How about Roleswap! Auditore Family?
What happen if one of them (Giovanni, Petruccio, Federico or Claudia) takes the place of Ezio?
Like Ezio is one of the executed and Federico is the only Auditore man that survives?
Or Claudia is the only Auditore child left?
So let’s set some ground rules first.
Ezio can only replace one of them. This means that the only one of them will survive.
This does not take inconsideration what would happen to Desmond’s bloodline unless we set this as a time travel scenario where Desmond fucked up so badly he got Ezio killed instead. We’re focusing on the Auditores in this one.
.
Giovanni:
Giovanni would probably be angst-y as hell for one main reason. He watched all of his sons died, unable to save them because he trusted the wrong man. His relationship with Maria would take a serious hit and he’d grow to be overly protective of Claudia. He would probably choose to escape to Spain like Ezio did before Mario reminds him that he was being hunted. Even if he was to go elsewhere, the Templars will hunt him and his family down.
Another additional wrinkle in this one is that his relationship with the Medici could change as well. He could start to understand that his closeness with Lorenzo only made it so much easier for the Templars to find him and his family.
He would absolutely not hesitate to kill Rodrigo Borgia and the Apple would be able to tempt him as well.
.
Federico:
This would actually be the closest to Ezio’s story beat. The only real difference is that Federico would see himself as weak and a failure for being unable to save his father and brothers. He’d be more serious than Ezio and it would actually take less time for him to be trained as he was already in the middle of his Assassin training anyway.
He would also not hesitate to kill Rodrigo Borgia if given a chance. There would also be a scene with him and Cristina similar to the flashback in ACB. In this one though, Federico would apologize for being unable to save Ezio.
.
Petruccio:
Oh, man. We’re going to play with Petruccio a bit.
A situation we can use is that Petruccio learns of the Shroud and gets Claudia to help him find it. He uses the Shroud to heal his body but this has the dire consequence of awakening the Isu inside the Shroud that starts haunting him like his own personal Bleeding Effect hallucination. In this one, Petruccio is much more connected to the POEs because of the Shroud.
But you know what would be fun?
If Petruccio continues to have a weak body and replaces Claudia as the ‘administrator’ of Monteriggioni. But that’s what they want everyone to believe. Claudia becomes his knight while he becomes the mastermind hiding behind the huge shadows cast by their uncle. The death of his father and brothers shed whatever innocence he had left and he becomes a ruthless player, moving all the pieces in the board while pretending to just be a weak sickly young man. An inspiration that would guide Machiavelli’s hands in writing the Prince.
.
Claudia:
Honestly, Claudia would probably spend a year or more being lost. Her mother is catatonic, her father and brothers are dead, she only managed to get her mother out because her maid knew people who helped them and contacted her uncle to meet with them.
She wouldn’t even think of escaping to Spain. Where would they even stay there?
She knew that the best choice for her is to marry a powerful man who could protect her and her mother but, at the same time, she couldn’t even think of any man touching her without throwing up.
Learning the sword had been her way of trying to ‘heal’ herself. Mario saw her potential and taught her the ways of the Brotherhood.
She wanted revenge but, more importantly, she wanted to protect her mother and the second home that accepted them.
Honestly, out of all of them? Claudia would be the most ruthless of them all because she knows she can’t afford to be weak.
She can’t allow herself to be weak.

Day 17: GHOST
Tumblr media
"It is a good life we lead, brother" said Federico with uncharacteristic solemnity.
"The best" Ezio agreed. "And may it never change."
They both paused, neither wishing to break the perfection of the moment, but after a while Federico quietly spoke.
Tumblr media
"May it never change us either, fratellino."
•Oliver Bowden, Renaissance (Assassin's Creed, #1)
Based on the easter egg from the videogame, where Ezio visits his home after the death of his brothers and father. (Click me ᕙ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕗ)
I used a black cardboard to represent the eagle's vision, the pencils helped to outline the silhouettes but it didn't let me do more details than just tracing.

