Tats, I adore this question. I'm going to be that person and say "I love them all!" But I have a few I am giving a little extra love to right now.

The Price of Pegging. The only complete work I have published. A love letter to myself and my gender identity, wrapped up in some steamy hot smut. 😄

Everything else is WIPs, surprising no one who knows me. 😉 These are in no specific order.

Corporal Distraction - I love this premise. I love a "forbidden" romance and the consequences that come with it. I love that it's got a twist to it. I love the aesthetics and tweaks I've given both canon and OC characters while keeping to their original source material.

Brix - The first CoD fanfic I started. Inspired by @the-californicationist's "Gunslinger" (AO3) and Thing's "How Many Days I'll Bleed" (AO3) stories. I consider these two authors to be two dear close friends of mine as well. Also, a bit of catharsis for my shitty experience working in the orchard industry.

Museum Muse - Puppy play. Kink Dynamics. Fat OC. Art as a means of learning to be loved. Just...ooey gooey cuteness. (Needs serious re-working, but I adore the premise.)

Fruit Cocktails - I adore the idea of different species of bats being vampires. It's a fun premise and one I want to explore further. I just need to improve at my murder mystery skills. The layers of nuance and worldbuilding I have here are delicious.

they deal with it in a totally healthy and productive way of course. JUST KIDDING, can you imagine?

right off the bat Theodore gets defensive. he doesn't want to admit that he did anything wrong, he doesn't think that he did anything wrong. he jumps right into excuses and justification.

and Rosalie. oh sweet Rosalie. she might argue the point for a bit, but after a while she'll just shut down. she's used to being ignored and dismissed, and if she's not being heard, she doesn't see a point in continuing.

and they can bicker back and forth but as soon as she stops fighting with him, that's when he panics. he won't apologize, but he will soften his approach. lower his voice, pause until she replies, etc

to be clear, he never yells at her, but he has issues and any kind of criticism triggers his fight response. he's gentle with her, or as gentle as the heir of death is able to be. most of his anger is self-directed. he doesn't want to hurt her, he hates himself for causing her any kind of distress, he hates seeing his mother in his mannerisms

eventually, if they don't come to an agreement, they at least come to an understanding. there is not a single thing that she could do that would make his love for her waver, and there's nothing that he could do that she would not forgive.

The chapter with Thomas's nightmare, when Gemma and the others are drawn to him to make sure he is okay, gave me the thought that if something happens to the King or Monty there, it could be written from Gemma's pov?

As for the polycule, what if Monty got sick, like his first human cold, and the others doted on him. Just worked together to keep their crow as comfy as possible 🥹🥰

Cats had a sixth sense, everyone knew that - a nose for danger, for threats beyond those of cruel humans or wild predators. A sense for things that went beyond the natural world, dangers that lurked in the realms so few creatures on this earth could sense.

Even a kitten could smell danger when it was so near. And Gemma smelled it now, a noxious thing circling around her King.

She had been asleep next to him, curled up against the radiating warmth of his human shape when she had felt the first stirrings of it, a distant reek of rot and brimstone. As she rose, fur standing on end along her spine, it was immediately clear there was nothing near, no true scent in their home that would speak of a threat. Yet her King stank of fear-sweat, rolled and thrashed in his sleep. Something was hurting him, something she could not sink teeth or claws into, could not pounce upon or tear to shreds.

A sharp yowl summoned those who had not already scented it, who had not already begun to gather around the Cat King's bed, a feline army with no enemy to face. Gemma dared to stay closest, tiny paws scrambling up over the heavy blankets, scaling her King's chest until she was practically nose-to-nose with him. Ears flattened tight to her skull, claws digging in to retain her balance as he jerked abruptly upward, his own yowl of pain and anguish echoing through the room.

Anxiously, paws kneaded the fabric and flesh beneath them, her eyes wide with alarm. "What's happening? What's wrong?"

