But as soon as Eddie realises how much it has, Tommy has hurt Buck, he just sees red.

He starts ranting about, "How could Tommy have done this? Does he not know how amazing you are. I mean your...... continues with a list of Eddie basically showering Buck with compliments about how amazing he is, how he's great with kids, and treats chris like his own. Until it gets to the point where eddie is so carried away that he doesnt realise that he is pretty much confessing his love to Buck. Bucks just sat listening to Eddie whilst having his 'oh' in italics moment.

Or Eddie realises afer he's finished having his rant that he's in love with his best friend and Buck is absolutely oblivious.

I feel like one of them should be oblivious to the others feelings for at least a while no matter how obvious the other is making it. So we get a "for God's sake I live you you idiot" or

"are you flirting with me?" "I have been for a while but thanks for noticing" moment

I don’t know why, but there is something so deeply special about the “you know I’m in love with you? Right?” trope to me. It’s the only miscommunication trope I genuinely enjoy. There is just something about the way a character just stares at their love interest in exasperation or confusion and points out the blatantly obvious thing between them. Whether they scream it out in frustration, or say it in a deadpan manner or even with a little laugh and tilt of the head. Just looking at someone, realizing what do I have to lose at this point? And just saying “Dude, you have to know I’m in love with you, right?” My heart does a little flutter every time.

Random thought: The Hargreeves siblings must have been extremely disoriented when they moved out.

They had been basically sheltered from the outside world, only encountering it when sneaking out or on missions. For their entire life, their robot Mom cooked for them, did their laundry (Klaus only mentions having to do laundry as a punishment), never had to worry about money or socialising with other people.

Don‘t give me the Hargreeves siblings in their 30s, all adjusted.

Give me a young Diego, having to pay the bills for the first time.

Give me a young Klaus, not having a bed to sleep in.

Give me a young Viktor, not knowing how to talk to strangers because he never had to.

Give me a young Allison, being overwhelmed by being surrounded by people and yet still feeling alone.
