So I got to see these two beauties today! It was 6ft apart and in the garden, but we got to see each other without a screen and lots of miles between us 😂🥰 I hadn’t seen Lucy in person in nearly a year (the last time was when she surprised me with a visit when I came off the last of my opioids) and I hadn’t seen Kera since before lockdown started. It was so lovely to see them in person; zoom and FaceTime are awesome, but not quite the same as seeing each other face to face ❤️ We sat in the sun (we were so lucky with the weather! I had my big coat out just in case 😂), eating some of mum’s amazing cooking, catching up, and in mine and Lucy’s case, enjoying a gin cocktail 🍹😂 (my mum looks for recipes just for her now... she also sent her home with a to go cup of gin cocktail for in the car 😂 apparently it’s our new tradition for pandemic visits!). I’ve had a bit of a tough week, but today reminded me how lucky I am to have such incredible friends ❤️❤️❤️ I really couldn’t have gotten through this year without Luce (or the year before tbh!). Her constant encouragement, support, understanding (especially regarding all my medication and health changes; we love a friend who asks questions and Cher’s you on!), sense of humour, her wonderful postcards (sons of which I have framed on my wall as encouragement on bad days), her willingness to do zoom dance classes in the garden, our joint knowledge of how to dance whilst pretending to be an iceberg, and our shared belief that a gin and a pamper sesh makes everything seem a bit better have all been utterly invaluable❤️ I’m also super grateful to Kera for driving all this way, and for being such an utterly fantastic, kind, funny, all round badass and awesome human being. My family all love you!
