Happy Moon Day!

Today we celebrate one of my favorite holidays! The 55th anniversary of the day humans landed on the surface of the moon by LM-5, "Eagle" carrying Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.

To celebrate, I thought I'd share some pictures I've taken with three important project Gemini capsules. Specifically, the first capsules flown by each of Apollo 11's future crew members, years before they were selected for their famous voyage.

I always thought these were the thing that failed, but they were more likely just things investigated in the hunt for the source of the failure. Seems you got to see the genuine article responsible for Neil & Dave's Wild Ride™️ (as @ms-dos5 likes to call Gemini VIII)

Yesterday (March 16th) was the 58th anniversary of Gemini VIII, one of many times Neil Armstrong almost died and the mission patch is my icon so I figure I ought to explain what happened

Essentially, it was a Gemini mission intending to demonstrate rendezvous and docking in space. Neil Armstrong and Dave Scott were in their Gemini spacecraft, and were to dock with an Agena target vehicle, which was an unmanned piece of equipment that always seemed to have problems and regularly got exploded by the unreliable Atlas rockets that launched them. That’s why Gemini VI rendezvoused with Gemini VII, because their Agena blew up. Great track record there. Anyway alongside the docking they were also scheduled to do a spacewalk as well as an array of scientific experiments, hence the patch: it was covering a spectrum of research.

Their docking went according to plan. Then, while the ship was out of radio contact, the docked Gemini/Agena started spinning uncontrollably. This was understandably a bad time.

Because they had had so many issues with the Agena, their first assumption was that it was a problem with an Agena thruster. Scott undocked them from the Agena. They started spinning faster, reaching nearly one rotation a second, near to the point where a human would pass out. They realize that no, it wasn’t the Agena, it was a thruster on the normally reliable Gemini capsule which was stuck on.

Armstrong, a quick-thinking level-headed test pilot, quickly taps into fuel typically reserved for landing and evens out the spin so they don’t yknow. Die. And as much as they want to stay in space to complete their experiments, procedure stated that after you tapped into the landing fuel, you had to return to earth. Thus, they reenter the atmosphere and make a safe splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.

Last month, I got to see the piece of the thruster which malfunctioned and almost killed Armstrong and Scott:

After the incident, Scott would go on to fly two Apollo missions, Apollo 9 and 15. Armstrong would be the first man on the moon on Apollo 11.

Anyway. Just a little space travel history for you.

Also. I personally believe Tom Hiddleston is a sidereal Virgo ASC. I am for the first nakshatras of the rashi. If he is, I wonder if Loki is more Uttara Phalguni because Uttara Phalguni Sun native Jeremy Irons has voiced the character Scar. He parallels Loki a lot. And also, Hela is literally played by a Krittika Sun! And she is very similar to Loki, too. So there's a lot of Sun in the theme of fighting for the throne. Will be researching this because I'm seeing an heirdom overlap between Sun and Ketu again! (Interestingly, with Tom Hiddleston's possible Uttara Phalguni ASC and Ashwini Moon, he has played King Henry V who has also been played by other Solar and Ketu natives (such as Uttara Phalguni native Michael Sheen played the character, and double Ketu native Timothee Chalamet has as well. Ashwini Moon Adrian Lester played Henry V. King Henry VIII has been portrayed by double Mula native Jonathan Rhys Meyers as well. More importantly, Uttara Phalguni Sun Jeremy Irons has played King Henry IV!!! I also made the connection of Ketu nakshatras to King Arthur). I'll be definitely coming back to this pattern for Sun nakshatras).

The green seems to be associated with the Mercury rashis. In vedic astrology, the colour of the nakshatras Ardra and Hasta is green. They fall in the Gemini and Virgo rashi respectively. Scar's voice actor is a Virgo Sun, while I personally suspect Tom Hiddleston having Virgo ASC as well. Both these villainous/anti-hero characters are known for their association with green.

Kovu is the son of Scar, and I love the green trait mark in the eyes. He is voiced by Uttara Phalguni, likely in Virgo, Moon Jason Marsden.

When actors have played the same characters, or very similar characters, there tends to be a synastry! Loki and Scar are literally the same character, let's be so fucking serious. And Uttara Phalguni is a very ambitious nakshatra so the power-trip tendencies are often the negative impulse of it, due to the themes that define it. And Loki & Scar's counterparts are Uttara Phalgunis themselves.

And not the only Tom Hiddleston-Jeremy Irons connection; they both played the historic figure, Uttara Phalguni Sun native, F. Scott Fitzgerald!