He saw the fear in her, in them all - sensed it, just as they did, the threat that lurked beyond the waking world, beyond humans and their foolishness. Something threatening him, their King, their protector, the one who ensured their safety in this dull grey town. He should have been turning outward with teeth and claws, tearing down whatever threatened him, as he always had before.

Instead a hand just stroked softly over her fur, though she could feel the slight tremor in it. "Nothing. Just... a dream."

She could still taste fear, taste danger. But to comfort her King, all she did was purr, curling up against his chest until his heart beat steadily again, until the reek of panic faded.

A dream. But when whatever had caused the dream showed itself, she would be ready. They would be ready, with fang and with claw, and nothing would ever hurt him again.

— Gemma’s fav holiday is Christmas! She loves being able to buy gifts for her parents and the few friends she has, especially Eli. She also just loves having family dinner with all her relatives and will sometimes go away for the holidays , depending on who’s hosting. When it’s at her house, she always always invites Eli to spend it with them.

🌴 PALM TREE — does your oc have a green thumb? do they enjoy gardening?

— Tragically Gemma was not blessed with the art of gardening, that’s more in her mom’s area. She’ll help her out if she needs it but other than that, she prefers her plants and flowers on a canvas or in clay.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY WITH MOTHER, FATHER, SON AND DAUGHTER — how many people are in your oc's immediate family? how many people are in your oc's extended family? do they have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc? who in their family are they closest with? are they close with their birth family, or do they have a found family?

— Gemma’s immediate family consists of her mom and dad! She would’ve had a twin but you know, she accidentally killed them with her powers. She has two aunts and an uncle on her mom’s side and an uncle on her dad’s, so she also has plenty of cousins but unfortunately she doesn’t get to see them much since they’re all spread about and she especially doesn’t see them after being sent to Xavier’s school. Her grandparents are very much alive on both sides and Gemma enjoys spending time with them whenever she can. She considers Eli something closer than a brother, her platonic soulmate is more fitting.

You clarified in DM's that you were curious about how their first DM goes. I haven't gotten there yet, so I don't exactly know. 😅 I just know the circumstances.

So, instead, I'll offer you this: the stories behind their usernames and some of the forums they are frequent in. (Usernames fuckin' suck to come up with, okay? Especially because John and Daisy are both alive at the advent of the internet.)

John's username: TinkerKelpie93

In my canon, kiddo John was the kid that took everything apart and put it back together - just to see how it worked. The radio, the clock, the lawn mower, you name it, he could fix it (most likely). Kid was building inventions in the garage where his father worked with scrap parts cast aside from the vehicles repaired.

His granda (his Da's dad) encouraged him up until his death when John was in his early teens. He told stories to wee John about his ancestors, the Scottish Travellers (from my research, they're similar to/adjacent to Romani populations in Scotland- if a Scot wants to correct my history, please do! I want to do this right. 💚) who are/were called "Tinkers" (usually in a negative connotation - literally meaning "itinerant tinsmith").

So Tinker is a bit of a historical nod to his family history and his tendency to "tinker" with things when he's thinking (hello neurodivergency, it's good to see you. 😅)

His love for Scottish Mythology (and the Kelpie part of his name) is courtesy of his Gran (Mum's Mom). She was a school teacher, and loved teaching the mythos of the region. They had a place on the edge of a small loch, and she would always warn him away from the water with a reminder of the stories about the kelpies trying to drown children. As he grew into his artistic practice, he did this detailed Kelpie artwork to give her for the holidays featuring her house, the swing by the loch and the landscape with the fearful mythological creature in the center of the lake that still hangs over her mantle. This John loves oil pastels and charcoal (it's the tactile part), but will make do with pencils when he's in country.

And 93 because, well, he was born April [redacted], 1993. This man's an Aries, y'all. (Bite me on the date. I have my timeline to back me up.)