The Precursors Ring
AC prompt
——
Desmond wakes up 500 years in the past to the entirety of the Auditores looking at him in varying degrees of horror, and finds himself limp in Giovani’s arms as he struggles to catch his breath, in, plot twist, a very female body.
——
Note- I really like the idea of petruccio being the one to figure out that Desmond is being possessed. Not that he knows Desmond’s name, to the entirety of the family he’s known as Emilia, Federico’s one night stand from when they still resided in Florence, who escaped with them, pregnant with Federico’s bastard son, Emilio (Elijah).
While I enjoy the idea of Desmond being possessed by Juno, it’s probably going to have to be someone else unless Desmond brought a second copy of Juno with him, so as to not interfere with the greater story, since Juno would be trapped in the ring and as a result she would not able to connect with the apple.
Sooo, different isu.
Let’s say the ring has some weird properties so Desmond isn’t recognized in any capacity. (Since this will be taking place in Monteriggioni, and Mario would recognize him (I.e statue of Altair)). The ring alters its wearer’s form to resemble the isu inhabiting it. This particular isu’s name is something resembling Emilia, and as a result, they decide to name the child after them(because that’s how self-centred they are). Problem, the boy comes out looking nothing like either her or Federico, cue some doubts of paternity.
Basically, this isu, come alive once more, decides to attach themselves to the Auditore in an effort to more or less leech off of them, in the meanwhile they search for others (templars and other isu) and seek other PoE’s. They decide to make their attachment permenant by getting pregnant, and so baby Emilio is born (this would be after what would have been the Auditore execution, but, as they were warned by…someone in time, they escaped). Obviously a baby’s features don’t pop out much when they’re newborn, so they play happy family until he gets a little older and some things don’t quite add up.
Emilio looks like neither of them. He’s paler than Desmond, but darker than the isu’s modifications, and his features resemble that of a weird culmination of Desmond and Haytham (cuz I think it’d be funny.)
So put those two together and you got a kid who looks nothing like the alterations done to Desmond’s body (I.e Emilia) or Federico.
Cue paternal doubt and Federico pulling away, (alongside the rest of his family) and Petruccio being the only one to really visit the kid and, as a result, his mother. -
Petruccio was not one to judge, but there were times when he’d look at the shadows of his eldest brother’s eyes and question his sanity. Federico haunted himself with doubts of the Emilio’s paternity, when one proper look at the boy would be enough to clear up any doubts he had.
Emilio, for all the difference in his features, acted far too much like his grandmother for there to be any doubt, from the way the babe held himself, to the way he spoke his quiet little words with precision and grace spoke volumes.
Not that the rest of his family listened to what he had to say.
So alone he went, day after day to the wing of his uncle’s manor where Emilio resided alongside his mother, and day after day he watched them both as he played and entertained and enjoyed the company of his darling nipote who was far too intelligent for an average babe of 5 years.
While Emilio reads and writes and entertains himself, Petruccio would let his eyes wander to Emilia, with her grey bluish eyes, she would look cold and cruel the majority of the time, but on rare occasions, Petruccio would see.
He would notice the subtle moments where her calculating demeanour would change, soften. She would look kind, and look so very very lovely, with her beautiful brown honey eyes, it never ceased to take his breath away.
When Petruccio gains his sight, it’s the result of Emilia’s half mumbled instructions from the early visits he’d make just as the sun rose. The first time had been the result of a rush, meant to distract her from interrupting the mysterious guests his uncle had over. Petruccio had seen her half lidded honey eyes, and the sweet mumbles she had let out against Emilio’s temple. From that day forward, Petruccio would visit early, to catch whatever glimpses he could of the honey-eyed Emilia, regardless of the impropriety of his actions.
It is Petruccio who notices the way the blue of her being blooms in those early mornings and is suffocated away the more she awakens by the red emanating from the gold-gold ring within the grey world.
Petruccio learns more and more listening to Emilia with her brown-brown eyes and her soft smiles. He learns the meaning of the colours, he learns the orgins of the sight. He learns what the pieces of eden can do.
It’s no surprise that the minute he realizes, he launches himself across the dining table at Emilia, her cold grey eyes widening in horror when she meets his gold ones, realizing that the farce is truly up.
The demon possessing the girl, not 3 years older than him, struggles as he foists her to the ground in an attempt to grapple at her arms. His brothers are on their feet, yelling; his mother angry and worried; his father demanding and Claudia screaming. Petruccio ignores it all, even as Emilia manages to grab a hold of the knife and lunges toward him.
Her arm freezes before it can hit him, her left eye browns and she lets out an agonizing scream in time for Ezio to slap away the knife from her hand. Federico pulls Petruccio away from Emilia as their father vaults over the table and pulls her into a hold.
Everyone is still screaming. Claudia and mother demand answers, and little Emilio is still within zio Mario’s arms as he watches his mother writhe in his grandfather’s arms, listening, knowing.
“The ring!” Petruccio cries as he tries to wretch himself from Federico’s grip. “Pull the ring off of her! It’s a piece of Ede-“
Emilia’s cries crescendo, Ezio is pale, eyes a shining gold as he too sees the pulses of red and blue surrounding her. Blue overtaking the red only to be consumed by the crimson colour over and over and over again.
“Get. It. Off.” She grits out as soon as what seems like a wave of agony overtakes her.
She meets his eyes and he strengthens his struggle. Her eyes are a pained thing. They look agonizingly at him, and Petruccio sags as the pretty brown fog with grey. Federico’s grip on him lessens before Petruccio was ripping himself free from his arms to rush her once more. His brother is quick, but he moves quicker as he grasps onto her hand and pulls the ring clean off.
His ears ring as the ring lets out an unholy screech as it tumbles to the ground just a few feet away.
Alike to that of a puppets strings being cut, Emilia went limp in his father’s arms, her pretty brown eyes never straying from his.
Ezio let out a gasp, and Petruccio was not far behind him as he watches as Emilia features fade, no, sharpen, he silently corrects.
A scar presents itself across her lips, much like that of Ezio’s, her nose points, her cheeks tighten, and her jaw sharpens. Emilia’s tone darkens. Even as her skin flushes with fever.
Her eyes are unfocused, but brighten more and more with the shimmer of pure gold, brighter than that of Ezio’s and far far brighter than any shine Petruccio and anyone else in his family could make.
Blue, he notes as he watches her eyes close and the tension remaining in her limp body bleeds out.
The smell of smoke has his head turning and Petruccio looks on as the ring burns a hole into the dining room floor.
Mother would not be pleased.
The ring screams on.

