hi i can't believe i ran out of tags. might make a specific post at this point lmao.
Let's construct Alan Becker's videos' timeline.
First, a base : AvAnimation I to VI.
Tumblr media
But in AvA V, AvPokémon, and AvSMB, the Minecraft Icon is missing from the taskbar. It went missing during AvMinecraft, featuring the charaters of AvA IV.
Tumblr media
(Note : Diverging arrows DO NOT indicate a splitting timeline; arrows indicate an ordering, diverging arrows indicate an uncertainty.)
Now, the AvM episodes. Indicated by their number, in green, they will be assumed to be in order. They obviously happened after AvM.
Tumblr media
(Note : "~" means that the episodes are directly following one another
But in 19, Blue tries to open the lucky blocks by jumping under it, mimicking what the Marios did in AvSMB ; and at the end of the 20~30 arc, the Minecraft block is put back in the taskbar, meaning that if the block was missing, the event happened in between.
Tumblr media
Ho ! And AvLoL happens after they met with purple during 8~14
Now, the problems :
First : AvYoutube. Minecraft is in the taskbar, but we can't know if it happen before AvM or after 30. Both possibilities will be shown in purple.
Tumblr media
Second : During the #TeamTrees, Discord replaced the Youtube icon, so it happened after all of that ; and #TeamSeas has references to #TeamTrees.
Finally : Noone has any clue where is Av∑ath.
Tumblr media
There. That's the timeline of the classic videos. I'll do the shorts (which some will be helpful) later.
#reading the prev tags chain and eating popcorn heheheheheheehhe#'why is there stickman lore now' :)#sticks#aight gimme a second to figure out where they are in the TL#right ok.#dropped off early/mid-s3? yah ok so#the king guy had the gang split up yes? well the gang managed to get back together again-#red and orange crossed the beams (those beacon blocks that would teleport them between rooms)#and managed to get themselves warped to some desert somewhere. after wandering a while and losing their tempers and brawling in that desert#they were discovered by a minecraft player and jumped from the mc world onto their desktop to email themselves back to alan's PC.#which is where they run into purple (who was on a mission to get the mc icon from the desktop). and we KNOW this is purple's mission bc#while red and orange were in the desert#we also got green (and reuben) locked in a tower after busting out of the parkour trap and discovering the king's plans.#(this is where green remains for the time being)#meanwhile blue and yellow escape the trap via yellow hacking the command blocks keeping each area of the trap self-contained. they flee#through a nether portal and end up helping a couple villages get their farms back in order to prevent giant ravagers from obliterating#them in their search for food.#…except then the king (who only green has seen at this point) shows up and kills the ravagers and is hailed as a hero. he then uses this#image of himself to get blue and yellow to trust him and follow him into. A Throne Room. Yeah. Totally Not Sus. and he just Hangs Out with#them there…until green manages to bust out of nether jail with reuben and gets to them to tell blue and yellow abt the king's plan#i highly recommend watching the pigstep sequence bc a lot of stuff starts happening all at once now and the music is a BANGER#but the end result is that everybody reconverges on the nether and the king ends up with not just alan's mc icon#but also the other mc player's as well- orange emailed themself back over to grab it once purple snagged alan's-#but only for a split second. the power of both icons kinda goes boom lmao. but during the massive epic music montage battle everybody ends#up split up again#this time with red and orange each in different areas#blue and yellow back at the villages in time for an illager raid#and green chasing a morally-conflicted purple through a musical#the gang rallies allies from all the places they wound up in to go back to the nether and do battle with the king before he can destroy mc#as a whole…and then. and THEN. AOUGH.

Things I'm excited for in s3:
Finding out who is now in charge of the guard and the squadrons (my current predictions are Rangda and Euclase, which could be interesting considering their rivlary)
Everything related to the new characters, I'm not even making theories at this point, I do not know enough to do so, but I need to know more
Since Astler will take Satie's position that means that someone else will be Admiral, right?
Eisner's arc (look, when it comes to angst my brain goes "oh this is gonna be painful, gimme")
Sohi's arc? Can my girl please become more important now that we have a split party and one character less?
On the topic of characters who have been underutilized so far: Eulifer's role now that Astler is even more important, and Eugene's disowned himself
Speaking of, Eugene's arc, what his role in the story will be now (also all the Ryugene scenes)
Jasper, backstory, character arc, I'm just so curious about him
On a similar note STYX WHAT IS YOUR DEAL

Haven’t really done the speculation posts consistently since about s3, but since I’m just rereading upcoming episode descriptions right now, here are some “what ifs” on the off chance I happen to be right:
512: Flashback to the case six years ago and maybe to Sarah’s arrival in St. John’s?
513: Truong. Family. Please. But also what if “old friend” is an ex? (Let it be Thomas. I know it won’t be, but can you imagine?) Also gimme some Charlie rushing to Toronto because Sarah’s in danger, please.
514: Can’t stay at the house. Gotta stay at Sarah’s house. I am honestly just trying to finally manifest her house because we deserve nice things.
515: No description yet but I *think* this might be the one Kevin Hanchard directed?
516: They’re going to keep the spoilers locked down until the last possible moment for episode 100.

gimme ur most controversial AIB takes and I'll give you cheesecake<3 -K.
currently fasting, but will do it anyway. most of these, if not all, are from the l.a.:
no one talks enough about ann's past and how it most likely traumatized her. even if the manga barely gave her something about her past, netflix could've given her some more, but it always focuses on ruining character arcs/storylines left and right.
the K♤ was totally butchered (both the character and the game) and the attempted killings of heiya, ann and kuina were absolutely unnecessary.
people gotta stop reducing chishiya to a sex object. especially in l.a.. i understand that nijiro is hot and everything, but he's playing an actually complex, manipulative character, not a f*ckboy who's going to screw you silly whenever he wants to.
and on a similar note, chishiya is coddled too much for doing the same stuff female characters get bashed for (i.e. urumi is a b*tch for manipulating people to survive, yet chishiya is praised to oblivion for the very same thing)
niragi/banda stans aren't safe either. i understand those who see the two as complex, antagonistical roles (and as in chishiya's case, more than f*ckboys), but if you actually condone their acts, feel free to get the f*ck out of this page.
arisu should've gotten more time for himself in between the games, but the writers sure don't like respecting people with ptsd
there's some people out there who see kyuma as simply 'the naked guy' when he is so much more than that. he's quite one of the wisest characters in the series/manga. at least imo.
as my friend, @miraofhearts2point0 has pointed out, heiya's hypersexuality (which, if i'm right, it's a form of mental illness) is demonized, and her character was severely butchered up.
and as i have voiced some posts ago, i do not see the need for a plot continuation that is mainly expected from season 3. the manga has wrapped up pretty decently in itself, and if we're going to have a s3, it would've been better for an adaptation of the retry or a citizen prequel but, of course, netflix likes to do its own thing. disappointed, but not surprised.
and i have much more, but i'm getting kinda sleepy now.

