#rewatched enchanted and realized what this reminds me of #kingdom hearts #enchanted #the stereotypical fairytale expectation that is set up to be subverted #as the characters grow beyond classic disney tropes #these characters are Not on the same page anymore. if they ever really were #this scene also starts with an emphasis on robert and giselle’s connection #much like in kh the scene starts with an emphasis on riku and sora’s connection #relationships that have seen significant development #in contrast to those that are pretty static and rely heavily on trope expectations

I fucking HATE when I'm watching a period piece and all of the other characters have great historically accurate dresses and then the main character shows up and she's like wearing a spaghetti strap skims dress
