Winter Evening 💜
Summary The thirteen children of Nozel and Vanessa prepared a little cosy evening for their parents...
A/N For @chaptersonetoinfinity A little something for Christmas, about our 1313 AU we fooled around on Discord 💜 Evanna and Felix are @chaptersonetoinfinity's OCs, Nymphea, Valentina, Lavinia and Cassandra are mine, the rest we created together

“Are they coming, Valentina?”
“Hush, Lunabug, we are all excited, but keep quiet.”
“Aquila, have you seen Gwen?”
“She is still in her basket, don’t worry about her, Nymphea. But have seen Fefe? Wait, Felix, don’t crawl to the fireplace!”
“Don’t worry, big brother, I got him!”
“Thank you, Nat. Where is Aimée.”
“Still in her crib in the chamber, Giselle went to get her.”
“I’m back already, Lavinia. With the baby sister.”
Vanessa couldn’t help but giggle, her ear against the door of the little lavender salon, listening to all of her thirteen children doing whatever they were doing.
Still wondering why all of her babies had in mind, they’ve been in the lavender salon for… three hours or maybe just two? She couldn’t tell. But she couldn’t wait to see it. What Vanessa gathered from what she heard was that it might be some kind of surprise for Nozel and her.
Weren’t her babies the cutest?
Vanessa tried very hard to hold back her giggle, which would lead to her babies catching her. Okay, she still called all of them her babies, but only Felix, Gwendolyn and of course little Aimée were technically still the babies. The rest of them were all older, from toddler or little child to teenager. Nymphea, Valentina and Aquila even already old enough to have their grimoires so very soon already.
Time flew by so fast somehow and yet…
“Vanessa?”
“Oh, hey there, honey. How were the nobles?”
Nozel made a face, a clear indicator how awful it still was to deal with nobles, despite the current changes over the years. With first Fuegoleon and lately Asta as Wizard King, the legacy Julius Novachrono started was now clearly getting more in place, step by step. Even though some other things might never change despite the best efforts. Like snob and arrogant nobles badmouthing everyone to look better, even royalty, but still trying to get some favour from said royalty.
Something Vanessa had to learn to deal with ever since she married Nozel and became a royal. Despite being a witch and nobles trying to remember her that – as she had to be ashamed to be a witch – nobles also tried to flatter her in order to gain something from the Silvas.
Good thing that Vanessa was a master about dealing with flattery from arrogant nobles. Quite the skill needed as a royal.
“You know, I could have helped you facing the nobles, honey.”
“Normally I would have let you accompany me. But it was for born Silvas only apparently, that’s why Nebra, Solid and Noelle were with me. But… we all need time with our own families after this.”
Vanessa nodded, this sounded about right. Although she would argue that Nebra and Zora would have peace in their wild family or Noelle knowing some rest with her loud family were only her daughter was calm.
Well, luckily for him, it seemed that their children were currently preparing something…
“Where are our children?”
“Behind this door. I think they have something in mind for us. Aren’t our babies true angels?”
Nozel smiled, clearly agreeing with her. Vanessa moved a bit, so that he could hearing at the door as well.
While their children were still preparing something in the little Lavender Salon, Vanessa took a moment to admire her husband. Nozel was in his forties, but nothing in his appearance was showing it. It was like he didn’t age at all during all those years they’ve been married. As handsome as ever.
Vanessa look down at her body. As strange as it was, barely anything was showing that she got pregnant twelve times and gave birth to thirteen children. Even more that for most of those pregnancies, it went well.
Except for the twins, but that had been her fault for going the war in Spade while pregnant. She almost died, her unborn babies almost died and all of three were only healed mostly because Nozel dared to face the Witch Queen in order to save them. Thankfully, Nymphea and Valentina were born on term and healthy.
The period when Vanessa was expecting Evanna wasn’t peaceful as well. But that was because of her so-called father-in-law who stressed the family so much that Vanessa gave birth two months too early, resulting that Evanna had a very frail health during her first years. Thankfully, her sweet girl was better healthwise today and jerky father-in-law was now rotting in prison in a faraway country.