rayllum + taylor swift
in honour of both speak now taylor's version and tdp s5 and that cute asf rayllum moment in the trailer, a list of lyrics from 4 speak now songs that match rayllum in my mind:
mine
made for them. the whole song. 'do you remember we were sitting there by the water / you put your arm around me for the first time' midnight oasis from season three. The Scene.
'i was a flight risk with a fear of falling / wondering why we bother with love if it never lasts' rayla. that's all. season four and also poor girl's family situation.
'you made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter' runaan's not really careless but like i'm JUST SAYING
'you are the best thing that's ever been mine' speaks for itself. 'what we had was something special' 'you are the best thing i ever had' RAYLAAAAAA
ok i could do a whole essay on that song by itself but like
go listen it's Them
2. sparks fly
'drop everything now, keep me in the pouring rain / kiss me on the sidewalk, take away my pain' ahem. if this isn't rayla to callum. i don't know what is. he dropped everything to help her return zym to xadia, they had that heartfelt moment in the rain with the lightning strike-
'get me with those green eyes, baby, as the lights go down' self explanatory.
'gimme something that'll haunt me when you're not around' CALLUM. SEASON FOUR. NEED I SAY MORE?
'i'm on my guard with the rest of the world / but with you, i know it's no good' season four. callum asks /rayla/ for help with the whole 'if i'm possessed' thing and rayla lets down her guard to talk to him while he's asleep.
3. long live
'you held your head like a hero / on a history book page' 'it was the end of a decade / but the start of an age' end of season three. the way they hold hands and look so proud and zubeia looks at them like 'god damn how long was i asleep'
'long live the walls we crashed through / all the kingdom lights shine just for me and you' they crashed through the boundaries between humans and elves, katolis and xadia, and duren and katolis came through for them in the s3 battle.
'long live all the mountains we moved / i had the time of my life fighting dragons with you' not dragons, but like, they definitely had a very amazing journey and rAYLA SAYS HE WAS THE BEST THING IN HER LIFE OKAY I'M NOT OVER IT
'bring on all the pretenders, one day / we will be remembered' them against the world... they'll be remembered as the human mage and the last dragonguard... my heart...
4. back to december
or, rayla @ callum after season 4 i'm right and you know it. i don't even need to explain these lyrics.
'so this is me swallowing my pride / standing in front of you saying i'm sorry for that night' episode two.
'it turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you / wishing i'd realised what i had when you were mine'
'when your birthday passed and i didn't call' (eyes callum)
okay this one just makes me sad
i couldn't think of a 5th... if you can add it. pls. look i was listening to speak now taylor's version over and over again and then i realised it was Them

Okay you know When Darkness Falls is my beloved, but I’m going to zag and ask about Post Series Ted Lasso (or if someone else asks about that then Hair Wash!)
Thanks for the ask!
This one is the former Big Bang wip, obviously set after S3. Jamie visits his dad in rehab, it doesn't go well and he ends up telling Jamie "They won’t want you when you’re no longer their star player. I’ll always be your dad, but your team won’t be around when you’re not playing anymore.”
Without spoiling too much of the fic, Jamie's forced to figure out who he is without football and learns that he is loved unconditionally, whether he's playing or not.
Here's a zero context snip from the first chapter:
“Gimme your keys.” Roy orders reaching out a hand with an impatient wiggle. Jamie mutters control freak under his breath even as he throws the keys to Roy. He’d complain about it more except he really doesn’t fancy driving right now, doesn’t really trust himself behind the wheel if he’s being honest. He didn’t sleep well last night and he feels like its all deciding right now is the time for it to catch up with him. “Wait, how’d you get here?” He asks as his head swivels around, looking for the black G-Wagon and finding nothing in sight. “Did you—?” But Jamie can’t finish, because the idea that Roy Kent took public transport to get here simply so he could drive Jamie home is too bizarre a thought to say out loud. Roy evidently agrees because he just growls sightly. “Stop gawping and get in the fucking car.” “Thanks.”

Fic: My Ball and Chain
For @vastsexual, here is a Jon/Melanie set between S3 and S4. Melanie visits Jon in the hospital after the Flesh Attack on the Institute and she has a lot on her mind. Warnings for some violence and angry dark Melanie.
My Ball And Chain
The people at the hospital, staff and patients alike, stare at Melanie as she walks along the corridors, her clothes torn and dirty, her face and hands coated in blood. But nobody dares to stop her as she makes her way to Jon's room and goes inside.
Melanie has always hated the smell of the hospitals, and the air in this room is no less disgusting. That's why she raises her hand to her nose, inhaling the scent of blood and viscera of Jared Hopworth and his cronies as deeply as she can. It's almost all iron, the scent, but it's so, so good; Melanie shivers, almost wanting to lick her hand clean, but as much as the scent excites her, she has come down from the high of the battle enough to have her brain under her control. She can enjoy herself later; there is something important she has to do.
She's going to kill Jon.
This is only the second time she has been at the hospital. The first time she hadn't even been able to enter the room, letting Basira go in while she stayed outside, hands clenched into fists, vision red with deep, desperate rage. Everything had felt so unfair; the loss of Tim and Daisy, Elias being prison and out of Melanie's and her justice's reach, Melanie herself still being stuck at the Institute, unable to get away. She had remained outside Jon's room because if she had gone in, she might have killed him. Back then, Melanie didn't want that.
But it's been months, and every month is worse than the previous month, and Melanie has grown bitter like old coffee, turning pitch black inside. Today was the first time she felt some kind of a freedom ever since that confrontation in Elias's office, freedom and power, and she wants those feelings to stay. That's why Jon has to go. Dropping her hand, Melanie closes the door behind her with the other one. She breathes in deeply, taking a step forward.
Jon doesn't look any different from a corpse, his face miserably hollow and gray. He doesn't react to Melanie when she gets closer to him, and now that she thinks more than she feels again, she can feel irritation rising from the back of her brain. Jon really has the nerve to look so fucking helpless, doesn't he? Seeing him this way was supposed to be a pleasure; instead, it enrages her. Snarling, Melanie marches across the remaining distance between her and the hospital bed, yanking the covers off Jon's body.
"Why don't you just die?"
Of course, Jon doesn't answer. Without the covers on, he looks even smaller, his body mere skin and bones; it barely looks like there is any blood running in his veins. And since he isn't even breathing, his body is entirely still, and when Melanie reaches out and touches his cheek, his skin is cold. He should by all means be dead. She should help him be that.
But now that she is right next to him, all her desire to destroy him seems to have left her.
Scoffing at Jon, at herself, Melanie steps away from the bed, looking Jon over. Maybe the desire isn't there because it feels pointless to kill someone who can't even fight back; she might as well be cutting dead meat into smaller pieces. Frustrated, she starts to pace back and forth next to the bed, reaching out every now and then to give Jon's unmoving body a shake, a shove. She tries to stir herself with the thoughts of punching him, strangling him, stabbing him, but none of it works; mere thoughts, even Jon himself, don't compare to the rush of the battle at the Institute. She needs his eyes to be open, for him to see her and fear her.
