X-Manson Annotated Chapter One
Hello, I've tried these other places. And I've tried it on here. I'm trying to find anyone who has any thoughts on this. X-Manson was a fanfiction written for the X-Men fandom in 2000 by Doctor Benway. I'm trying to uncover all of its secrets so if you can, please help me. This will be the shortest annotation page because this chapter is the shortest, i'll probably break up the next into multiple chunks. If you have any thoughts please message me, comment on, or reblog with your thoughts and I will reblog it in turn.
The she of this is Kitty Pryde. I don't know how old she's meant to be here. As of this moment, this little slice of the present. She has been on the run for ten years (probably).
The Balding Emaciated Man is #ScottSummers, one of the "Oriental" women is Betsy Braddock and the other, I cannot identify, but I speculate one is probably Jubilee or Karma. One of the other women is confirmed to be Jean Grey.
(The story Vanderbylt was sold by Xavier is true to comics Xavier. Xavier is directly descended from the Graymalkin family who are dutch in origin. Though, here Xavier's history is a mystery. That's a rhyme, so you know it's fun.
The Roster Stands at seven by Miss Grundy's count:
Charles Xavier
Logan
Bobby Drake
Hank McCoy
Scott Summers
Warren WorthingtonIII
Jean Grey
I think she is exaggerating about the nature of her being manipulated psychically by Xavier. Pay attention to the Pate Line.
Another reference to Tangiers.
(Erich, the more correct spelling of Erik. He has this name because it was written in 2000 before Magneto was given the name Max Eisenhardt. We see Tangiers again. Why was holocaust survivor Gabrielle Haller in Morocco? Cain Marko is referenced here, which is odd. Any thoughts on that?)
(Warning if you haven't read it yet, there is a description of S.A. This presents a darker version of the conception of David Haller.)
(I have no idea who Georg is, i googled his name and I was presented with Jörg Haider, former leader of the Freedom Party of Austria.)
Anti-Zionist Magneto
Worldbuilding shows how Erich Lehnsherr has changed the world by existing within it.

That’s a fine stack of good reading.
My Verso order arrived today. I took advantage of their current sale (on until Jan). I’m heading off to the US this weekend, but the great thing about these guys is that they provide an ecopy of the book when the physical book is purchased from their website! Really keen to give these ones a go. My nana has recommended Monbiot to me and I’ve previously read and loved both Ta-Nehisi Coates and Rebecca Solnit. The others just caught my eye.

The Song of Our Scars: The Untold Story of Pain (Haider Warraich, 2022)
“In the eighteenth century, the British faced a dilemma.
They had developed an insatiable taste for tea but lacked anything they could sell in return to pay for it.
China was a huge potential market, but what could the British possibly sell them? “We possess all things,” the Qianlong emperor wrote to George III, “and have no use for your country’s manufactures.”
The British decided to change that.
The East India Company forced the farmers and peasants of the Indian subcontinent to grow opium on an industrial scale previously unseen in human history.
Not only did they sell the drug back to the same South Asians whose toil they had monetized, but they aggressively used smugglers to infiltrate China and create a thriving market for opium there.
While normal economic principles state that increased supply can be detrimental, opium’s highly addictive nature turned the tables, with excess supply fueling its own demand.
This strategy was extremely effective: Chinese opium smokers spent more than twice on their habit than the entire budget of the Chinese government.
In response, the emperor banned the recreational use of opium in 1799, but the British remained undeterred.
Matters reached a crescendo in 1839, when Chinese authorities seized more than a thousand tons of opium held by mostly British smugglers.
At the behest of the smugglers, the British government demanded the full value of the opium back.
When the emperor refused, the British sent in their warships, and thus began the First Opium War.
The war ended in 1842 with Britain emerging as the handy victor and seizing Hong Kong, which it would retain for another 155 years.
The British would go on to wage several additional wars, forcing China to legalize the import of opium.
At the same time, the sale of opium remained banned on British shores—unless the sale was to someone of Chinese or Indian origin.”

X-Manson by Doctor Benway - annotated by Tsar 5
X-Manson or X-Mansion is an X-Men fanfiction written by someone under the username Dr Benway; because there is no discussion of it online, I have decided to annotate it piece by piece to dissect it via Tumblr. If you are interested in helping, please message me with things that i have missed or questions. My text notes will be like this but in pink, while Benway's story will be written in white. I will mark text with the story in red like this to drive attention to narration points that will be important later.
tw. Discussions of rape, please be advised.
[Shot: Binyamin Kupermann]
BK: Rape. No doubt about it. Practically necrophilic rape if he started when we think he did. Cocky bastard thought Lehnsherr was a vegetable, just like everyone else did.
[Shot: The Lehnsherrs]
EL: He thought I was a vegetable, fit only for emptying bedpans. Watching him awoke something deep within me. Not only my soul, but also my mind. I knew that he was doing something unusual, something I would have to guard against.
Int: No one suspected that he was a psi?
EL: Not then, no. I played dumb until I could read again. It was terrible, but I knew I had no other choice. It was pure luck that he assumed that I was still vegetative. When I could read, I researched his background and found no records about his background in the hospital files or anywhere that he claimed to have been. I made a file of evidence and took it to the hospital administrator. He summoned Xavier and they had a meeting. I went to see the administrator later and he tried to fire me. Xavier was there, working the man like a puppet, but he couldn't work me. He told me he would kill me. I think he tried to do something, but he failed. He took out a pistol and tried to shoot me. It was then that I discovered that I had a special ability as well.
*I'm not entirely sure why this is. The canon about Magneto's helmet stopping Xavier's powers wasn't a thing yet and from this story, it seems as though it never was.
Int: With magnetism.
EL: Oh yes. No control, however. The bullet wounded the administrator. Xavier ran away in the confusion.
GL: Erich.
EL: Too much?
GL: I think.
EL: Georg! Georg! Where is that blasted man?
*not too far off from his attitude towards Toad.
GL: Probably preening himself in front of a mirror again.
GH: Mein herr?
[Caption: Georg Haider, chauffeur to the Lehnsherrs]
EL: Could you please take my wife back to the villa?
GH: Jawohl, Herr Doktor-Professor!
EL: Now where were we?
Int: The administrator had just been shot.
EL: Ah, yes. Well, there was quite a scandal, but Binyamin got to the bottom of it very quickly. Even so, Xavier escaped without a trace.
Int: And after that, you married Frau Professor Haller?
EL: I fell for her, quite hard. I could not help myself. So young, pregnant, so alone. We raised her son as our own.
Int: David Lehnsherr.
*David Haller (Legion)
EL: Yes.

The background of Haider Ali’s piece is the black night sky with starts twinkling on it.” Black is an essential color of the universe .It is due to the black color of the sky that we are able to see the stars. Every Artist in the world realizes the importance and beauty of the black color”, explained the truck artist beautifully. “ALLAH Almighty has made every human equal. 𝙇𝙞𝙡𝙞 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙁𝙇𝘼𝙐𝙉𝙏 (5/6/2020) 𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙭𝙞𝙢𝙤 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩
