About roughly a month and a week ago me and art pals @pharaohzeth and @middlenightsun did another art train together and we used the same reference photo and it was perfect for a drawing with Sora together with her beloved children. Although, I did do a sketch for the art train in that month, but I had only just now finally got around to finishing my piece on it. :3c Me always being the last one to finish will probably never change ha ha. XD

Look, I'm not saying that the entirety of the Galvan race would be gamers. That would be ludicrous. I'm simply saying that if they found out about the existence of video games as well as how to program them,

Damn if only they didn't have tadpole children otherwise they'd totally have iPad toddlers smh smh- no doubt on Galvan Prime (or whatever edition of planet they're on if you don't retcon it's destruction in the Highbreed arc) they'd already found an interest in many variations of video games, even if predominantly it's not socially acceptable in most galvan cultures to be an adult in full pursuit of a gamer, not that there isn't a market for it because expectations breeds exceptions.

Because of the majority of galvan intellects steer towards the sciences, galvan video game developers probably tend to target younger fresh-out-of-the-pond adolescents with educational games, a combination of fun and learning. But these are galvans we're talking about, so no Mario Teaches Typing or Leap Frog levels of baby smarts games, more like Brain Training and significantly more difficult than what you get here. It's not to say 'fun for fun's sake' games don't exist, just that these are really the only games that early learning galvan really get until they have control over their own financial responsibilities.

I'm not saying that galvan who prefer more entertaining games later in life are unintelligent, but I am saying that Blukic and Driba seem the type to game for fun-

HMMMMM apparently. One of my friends from school is now dating my sixth form ex. (who I THINK. drugged me at a party a year or two after we broke up and tried to do me quite a lot of harm, but I'm not 100% on that one.)

mostly what I'm picking at is like. she (the friend) had some of the worst times of all of us in adolescence, she was really badly harmed by this town and the people in it. and I cannot imagine, regardless of how the ex is now (bc people do change between 21 and 30 for sure). why anyone from my friendship group would, as an adult who successfully moved out to a city and thus has thousands of New Non-Trauma-Associated People at their disposal, willingly choose to date anyone they knew in their teens.

literally man like I know this from talking to my two very very beloved besties from school who I'm still very close to. and when they told me this I was like friends you know I love you and want you in my life forever but Jesus Christ I would never date you you know too much. very valuable to have friends who understand The Fuckery but imagine choosing to build a romantic relationship on that.

regarding book!dandelion’s much discussed misogyny one thing i find insanely amusing is how the gamer bro fanbase perceives it.

because to me, it’s like, supposed to be one of his weaknesses. it’s one of the ways in which he is unhinged that continuously gets him in trouble. yeah, there’s a joke here and there. but like. dudu thinks he can get away in dandelion’s form? nah man, the angry woman with the frying pan knocks you out, worst decision you made that day. he’s afraid he’ll get murdered if they go to toussaint. he survives the quest to end up on a scaffold because he couldn’t stop fucking around.

yet, when you see the dude bro “book stans’” reaction to the queer netflix reveal there are very personal grievances when they say “you made the womanizer gay!!!”. we know he’s not gay. he’s bi. he fucks more than twice the amount. but the fact that “the womanizer” would as much as look at a man somehow hurts these people in their masculinity, which reveals they think this part of him to be the cool, masculine part.

and it’s really funny to me, because i have this idea of sapkowski using bard characters (he does it in the hussite trilogy as well) to have some, dare i say it, subversive masculinities. because dandelion is very un-masculine in the context of the story. not only does he challenge the temerian knights and others by directly insulting their idea of masculinity and often ridicules the hierarchic structures he himself benefits from despite having fled the connected responsibilities. he’s not a fighter, he’s a poet, he’s not ‘hot’, he is pretty. he’s a coward, he is vain, he is bitchy, he is emotionally intelligent. he laments the gruesomeness of war that is nothing like the heroic masculine stories told about it. he is kind of the mum of the hansa. in short, he is very ‘feminine’, except for his womanizing and his misogynist moments (and the drinking). the parts of him that are, as i said, the most pathetic of his character. and yet, readers who are caught up in the structures of hegemonic masculinities perceive it as a way to consolidate his place in the hierarchy. in a way, his assholery is his redeeming quality in the masculine order. or at least that is what i believe, because why else would they have such an extreme reaction. if dandelion loses his one hegemonic masculine trait of putting himself above women by also sleeping with men, then he is not a man.

[i am aware the concept of masculinities has fluctuated massively in history, which is the point of hegemonic masculinities, and that medieval courtly masculinities had their own ‘feminized’ moments, with monks complaining about the knightly fashion making them look like vain women, but this is a fantasy saga that the reader perceives from contemporary standards, and the masculinities presented are very warrior-centered]

plus, i imagine it complicates his friendship with geralt. because they are bro bros, going to the BROthel together, sharing beds, kissing each other on the cheek for goodbye. if one of these bros is interested in dick, it makes emotional intimacy among men ~weird~. it makes the dude bros go “a bro cant have anything”. but bro, bro, you could have everything. you could even have a bite of dandelion.

The set up was Harry in his bedroom, his bed in the back corner of the room behind him and an LED light that was writing in a cool font saying; musicforh4rry. That was his Twitch username.

You had bought it to him when he hit 5000 subscribers on Twitch.

His headphones say over his fluffy curls and there was his usual pink glow on his face from another light on his desk.

He looked very pretty for his birthday stream.

You had made his favourite kind of chocolate cake with fudge buttercream, because you loved him perhaps a little too much.

Even though you had a busy week, you would always make the time to do nice things for your boyfriend. After all, acts of service was your love language.

Harry's head popped from around the monitor, looking at you all curled up on a big, plush, beanbag.

You had a massive Oodie on that Harry had bought you for Christmas, so you could have something extra cosy to wear whilst you were reading.

You looked up from your book to smile at him shyly, only half paying attention to the plot as you were mostly listening to Harry. Sometimes you even gave up on reading and pulled up his stream on your phone, which would likely happen later.

He first held up a Converse box, with a pair of grey high-top trainers inside. "These were off my mum. So thanks mom!"

Harry rustled around to grab the next item. It was a leather bound journal and fancy pen. "This was off my band. They're great."

And lastly he held up a book called Haunting Adeline, "And part of Y/Ns gift was this, apparently, joke of a gift. They want me to read it with them. So yeah."