Groaning from irritation, Melanie finally climbs up on the bed, straddling Jon's bony legs. She puts her hands around Jon's throat, leaning over him as she starts to squeeze.
"Come on," she mutters. "Gimme a fucking fight."
She sits down on him, digging her knees into the sides of his thighs as she grips his neck, staring down at his face. She hopes to see any disturbance, any sign of discomfort or pain or terror. But Jon's face remains calm, not sound escaping him no matter how hard she squeezes him, even when she shakes him.
"Don't just lie there!" she demands. "Come on, fight me! Irritate me to death like you always do! Don't just fucking lie there, it's been long enough, come back already!"
She breaks into shudders, letting him go. She covers her face with her hands, breathing in and out deeply again, trying to keep it together.
"Come back already," she repeats behind her hands, feeling it as the anger drains out of her.
But not completely. After a while, she drops her hands, leaning down to him close enough she could count his eyelashes if she wanted to.
"If you do ever come back," she says slowly, "I promise I will make it as miserable for you as I can. You will suffer every bit as much as I do."
Pulling back, Melanie wonders what else she can do now, or even say. Something that doesn't make her feel so ridiculously vulnerable; he hasn't earned the right to make her feel that way. She sits there for a moment before it dawns on her, and she starts to smile.
Grasping the hem of Jon's hospital robe, Melanie yanks it up, exposing him all the way to his hips.
"You will get a little memory of me," she whispers, pulling her knife into sight. "If I can't forget you, you can't forget me."
Melanie gets to work.
She presses into his lower stomach with the tip of her blade, digging in just deep enough to hope it hurts. Jon still doesn't react, but she continues anyway, dragging her knife along his flesh until there is a distinct, jagged 'M' just below his navel. She watches as blood seeps into sight from the fresh carving, and it feels right. It feels like justice.
"I will get you one day," she promises, pulling his robe back down before getting off the bed.
Melanie tosses the covers back on him, telling herself that this is enough for now. She will wait for him for the round two.

Black Butler - Canon Eps Rewatch Commentary (part of season 1, season 3, book of murder & book of the atlantic) (*spoilers for the manga up until now, ch.210)
season 1 -*twirls hair* hiiiii sebastiaaaaan... teeheee -YUUKI KAJI WE MEET AGAIN! finny. -oof lizzie. i miss her -i'm very used to jun fukuyama as blue exorcist yukio and bungo stray dog ango, and hearing his grell voice makes me go "?!?!" -"this person is a hard worker," "that person is a hard worker," lies, all lies, have you seen how hard sebastian is working for his meal -oh dude, i don't remember how we met soma anymore, so seeing him this serious is so odd -is soma really like that? i remember him with more oomph, more pizazz, more... MORE from the manga :(
season 3 -heh, ep1 doing The Most to give us a who's-who -it's... it's the circus troupe... :") -miyano mamoru, miyano mamoru -SNAAAAAAAAAKEEEEEE -doll. -was i conditioned from the beginning to like dazai's voice acting? because i remember liking joker the first time i watched s3. i remember he stood out. was it a predestined path -YES! YES THAT'S SOMA, YES! YES!! -i have a problem and his name is miyano mamoru. HE'S SO ENTERTAINING -yes yes, this is the ridiculousness and playfulness i expect from black butler's sillier moments, thank you! -doll... if i catch you, doll... -WAAAAIT, first there's ciel on vincent's left and then there's ciel on vincent's right, IT WAS THERE ALL ALONGGGG -THERE ARE LITERALLY TWO CHILDREN, HOW DID I NOT NOTICE BEFORE THE REVEAL. the way despicable kelvin's eyes track the two children, the way it SEEMS like ciel's just doing circles around his father and has mood swings, that is insane omg -i love the phantomhive staff. and how ironic, isn't it, that they stay and protect ciel for the same reason the circus troupe stays with and protects their father -this is one of my favorite arcs, if not the favorite. i actually feel bad for the antagonists. they're criminals, but they're more complex than that. they have reason, conviction, a backstory, relationships. they're the villains, but they weren't bad people, only desperate. like, seeing beast's face when she's about to be blown up, seeing joker cry, it actually breaks my heart. also my heart breaks for ciel and his ptsd. and the fact that he chooses to let the children burn, it's so character-defining. i really do love this arc. a painful arc. -seeing ciel laughing at the workhouse, sebastian should be like "my meal is turning gourmet" -yeah, gimme a minute. i need a minute after this, i'm sad.
book of murder -you know what i love? yes, first and foremost sebastian and ciel are demon and prey. but that aside, as they are now, in their roles of master and butler, they're such a team. such comrades. -ciel about to give the performance of his lifetime over "dead" sebastian. and it's a damn good performance, i never tire of it. it hurts. and the staff's reactions are genuine anyway, and they're lovely -ciel to snake is like, "if you stay in the mansion, that's the fastest way to meet joker and the others again," and it's like, yes, yes it is, but not in the way you think -.-
book of the atlantic -dear lizzie. "sure, a man with snakes works for my fiance, no biggie." doesn't bat an eyelash. i miss lizzie. -oh man, seeing ciel protecting lizzie and lizzie trusting him knowing what comes next in the manga makes me tear up a little -i love lizzie. she makes me tear up, her story is so. -how ironic was it that it wasn't even our ciel that told lizzie strong women are scary? -i love this arc too -yes, yes, this, let's not forget that ciel and sebastian are funny together, and sebastian loves teasing ciel, and ciel loves to give sebastian a hard time. -undertaker, if villain why so pretty! -tsk, i love ciel and sebastian. -alright. i'm all ready for the new season :)

Top three seasons or top three episodes? 🤔
(Hi PK!!!! 👋👋👋👋👋)
I'll try to do both! so for top three episodes I've got:
Dark Side of the Moon. as much as I hate having to give dabb his due credit, and as much as I have become more aware of its flaws as a narrative, I kind of love all this episode does. I love that it kills off dean and sam in the first scene and sends them to heaven, it immediately sets it up as being such a different episode from anything that came before. I love that we see heaven for the first time, and how it's portrayed! I love the character and relationship studies for dean and sam, dean and mary. it just has a lot of elements that appeal to me! it's also beautiful
Faith. I'm a basic bitch and not afraid to own it. It's the best episode of season 1 and to me one of the most well-made episodes of the show. showstopping moment after showstopping moment.
