~Galleryyuhself~It is always interesting to see the way a company can work differently from island to island.

Under Milestone 5 of our grant funding from the Cable and Wireless Foundation/ Flow Barbados, WIRRED is rolling out a number of interactive education workshops in which participants can gain hands-on experience in permaculture techniques that they can then apply in their own homes and communities. They looked at worm-towers and how they positively affect household waste and home-gardens. By composting at home, communities are creating fertile soil - soil that can be used to grow food at home. Community gardens have popped up in Barbados over the COVID-19 lockdown period. It allows for scale and micro-trading. Get training too: cpribarbados.com Our courses are very much experiential and employ the learn-by-doing model. The "Composting 101" course is certainly the perfect starter pack for the amateur gardener. For the participant looking to go beyond the beginners level contact our partners at @cpribarbados WIRRED will build regenerative spaces that provide enhanced opportunities to its communities. Education is the foundation to improving people’s lives and sustainable development.
