Galtean Kallurance au where altean guard!Lance is childhood friends with Allura and is well and truly smitten (it’s very much requited). Only everything seems to come crumbling down when they both meet Galra!Keith at a prestigious event. Events aren’t really his thing, and he’s only attending because Krolia asked him to, so part way through when he’s not longer required to be in attendance, he sneaks off to try out the altean combat simulators he’s heard so much about. Lance almost gets a knife to the face popping up unannounced.

“What are you doing here?” demands Keith, very much embarrassed about being caught.

“Stopping people like you from sneaking around the castle,” says Lance. Then he gestures beside him. “Also guarding the princess.”

He is very much not as Lance and Allura both know who would win nine times out of ten in a combat situation, but that’s the excuse they’ve been using for years, always sticking by one another’s side, and so it sees its use once again.

(They know King Alfor has seen through it. But he seems too amused to stop them.

As he’d once said to Lance, he appreciates that he’s been there for her as a friend. She’ll grow up in a world of suitors and political allies, so a friendship is one to be treasured.)

Allura brings up that the simulators can only train you so much.

Lance offers to spar with Keith. It’s a close one, but he’s still perfecting his skills with the broadsword, and when Keith gets too close in range (a little too close), he lets his guard down.

“Not much of a guard, are you?” Keith taunts. Lance glowers and immediately berates himself for getting flustered over a pretty face.

Allura goes against Keith next. Lance can’t take his eyes off. It’s like choreography, a lethal dance of weapons. They match each other’s movements perfectly.

They end up seeing a lot more of Keith after this, basically going out of their way to see him again (Lance says he wants his rematch and has been improving his skills with close range weapons because of it. Allura sees right through him before Lance even realises things himself. With Allura he’d been sure of what he felt, and can barely remember a time he didn’t like her. It’s just how it has always been. But his crush on Keith feels different and unsure).

Lance at first doesn’t know how to feel when the evidence of Allura’s crush on Keith becomes undeniable. He knows he’d hissed at that olkarion called Matt when he’d tried flirting with Allura (which she had dutifully ignored in the moment, and teased him about later on), but this is different. He’s not jealous??? It throws him through the loop until he realises why. Then it throws him through several more.

Keith just wants to know what he did to capture the attention of these two alteans (eventually he’ll be glad he did).

I meant to finish this back in August, but I lost motivation for a bit. But. Here I am, finally finishing this piece. Does it seem familiar? If so, there's a reason. This is a redraw of this old piece. With changing the Galran designs of Keith and Pidge because Pidge has gone through so many designs and changes and I wanted Keith to look like his Mama. And markings and better colouring to Thace and Ulaz. So. Here we are. Pidge and Keith as Galran kiddos, probably transformed in an incident, as was on the brain when the original version was being worked on, with Thace and Ulaz taking care of the kiddos.

started thinking about established klance telling the rest of the team that they’re engaged and after all the congratulations and tears and “no take backsies” from shiro to lance, the main question on everyones mind is “kogane or mcclain?” and klance is like “we literally just got engaged. how should we know?” and they talk it over for a while with the rest of the team and reach an agreement. there will be a wrestling ring at the reception after the ceremony and keith and lance will duke it out. they’ll take the champions name. BUT. if its a tie…….instead of just hyphenating their names, they’ll jumble them together. lance had to beg and plead with keith to agree to this bc the name lance settled on is “kocain”. keith thinks its unreasonable. lance agrees but thinks its too hilarious to pass up. (pidge gave him the idea)

im so disappointed that keith doesnt look more galran when clearly galran genetics are dominate over most other species, including more humanesque species like alteans. i get lore wise itd be weird if keither didnt know he was part alien and was purple and 7 feet tall, but give us something! give him krolias cheek marks and have him call them weird birthmarks, give him slightly yellow eyes that arent noticeable until they glow in the dark, claws and coarse hair. let the alien shine through some more!

One of my many ideas is that Keith (little Galra) and Pidge meet at a young age when the Blade of Marmora decide to ally themselves with the Olkari due to those guys being rather tech savvy. With an idea like this, I like to think of “Pidge” more so being an alien nickname meaning “small” or thereabouts.

Now thing is I am normally not that into "Lance is secret alien" aus, but once in awhile i still think about that one au someone wrote on ao3 about Lance being Lotor's son, and like can you imagine? The sheer comedy of it all? Nobody likes it especially not Lance. He is just being dragged into universe's most messiest family situation and he loathes everyone involved. Someone help he did not sign up for this