What Is and What Should Never Be. you might have noticed the pattern by now, but I love a dean study! and while I love a good individual scene, this episode is basically all exploring dean's mind (at this moment in the show), his desires, his motivations, his self-image. there's again so much to love here
honourable mention goes to 11x04 Baby, we love you girl. gimme that car-centric motw with sibling bonding, deep late night conversations, and dean in daisy dukes
as for top 3 seasons
easy one, it's 5. always has been season 5. I have basically three metrics for how much I enjoy a season, 1. how much I like the overarching storyline, 2. how good the individual episodes are, and 3. how I feel about what the season does for the characters and relationships. season 5 slaps on all accounts. I love that the apocalypse is just happening for the entirety of this season, and most of the episodes are at the very least fun and there are a remarkable number of absolute classics. plus the michael sword arc is one of my favourites. blows a kiss to s5!
s11 :) my darling s11. again, remarkable number of good episodes considering it's a later season, I enjoy the amara plotline, and I love sam and dean's relationship in this one. it's also not a coincidence that my two top seasons are one where dean and sam succeed in the end, even if they don't 'win', the thing they were working towards gets done. I like a good ending! I'm a dw fan at heart
this one is a bit more up in the air because after 5 and 11 it's kind of just a free-for-all because many of the seasons are close in quality to me, but right now I'm gonna go with 3. I think she's underrated, she's the shortest season but still manages to pack in an incredible number of bangers. plus again a lot of good character stuff. s3 is like sam and dean's dark little world turning in on itself as the end nears, before exploding outward at the start of s4. and that's an interesting vibe :)
thank you for the question!!! love getting to share an opinion, have a lovely evening sweetheart!!! <3333333

Episode 1-16 Re: Thoughts
I’m relistening the whole thing since Ep 1 again and boy do I have A LOT of thoughts. Perks of audio processing problems: no matter how many times I listen to this story (it’s... 7th? 10th?), I ALWAYS hear smth new.
I’m not on discord server so have no idea if any of that was previously discussed, so feel free to hit me up and talk!
the whole vanguard thing - why did it want to "help" Arthur, why did it call him master? We know John has sort of a connection to the Dark world since he's been there, Arthur heard his voice when he nearly died, and the vanguard is a being caught in between the Earth and the Dark world. So who created the vanguard and what exactly connection does it have to our jester team? (Was it one of them since time in the Dark world is non-linear?)
again, John's connection to the dark world. Arthur came back from the coma and John's got an ability to connect with the dead. They thought it was because of Adam, who, as we know now, was the King. Pardon me, but the King has nothing to do with the dead? The whole "seeing John through Amanda's dead memory” was weird but - ok, maybe for him time isn't linear, too, and he sensed his other part somehow. I believe John's ability has nothing to do with Adam/the King and everything to do with Arthur's NDE. They were a breath away from the Dark world, and I think THAT'S the source of it.
JUST GIMME THE DARK WORLD ARK ALREADY
where did all those weird creatures come from back in Arkham? Were they sent by the King? But John said they were from the Dark world, not the Dreamlands? How exactly does this work? The King didn't seem all that powerful to me outside the Dreamlands and, frankly, even there.
connected question: what was the purpose of all those creatures, they mostly acted as if they were trying to kill Arthur, and how exactly does it help the King if John would have most likely end up in the Dark world again? Or were the creatures supposed to only scare and direct Arthur? But the people the King affected were definitely trying to kill Arthur and nearly succeeded a number of times. Was it the consequence of the podcast not being thought through and directed on a whim? Because to me it doesn't look like that, there are a lot of details coming to play just now, and they were clearly planted in the beginning with a purpose in mind.
the dark young were in England. Does it have smth to do with Arthur's origins?
someone's forgetting his own lore: they had to pick a lock in s1e6, but in s3 John's surpised Arthur can do this - again
the island with a lighthouse appeared only in the night, apparently it really doesn't exist in normal circumstance - the map in Harper's Hill was correct.
the lighthouse keeper might have known Arthur wasn't alone. Arthur kept saying "we", and the keeper studied his eyes, not correcting or questioning. He might be up to something. And who/what WAS that keeper, anyway?
the widow brought stones "black as night". Not obsidian, no?
Antoine and Andrew Larson both are connected to eldritch gods and live longer than normal people
the whole "John killed Emily" plot still doesn't add up. How did he do that? He’s literally POWERLESS being tied to Arthur, he can choke someone, but dismember??? Unless he’s with a host he’s in the Dark world, and once the host curses themselves through the book, he gets stuck in their body, right? So - how? I just don’t get the logistics AT ALL. The way Emily was killed reminded me more of those dark young or Larson’s creature. Poor thing didn’t even have a name.
Arthur and Bella weren't married. Whenever someone mentions her, Arthur calls her “Faroe’s mother”. When John asks “You were married?”, Arthur answers smth like “I was young, I was with someone”. When John supposes Daniel is Arthur’s father-in-law, Arthur doesn’t agree but evades the question. The conclusion? They weren’t married.

all the pieces aren't even in the box // the morning show, bradley/laura, chapter six
about: Bradley and Laura's last few months in Montana and how the world reacts along the way (and maybe how they find their way back to each other) ~ read earlier chapters on AO3 chapter six summary: Bradley’s surprise visitor turns out to be the least of her worries. Laura gets a surprise of her own. (read chapter five on AO3)
chapter notes: well, that s3 finale was an episode of television. (Ricky. When I catch you, Ricky—) This chapter’s a doozy, so buckle up for grief in the first two sections. If you missed having Bradley at the ranch last chapter, she’ll be home sooner than you think. Also, I understand if Covid talk and things of that nature make you uncomfortable, so if you want a spoiler, let me know, and I'll tell you. Fun fact: In s1, when Bradley’s dad calls, her dad’s got a (773) area code, which is a Chicago one. Shout out.
~
“Fuck me.”
Laura was right. Bradley never should’ve left Montana. She should’ve stayed in their cozy queer bubble with the pomegranate trees and simmering discontent, and she never should’ve brought herself into the same fucking state as Peter Jackson.
The last time Bradley saw her dad was at a gas station in Chicago. He’d been living out there after his release. She was in town on a shoot. It wasn’t even on purpose. The story was about ex-cons struggling to find jobs and housing in major cities. Her dad went to the same group as some of the people she interviewed. So she went to get a drink from a gas station down the street from the meeting spot, and there he was.
And just like now, it was like every thought he’d ever had just scrunched up into his cheeks. Every regret and accusation and apology — all of it hoisted up his cheekbones while his eyes got further and further away.
Fifteen years ago, Bradley told him off. She was an angry twenty-something with a need to be heard. But today?
She stumbles back from the mic. Her weight shifts too quickly onto her heels, and she has to turn to keep herself from falling.
Hal jumps up from the front pew. His eyes wider than they’ve been all day. Bloodshot and protective and confused. Normally, Bradley would go to him. She would tell him that they’ll be okay and to ignore anything their dad says because they’re not the problem; he is. But the thought of propping up Hal sucks the energy right out of her.
Bradley is tired of helping her brother. Tired of holding onto her dad’s shit for nearly thirty years. Tired of feeling like she has to say something to these people who don’t give a fuck about any of them.
She steps away from the podium towards the side door. The church choir uses it all the time to go in and out for performance.
“Bradley!” Hal calls out.
