Ok I have this hc that I want to share, spider grew up basically having constantly people around (most ignored him, but still…) so he’s not used to being alone or too much silence. So in the cell room one of the things that freaked him out the most was the complete silence

yes, all of that, but also, even when he was alone, he was still out in the wilderness, he was around nature, there was always some sort of sound around him. so to be put in a tiny metal box where all he could hear was the sound of his breath and his pulse in his ears, would have been a whole new level of torture. I also think it was probably cold in there, another thing he was most likely not used to. it was like sensory torture and deprivation all at once.