The pregnancy with Aimée had also been quite hard, but Vanessa suspected that it was because her own body was getting at its limits after twelve pregnancies. Nozel and her had agreed to definitely stop after their thirteenth little one was born. Besides, Aimée was born right on their wedding anniversary, earlier this year in September, how wonderful was that?
“What are you thinking about?”
“Nothing, handsome.”
“Vanessa…”
“Just kidding, honey. I was just thinking that we are so very blessed to have all of our thirteen sweethearts, don’t you think?”
Nozels eyes started to shine, the lavender shade somehow sparkling with thousands stars, despite his mimic not changing.
“Vanessa… there is no single day passing without me being grateful to have you and our children in my life.”
“Aren’t you the poet today.”
“I… I mean…*
“Oh, honey, no need to be flustered. I will never grow tired of your poetic words and we’ve been married for way over a decade.”
The blush was still on his cheeks, but he smiled at her. Just so handsome…
Vanessa slowly moved towards him, with a clear intention to kiss him, as the door of the salon opened, revealing Nathanael.
“Oh, you are here already? Good, so we don’t need to fetch you. But you can still kiss first.”
Nozel blushed and Vanessa couldn’t help but feel a bit hot as well. Nathanael just grinned before inviting them in.
The already cosy room was now filled with as much fluffy blankets their family had – which was a lot – mugs and pots with hot chocolate, cookies in bowls and the famous Silva pastries. A nice fire was burning in the fireplace, with cushions all around it.
Like everything in this salon, most things were in different shades of purple, with some white and silver grey, plus a few blue and pink shades, with some hues of burgundy. Kinda fitting colours for their family.
Vanessa took Nozels as they entered the room, smiling fondly as she saw all of her thirteen children stop their movements to look at their parents, a bit flustered but certainly happy to see them.
Nymphea had baby Aimée in her arms, who was so adorable in her lavender purple onesie with silver turtle on the front. The silver hair of their oldest and youngest daughters looked like melted into each other. They were already so similar, even sharing their fathers blank stare sometimes, just with different shades of purple in their eyes.
Valentina hold two year old Felix in her shoulders, rocking a softly back and forth, making her baby brother laugh.
Gwendolyn was now in Aquilas arms waggling her arms to her parents and Aquila looked like hesitating to still carry his baby sister or to let her crawl to them.
Giselle had already drank some cocoa, a fine brown moustache above her lips. Vanessa felt her heart going warm as she saw that her fourth child was hugging Gargantua, the big grey chunky cat plushie she had made while she was pregnant with Giselle. Years were passing, yet Giselle still adored that cat so much.
Lavinia was sitting at piano, smiling shyly at Nozel and Vanessa. Their music loving daughter had always been the most timid out of their children.
Nathanael closed the door behind them, before joining Cassandra and Evanna, who were sitting in front of the fireplace. Those two had always been so closed, often it seemed that they were glued to each other.
Luna smiled at them – Vanessa was still impressed how much this girl looked like Mimosa, just with silver hair and lavender eyes – one of her favourite dolls on her lap.
And finally, their tenth child, Aisling, who run towards them and practically hugged Nozels legs. Vanessa smiled at her. This little one looked so alike as Noelle or even Acier but with Vanessas hair and eye colours, which would probably always make Nozel emotional. Not to mention that he was the one who helped Vanessa deliver Aisling, in his own office at the Silver Eagles base even.
Her babies… the ten girls and the three boys…
“Mama, are you crying?”
“I’m just getting emotional, Nat. All of my babies… Oh come here, you puffy haired cutie pie!”
No time to escape, as Vanessa took Nathanael into her arms, along with Cassandra and Evanna. Not even a protest, of course not. All of her sweethearts loved hugs just as much as she did, if not even more.
“Is there any reason for this assembly?” Nozel asked as he took Aisling into his arms, letting her play happily with the fur of his Silver Eagle robe.
“Not really, papa,” Valentina smiled fondly, Felix still on her shoulders. “Just having a cosy winter evening, all fifteen of us. We know that nobles were a real pain lately and our parents deserve some relaxing time. Besides-, OUCH, Fefe, don’t pull my hair, you silly bunny.”
“Sorry, Val.”