She shakes her head. “Not now. I’m not—“ She glances at him long enough to remember her purse is beside him. He spots where she’s looking and grabs it first.
“Brad—“
She holds her hand out as she walks to him. “Gimme my bag, Hal.”
“Bradley—“
“Give me my bag!”
It’s so fucking quiet in the room. Her dad hasn’t moved, but everyone else seems to have their cameras and phones at the ready. Bradley cannot become another trending topic. She has seen that clip of herself screaming, “I am exhausted,” more than enough times.
“Hal. Please.”
Her brother doesn’t budge. Cheryl does though. She tugs the bag from Hal’s grip and hands it to Bradley with her hand over the open part. Bradley should say thank you, but all she can do is meet Cheryl’s understanding eyes and book it out of the side door as quickly as possible.
.
.
The door slams shut behind her.
The hallway’s a different kind of quiet. Not as tense. Bradley gasps for air like she’s suffocating. She throws her bag onto her shoulder and rips her mask down from her face to breathe. She’s gotta get out of here.
“This still counts as inside,” Peter says. Bradley all but jumps out of her skin at the sound of his voice. He’s all the way down at the other end of the hall. Slipped right back out the door he’d slithered through. But sound carries in a church better than anywhere Bradley’s ever known.
She whirls around to snap at him. “I know more about masks than you do!”
He shrugs without moving any closer. “Well, you talk about ‘em enough on your show.”
“I told you not to contact me again.”
“I’m here for your mom. I knew her a lot longer than either of you did.”
“And where were you the last fifteen years, huh? Or any of the ones before that?” She shakes her head before he can even answer. Turns back around to scan for the closest exit. The main entrance is too close to him. She’s not walking back over there. “I’m leaving.”
He nods. “You look happy. With your girlfriend.” That makes her stumble all over again. Panic and heat rise to her cheeks. Some half-planned defense is on her tongue. But her dad just does that same half-raised grin she does and says, “I don’t do all that social media stuff. But I got the Google alert about some article. A picture of the two of you on her ranch. Smiling.” Their last day together. “I’m happy you’re happy, kiddo.”
Everything inside her just stops.
He’s happy that she’s happy?
What in the fuck does he know about her happiness?
Her lips part as her frustration rises. She has been responsible for her happiness for a hell of a lot longer than she should have been. She rounds on him.
“You know I was a kid,” she yells. “I should not have been pickin’ up Hal, or cleaning up Mom, or—“
“Turning me in for what I did to that boy,” he finishes for her. “And to you. You’re right. You took care of everybody in that house. You were so good at it that I forgot it wasn’t your job. Your job was to be a kid. My kid.”
Her jaw aches, so she clenches it tighter. Somehow her whole body shakes instead.
Her dad has her eyes, and Hal’s chin, and the right words after nearly thirty years of being an absolute shit stain of a man. He had her whole life to get his shit together. It’s not fair that he wants to come back now. He waits until she gets something good with TMS, and something great with Laura, and something awful with her mom’s death, and now he’s the fucking Ghost of Christmas Past.
He’s so old now. Small like he was when he was drinking, but he looks more sturdy. His hair’s not sandy blonde like hers used to be. It’s got more gray in it. Well, where it still exists. He’s balding in a way that Hal would hate to see.
She hates to see him.
She hates her dad.
Right?
This scream inside of her feels like the same way it always did. Since she saw him drunk for the first time. This is rage and disappointment and — and she hates this man more than anything. He ruined them long before Bradley got a chance to.
But she can’t move, and he doesn’t say anything else. He lets the first real apology for what he did fill the hallway between them.
She was just a kid. She did what was right. She always does what’s right, and she has been made to feel wrong about that every single day since. With him, with network censors, with Mitch, with Hannah, with fucking Cory and the fucking mask that’s still around her neck, choking her.
He blinks their eyes, and he says, “Your girl looks at you like you’re the belle of the ball.”
“I am,” Bradley spits out.
It’s the first thing she’s been able to say since his apology. It’s fucking pathetic that it’s all she can say. She never wanted to be the belle of the ball, or the stars in the sky. She just wanted to be held. To have somebody help her with her homework and come to her track meets on time and stone cold sober and to drive her all the way home after it.
Maybe if her parents had done their job, she wouldn’t have gone looking for home in the first guy who smiled at her crooked. She wouldn’t have gotten knocked up at fifteen and snuck off to get her own abortion. She wouldn’t be in her first real loving relationship in her forties.
“I gotta get out of here.”
She spins back around. Even though he doesn’t follow her, his next words do. They stick to her heels and burrow into her skin.
“Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. It could be different now. If you let me.”
Bradley does the only thing she can think to do. She uses the keys Cheryl slipped into her purse to take Hal’s car. She drives home, and she locks herself in the bathroom like she’s fifteen again.
She grabs one of her mom’s decorative towels and drops it onto the ground. Then she lays on the cold floor with her face on that towel until the world stops crushing down on top of her.
She hasn’t done this in months. Not since she accidentally told the whole world about her abortion on her first day at TMS. It’s only lying here now that it hits her — she never looked in the casket. She never saw her mom.
Did Hal pick the right look? Did he make sure her makeup was okay? If they weren’t cremating her, then she had to look alright. She would hate if they buried her looking a mess.
Doesn’t matter what she hates anymore. She’s dead. Gone. And she is never coming back.
Bradley sobs without warning. The force of it splits her in half. She curls up to hold herself together, her arms wrapping around her stomach as her whole body quakes with each new cry.
What is she doing here? She hated this house. She hated growing up here. She hated living here as an adult because so much kept going wrong that she could never stay away. She hated these fucking decorative towels.
She pushes herself off the floor to get away from it. She did always love this bathroom though. It has a little ledge outside the tall window. The window is meant to help air out the room, so it’s up high and too small for a person to fit through. But it’s where teen Bradley used to hide things she didn’t want her mom to find. A pack of cigarettes, a phone number from the butch mechanic that Bradley had already memorized. Cigarettes don’t expire, do they?
She takes the trash bag out the trash can and flips over the bin so she can reach up to the window. Slides it open and reaches her hand around for the pack she’d left there before she went to UBA. But she finds a wad of toilet paper instead.
Her brows furrow as her fingers wrap around it and pull it back through. “What the fuck?”
There’s something inside the paper. She unravels it to see a Covid test, with a faint positive line.
Bradley stares down at it. It’s gotta be a trick of the light, right? It’s gotta be because if it’s not—
The front door opens, and Bradley is out of the bathroom in a blink. Hal can’t even fully step into the house before Bradley jams the Covid test into his flushed face.
“What the fuck is this, Hal!?”
He has to lean back to see it, but his eyes double in size the moment he does. “Don’t freak out.”
“Tell me this is Mom’s. Tell me you’re not positive right now.”
“It’s barely there, Brad,” he says, and her rage blocks out every word he says after.
She has spent every moment with Hal since she got to Grantsville. Why would he do this? He could’ve infected her. He could’ve infected everyone.
