Thinking of the fact that Varric is the very opposite of everything that represents a dwarf.

He appreciates the surface. He doesn't believe in returning to the Stone. He doesn't like reminiscing about dwarf history. He feels uncomfortable in dwarf tombs. His style of combat is ranged, not melee, and he uses his bow instead of an axe or hammer. He's a storyteller, not a Shaper. He's the least excited member of the party when you have to explore mines, caverns and tombs. Not to mention that he witnessed his brother descend into madness because of a dwarf artifact.

And I think it all boils down that his biggest fear, as spotted in The Fade, is that he becomes his parents. So he rejects pretty much everything that could resemble or remind him of dwarf culture and behavior. Of course, he's still very centered around stubbornness and greed, but even those traits are toned down the moment Hawke asks him to drop the fragment of the idol, which is such an important point for his character development.

This is why he's so interesting. He's a writer, a liar, a merchant, a gambler, a concerned and loyal friend, a partner in crime and a national hero. You'd think all these elements can't fit together, but Varric manages it. He's truly unique and special.

Neon Troupe: Unused Classes

A buncha ideas that didn't make the cut, maybe for expanded universe stuff!? (plus, buncha stashed characters for other stuff >:D)

Offense: The Designer - A class with no proper primary or secondary, instead using their misc to build their weaponry, mainly focused around different offensive capabilities, weapons are combined woodworking, robotics, and gunsmithing projects The Daredevil - With an inbuilt augmentation built off of adrenaline, this class starts out weak but gains speed, damage, and resist the lower their health goes, with 30 health making them the epitome of a glass cannon The Gambler - Main mechanic is based around a random snowball effect, changing per shot and with your primary being stronger at higher numbers but with your secondary being stronger at lower numbers The Assassin - Combat Spy in brief, with the ability to backstab with stock melee, with their primary being a VSS rifle and having the ability to do a short-ranged teleport The Mortician - A healing class that can hold a fight on their own, their healing is a spray that's harvested from dead enemies, with their melee being a shovel

Defense The Pilot - Taking to the sky not by jetpack but by mechanical wings! Different from the Recon by being focused on gliding (with a way to boost yourself into the air) and defensive oriented, maybe being long-ranged focused? The Brawler - A tanky melee class with high-knockback, depending on traps and enemies coming TOWARDS them to get at them, with their stock melee forcing enemies hit by them to their next weapon (Primary → Secondary → Melee) The Physicist - Using magnets to their advantage, their almost-magic-esque abilities are highly skillbased, being projectiles that can ricochet and headshot The Worker - A heavy lifting bot for ocean liners and a walking blockade, with middling damage all around and no health (death at 0 armor) but a complete immunity to most crits and a 50% damage resist (stuff that pierces armor does +50% damage to the Worker) The Paramedic - For those who want to play combat medic, their weapons spread heals when it hits enemies, though they do have a weak alternative for healing

Support: The Glitch - A glitched program in an extremely versatile body, each of it's three weapons has three versions which are switched with the reload key (one offensive, one defensive, one supportive), with speed and armor being decided by which version of the melee is currently active The Intern - A semi-generalist, with a makeshift gun and a primary that's for various supportive effects, also they're super tired of EVERYTHING The Producer - Like the Trickster, but being Spy+Spamton+Salesman instead of Spy+Jevil+Rockstar. Focused around getting picks and causing confusion though illusions and copies of themself, plus mad ranting, all of their gadgets are stuff disguised as innocuous objects (not including their primary) The Observer - A shadow in the dark, they have what's basically the Cloak & Dagger, placeable cameras that automark enemies it sees, and a manual mark function, with their primary minicritting enemies that are marked

Also welcome friend, I hope you enjoy the Crosshair dominated random madness.

The non clone OCs I have are ones related to the boys' story so I guess I'll go with my clone sons here! I don't know if you've come across any of my other posts about them but they essentially form an impromptu squad with Crosshair after escaping the Empire.

I kind of liked the 'Crosshair as a leader' part of season one so I took that and ran with it. I wanted to have a character arc for him where he overcomes his flaws and his new family is meant to help him with that.

There's Ghost, the medic, whose life he saves after making his own escape and the two of them work together as hired guns for a while, unknowingly bonding over their abandonment issues. Ghost caught an alien virus early on in his deployment and his company gave up on him, leaving him in the care of the local population on the planet they were stationed at.

The illness left him looking different from other clones - he's paler, smaller and more sickly, hence the name - and he was never quite accepted back into the fold because of it. He did manage to form a close bond with the locals that took care of him while he was sick, coming to love their culture, language, traditions etc. (he has a tattoo in their language on his left temple).

Anyway Ghost is a soft sympathetic soul that helps Crosshair lower his walls and his position as a medic means he compliments Crosshair in their jobs by being his support and following his lead.

The other three (aka the chaos trio) join them after a job gone wrong in an imperial base where they're held prisoner for seditious behavior.

There's Reckie, short for reckless, who's an advanced class cadet, meaning he was part of a special training program on Kamino. He specializes in hand to hand combat and he's the baby of the squad (he's around 8-9 years old when they meet as the Kaminoans deployed the ACCs early in response to the escalating war situation).

He's my adhd darling and he worms his way into Crosshair's heart through sheer stubbornness and charm. He's optimistic, ridiculously talented, a self proclaimed mechanic and just a ball of sunshine overall.

Next is Stiff who's the ultimate big brother figure. He's the slow lazy type with nerves of steel and a nonchalant attitude. Super social, super chill, an unmatched gambler (and cheater) and the one who usually handles any tensions in the squad.