Daisy's username: IrisOfTheLake

Daisy's a symbology and history nerd. (Her love for mythology and art is how she ended up getting a degree specializing in the Still Life paintings of the Dutch Golden Age by female artists, but that's another story. She almost studied Arthurian Legends instead, but decided art history and preservation were her true academic love.)

Her aunt has a prolific collection of irises - she's incredibly active in the British Iris Society and Daisy spent many many seasons after school helping her dig and divide them to share with the neighbors and the other members. She even helped her aunt with cross-pollinating and some breeding attempts (though her aunt didn't progress very far down that road for reasons).

Iris is also the Greek Goddess of messages, often said to arrive on rainbows. Iris flowers hold a number of meanings in the floral language, including hope and wisdom. (Can you see where I'm going with this? I hope so.)

"OfTheLake" directly refers to the legends of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake. (I told y'all, she was a nerd about this shit.) Y'know, the one that gives the sword Excalibur to Arthur and disposes of Merlin? That Lady of the Lake. Badass bitch if I ever heard of one, who holds a lot of wisdom and knowledge to help others achieve their goals.

Why IrisOfTheLake? It sounded good and smashed two of her early fascinations and hobbies together. 😊 (And the irony of our girl having not one but two flower nicknames makes me giggle.)

Both John and Daisy recognize each other from lurking and posting in a number of forums together, including art history and BDSM. John regularly shares his more refined drawings (usually done on leave or during long waiting periods), and Daisy is regularly active in the floral symbiology threads, talking about the language of flowers and meaning and bullshit like that. (I just realized I have to write all this, fuck me.)

Anyway, they bond over some dipshit in the BDSM forum espousing some gender essentialism bullshit - men are doms, women are subs, blah blah blah. Daisy has an eloquent take on it, John just wants to thrash them for being so black and white and says as much.

my OC is called mimi, she's a twi'lek pop star that rises to fame in the clone wars era. she's really girly and loves fashion, performing and nightlife (and the colour pink!) she's a lesbian, and has a tendency to fall for the bad girls, especially the women that know who they are and what they want. she loves partying and has a loud and vibrant outward personality, but deep down she is insecure and unsettled due to trauma. she can be over emotional and irrational, and develops substance abuse issues later in her career. she has a fierce need to be loved, a dazzling sense of humour, and an affinity for animals. you can usually find her giggling and gossiping with whoever she sets her eyes on. she's a troubled sweetheart with a fierce flair for a fashion, a killer voice and a dream.

This might be the easiest matchup, because Mimi would be absolutely perfect with my OC, Gemma Sayre!

Gemma is a party girl with a wild streak, and bad girl vibes. Think ‘Vigilante Sh*t’ by Taylor Swift, but she has a good heart. She’s charismatic, loyal, and attentive. She takes her speeder bike everywhere, and is a relentless flirt. Her dad is a weapons manufacturer, her mom is a socialite, and her sister is a lobbyist, so Gemma rubs elbows with senators, the rich, and famous all the time.

A ship with these two would look like:

They meet when Gemma sees Mimi performing, and she’s instantly intrigued, and pulling all kinds of strings to get an introduction.

She’d wine, dine, and spoil Mimi from the get go, and over time they’d become each other’s best friend and confidant.

Gemma would take it upon herself to be Mimi’s fiercest protector from anyone who even thought about taking advantage of her talent or wasting her time.

Other people do not get the depth of their personalities or their feelings for each other. They definitely just see two “It Girls”, and don’t realize the two of them are both so much more than they let on to the world. They allow each other to be unapologetically themselves.

Gemma would do absolutely anything to make sure Mimi knows that she is valued for who she is not just what she can do.

🎲mostly I've been struggling with a dry spell for almost 6 months so like the Sahara and it's terrible! I've left people hanging on fic they have been so sweetly supportive of. But I feel like I am coming out of it! (that's one of my "good things")

🪐so as I said getting to the other side of my dry spell is very good!! I had a cancer... question and I just got then news that it's all good! and I am getting a raise at work. since some of these are repeats I will add a lovely picture of my cat

How did your Cobra Kai/Karate Kid OCs come to be?