Vanessa giggled as she sat next to Nathanael, Cassandra and Evanna. Weren’t her children just the sweetest ever? Okay, she was their mother and she loved them to infinity, she was clearly biased. But feeling that her own children loved her and their father so much that they would make sure they got relaxing moments to rest. Plus, they did this together… again, she was most certainly biased, but Vanessa couldn’t know any siblings that were such a strong team for anything than her babies.
“That is sweet of you, babies. Mama and papa won’t say no to have some cosy evening with you, right honey?”
“Certainly not.”
“But only Fefe, Gwen and Aimée are babies, the rest of us aren’t. Nymphea, Valentina and Aquila are even going to have their grimoires pretty soon.”
“Hush, Cat, you will always be my babies,” Vanessa giggled as she booped Cassandras nose.
It was true, though. Her three oldest babies will soon get their grimoires and either become Magic Knights or choose something else for their lives. Oh, her twin girls and her eldest son seemed rather inclined to join the Silver Eagles so far, but still…
Time was flying by and now the three oldest would soon reach the age were they could start to fly on their own.
Vanessa shared a glance with Nozel. Her beloved husband had the same thought as her. Yet, it still feel like yesterday as she gave birth to the twins on Valentine’s Day and to Aquila later that same year in December.
Were fifteen years soon over already?
“Don’t worry, Cat,” Valentina just said, putting Felix on the floor who toddled over to Giselle. “It’s still a while before the three of us will have our grimoires and it’s not like we’ll see each other never again afterwards. We twins and the oldest baby brother won’t miss our baby siblings.”
“Val, don’t call me baby brother, I was born in the same year as you and Nymphea.”
“Still younger by ten months, but okay.”
“We’ll always have each other…”
The smile was heard in Nozels whisper and he probably talked as much to them all as to himself. Having their happy family meant so much more to him anyone could imagine, especially after the tragedy he lived when he was barely older than the twins and Aquila. Vanessa knew that there had been a time during which Nozel never would have thought and even accept that he deserve happiness.
And yet, here he was, married to her and the father for thirteen wonderful children.
She smiled at him. And he smiled back.
“Lavinia, sweetheart, wouldn’t you mind playing some of your new music for us?”
“No, mama.”
The voice was shy, of course, but Lavinias eyes shined like a sky full of stars at the suggestion. Nothing made this girl happier than music and her family, as if it was all she asked for in her life.
As the sweet piano melodies filled the room, it felt as if a blanket of happy rest fell upon all.
Nymphea handled Aimée to Vanessa, since the baby was now starting to whine a bit, a clear indicator she wanted to be fed.
While Vanessa breastfed Aimée, Nozel now put Aisling on her feet and took Gwendolyn into his arms, who crawled over to him. Aquila gave them a mug of hot chocolate and all four joined Lavinia at the piano.
Nathanael, Cassandra and Evanna cuddled around Vanessa, Nat even booped Aimée a bit.
Felix was now cuddled by Giselle who gave him a slice of chocolate cream cake, putting a moustache around his cute little mouth.
Nymphea joined Luna, put her little sister on her lap and read with her, while Valentina went around, making sure everyone had hot chocolate and something sweet to eat.
Outside, it actually started to snow as it went darker, yet it made the atmosphere in the room even more relaxing.
It was cosy, comfortable, warm.
It was their family.

honeyed hues watched carefully as the other female steps closer, the sincerity in her voice softening the walls melody had built around her fears. she takes a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. "are you sure you can handle that? i mean, it's not just about keeping things a secret," the brunette murmured, her voice trembling slightly. "it’s about managing all the risks and consequences that come with it. and it’s not just about me anymore, it’s about you too."
giselle's confidence wavers, never wishing - nor willing - to somehow further damage the other's already delicate reputation. whilst none of it made sense to giselle, it mattered to melody and that was enough for her to take it seriously. "we're smart, aren't we?" she tests the waters, taking one uncertain step closer, still hopeful that this doesn't have to end in despair. "we can make sure they never find out. take...precautions. i don't mind being your little secret, mel..."

‘A preview to hell’: The year Brazil woke up to the climate crisis
Last weekend, Brazil experienced its ninth heat wave of the year, with 15 states on alert due to high temperatures. These are the last blows of a year that’s on track to be the hottest in history.
