Galleryyuhself - Run, don't crawl to Tobago!
...............................................................................
Small island economies often rely heavily on tourism. At Animae Caribe 24 ‘Tobago Edition’ we hop over to our sister isle to demonstrate how 'Tobago Trek' a game inspired by Tobago's rich folklore can impact tourism through technology and gamification. The immersive experience culminates in a thrilling ‘Night Crawl,’ a scenic bus tour across Tobago's haunted hills, stopping at key locations to redeem digital tokens featured in the game for goods or services on the island. Along the way, participants engage in challenges and visit craft stalls and bars, with the adventure ending around a bonfire at Castara Bay. We might be ‘small islands’ but this immersive cultural experience will show the world how creativity and technology can enhance real-world tourism. Sat 2nd Nov, due to limited tickets registration will open closer to the festival. Supported by Caribbean Development BankCaribe

_______
Synopsis—
In A Sense of Arrival, Kevin Adonis Browne blends literary, visual, and material forms to present a narrative of Caribbean Blackness. Arguing that the story of Caribbeanness cannot be told through words alone, Browne interweaves essays, memoir, autotheory, and narrative verse with documentary photography, portraiture, Rorschach blots, and images of his own sculptures and art installations. Browne labels this multimodal approach and rhetorical form “Caribbean Nonfiction,” and he uses it to conceptualize arrival as a theory of being. Arrival is practiced through forms of status, return, belonging, nomadism, self-exile, love, loss, presence, and haunting, each of which expresses the vast complexity and urgency of Caribbeanness. At the same time, arrival emphasizes and extends Caribbean ways of being, knowing, and doing. Throughout, Browne challenges readers to follow the archipelagic sensibilities of the Caribbean to look beyond Black death and apprehend the inherent optimism and beauty of arrival. A singular meditation on the art and process of Caribbeanness, A Sense of Arrival is a statement on how the Black Caribbean self comes to be.
Praise
“A Sense of Arrival is a brilliant, beautiful, and unorthodox contribution to Black studies debates and to the reconceptualization of Black Being more broadly. In contrast to current trends, Kevin Adonis Browne is radically optimistic in the face of Black death and nonbeing and works to convince the reader that there is Black thought before, during, and after Black nonbeing. Having asked the question of Blackness and Black subjectivity, Browne’s highly original and philosophical notion of arrival becomes the answer, moving the reader from mere identity or even subjectivity to the ontological question of the nature of being itself.” — Michelle Ann Stephens, author of Skin Acts: Race, Psychoanalysis, and the Black Male Performer
“Structured by a series of arrivals and becomings, A Sense of Arrival is formally challenging and inventive—a beautiful and welcome invitation to think what work nonfiction might do toward freedom and what it might be and require to work toward freedom. This book has much to offer; there is so much brilliance here. It will be an important addition to Caribbean thought and rhetoric, Caribbean studies, Black studies, cultural studies, photography and visual culture.” — Christina Sharpe, author of Ordinary Notes

Galleryyuhself - What a year... Iwer sang the anthem, Drew, we never expected your passing. Marlene McDonald did pass away. Cyber security in Trinidad and Tobago was challenged big time. That shark backpack was super annoying. People wore pink for Barbie, Gerard Besson said goodbye. Machel Montano and a whole book on Woodbrook was enjoyed by the public...COVID-19 alledgedly ended. Jada ...too soon, Denise and Leroy Calliste made us cry for losing them. CRIX did a nostalgic product everybody loved and Prince Harry set the tone with his tell all.

~Galleryyuhself~ Seen online The Dalgona  Challenge. At this time, the opportunity is there for businesses to support their clients and everyone else through activities like these. People will remember Post-Covid-19 that they got some comfort from your service or product.
Recipe: Makes 3 cups 2 Tbsp Dolca Coffee (Has a nice caramel flavour) 1 Tbsp Brown sugar 1 Tbsp Granulated sugar 2 Tbsp boiling water 2 cups hot or cold milk (I used dairy free milk) Whip together coffee, sugar and water for 5 mins (longer for more defined foam peaks) in a measuring cup (makes it easy to pour over the milk) using a hand mixer. Pour over milk. Enjoy! Enjoy! P.s.I do not recommend whisking by hand (unless you enjoy a paining wrist).

These documents cannot help the wordiness, or lack of any real design except the punch of color. The point is, are they readable enough to put the average person at ease?

~Galleryyuhself~ Bare Fruit is a company that I have always liked. They have shifted their advertising a bit and changed their label a few years ago by removing the vertical strap across its top to help break the seal as proof of tampering. I though it was so clever and appealing, but they stopped doing it.
I always look forward to seeing what they do for their company. The advertising isn’t a standout, but at least it got my attention.