So, the first was Nicky Connors and she came about the same way most of my OCs came about - to give one of my favourite characters a friend, with the added layer of 'what if Johnny had a friend outside of karate who tried to help him but wasn't able to' and I was drawn to this concept as it developed into 'what if Johnny had a friend outside of Cobra Kai who still wanted to learn karate but wasn't allowed in Cobra Kai itself because John Kreese is an asshole' and I really loved this idea, and the OC herself as she grew, of how she sees Johnny and the rest of the Cobras as friends, as people who are just being led down a very bad path and yet being unable to really stop that because she's only one person, and sometimes one person isn't enough to help...only for it to turn out that she does have some influences (and later, her friendships with all of them get repaired after they make amends.)

As for her adopted son James in the CK era, I'd already decided that Nicky couldn't have biological kids, but wasn't bothered by this in the slightest and was happy to adopt - she was going to have a whole bunch of kids to start with, but honestly I think just the one is fine.

Now, the Barnes family started out as side characters in my first Mike fic, trying to settle (the ghosts of my past). I wrote this around three months before S5 came out and by this point I'd given up on watching past S4's mid-point because the whole thing was so bad, but I'd heard rumours that Mike would be returning in S5 and would likely join Cobra Kai and that pissed me off because of all the antagonists he has the least stakes in the situation - like he didn't know and probably wouldn't care about the history, he was literally paid to be there and sure, he lost out on the big payday but like. That was ultimately down to Kreese and Silver for making it complicated instead of just reopening CK anyway.

So then I thought 'what if Mike went and had a normal life with a family and had no interest in being dragged into another insane revenge plot', so that's what happened, and what I wrote of Leah and Elaine and Alex I liked (especially Elaine and her plan to set fire to the CK merchandise that was sent, like the chaotic streak was there already). Elaine herself became more established after S5 came out - I didn't watch it, but I was delighted to find out my prediction about Mike was correct, like he did go on to have a normal life! And he was still in the Valley so his family would be too, and I was always annoyed by the Sam-Tory fight so I thought 'what if someone stopped it' followed by 'what if that someone was Elaine' and hey presto, a fic was born! And I also gave more details about her older sister Sarah because I hadn't mentioned her yet. Leah became more developed after I took what canon gave us - co-owner of the furniture store, which she'd inherited from her father who had also been Mike's boss back in the day.

Gemma is an interesting one - because she initially started out as Johnny's daughter from a previous relationship, Robby's older sister, though the jury was out on whether Johnny knew about her or not. This version of her I had for at least a few months, but it didn't go ahead because:

When it comes to creating legacy OCs, especially children, I have to have some kind of connection to the canon character in question, some element of 'they'd be a good dad' and I just wasn't getting that with Johnny

I also didn't see how I could make this story fresh - Johnny's already abandoned one kid, do we really need to see that rehashed?

Then when I was writing my Cobra Kai Mini Rewrites I realised I was much more invested in having him repair his relationship with his actual, canon kid - but I wasn't going to give up on the OC after how much work I'd put into it, so I thought ' what if she was his cousin', which soon sparked off a whole thing about Laura's family because we know very little, but my headcanon was always that she was kicked out at 18 after falling pregnant with Johnny and I thought 'what if she had a much younger sister who came looking for her decades later and had a kid' because I love tragic family dynamics, but also I just found the idea of Johnny having an aunt who could be his sister and a cousin who could be his niece, because the age thing makes it a bit strange for him.

Also I liked the idea of having the running joke of 'I know she looks like my kid but she's not my kid' with most people Gemma runs into assuming this because they look very similar - and sometimes she'll play up to this solely to troll Johnny because it's very funny to do so.