In Brazil, since July, all average temperature records have been broken, month after month, according to the National Institute of Meteorology. The residents of Irajá – a neighborhood in the northern part of Rio de Janeiro – know this well. In recent years, the neighborhood has earned the reputation of being the hottest in the city. Here, less than 20 miles from the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, the sea breeze isn’t even noticeable, while trees are scarce. This district has nothing to do with the exuberant tropical city plastered all over the postcards for tourists.
On one corner, Giselle Silva sells sardines in boxes packed with ice. Every day, she slathers herself in SPF-80 sunscreen, to work under an umbrella. Despite the shadow, she always ends up burned. “The most stressful thing is the heat: it’s unbearable. It’s gotten a lot worse in recent years. Let me tell you: this is a preview to hell. This summer is going to be terrible,” she says resignedly.
The residents of Irajá know very well that the scorching sun isn’t an isolated phenomenon. “For me, deforestation in the Amazon is the primary reason,” says Waldir Cavalcante, a taxi driver. He’s sitting on a plastic chair next to the door of an air-conditioned supermarket, to feel some relief. His taxi spends the day parked on the opposite sidewalk, in full sun. It doesn’t get even a little shade until four in the afternoon, the owner notes. He remembers a childhood in a very different neighborhood, with dirt roads and many more trees. Nowadays, Irajá is a sea of asphalt.
Heat waves in the cities, the extreme drought that has dried up the rivers of the Amazon, or the floods in the south of the country are all extreme climatic events that have been multiplied this year, as a result of El Niño. This phenomenon warms the environment naturally, but specialists warn that it’s increasingly intense due to climate change. For the director of the Climate and Society Institute (iCS), María Netto, the increase in the frequency and intensity of environmental catastrophes is something that has come to stay. But that’s not all. “There are impacts that aren’t so perceptible, that are growing little by little, such as the increase in temperature, or the variation in the frequency of rain, which [are factors that] have an enormous impact on agriculture and people’s quality of life. These impacts,” she continues, on the phone with EL PAÍS, “especially affect the most vulnerable people.”

BIOGRAPHY
tw: drug mention, alcoholism, abortion
also tw I say “daddy” one billion times and I’m so sorry that’s just what Joselia would say
Daddy was always a free spirit. He and Mama married young– him 17 and her 16– and he promised her the world. He painted a beautiful picture of a long, successful career as a football player, a big move to America, and a life where she seldom had to lift a finger. But Gisele Lopes Silva was always more grounded than her husband. She didn’t want all of that, really, just a man who loved her and happy kids. Still, Daddy was determined to shoot for the stars and, in the end, he landed pretty close. Roberto Silva qualified for the Campeonato Brasileiro Series at 19 and he swore up and down it was a straight shot to US Nationals from there. Mama got pregnant with Roberto Jr. that winter, 1984, and five years later in 1989 they had Miguel. With two babies, Mama’s asking Daddy to retire and get a real job graduated from passing remarks to deadpan questions to begging.
They were doing okay, what with Grandma helping with the boys while Mama worked, but Gisele was wise. She knew it wouldn’t last long. Besides, she’d rather have Daddy around the kids than him be some big, international soccer star. It was a fight she didn’t have the energy for but every now and then, and Daddy became an expert at weasling out of it– bringing home expensive gifts, magazines about life in America, VHS tapes of sitcoms. Money was tight, though, and it was Daddy’s magic-making that made the room dividers in the living room that hid Jr.’s cot feel enchanted, like a portal to another world instead of a family bursting at the seams. In retrospect, Jr. says Mama resented him even then. She was caught in the trap of working all day in the factory and coming home to cook and clean, all the while the boys tugged on Daddy’s pant legs and clamored on top of him and asked to hear the story of his trip to San Fransisco for the hundredth time.
Mama says that having Joselia in 1993 changed everything. She was finally getting somewhere with Daddy– touting the baby, the only girl, as the reason why he should quit chasing this crazy dream and get a real job. Settle down and give them all the life they deserved. Of course, the very next year was the beginning of the San Jose soccer club. The Earthquakes wanted Daddy on their inaugural team, and Daddy leaped at the chance to move to California– the land of opportunity. According to Daddy, getting recruited to the U.S. was the best thing that ever happened to him. Mama was just grateful that he finally got a kick in the ass to make something of himself. In 1994, the family migrated to San Jose to start their new life.
