I joined a few months ago a modding team who worked on a full french dub of Rhythm Heaven Megamix. It was so fun and exciting to be part of such a cool project, and I can happily say we managed to complete it! You can actually find the mod and download it by clicking right here, and see the trailer here instead. Everyone was truly invested, so go check it out! You can even hear me dubbing the sarge in Marching Orders and the cue in Packing Pests~.

To celebrate the project's end, I decided to make this huge artwork with every member of the team drawn in the game's style, including myself and, as a bonus and unofficial mascot for the mod... Melody, my Rhythm Heaven OC! XD The translated logo was made by T A I L X (the lil' blue cat spirit next to it), and the background by a DA artist named Cameo101.

Making so many charadesigns was pretty inspiring, the team was super kind and eager to participate by discussing the way they would all look. And everyone appreciated the results a lot, which is amazingly rewarding! ^w^ Hope this will show Nintendo how ready the french fanbase is for a new Rhythm Heaven game on Switch 2~.

Restarting my RH fic

Oh! Btw! I've been heavily considering rebooting my rhythm heaven fic series, Adventures in Rhythm Heaven. I initially started it with the intention of writing a huge saga about the characters of the Rhythm Heaven DS game, including all my headcanons about the relationships between the characters.

The fic series is supposed to be set before Megamix, because I actually started writing it before megamix was announced and subsequently released. Hell, I named the player character dazzle Paprika, only for a canonical character named Paprika to appear in megamix.

Speaking of the characters, I was thinking of making some like,,,, character sheets about the characters in the fic? and to like show some of the relationships between the characters in my headcanons? Anyway there are a lot of links between them in my head and I had them all written down in a blue notebook back in 2018. At the moment, I cannot find this notebook, but if I do, I'm definitely going to extract what I can from it!

So yeah, stay tuned for a remastered version of Adventures in Rhythm Heaven, as well as the long-awaited conclusion of 'Rock and Roll with the Punches'

Is Rhythm Heaven/Paradise for the DS the black sheep or something in the Rhythm Heaven timeline...? Every time I search it up, it's the only game that shows up the least in results, like even Rhythm Tengoku gets more results. Maybe it's an emulation issue since I know 3DS is easier to emulate. Kinda sucks though, I loved Rhythm Heaven so much as a kid

Game Tengoku is Jaleco's answer to Konami's Parodius series. The game features many characters from various Jaleco games blasting their way through comical stages. Game Tengoku does have quite a nice twist though that no other shooter has. Game Tengoku is actually a shooter based on the life of an arcade or game center, as they're called in Japan. The first stage starts you off flying over a load of Japanese arcade cabinets which actually have games running on them such as Super EDF and Dead Dance (from the Super Famicom) as well as others. All the enemies are also related to Jaleco games. One of my favorite stages is the 8-bit stage. On this stage it comes up saying that the 32bit CPU (being the Saturn) has been captured by an 8bit CPU changing all the graphics into black & white Space Invader efforts.

There are two versions of the game on this disc, which are the original arcade mode and the Saturn mode. Saturn mode is by far the better of the two simply because it features all the arcade levels plus 3 or 4 new ones including the karaoke level that's a really good laugh. Also, the Saturn mode has cut scenes that explain the plot of the game. Not only are the two modes of play but also a history on Jaleco games and other goodies.

Game Tengoku is a very well-presented game showing that Jaleco can actually put together a great product when they can be bothered. My only grumble is that it's too easy in two player mode and not really that hard in one player mode either. Still, it is a great laugh and easily the best comedy shooter after the Parodius series.

This version I have is the limited edition which comes with a VHS tape featuring an anime based on the game which runs for 16 minutes plus there's interviews with the voice cast lasting for 41 minutes. Below you can see the box that the VHS tape and game come in along with the front and back covers to the actual tape.
