Movie: The Band Wagon (1953)
New York's most sought-after ballerina, Gabrielle "Gaby" Gerard (Cyd Charisse), stars in her first Broadway musical production, and one of the most exciting parts of the play is the 12-minute “Girl Hunt Ballet” dance sequence, in which Gaby plays the seductive vamp in a red hot sequined dress with an art deco style diamond choker.
The necklace is most likely costume jewelry as many of the sketches of Mary Ann Nyberg, the film's costume designer, still exist, and they all include Cyd's accessories in the sketches. During the 1970 David Weisz Co. MGM Public Auction held at the famed studio's backlot, most of the movie's props and costumes were sold, which probably included this choker.

PINTEREST. PLAYLIST. BIO COMPLETA (mais sobre os GD). WANTED CONNECTIONS. HEADCANONS.
-: melancólico, sarcástico, pessimista, impaciente, dramático, narcisista, dependente, mimado.
-: melancólico, sarcástico, pessimista, impaciente, dramático, narcisista, dependente, mimado.
orientação sexual: vem todo mundo pansexual
aniversário: 30/09/2002, sol em libra, lua em câncer, ascendente em libra e vênus em escorpião.
mbti: ENFP-T.
inspos: klaus hargreeves (umbrella academy), ambrose spellman (o mundo sombrio de sabrina), susan mayer (desperate housewives), oberyn martell (game of thrones), lorelai gilmore (gilmore girls), eleanor shellstrop (the good place), jay gatsby (the great gatsby), jesper (six of crows), george weasley (harry potter), connor walsh (how to get away with murder), theodore laurence (little women), lucifer morningstar (lucifer), haley dunphy (modern family), rusty ryan (oceans 11), tom haverford (parks and recreation), patrick stewart (the perks of being a wallflower), Romeo (romeo and juliet), alexis rose (schitt’s creek), dean winchester (supernatural), hanna marin (pretty little liars), peter pan, sebastian valmont (cruel intentions), gilberto nogueira (bbb21).
BIO.

VIAGEM AO SUL DO REAL > Rogério Assis e Ciro Girard

Abortion in YA Books
While there are lots of YA books out there about teen reproductive choices, these titles feature characters who (spoiler alert) actually have abortions. My hope is that this list will introduce you some thought-provoking reads, and also encourage you to think about the stories that aren’t being told–the recent books on this subject aren’t as plentiful or intersectional as one would hope, and only some address the challenge of accessing abortion, a task that’s becoming increasingly difficult for many. That last fact is why I’m including a shameless plug for my National Abortion Access fundraiser here–please consider donating! You’ll get book recs from me, and the satisfaction of supporting a vital resource. Signal boosts are also appreciated! Aftercare Instructions, Bonnie Pipkin (forthcoming in June 2017) Exit, Pursued by Bear, E.K. Johnston (2016) Ask Me How I Got Here, Christine Hepperman (2016) Girl Mans Up, M-E Girard (2016) A Sense of the Infinite, Hilary T. Smith (2015) ‘89 Walls, Katie Pierson (2015) And We Stay, Jenny Hubbard (2014) Gabi, A Girl in Pieces, Isabel Quintero (2014) Falling Into Place, Amy Zhang (2014) Every Little Thing in the World, Nina de Gramont (2010) My Life as a Rhombus, Varian Johnson (2007) Gingerbread, Rachel Cohn (2002)

𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐔𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐘 𝐆𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐃-𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐄, 𝐚𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐲𝐬𝐮𝐬
