It was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards.

In the front row - the heir to the throne (Tsesarevich) Giorgi Alexanderovich in white cherkeska. One of them behind him is Elizabeth Nakashidze, the prince's wife, whom he married in Abastuman by the ordination of Count Konstantine Oldenburg and his wife Agripina Japaridze (Princess Zarnekau). However, the favorite son of the Empress of Russia, Danish Maria Feodorovna (Dagmar), was Nicholas, whom she raised as an Anglophile. Dagmar was destroying the Russian Empire brick by brick from the inside. She is the only member of the royal family who was not executed by the Bolsheviks and was instead smuggled to Denmark, where she died in 1928.
