When people call out Elijah’s women of color girlfriends who were thrown away I just have to praise them because the fandom doesn’t say shit about those women. Elijah had all these women and there’s zero acknowledgement after the fact. Justice for Aya, Celeste, and Gia forever.

Hello 🤗 👋🏻 What do you think Elijah's type of women in looks and personality wise pls

I think Elijah enjoys a partner who can match his intellect and wit, someone who isn't afraid to speak their mind. I also think that while Elijah is a man with a lot of self control, he still appreciates a woman who's more passionate, wild, and free spirited.

If you look back at all his known partners, Tatia, Aya, Katherine, Celeste, Gia, Hayley and ... (sighhh) Antoinette.... they're all very different in a lot of ways, but they share a few traits in common: strong, passionate, smart, not afraid to tell him where to stick it.... and brown hair lol.

Elijah's choices say a lot about him. He’s this endlessly disciplined, composed guy who’s spent centuries trying to control every part of himself. So it makes sense that he’s drawn to women who are the opposite... bold, fiery, and unapologetically themselves. It’s like he’s looking for someone who reminds him how to live, how to feel, and maybe even how to let go every once in a while.

So yeah, Elijah has a thing for bad bitches. And honestly, I respect that.

Gilijah will always be so special to me. They are my second favorite Elijah ship, closely behind haylijah. I love Gia as a character and hated that they killed her off so unnecessarily. Much like Cami, she had so much more to offer. I wanted to know more about her past and see her help put New Orleans back together.

One thing I love about TO is that they dispensed with a lot of the "teen drama." While I loved the few jealous scenes between these two ships, I also loved how they were all so mature about it. Gia was willing to risk her life to protect Hayley and Hope for Elijah. Hayley was a bit petty with Gia but also was grateful to her. Elijah was respectful to Jackson and Jackson, while not always respectful, at least didn't throw a fit every time Hayley interacted with Elijah. They were all in a complicated situation and tried to make the best of it.

If the show wasn't in such a rush, I think it could have easily not killed off Jackson and Gia and still had a haylijah endgame. Gia knew she was not Elijah's endgame and what they had was temporary, even if she did truly fall for him. I don't know if she would have gone back to Marcel. She was interested in him but then he showed her no interest so she moved on. I initially did root for them even though I've always shipped marbekah (though less and less the more I think about it). But I just can't see Gia waiting around for Marcel. She would continue to help rebuild New Orleans and create her own family there. I like to think she would find a random vampire to love and create a life with. She needed to stay safe and get out of the Mikaelson drama. Maybe she and Cami could have run off together after spending so much time trying to save New Orleans.
