Reverend Daughter Gideon who starts leaving Harrow little lists of tasks to keep her feeling productive/out of her hair, making them longer and more elaborate since she keeps getting them done early and spending the rest of the day tailing her (whether to aid her or because she still doesn't trust her, neither of them are sure). On a day where she's planning to do something dangerous she includes something like "give me a little kiss :3" with the intention of pissing her off so much that she won't try to find her, but Harrow takes it deadly seriously.

Hey, anyone else think it's super duper suspicious that the Reverend Parents kicked off their abominable baby scheme pretty much simultaneously to Gideon Nav, key to the Tomb, landing on the Ninth? Gideon's more than a year but less than two years older than Harrow. So give it nine months gestation, a few months for prep and planning, and Gideon's arrival lands at exactly the place on the timeline you'd look for an inciting event to the creche massacre

And like, the Revs didn't seem shocked when they heard Harrow had opened the Tomb. They listened solemnly to Gideon spill the beans and then quietly shuffled themselves off the mortal coil, intending to take their pint sized single-serving generation with them. As far as we know they never pressured Harrow to continue the Ninth, either. They checked to make sure she was a powerful necromancer, and that was it. It's almost like they'd been waiting for this.

It's just a hell of a lot of coincidences piling up. Makes me wonder what they knew, who they'd been talking to. How much didn't they tell Harrow?

gideon tried courting nova in the only way she knew how to show affection: Being aggressive and annoying, and Nova said No Thanks <3, and gideons lowkey been bitter about it ever since </3 also my wife @ghostsessioned still has her nova design locked up in the wip vault so this harrow nova is subject to change in the future dont get attached to this design bonus content: gideon using her neck bones for evil (that's all she uses them for actually)

i love gideon the ninth because i think readers will naturally take what a narrator says at face value, because that is what we are conditioned to do. but gideon says so many blatantly incorrect things confidently because she doesn’t know better, or is outright lying, and it makes for SUCH an interesting reading experience.