Daddy always talked about those first few years like they were something out of a fairytale– all blue skies and palm trees and balmy breezes. Long days of doing what he loved, coming home to a slice of Brazil in Mama’s cooking and Jr.’s singing and the artifacts they’d managed to bring with them. Mama isn’t so romantic about it all. Sure, it was nice to not be so strapped for cash. But it was lonely, she says– hardly anybody else spoke Portuguese, and Daddy was alright with his English but Mama struggled. She could hardly make it through trips to the grocery without aid, and she missed her mother. But, Daddy was happy, which had been the point all along, right?
Daddy’s first season with the Earthquakes was a building year– at least, that’s what all the players would say when they would crowd around the kitchen table, drinking and talking and making messes that Mama stayed up well into the night cleaning up. But the kids loved it, crowding around the table with wide eyes and hanging on every word they said. It was this way that Joselia learned English; When her kindergarten teacher wrote home and asked where she’d learned to say “damn it all to hell!”, Daddy just laughed and laughed and laughed.
Season two was better. By the end of it, everybody was talking about the Earthquakes, and Daddy was even named in a couple articles as a player to watch. That was 1996, a year he still calls the best of his life. Joselia remembers the whole family travelling to LA and Washington, DC and Dallas to see Daddy play. It was exactly what Daddy always promised– traveling the world, staying in fancy hotels, a balanced diet of stadium hot dogs and room service. Even Mama loosened up on their trips, had a glass or two of champagne and got giggly. It was like they were really in love, then. Life should’ve been like that forever– and it would’ve been, if Daddy hadn’t gotten injured.
Three games before the end of the 1997 season, an ill-timed slide tackle caused Daddy’s leg to break in two places. Mama, Jr., Miguel, and Joselia were watching from home, and everything instantly devolved into chaos. Mama screamed and immediately called the neighbor to come watch the kids while she rushed to the hospital. The three kids planted themselves in front of the TV, watching any and all coverage they could find on the local channels, and praying to every saint they knew.
Daddy put on a brave face, at first. He had high hopes, unreasonable expectations that he’d be as good as new after surgery. But then came the minimum two years of physical therapy, and by the time he was in any condition to run again, they were so far behind with medical bills that Mama put her foot down. He had to get a job– they had to get back on their feet before he started his crazy training regimen. His old teammates still came around back then, and one of them even pulled some strings and got Daddy a job as a daytime bartender at a pub near the training facility.
But there’s always a point in time where the sympathy runs out. People can’t hold pity forever. The guys stopped coming around, Coach stopped inviting him to closed practices. Mama was never gentle with him– she said that was that, it was time to move on. Find a new dream. Joselia wouldn’t know until much later, but underneath all of his bravado, Daddy was incredibly sensitive. He didn’t take to normal life well, and started mixing his pain meds with a few too many drinks. At first, it was an inconvenience. He would get too drunk and forget to pick up Jr. from school, he would leave Miguel an hour or two longer after school than he meant to. Most nights would end in whispered arguments behind Mama and Daddy’s door– Jr. learned to press a glass to the wood young, but he’d never tell Miguel and Joselia what was said unless it was really bad.
It got really bad when Joselia was in middle school. Jr. was twenty-one and still home, fulfilling the role of oldest child and peacekeeper while he saved up for college. Plus, the income he brought in from his grocery store job helped keep them afloat when Daddy overslept and missed his shifts, which was becoming more and more frequent. Jr. kept them together, with Miguel’s help– they would divide and conquer, Jr. going to Daddy and Miguel going to Mama. But when Daddy started gambling and they lost the apartment, Mama was done.
Joselia was thirteen when Mama moved them into a new apartment and refused to give Daddy the key. Jr. had to drag her, kicking and screaming, refusing to leave Daddy behind. She’d let him in at night, and Mama would wake her up yelling every morning that she woke up to discover him on the couch. He can’t be trusted! she would say, pleading with Joselia to keep him out. Everybody else had enough of his broken promises, except Jo. She loved him so much that she moved with him to Philly at fifteen, pledged the next decade of her life to following Daddy around, dreaming big dreams with him and picking him up when he fell.
