands.
You peeked out from the shower curtain, eyeing the door once more to make sure it was shut, nodding to yourself as you bit your lip, you ducked back inside of the shower.
You shook your head, lathering soap on your wet body, scrubbing away the day’s grime and sweat that had caked upon your person, whimpering to yourself about how stupid and childish you were.
You had only wished to the astrals that they would grant you a wish to go back in time to stop yourself from picking a fight with Gladio.
But now, you most likely ruptured your strong relationship. He was probably stomping around out there, gathering all of his things to leave you.
You wouldn’t blame him for the things that were said.
But even as you scrubbed away at your body, wanting to just scratch away all of your insecurities as well as your person overall, you still prayed that Gladio would stay and you both would talk about this like civil adults.
As you drifted off into the deepest thoughts of your mind, you suddenly screamed as the door slammed opened and smacked against the tiled wall.
You trembled, cowering against the wall, lowering yourself to the ground as you saw him through the near-opaque shower curtains. He was massive, especially in such a small bathroom. You were always amazed at how he roamed around it when he would stay over at your apartment, how easily the large muscular man just seemed to navigate in the small space. But now, that size was intimidating, terrifying, you felt like a child against him, like you were some baby anak and he was the big bad behemoth that was going to get you. You whimpered when he threw the curtains to the side, nearly on the verge of passing out when he grabbed at your shoulders and pulled you close to him.
You were dumbfounded, shock taking over your face as you pulled away from him.
But just as you managed to peel yourself away from Gladio’s strong grip, Gladio brought you back in with a kiss planted right on your lips.
You turned your head to the side, shakily taking a deep breath as he stepped into the shower with you, water soaking his person which you had just realized he was completely naked as well. He blocked off either side of your person, muscular arms keeping you in front of him.
“Do you have any idea how much you drive me insane?” he growled. You didn’t answer, still somehow afraid of the man. He had moved one arm to grasp at your chin and jaw, turning your head to have you look at him. You could barely see his molten amber eyes through the wet locks of chocolate brown hair that stuck to his chiseled face. “You drive me so fucking insane, it’s crazy. And I fucking love it.”
He pushed you back against the wall as he captured you with another kiss.
“Gladio,” you murmured.
He shushed you softly, hands grasping at the sides of your head.
“Let me show you how much I love you,” he pleaded, holding your head straight as to look into his soul, “please.”
You glanced at him, still softly panting, contemplating your own answer before you opened your mouth…

Gladio knew how badass you were; knew that when you set your mind to something, it would be an uphill battle trying to talk you out of it. That’s why he rarely tried talking you out of things -- he knew he’d lose, and probably get the silent treatment from you afterwards.
But there were certain things that he wasn’t willing to let you go through with. Namely, things that included you being the distraction for him and the others.
“I’m not letting you do that,” Gladio growled, his grip on your arm tightening. “What if something went wrong? What if I can’t get to you in time?”
You turned to the shield with a little smirk.
“I can tell you what you can do, Gladio,” you cooed. His amber eyes went wide, his grip on you loosening. “You can bury me with both middle fingers up.”