He’s still talking when the blood stops rushing in her ears. “And I couldn’t take another one ‘cause if I knew—“
“You already knew, jackass,” she hisses. “You knew, and you still let me come in here. What the fuck, Hal!? I can’t go home like this!”
He steps closer. “You are home. If you can host from Laura’s, you can do it from here.”
“I DON’T WANT TO DO IT FROM HERE!” She screams. “I want to go home with my girlfriend. I just told her that everything would be fine.”
“It is fine!”
“It is not fine!”
He pleads, “I don’t have any symptoms. I can’t spread it without symptoms.”
“You fucking asshole! You’re just asymptomatic. You can still spread the virus. To me, to Cheryl, to every single person you come in contact with.” She starts pacing away from him. “I never should’ve come here. I’m gonna die in West Virginia.”
“You’re not gonna die.”
“You don’t know that. You don’t get to talk to me right now. I-I’m leaving.” Bradley drops what’s left of Hal’s trash onto the ground. Hal rushes after her before she gets more than a few steps, but she throws his hand off her arm. “I can’t be around you. Where’s my mask?”
“At the door, but Brad—“
She shoves past him to get it off the shelf by the front door. She’d worn it the whole service. She helped mitigate the spread. But she had to get a test for herself now. She had to know. She hasn’t been here long enough for it to incubate. By the time she has, it’ll be time to drive home.
Shit. She has to tell Laura. Shit. “FUCK!”
She fumbles in her pocket for her phone. RJ first. RJ can help her figure everything else out.
“What are you doing?” Hal asks.
Bradley stomps past him again to head for her old room. Her stuff’s still mostly in the suitcase. It won’t take long to zip it back up. Her phone rings in her ear while she unplugs her charger from the bedside and grabs her laptop from on top of the bed.
RJ sounds concerned as he answers. “Hey, is everything okay? I didn’t think you’d call today.”
“Neither did I,” Bradley huffs. “I need a hotel. ASAP. Anything will do, just—“
Hal cuts her off from the doorway. “Bradley, stop.”
She talks over him. “As soon as possible, RJ. Please.”
“O-okay. Are you…. Are you physically safe?”
Bradley cringes as the memory of Hal throwing mugs at TMS flashes in her mind.
“It’s not like that. Don’t start a panic. I can’t have people fussing at me. Not today.”
“Okay, let me see what I can find.”
“Alright, call me back.” Bradley hangs up on her assistant and zips her bag shut.
Hal hasn’t moved from the doorway. He didn’t do this on purpose, did he? Her brother wouldn’t try to trap her into staying. That’s… that’s cruel. He wouldn’t be cruel to Bradley, would he?
She glances up at him as she pulls her bag off the bed.
“Don’t follow me. Don’t call me. Just take another test, and text me a picture of it once the timer’s up.”
“You can’t go back,” he tells her. “You’ll kill her if you have it. Symptomatic or not.”
She gulps around the fear that flares up. “Well, I’m not staying here. Tell Cheryl to get a test too.”
Bradley gets around him and out the house to her car. It’s not until she sits down and locks her doors that she really looks at her phone again. She hadn’t read her texts earlier, not even Laura’s.
Laura — 11:34 AM: Hal’s scrambling now that you’ve left. Someone’s standing in front of the computer, so the Zoom is blocked. Did you really leave?
Laura — 11:50 AM: Twitter tells me that you did. Bold move, Jackson. Where are you hiding out?
Laura — 12:15 PM: I promise not to say I told you so. I just want to know how you’re holding up. Let me know once you’ve caught your breath.
Shit. Laura really did watch. Laura woke up early on a Saturday to watch the funeral that she didn’t even want Bradley to go to. And now Bradley’s supposed to, what, tell Laura that she can’t go home? That Hal’s a reckless, ignorant asshole who ruined everything? That Bradley let him do it, just like she always does, because she can’t actually leave him alone?
She can’t say that. Not over text.
Bradley — 1:36 PM: Still catching. You can say I told you so. I won’t be mad, I promise.
She hesitates, then adds.
Bradley — 1:36 PM: I’ll see you, okay?
She watches as her messages send. Waits the minute it takes for Laura to read them and heart-react to her second one.
Laura — 1:37 PM: I’ll see you too, Bradley.
Bradley flips her phone over. She turns the car on and reverses out of her family’s driveway. It’ll take RJ some time to find the right hotel. Like Laura said, drive until she can breathe again.
.
.
For Laura’s talk of silence over anger, she doesn’t do well when Bradley goes quiet. It makes her restless. Which is unheard of for someone who’s spent this long perfectly content on her own.
It’s honestly embarrassing how many times she checks her phone the next few days. She even has her volume up in case a call comes in when she leaves the room. She gets so many unnecessary notifications. If Amazon sends her one more discount coupon message, she’s cancelling her Prime Membership.
She’s not. She won’t. She just needs an outlet until Bradley reaches out. This, of course, leads her to the most embarrassing possible way to spend her time. She starts preparing the guest house for Bradley.
First, it’s just dusting. Freshening up the sheets and the towels. Then it’s logging into the streaming services on the TV. She brings over a few books that Bradley had been meaning to read. She stocks the bathroom with Covid tests and the cabinets with whiskey and mixers. She nearly bakes cookies before some semblance of self-respect clicks back into her body. She does gather some laundry though.
Monday morning, before the sun’s even had a chance to rise, she pads out of the house with the laundry basket to drop the clothes off. It doesn’t take as long to get ready when there’s only one of them getting dressed in the morning.
She presses in the code on the lock. It’s simpler than having a key, especially since she can send it to friends and family who need a break from the world. She has to balance the laundry basket on her hip to get the door and screen door open. She probably could have done with just one door. Notes for the remodel.
As she steps in, her brows furrow at the shoes inside the door.
“Bradley?” No, that wouldn’t make sense. When would Bradley even —
“Stop!” Bradley shrieks from the bedroom. Laura jumps to face the bedroom door. It’s pulled up, but Laura can hear Bradley scramble on the other side of it. “Don’t come any closer.”
“Bradley, what—“
“I’m serious, Laura.” Bradley’s voice shakes. She’s pleading, and Laura’s still processing the fact that Bradley is here. Bradley is home, and she didn’t say anything. “Get back outside. Now!”
Laura stumbles back with the laundry basket. The door knob jams into her hip. She curses as she turns to get back onto the short porch of her own property. She shuts the screen door behind her, but she doesn’t move any farther. She stares through, waiting for some kind of explanation.
“Bradley, talk to me,” Laura says.
“I— fuck.”
Bradley opens the bedroom door. She steps out with a mask on and the shirt she wore to the funeral. She hasn’t changed in days? Laura’s heart pounds. This isn’t just being cautious. This — something’s wrong.
“Honey, please.”
Bradley gulps. Her eyes frantically take Laura in. She must see how tired Laura is. How tightly Laura worries the basket in her hands.