I bet an Auditore family vacation would be chaotic lol
Oh definetly! It would end with Claudia refusing to talk to any of them, Ezio being grounded, Federico would be getting harder training assigments for a month. Petruccio is ok but would have a heatstroke that gave all of them a scare. Giovanni has a headache and Maria just is like "I knew this would happen"
Claudia would try to find a hot guy she can obsess over during the holiday and Ezio would do the same w girls but also block Claudia's flirting attempts (one of the reason she is mad at him). Maria stays with Petruccio to actually relax and they take short walks but Gio would also join while there. Federico would go exploring and not come back till midnight and if he had not, join Ezio on annoying their sister and go shopping to also try to buy her forgiveness. Gio and Federico probobly would leave earlier than the others bc "duty calls"

Hi! If you want too of course, but do you think you can do some wholesome Auditore family headcanons? (before everything goes to hell). And I like your previous AC headcanons!
Oh my god thank you????
And sure, why not?
-Giovanni was a lot like Ezio when he was younger, getting into trouble and of course that lead him to meeting the pretty Maria Mozzi, who did not exactly like him at first
-of course Giovanni liked to say “his charm won her over” but in reality it was because Mario told her that Giovanni liked her because “his brother was being a wuss”
-Giovanni fainted when Maria told him she was pregnant with Federico
-and of course cried when his first son was born
-he was ecstatic when he got a daughter in the form of Claudia
-Petruccio was actually a surprise baby as his parents only planned for three (but still loved him nonetheless)
-I feel like Federico was the type of kid where as soon as Maria got him clean, she’d turn away for five seconds and he’d be dirty
-Maria loves feathers because on the day she met Giovanni, an angry eagle chased him into her bakery, leaving feathers on the floor
-Claudia would drag Federico and Ezio into dress up games when she was younger
-for a period of three weeks, pastries were mysteriously disappearing from the kitchen and Maria was confused and pissed off because they were for a friend’s wedding
-it was her sons
-and safe to say she was unhappy
-Claudia laughed as her brothers were grounded for an entire month
-speaking of Claudia, I’m still SO confused how the hell Giovanni betrothed Claudia to Duccio???? Even if it was seen as the norm at the time, Duccio was just…..ew
-Giovanni must have been wasted or something there IS NO WAY that Giovanni didn’t take one look at Duccio and was like “get tf away from my daughter”
-he definitely went to the De Luca home after Ezio told him Duccio cheated on Claudia and cussed out his entire family
-Claudia and Maria had gossip sessions, I know they did, and Maria would be like “it is rude to gossip” and Claudia is just “ok but did you hear about Isabella” and Maria is listening
-all out on whoever’s birthday it was in the family, no expense was too much
Sorry it’s a bit short but I hope you (and others) like it!