It was difficult leaving Mama and her brothers behind, but Joselia was so hurt that they could be so cruel to Daddy that she buried the grief under anger. Life with him was the same as always– high highs and low lows. On good days, they’d catch a game in the city and share a hotdog and Daddy would tell Jo-Jo all about how he was gonna become a soccer coach. If you can’t do, you teach, he said, and she believed him. She always believed him, and that belief carried her through the bad days, when he would stumble home angry at four a.m., cursing her Mama and her Grandma and the world, vomit dribbling down his chin and too-heavy footsteps.
It took an extra year, but Joselia graduated high school. Her part-time waitressing job became full-time, and her steady paycheck made up for the weeks and months that Daddy was out of work. Mama sent money every couple months with express instructions not to let Daddy touch it– but she always did, and he always blew it on a scratch-off or a round for all his friends. He was chaos personified, but Joselia wasn’t afraid of his self-destruction. Mostly, she was afraid of who she’d be without his fantastical tales and his believing the best in her and his promises that he’d take care of her, one day.
Joselia met Matthew Foster in Philly, at a show for some grungy band she was just drunk enough to enjoy. Their whirlwind romance felt like home– the ups and downs, the unbridled passion and the teeming rage felt like what Joselia reckoned love was supposed to be. Daddy wasn’t consistent or stable, and he loved her more than anybody in the world– So must Foster. Midnight screaming matches faded into afternoon picnics and so on. He never said so, but Joselia knew he loved her– he showed it dozens of ways, whether by making the best food she’d ever eaten in her life (aside from stadium hotdogs, of course) or by buffing out the same dent in her car over and over from the damn apartment gate.
They were young and dumb and it felt like everything. Daddy hated him and loved him, depending on the day– and when things were going right for everybody and the three of them drank and watched Daddy’s old matches, well, that was the best feeling in the world. It was after one of those days and a couple of Foster’s custom-made cocktails that they decided to get married at the courthouse. They didn’t have a ring or a dress or a care in the world, and somewhere in a box covered in a thin layer of dust, Joselia has a picture from that day: her in one of Foster’s button downs and a Dodgers hat, him in his usual tshirt and jeans combo, all bright smiles hanging off one another.
Being married didn’t stave off the fighting at all. If anything, it made it worse– gave them each more ammunition to launch at each other, and made it a hell of a lot harder to untangle from the mess. They fell into a familiar pattern– a couple of good days, maybe a week, a fight where they swore they were broken up for good this time, and a couple days later they’d make up. Anything was fair game on these breaks– and it’s not like Joselia had a ring or anything to stop her from seeing other people, so she did. Nothing that stuck, but a couple one or two night flings before she surrendered to Foster’s gravitational pull again.
When Joselia found out she was pregnant after a week “off”, she panicked. She wasn’t going to tell Foster, she was just going to take care of it on her own– but they had such a good day, and she was half convinced they could make it work. They were perfect, they only fought so hard because they loved each other so much. He bolted after that, and in retrospect, she couldn’t blame him. Joselia still harbors that hurt on especially lonely nights, revisits the feeling of waking up and seeing his shit gone, the days-late realization that she’d never see him again.
But it was okay, because there was always Daddy to take care of, and with no Foster and no baby to distract her, Joselia poured all of her energy into him. She was twenty-five and working the same waitressing job she’d had since graduation, spending her weekends taking care of her drunk father– and with nothing else in Philly, reality stung. She started to resent Daddy the same way Mama always had– she resented being the stable one, she resented not being able to fall apart because it’d hurt them both when that’s all she really wanted to do.
A decade late, Joselia’s breaking point finally came when Daddy wrapped her truck around a streetlight. He survived, thank God, but he had a broken arm and a couple of years in jail and mandated therapy. With no other choice, Joselia made her way back to California and turned up on Mama’s doorstep, tail between her legs. The rush of apologies for years of hating her, of thinking Mama was selfish and wrong for abandoning Daddy, was crushed in her mother’s arms. She was home, for real this time, and reconnecting with Mama and Jr. and Miguel helped Joselia figure some things out.