In some aspects he's just your run of the mill guy but he's invaluable to the squad as its most stable presence. Oh yeah, and his name is a play on the fact that he's anything but stiff.

And finally we have Bundler who I'm particularly fond of because he's such a bastard. Imagine Crosshair's attitude multiplied by a hundred.

The most prominent thing about Bundler is his weird biology, owing to the fact that he got infected by a plant toxin at one point during the war, resulting in glowing green eyes and improved eyesight among others. And yes, as you can guess he's Crosshair's sniper protege because of that.

His batchmates used to ostracize him pretty badly so the power rush he got after his body was altered sort of pushed him over the edge. He's mistrustful, an asshole, pretty cryptic and just loves intimidating or provoking people for the hell of it. He's the one that makes Crosshair pause and self reflect because that's a mirror of his worse qualities right there.

Anyway I could go on about Bundler for hours (he's my diva, my introverted violent anti social little menace who's secretly an art kid) but I'll stop myself here.

There's lots I haven't said here but if you're curios about any of the boys, don't hesitate to ask! I love talking about them but I always worry about it going on for too long.

Vixen Rossi (Lila Rossi) (Miraculous Ladybug) (Daredevil Stuntwoman)

Vixen Rossi is an Italian stuntwoman, hailing from Rome, Italy. She's spunky, class and a strong girl who would do anything for the thrill and danger of an adventure.

Deuce D. Copular (Ace D. Copular) (Powerpuff Girls) (Escape Artist)

Deuce D. Copular is an extraordinary escape artist/gambler. He can call a move of an enemy in a blink of an eye, like playing a card game such as Black Jack or Poker.

Lucky O' Ryan (Aran Ryan) (Punch Out!) (Demolition Expert)

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Lucky is one crazy guy with TNT and a plan. Although he may look insane, he's actually a decent guy with a brain and a good heart.

Watts Sputterspark (Elmo Sputterspark/Megavolt) (Darkwing Duck) (Inventor)

Watts is the team's inventor and all-around genius. He often comes off as a 'smarty pants' but he's a lovable klutz with a bad case of memory loss.

Dino F. Jones (Alfred F. Jones/America) (Hetalia Axis Power) (Mechanic/Driver)

Dino is Lilith's cousin from Washington, DC and a great mechanic/driver. He's a guy with a bright personality, a big smile and a big appetite, having a love for hamburgers.

Macintosh 'Mac' McDougal (William McDougal/Groundskeeper Willie) (The Simpsons) (Strongman/Bodyguard)

Macintosh or Mac for short, is a Scottish strongman/bodyguard for the team, hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. He and Lucky often headbutt each other from time-to-time but they always set aside their differences to help the team. Mac often comes up as grumpy but think of him as the 'strict but caring uncle figure' of the team.

Weapon of Choice: Strength

Halo Dust (Angel Dust) (Hazbin Hotel) (Martial Artist)

Halo is an Italian-American with a great body and great kicks. He is a skilled martial artist and often comes off as gay but the team are proud to have him because of his skills and dedication to the team.

Reflecta (Rarity) (MLP) (Mistress of Special Effects)

(Note: No relation to Reflekta [Miraculous Ladybug])

Reflecta is a famous fashion designer but she's also the mistress of special effects, making her more elegant and practical. With a generous heart and a creative mind, she's one gal you don't want to mess when it comes to fashion.

Although the youngest of the team, Billy is both mischievous and adventurous, often assisting the team through HQ or providing the necessary equipment for their adventures.

Agent Hop Tsukino (Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon) (Sailor Moon) (Contact from Washington/Interpol Agent)

Agent Hop is the team's contact from Washington, a Japanese woman from Tokyo, Japan and an agent for Interpol. She is both sweet and kind but has a love for adventure, often assisting the team on their missions.

Weapon of Choice: Agility

Morty Gator (Monty/Montgomery Gator) (FNAF: Security Breach) (Solo Adventurer/Swamp Ranger)

Morty is the solo adventurer of the team, often going on solo adventurers while also bringing info about certain missions to the team, helping them on other adventures. He has one hot temper being raised by a strict but caring family in the Louisiana bayou, so try not to make him angry all the time.

Weapon of Choice: Lasso

BB Cup (Buttercup) (Powerpuff Girls) (Solo Adventurer/Pilot)

BB is Deuce's girlfriend, solo adventurer and ace pilot, often involving in adventures that take high up in the sky. Like Morty, she too has a temper, often been called a tomboy but she is both loyal and honest.

Weapon of Choice: Knuckle ring

Main Villains:

Vector/Victor Perkins (Despicable Me)

Victor Perkins, better known as Vector, used to work for Hollywood as a genius special effects designer for Lilith's autobiography movie but he was fired because his effects were 'too unrealistic' and was replaced by Reflecta. Enraged, he swore revenge, making him the first villain of the adventurers.

Weapon of Choice: Piranha gun

Thelma Al Ghul (Talia Al Ghul) (DC/Batman)

Daughter of Thaw Al Ghul, Thelma is a deadly assassin who's only goal is too kill one adventurer: E. Nigma, who has put her father behind bars after a case that involve an illegal drug smuggling operation.

Weapon of Choice: Any

Gentle Thief and Le Erosa (Gentle Criminal and La Brava) (My Hero Academia)

Gentle and La Erosa are partners, as Gentle commits crimes and La Erosa records and uploads them. The two seem to be friendly with each other and exchange their motivations. La Erosa also admires Gentle and his ideas, in return Gentle appreciates La Erosa's efforts in helping him become a notorious villain. La Erosa also has an extreme love interest in Gentle, a love interest that he seems to have with her as well.