If photographs were invented in the Italian Renaissance, you know Ezio would always keep a photo of him and his family with him everywhere he goes.
anon do you wish to break my heart 😭
for sure he would keep a photo of them all with him everywhere he goes. it would probably be one of the most precious things he owns. he'd try and find the best spot to keep it hidden and protected so that it doesn't get too damaged with time, be it crumpled corners or blood/water stains 🥺
i like to imagine him, on the rare occasions where he gets privacy and some time and place to sleep somewhere relatively safe, taking the photo out of its hidden spot and look at it tenderly, to remember his loved ones and make sure he remembers their face. some days silence would keep him company, and others, he'd whisper soft hellos, mention parts of his missions, talk about precious memories...
raaah T.T
EDIT: more bc i cant shut up abt this:
having a photo of his family would sure help him remember and be an emotional support of some kind, but also, it would be a very fragile thing that he'd often stress about T.T
and since he *has* no photo in this timeline, i often think about how ezio would struggle to remember their faces. he'd be angry at himself for having blurry memories of how his father and brothers looked. he'd sometimes think about asking leonardo to sketch smth for him but he'd never ask for it in the end bc he knows it'd break his heart.
leonardo himself keeps a few sketches that he mostly drew when everything went to hell, before he saw ezio again. those sketches are the best hidden ones of all his collection bc he doesnt want ezio to come across one of them by accident. he keeps them somewhere safe just in case ezio does ask him about it eventually.

Hi! Do you think you can some wholesome headcanons about the Auditore family before everything does to hell? Thank you!
This is going to be disjointed XD
Maria would sometimes cook and her kids used to help her. They learned how to make easy meals because of this.
Ezio learned how to play a lute to impress a girl. Federico was the one who taught him. Federico, on the other hand, learned to play the lute because Maria told him that he should learn to play an instrument so he’d have something to do.
Giovanni used to tell Petruccio stories of adventures from far away places when he was young. Petruccio becomes an avid reader because of those stories and everyone would usually bring him back a story book.
Petruccio read a book that talked about birds and he told Maria all about what he read. This is what started him on his ‘quest’ to bring Maria back feathers.
Claudia has a lot of friends. Almost all of them had a crush on either Ezio or Federico at some point. Many of them had crush on both. Federico and Ezio knows about this and they absolutely use it to tease Claudia.
Maria taught her sons how to dance while Giovanni taught Claudia dancing when they were young. When Ezio and Federico first started dancing, Claudia had been jealous because she was told she was too young. Giovanni danced with her by letting stay on top of his feet while he danced with her.
Claudia is one of the best dancers in Firenze nobility. Federico or Ezio usually escort her and would be her first dance partner.
Ezio once tried to flirt with their maids. Said maids would tell him how they used to bathe him when he was a babe. Federico laughed at Ezio for even trying his luck on their maids.
Federico once chased after a pigeon across the rooftops because he saw it had a strange-looking feather that he wanted to give to Petruccio.
Whenever Giovanni would return from a mission, he would always bring gifts back for his wife and children.
Although it’s been a long time since they visited Mario, Mario would always send gifts for his niece and nephews’ birthdays.

Warning for language in this ficlet.
Desmond: You know how it's only champagne if it's from the French town of Champagne? And otherwise, it's sparkling wine?
Clay: Yeah?
Desmond: I wish more things were like that.
Clay: What do you mean?
Desmond: For example. Someone isn't a wanker unless they're from the French town of Wanqer. Otherwise, they're just a sparkling fuckwit.
Clay: *snorts a laugh*
*Federico and Ezio stop their conversation, looking over, interested.*
Desmond: He's not your fiancee unless he's from the French town of Fiance. Otherwise, he's just a sparkling future husband.
*Federico, Ezio, and Clay laugh*
Desmond: Or as I prefer to call it, a brosecco.
*Wheezing laughter*
Desmond: It's only as pussy if it's from the Poosay region of France, otherwise it's just a-
Clay cuts in, red in the face from laughter: Sparkling cunt!
All four break down in laughter, eyes watering, gasping in air.
Maria and Giovanni, off to the side: *Shakes heads in exasperation.