Laura would’ve at least brushed her hair if she knew Bradley was here. Her hair’s all over in a way that makes her feel like she’s hiding.
Bradley blurts out her explanation. “I got exposed to Covid. They were asymptomatic. I'm still negative, but….”
But she can’t come any closer. She can’t leave the guest house. If she really does get sick, then she’d be on her own. Laura can’t save her from this. Laura can’t even save herself.
Bradley’s eyes well up above her mask. Laura tries to think of something to say. Anything, but all she has are questions. Who exposed Bradley? When did it happen? Why hasn’t she said anything? Why did she slink in unannounced like a shameful ghost?
But the questions won’t change anything. They won’t help this growing pain in Laura’s chest. They won’t stop the tears in Bradley’s eyes.
So Laura says the only other thing she can think of.
"I was still making up the room.”
Bradley breaks their eye contact to look around the guest house. She must have gotten in late. That’s why Laura didn’t know. Her car’s not in the driveway, so she probably parked and walked the rest of the way. She didn’t want to wake Laura.
The guest house is mostly a one bedroom with a small living room/kitchenette. Basic studio equipment’s on the narrow dining table. Bradley’s favorite throw blanket is on the couch. A few of her mugs are on the counters. Most telling, there's a framed picture of their ranch selfie from before she left.
Bradley sniffles. “What else could I need?”
Laura gently sets down the laundry basket on the porch. “There’s just a few more things.” She steps back so Bradley can pick it up.
Bradley props the basket between herself and the wall to go through it. She reaches past her own sweaters and T-shirts to grab the pair of Laura’s sweats that she’d put back on Laura’s side of the closet before leaving. Her hands shake as she holds them.
“They look better on you,” Laura says.
Bradley fractures at that. She turns her face back to Laura, and it is so hard to only see the top of her face. To know without looking that Bradley’s jaw trembles and her nose must be red.
"I'm so sorry. I fucked up. I really, really fucked up."
Laura’s not there yet. Not ready for an apology. Not ready for what comes next. She needs a moment, and Bradley needs some kind of reassurance that Laura doesn’t know if she has.
She tries anyway. Speaks level and calm, “You'll keep testing, and it'll be negative. It will.” Bradley shakes her head, and Laura’s voice firms. “Say it, Bradley.”
“It will be negative,” Bradley repeats.
Say it, believe it, will it into existence. If Laura let Bradley go, and it took Bradley away from her —
Matching alarms pierce the air. Both women jolt. They have a show to do. They have to get ready.
Bradley glances down at herself as if she’s seeing herself for the first time in days.
“I need to change. I—“ She looks back to Laura, and her eyes hold the apology she can’t say again.
Laura doesn’t know what to do with her hands without the basket. She pulls them together in front of her. Squeezes tight as she nods to Bradley.
“It’s fine. Go. I should change too. I haven’t brought the, um, food over. I….” She should’ve made the cookies. “I thought I had more time.”
Bradley kneads the sweatpants in her hands.
“Me too.”
Laura turns to head for the house.
Bradley’s voice cracks as she calls after her. “We’ll talk after the show. Right?”
Maybe by then Laura will have something to say. The shock will be gone, and she’ll be able to feel something other than… numb. Unprepared. Adrift.
Bradley’s return was supposed to be triumphant. Joyful and exciting as they reconnected and found new ways to tease each other for two weeks. The guest house was meant to be a technicality. Now it’s a threat.
“Have a good show, Bradley.”
She doesn’t wait for Bradley to say it back. She heads for the house and shuts the door behind her. Sinks into it as the weight of what could be knocks the wind out of her. For once, she wishes she could scream. Yell. Smash vases and slam doors and let out this tempest inside of her. But all she has is tension that locks her bones and clamps her lungs. She gasps ragged. Shudders as the snoozed alarm comes back to life.
She was wrong with Gordon. The silence is a lot worse than anger.

suitor armor ships, in alphabetical order, shipping intensity varies:
barsabae/norrix, i'm intrigued! with modeus as their child, maybe, are these two divorced teacher/student-ish? idk, their mysterious backstory compels me. that fallout, that scorn. i don't think barsabae is dead!
barsabae/ricon, gimme something similar to star trek deep space nine, kai winn/gul dukat. let them be terrible and awful in their teamwork that works on charm and poison, and inevitable turning on each other.
(barsabae/ricon/norrix, lmao. this trio would be the stuff of nightmares, in a way. ricon and his two mad magician-scientists, creators of the iron kind. i'm curious about it, and how reimund thwarts it, lmao.)
baynard/peres. they cute, don't have much to say about them.
baynard/ricon/peres. at least baynard and ricon have history, (not too sure about ricon and peres tbh) and i'm curious about that. assume ricon knows everything. i just. live for ricon making people uncomfortable, tbh.
kirsi/norrix, i've always liked the archtype of a princess and her magician falling in love. they're also my two fave characters, so why not pair them together. i just want them to interact more...
kirsi/norrix/reimund, theoretical guinevere/lancelot/arthur love triangle that i'm uselessly charmed by.
kirsi/norrix/ricon, lmao. disaster trio, that feed off each other in such downhill spirals. potentially it's kirsi and norrix being pawns of ricon, as he exploits them for his own purposes, but i can't deny i like the idea of it. (am i maybe thinking or dark shadow's barnabas/maggie/willie similarities, possibly!)
kirsi/quinn. ngl, curious to see interspecies fairy-human romance happen in this webtoon that becomes mutual. while it wasn't a good meeting, it could lead to something, maybe. kirsi opening her eyes, perhaps, could start with a romance...?
kirsi/reimund. pride and prejudice's mr and mrs bennett, i'm afraid :( it had literally one good moment, the heart to heart that lead up to their first kiss. and then everything after that went downhill, bc the story likes kirsi fucking up every chance she gets and reimund gets critical of her, which: fair, ngl, but not particularly shippy for me. might enjoy them as a temporary/dysfunctional ship, where its not meant to be, but i suppose it might depend on s3's happenings.
kirsi/ricon. spider and fly dynamic. idk, the gaslighting and lying. curious about puppetmaster ricon, and how he wants kirsi dependent on him, and how he consistently negs her, and causes her to doubt both her husband and her sister. i want to know if he'll ever become fond of her, or that was never a possibility, or if one day she'll grow sick of his lies.
lucia/modeus. sigh. started off cute, promising sexy monster boyfriend, slowly lost interest. maybe there's a way to be less born sexy yesterday, but right now it's just... modeus is too zoned onto lucia. i want to see modeus grow his own way, independent of lucia.
lucia/modeus/norrix. yeah, yk? they had two hands each. s1 was good for all three ships, so just... put them together, yeah? s2 was less interesting, bc that's typical vying suitors competition which interests me much less.
lucia/norrix. merlin/nimue, them against the world, the lies they tell, the secrets they protect. the angst. they're so cute, i can't not ship them, even now. they're so messy, but i love their snark and quiet affection.