F. Scott Fitzgerald was also Ashwini Moon, and Tom Hiddleston's possible Uttara Phalguni ASC would mean he has Ashwini Moon. But Hasta is common in witchcraft, magic, fraudulence, impersonation and deception. So Hasta is also possible as well, as it is still Virgo.

This scene has always, always gave me Hasta energy. Either way, with a plain Virgo ASC, that puts his Jupiter and Saturn in the 1H in HASTA. So 1H would still be in Hasta and that's valid enough. Also the possible Saturn in the 1H makes sense, I so see it on his appearance.

This is all speculation, of course. I'd be very excited to be proven right.

On this day in history, August 5th, 1930, Neil Armstrong was born. Though he will always be known for being the first man on the moon, Armstrong had an accomplished career as both a military and civilian pilot, test piloting the X-15 rocket plane for the NACA (later NASA).

After being selected as an astronaut candidate in 1962, Armstrong was commander of Gemini VIII in 1966, narrowly saving the life of himself and fellow astronaut Dave Scott when a thruster malfunction caused their capsule to begin spinning uncontrollably.

In 1969, at age 38, Armstrong took mankind's first steps on another planet as the commander of the Apollo 11 mission.

Astrological Associations of the Tarot Major and Minor Arcana - Cheat Sheet

As someone who dabbles in astrology (and lightly in planetary magic), I recently decided to include the astrological correspondence of the Golden Dawn for the tarot in my practice and I found it to be an amazing additional information in some cases.

For example, when you need an idea of timing, or when you need to define a person and their ''vibe'', or add a layer to the meaning of the cards. Particularly useful for Court cards which are notoriously hard to understand.

This is merely a list of correspondences or association and will not go into detail about the whys, because there are many different opinions on this depending on the author and time period. So this is just a synthesized version of what I personally use. I also need to point out that I use the RWS tarot mostly, not Thoth (although it was my first deck and I really need to get back to it at some point). So if you want to dive deeper, please visit the forum thread that has interesting discussions. For Minor Arcana, here from Biddy Tarot. For the Court cards specifically, here is what I found.

Note for the Court Cards: Pages are just their element in the most youthful/undeveloped form. The other Courts have two signs, that's because they rule the last 2 thirds of the signs + the first third of the next sign. It's a bit hard to wrap your head around but it adds necessary depth to their meaning.

Aries

Paulina Porizkova (19°): signed the most lucrative partnership in 1988, a $6 million deal with Estee Lauder for seven years, the first Central European woman to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue

Vera Lehndorff (22°): known professionally as Veruschka, she is considered the "first German supermodel.

I was at the Udvar-Hazy Center with @ms-dos5 and spotted a Lucite-encased thruster from Gemini VIII (Neil Armstrong's first space flight), and thought "wait, haven't I seen that somewhere before?

Sure enough, I have, but I also haven't. The Armstrong Air & Space Museum also has a Gemini VIII thruster encased in Lucite. Except it's a mirror image. Is this the same thruster, but from the other side? It would make sense for them to have removed more than one for study after one of them failed open and caused the Gemini craft to spin out of control.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ 9H Stellium people could spend their whole life being paid to study. You could also devote yourself to religion at some point of your life.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Chiron 9H people can be triggered by religion or spirituality when young, then when they get older, make peace with it, and actually embrace those parts.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Jupiter 4H can result in a person never be homeless. My aunt has this placement and she always found the cutest place to live.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Venus in 10H is such a good placement in my opinion. Venus person always believe in 10H person's abilities and always encourage them!

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Sun conjunct Jupiter Synastry between family members can be a really good thing. It's a sign both planets feel good and happy, they always see the better side of life together. Sun person feels delighted and always in good mood, and Jupiter person always feels like they can teach something good to Sun, and they can also feel glad to be able to help Sun person.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Saturn in 5H Synastry can mean that Saturn person feels like they are not good enough for 5H person, or they can feel like they will never be together. The house person can put limitations to the relationship.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ I have noticed that people with Venus 2H LOVES to spend money on their dates. They also love to treat themselves regularly.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Neptune 11H people can often have fake friends around them or just have no real friendships around them. They can actually never truly see that either.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Leo Moon people are always so popular lol!

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Neptune 1H can give the same vibe to me, I have noticed people are usually very obsessed with them. And a lot of them have a crush on those natives.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ I have noticed that a lot of men I felt really attracted to had similar placements to my Future Spouse (tho I didn't know astrology so well back then so I didn't know). I wonder if one can meet people for some times with the same placements as their FS.