It wasn’t perfect, and she still felt an unreasonable degree of protectiveness over Daddy– they kept in touch, between letters and phone calls– but Jo decided to enroll in college. Better late than never. She started at UC-Riverside and declared Social Work as her major, staying home with Mama until she graduated at 29. It was a big deal, because Jr. had enlisted at 22 and Miguel had gone to trade school. Joselia was the first in their family to graduate college, a fact that Daddy cried about on the phone the morning of her graduation– a fact she still holds with pride.
Her fresh start extended to Colorado Springs, where Joselia took her very first “real” job a year ago as an Addiction Counselor for a nonprofit serving unhoused and at-risk individuals. It was Jr.’s idea, originally, and Joselia ended up loving it– finally her life experience was helpful with something, and the tough love she always should’ve given to Daddy was a requirement. It’s such the perfect fit, in fact, that she was promoted after only a year and transferred to the Providence Peak location. Joselia was hesitant at first to leave Colorado Springs and the comfort of Jr. right down the street, but it was high time for her to forge her own path. She made it up to Philly one more time, to visit Daddy and to clear out the rest of her shit from a storage unit, and is now settling into her new routine.

Minha música é a essência do Carnaval carioca.
“Nunca me diverti tanto! Cantei, pulei, beijei.

ALEJANDRO SILVA age 41 height 5'10 face Diego Luna shipping: selective
About
Alejandro Silva is a businessman on the surface. In classic suits and a charismatic personality he appears to be like any wealthy man who made his climb on the heels of a family chain in automotive imports. His father was the head of a family owned dealership called The Coast, a throwback to the coast of Mexico where he was born. Alejandro has been head of this organization since his father’s passing. The Coast is a hot commodity in Night City offering the hottest and most sought after luxury vehicles for top buyers. Along with affordable vehicles for everyday people thriving in Night City. They also have a trade in exports/imports with overseas partners. Some of those cars are not exactly legal and the obvious underground market is a thing that he dabbles in the form of marketable street racing. Beneath the reputable business is the underlying criminality of Alejandro Silva’s name and reputation. A man who is seen as not someone to cross in this city. However he is an asset to have on your side if nothing else IF you can manage it. A suave criminal king pin with a penchant for being level head under pressure, Alejandro has a code he stands by. The regular people of the city are those he wants his organization to leave alone. The same cannot be said of his enemies.

Connections
Alejandro’s family roots go back to Mexico, of course where his father first branded his idea for The Coast. His family came to America and that is where his ideas took off. Today his father is unfortunately deceased, having suffered a heart attack when Alejandro was around 19 years old. His mother is still alive but not living in Night City. Family is a big deal for him but he has no children currently. He did take a young Ava Mendoza ( @ixonmaiden ) under his wing and has become an older brother to her over the years. His families connections with hers run deep, especially following the murder of her father Henry Mendoza.
Relationships may be a bit complicated. The man has been married twice. His first wife separated from him once she discovered his criminal activity. She realized The Coast was a front and not only filed for divorce but a restraining order against him. This definitely became a tumultuous divorce proceeding. He felt betrayed and that hurt him quite a lot. Currently he is married to a younger woman, a model for Glam Shell, Giselle Steele. However this is a canon that can be overlooked for potential shipping. Yet that will be selective and plotted if so. He is not closed to shipping though.

When I was a kid in the early 2000s we had one of those portable GPS units, which my mom named "Gisele Perreira da Silva". At the time we thought they were super cool but those early GPS units were terrible. Yes, google maps has its issues but they are a big improvement. The older units would take you to places you shouldn't/couldn't go to way too often and would lose connection every couple of minutes. All the while it would nag you for not doing the illegal maneuver it wanted you to do. Sometimes I still have flashbacks of my increasingly frustrated mother driving us around, yelling "GISELE FOR CHRIST SAKE GET IT TOGETHER, WOMAN!"
#I saw a Tumblr post on a Reddit post about GPS being weird but now I can't find the og post here#Anywaaaaay#Here's my addition#gps#google maps#childhood memories
