I headcanon that Delta has some sort of repressed trauma where he doesn't really acknowledge it unless he's close to death. What's your view of this?

I wouldn’t be surprised if this how Delta tends to operate for a few years of being an Outcode. I mean, as soon as he was able to leave his AU, he immediately jumped to focusing on trying to protect everyone else.

And by the time Sans was giving up, expressing suicidal ideation by just wanting to be with his bro, the kid gives him a pep talk and a power up and Delta once again buries it.

Personally I think Delta leans in a lot to his identity as, well, Delta—both Sans and the bravery soul, as if Delta is a gem fusion lmao. It helps create distance from what happened when he was still only Sans, before absorbing the bravery soul.

And his moments of inner turmoil and exhaustion and trauma are often expressed internally—as himself, as just Sans—when Delta has given up. And often the bravery soul, Beta, has to encourage him to keep going. And as a result, things from Delta’s life as Sans tend to just get buried.

However I do believe that eventually all that repression from Sans will catch up, perhaps shown by Delta becoming increasingly more and more unstable. But thankfully Delta has some wonderful friends and a cute puppy and some therapy lined up.

(I’m also curious how others view the absorption of the bravery soul + Sans’ soul. Is delta just sans—used as a multiverse nickname—or is delta moreso like a fusion. Perhaps both.)

(On another note, I found this cool song that makes me think of Delta.)

Beings and entities, @i-am-as-normal-as-you-are has once again approached me with an amazing concept, so we present to you... a fusion, Steven Universe style! we're calling him Charwin because we can't be creative all the time.

AND there's lore. It's us, of course there's lore.

I tried to include it in the comics themselves, but basically, there was a case of dissappearing ghosts. Just like Esther, the people behind this were trying to use the pure energy to their advantage. These rocks are supposed to amplify the energy, but it kept resulting on the ghosts dissipating. The boys were captured and experimented on (yes that's horrifying. Not pictured here because... the reverse verse is angsty enough, so I wanted this one to be a bit more fluffy), but since they both went through Hell, they're stronger than your average ghost, and the rocks stayed on! The fusion was an unexpected side effect.

Plus he can make a weapon appear! it is just an oil lamp though.

I like giving him a receding hairline cus. medic(has hair) + heavy(bald) = less hair. mathematics. The first drawing is my puny amateurish attempt at Rebecca Sugar's beautiful doodle art style. (I think I nailed the face and hair tho hehe)

They only really form him when they both feel like wreaking havoc. he's impulsive, inattentive, hyperactive, he has no self preservation, and he's low-key dumb. When his senses kick in is usually when they unfuse. He can't see for shit and has to constantly remind himself to put on his glasses

In the running for my all time favorite incredibly niche naruto fanfiction trope has to be "Obito somehow knocks Kakashi up (omegaverse, trans Kakashi, whatever, doesn't matter) and fucking dies before either of them realize (with things going as they did in canon) leaving Kakashi to deal with the consequences and do his best to pretend like the very obviously an Uchiha baby does not belong to Obito. Bc Obito is literally The Worst and very much well known to be at fault for most of the war. But also there's literally only 4 Uchiha out there so his options to cover this up are incredibly limited"

Love when they involve Sasuke as an uncle and go down the route of pretending Itachi was the dad bc at least Itachi was exonerated for his crimes while Obito remained The Big Bad(tm) in the hearts and minds of quite literally everyone in every country, so like, lesser evil. Very funny

So have one drawing of me attempting to do a Heavy + Medic fusion (which I chose an Andalusite for), who are being lil' shits towards Scout. And one drawing of Peridot!Engineer in my more chibi-like style :]

(some small ideas I had below the keep reading line)

So, first off, I couldn't really see what gem Medic was, so I decided to just go with Red Agate. Mostly 'cause it's a gem that's a mix of red and white colors.

Now onto the lil' idea I had, which is Medic's power. Sure, it could be fun that he had just straight up healing powers (even if it's probably just Diamonds that have that power, but let's ignore that), but I thought about something else: An ability to enhance other gem's abilities. The ability only works when close to/touching the another gem, which- at the beginning- would mostly be gems that had moreso elemental, psychic-esque powers, or something else long-range rather than the gems who's prowess was mostly their brute strength or speed.

However. When fused with another gem, that enhancement ability of Medic's is way stronger. For Heavy, he will be way more physically powerful than he would be fused with anyone else. For Sniper, his arrows will not only multiply, but home towards their target or have some sort of elemental effect to it. Etc. Etc.

A FRIEND AND I'S STEVEN UNIVERSE AU CHARACTERS.

Steven Universe has been my favourite show since 2019 when I properly watched it from start to finish. I remember crying when I realized it was over, it was such a beautiful show that has forever lived in my heart.

I created this Future AU in October 2023 with a close friend who had also fallen in love with the franchise. I created Tous/Peridot, and soon after, my friend came to me with this outstanding creative idea for a character of her own. That's when I helped her design Opalite, a one of her kind artificially made gem prototype. The AU I set quite a while after the death of Steven himself.

A very brief rundown of the AU:

Opalite was artificially made by the Diamonds through a new project process that was left to be developed by tech gems (like peridots) way back — a bit before pink diamond was announced shattered. With the late Era 1 materials they had, it was designed to use artificial materials for creating gems rather than using the minerals from organic planets. This would allow gems to be made on Homeworld with 100% designed perfection, and no loss of their decreasing materials along with other reasons to soon be discovered. 

The project was forgotten about through the SU saga until years after the man himself perished. It was discovered again during White Diamond’s overpowering thirst for a new era of conquering.

Opalite, the long-forgotten prototype design was already prepared to be tested…

Through the story she meets and becomes close to Tous — a funky little peridot who helps Opalite discover who she is in this empire, and universe.

During the story, Tous and Opalite end up fusing. The before and after story is… lengthy so use your imagination for now. They become the beautiful Labradorite.

Along with Opalite living as a high-class gem, she was given a pearl to take care of her. I don’t currently have a design for her :(
