The last time that I saw a music video that got me to consider what is feminism was Christina Aguillera's Dirty.

Knowing that that was twenty-three years ago alone is staggering. I remember doing a poll with both men and women about Dirty back then. The girls had lots to say about the 'shock' value and all the men loved it to distraction.

The fact that Nessa is able to shock in this day and age to me is a feat in itself! That is not easy to do. Perhaps it is me? I am just an old fuddy duddy now. But in my humble opinion, if those who are tasked with the role of creating cultural history do not advance or push its boundaries, then what is the point of it?

Some shock value has its purpose.It gives the compass a location. It promotes discussion about taste and body politics, relationships between the sexes and the very festival of Carnival itself.

This five week course for teens will help them to build important character traits such as self-awareness, mindfulness, respect, and honesty. They will also learn how to cope with life's challenges. They will gain a better understanding of themselves and their life goals.

The lessons will be taught through a mix of activities including written exercises, interactive discussions, videos and role-playing.