lucia/quinn. childhood friends reuniting and kissing? i'd like to see them have a romance tbh. two sides of the same coin, perhaps.
lucia/reimund. lmao, ricon was right, they're SO well suited for each other. i don't think they'd have a passionate romance, but it would be sensible and they'd have a neat partnership as rulers of two worlds. you could never doubt them as friends and co-partners, which is a good foundation tbh. together, they could have created a bright future.
lucia/ricon. it's the narkik, it's the gul dukat/kira nerys. hell yeah. they hate each other, and are drawn to each other, a whirlwind, where they're soaked in each other's blood. absolutely adore hero/villain ships where it makes them both consumed by contempt for each other.
modeus/kirsi. given that kirsi seems to be the only person modeus actively dislikes and ignores. i'm... kind of intrigued? we see so little of modeus' negativity, that i'm like. kind of want more of that pettiness ngl. and it'll be interesting to see if kirsi ever stops being dismissive of modeus, tbh.
modeus/norrix. frankenstein falling in love with his creation, i'm into it. god complex and all. norrix wanting to deal with everything in the worst way possible, and modeus struggling hard to keep up.
modeus/quinn. i'm curious! idk! they've had two meetings, and quinn was also like... oh??? you've changed!! i'd be curious to see them develop, and they seem like they're gonna have a sweet friendship, in the future.
norrix/reimund. i want the backstory SO much. that reimund felt bad for norrix, and wanted to look after him, but can't really figure out how to help. so he keeps him on the wings, bc at least that's better than nothing...
norrix/ricon. they'd be terrible together, but i'm like. yeah i crave the interactions so badly, and poor impulse control, with norrix thinking he should resist, but then... how can he? it's ricon! and ricon knowing this and taking full advantage...
i think that's it? like i'll pencil in lucia/octavia and barsabae/lucia as maybes, bc i want to see more interactions before deciding and i'm not sure what kind of relationship will be born. possibly quinn/v, idk. like i'm not sure that all of these qualify as romantic ships, but i'm also like... gosh, i think i'm intrigued by the potential and the strength of their character to want to see more interactions tbh.
but hey, the reread could change my mind, idk.

Okay, what do you think of the new season? I personally like it because I'm a simp for almost everyone there.. sooo, well actually there's almost never a time were I don't simp.. Anyways who are you favs right now and what do you think of Hatengus Clones? (I like Urogi the most) Anyhow, go stay hydrated and don't die on me, I will cry ((:
Hullo !! ☺️ I’m highkey not picky about the shows I watch 😆, so s3 of Demon Slayer would’ve had to be pretty terrible for me to not enjoy it. 🤪 For instance, I’m currently watching Black Clover, and apparently many ppl have a lot of qualms w/ the animation quality of certain episodes/arcs, but I’ve literally never felt dissatisfied. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
MOOD. Simping is a lifestyle. 😎😌🥰 My faves from specifically s3 thus far… def eager to see more Love and Mist Breathing, Genya’s cool af, and I’m sooo happy to see Tanjirou again. 😭💘 I also really liked watching the Kizuki interact w/ each other, and how could I forget Haganezuka ?? 👀😉 SO REALLY I’M IN THE SAME BOAT AS YOU aka almost everyone there. 💀😇
In terms of Hantengu’s clones, I’m a fan of Aizetsu. 🥺💙 Gimme sad, bby boi, m*rder king pls and ty.
I drank lots of water + tea today !! 🤗 Def plan on sticking around for ~a long time. 🫶🏽 Now you do the same !! 😤💓

i just thought of this so sorry if it’s poorly explained but here goes
when dean was getting fucked up by the hellhounds and/or when sam was cradling his dead body and kissing him or whatever, some of dean’s blood got in his mouth. he doesn’t think much of it, too busy numbly burying dean and trying to figure out what to do next.
the night after he buries dean, we still see what we saw at the end of s3, but when dean screams for sam, we see sam wake up from a nightmare. he now has a psychic link to dean and sees a lot of what happens to him in hell, which obviously makes him even more crazy about getting dean out.
now. in 1.14 sam moves a cabinet with his mind because he knew dean was in danger and it made his powers stronger, like a reflex. so imagine applying that logic to sam’s abilities when he knows that dean is in hell. he goes full force awakens like ava and starts gaining the abilities of the other special children, but they only work consistently when it relates to getting dean out.
there are a bunch of demons (like ruby) that worship him and still think of him as the boy king and all that. so he manipulate/manwhores his way into gaining some very loyal demon subjects. they help him find a way to get dean out, and they have their crazy reunion in hell where dean thinks he’s hallucinating because they’ve been torturing him by using sam’s image. once sam shows that it’s really him dean’s like “wtf are you doing here” and sam’s like “you called me” and dean’s like ?!??!
once he gets dean out, the show would spend WAY more time on the aftermath of hell and also not made sam such an asshole in s4 for the plot. so they have some actually productive convos and they both respect each other and trust each other the most. now sam already knows a lot of what dean went through, so he respects him even more, and dean doesn’t feel pressure to share things. and dean trusts sam’s powers because he got him out and because he only ever uses them to help people. also dean knows enough about demons now that he knows not all of them are the same type of bad, and if they wanna kill alastair, that’s cool with him.
dean is upset and feeling guilty that sam had to go to hell for him, and he’s like “you shouldn’t have done that, sammy.” And sam just shrugs like “hey, you pulled me out of the fire twice. i still owe you one.” and dean’s like Oh.
also part of the vision is that dean is Fucked up now. the spell or whatever they did to get him out healed the really major stuff but there’s no angel healing so he’s covered in scars and it’s fucking badass. sam also got a little scarred on the trip. they both have hell flashbacks because sam saw a lot of it and they’re really clingy cause they don’t want to lose each other again. sam gets really overprotective and dean is like dude chill but he also finds it cute
as for actual plot, they’re on the run from alastair who wants dean back because he shouldn’t have escaped. but demons don’t just come right at them because a) they heard about the boy king and know he can fuck their shit up and b) most demons are scared of dean now too because he was alastair’s prodigy. so it’s more like they’re getting stalked at times, and cops keep getting possessed and trying to frame/arrest them.
basically instead of angel vs demon it’s two factions of demons: the ones on sam’s side and the ones on lilith/ alastair’s side. and sam is like we should just kill them they deserve it! but over time they realize that being obsessed with revenge is not a good way to live and that’s what got dad killed so they act smart about it instead.
idk i think the more the show started having ever present looming season-long villains, the less fun it got. gimme more roadkill and the usual suspects and shit. i don’t Need the world to be ending i just need samdean drama
Hey guyssssss ummm if you have a moment can you please tell me your ideas on what spn would’ve looked like with no angels and how sam would’ve saved dean from hell im going insane
the longer the better but obvs if you just have one idea laid out i’m gonna eat it up i just need ANYTHING
can be wincest or gen there’s licherally no criteria i just wanna know because i need to devour more of them
