Niemand laat meer een traan om de CPN

De laatste Nederlandse communist die ik gekend heb was Ab Harrewijn, een uit de CPN afkomstig Tweede kamerlid voor GroenLinks die helaas in 2002 op 47-jarige leeftijd aan een hersenbloeding is overleden. Harrewijn, een beminnelijke, iets te zwaarlijvige man met een groot sociaal gevoel, was merkwaardigerwijze ook – voor zover ik weet – de laatste dominee die lid van de Tweede Kamer is geweest.…

Urns closed in Holland, first EU country to vote. And in the exit polls there is an advancement of the young Forum for Democracy (Fvd), born only three years ago, which would get 3 seats. But a result that is lower than expected (around 11%) and should be read in parallel with the collapse of the Pvv of Geert Wilders, who according to this survey would go from 4 seats to only 1. In total therefore the Eurosceptic rights would keep 4 total seats , with a transfer of seats from Pvv to the Fvd. The Ipsos exit polls published by the Dutch television give the Labor party their first party, which would win 5 seats. The green left of G1 also gains a seat, from 2 to 3, while the socialist party (Sp) loses one. The parties that make up the governing coalition are down by two seats: the Liberals of Freedom and Democracy (Vvd) earn 1 seat at the expense of Christian Democrats (Cda). The other party that joins the European Liberals, D66, loses two seats, passing from 4 to 2. The conservative coalition formed by ChristenUnie and Staatkundig Gereformeerde Partij is stable, with 2 seats. In the recent Dutch political elections of 2017, Wilders' Pvv had obtained 13.1% (in line with 13.3% of Europeans 5 years ago). The Forum voor Democratie two years ago had 1.8% of preferences in politics, while it had not yet been born in the last few years.
